1Redox-neutral photocatalytic strategy for selective C–C bond cleavage of lignin and lignin models via PCET process显示文摘It remains challenging to achieve the selective cleavage of C–C bonds in lignin or lignin model compounds to produce aromatic products in high yield and selectivity.We have developed a redox-neutral photocatalytic strategy to accomplish this goal in both b-O-4 and b-1 lignin models at room temperature(RT)via proton-coupled electron transfer(PCET)process without any pretreatments of substrate,by adjusting the alkalinity of base to obtain a lignin models/base PCET pair with a bond dissociation free energy close to 102 kcal/mol.Without breaking down C_b–Ccbond and any C–O bonds,this PCET method is 100%atom economy and produces exclusive Ca–C_bbond cleavage products,such as benzaldehydes(up to 97%)and phenyl ethers(up to 96%),in high to excellent yields and selectivities.Preliminary studies indicated that the PCET strategy is also effective for the depolymerization of native lignin at RT,thus providing significantly important foundation to the depolymerization of lignin.Yinling Wang Yue Liu Jianghua He Yuetao Zhang 2019Science Bulletin2019,64,22:8

3Cephalopods-inspired Repairable MWCNTs/PDMS Conductive Elastomers for Sensitive Strain Sensor显示文摘Flexible electronic devices based on reversible bonds for self-curing capabilities arouses extensive interest.However,most of the composite conductive elastomers have the problems of poor mechanical properties and slow recovery of mechanical properties during multiple stretching,which hinder their stability in continuous operation.In this study,hyperbranched-MWCNTs/hyperbranched-PDMS self-healable conductive elastomers inspired by cephalopods were successfully developed.The prepared conductive elastomer exhibited good self-healing ability(91%)at room temperature excited by multiple reversible interactions.The prepared elastomer showed outstanding mechanical properties and anti-fatigue ability,so that it can cope with more arduous tasks.Moreover,the elastomer was sensitive to the change of stress states and can be used as a stable strain sensor.Therefore,the self-repairing conductive elastomer has potential practicability in the fields of human-computer interaction,motion monitoring,soft robot and so on.Kaiming Zhang Zhe Wang Yuetao Liu Haoyu Zhao Chuanhui Gao Yumin Wu 2022Chinese Journal of Polymer Science2022,40,4:2

6CeCl_(3)-Promoted Simultaneous Photocatalytic Cleavage and Amination of C_(α)–C_(β)Bond in Lignin Model Compounds and Native Lignin显示文摘It remains challenging to achievevaluableplatformchemicals from lignin because of itscomplicated polymeric structure and inherent inert chemical activities.So far,only a fewexamples have been reported for the selective cleavage of C–C bonds in lignin due to their intrinsic inertness and ubiquity.Here,we present a simple and commercially available cerium(Ⅲ)chloride(CeCl_(3))-promoted photocatalytic depolymerization strategy to realize the simultaneous cleavage and amination ofC_(α)–C_(β)bond in a variety of lignin model compounds at room temperature.This procedure does not require any pretreatments and breakdown of C–O bonds or loss ofγ-CH_(2)OHgroup to generate aldehydes(up to 97%)and N-containing products(up to 95%)in good to excellent yields.Additionally,this CeCl_(3)-based photocatalyst system could maintain excellent catalytic performance even after 10 sequential cycles with newstarting materials.Moreover,this approach realizes the precise control over the reaction via switching the external light stimuli on/off.Further,this method is effective for the depolymerization of real lignin,thus affording the corresponding cleavage and amination products of C_(α)–C_(β)bonds.Yinling Wang Jianghua He Yuetao Zhang 2020CCS Chemistry2020,2,3:1

9Effects of gibberellin priming on seedling emergence and transcripts involved in mesocotyl elongation in rice under deep direct-seeding conditions显示文摘Mesocotyl elongation is a key trait influencing seedling emergence and establishment in direct-seeding rice cultivation.The phytohormone gibberellin(GA)has positive effects on mesocotyl elongation in rice.However,the physiological and molecular basis underlying the regulation of mesocotyl elongation mediated by GA priming under deep-sowing conditions remains largely unclear.In the present study,we performed a physiological and comprehensive transcriptomic analysis of the function of GA priming in mesocotyl elongation and seedling emergence using a direct-seeding japonica rice cultivar ZH10 at a5-cm sowing depth.Physiological experiments indicated that GA priming significantly improved rice seedling emergence by increasing the activity of starch-metabolizing enzymes and compatible solute content to supply the energy essential for subsequent development.Transcriptomic analysis revealed 7074 differentially expressed genes(false discovery rate of<0.05,|log2(fold change)|of≥1)after GA priming.Furthermore,gene ontology(GO)and Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes(KEGG)enrichment analyses revealed that genes associated with transcriptional regulation,plant hormone biosynthesis or signaling,and starch and sucrose metabolism were critical for GA-mediated promotion of rice mesocotyl elongation.Further analyses showed that the expression of the transcription factor(TF)genes(v-myb avian myeloblastosis viral oncogene homolog(MYB)alternative splicing 1(MYBAS1),phytochrome-interacting factors 1(PIF1),Oryza sativa teosinte branched 1/cycloidea/proliferating cell factor 5(Os TCP5),slender 1(SLN1),and mini zinc finger 1(MIF1)),plant hormone biosynthesis or signaling genes(brassinazole-resistant 1(BZR1),ent-kaurenoic acid oxidase-like(KAO),GRETCHEN HAGEN 3.2(GH3.2),and small auxin up RNA 36(SAUR36)),and starch and sucrose metabolism genes(α-amylases(AMY2 A and AMY1.4))was highly correlated with the mesocotyl elongation and deep-sowing tolerance response.These results enhance our understanding of how nutrient metabolism-related substances and genes regulate rice mesocotyl elongation.This may facilitate future studies on related genes and the development of novel rice varieties tolerant to deep sowing.Ya WANG Yuetao WANG Ruifang YANG Fuhua WANG Jing FU Wenbo YANG Tao BAI Shengxuan WANG Haiqing YIN 2021Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2021,22,12:1

11Preparations and characterizations of ZnO nano-structural films and related SAW sensors显示文摘ZnO nano-structural films are prepared by RF magnetron sputtering and the hydrothermal synthesis.The morphologies,crystal structures and chemical compositions of the ZnO nano-scaled films are analyzed by XRD,SEM and XPS,which show that the ZnO nanorods are well oriented along c-axis as the preparation conditions are suitably selected;and there are a lot of oxygen vacancies and adsorbed oxygen atoms in the ZnO nano-structural films,which are beneficial to be utilized as gas-sensing materials.Furthermore,SAW(Rayleigh wave and Love wave) sensors based on ZnO nano-structural films deposited on 128°YX-LiNbO_3 and 36°YX-LiTaO_3 piezoelectric substrates are fabricated and used for sensing hydrogen at room temperature.The results show that the Love wave sensors have better sensing properties,such as high sensitivities and superior performances.WANG Yan ZHANG Shuyi YANG Yuetao SHUI Xiuji 2017Chinese Journal of Acoustics2017,36,2:0
12Evaporative Cooling Applied in Thermal Power Plants:A Review of the State-ofthe-Art and Typical Case Studies显示文摘A review is conducted about the application of the evaporative cooling technology in thermal power plants.Different case studies are considered,namely,evaporative air conditioners,evaporative cooling in direct air-cooled systems,gas turbine inlet cooling,wet cooling towers,and hybrid cooling towers with a crosswind effect.Some effort is provided to describe the advantages related to direct evaporative cooling when it is applied in thermal power plants and illustrate the research gaps,which have not been filled yet.In particular,typical case studies are intentionally used to compare the cooling performances when direct evaporative cooling is implemented in different types of cooling towers,including the natural draft wet cooling tower(NDWCT)and the pre-cooled natural draft dry cooling tower(NDDCT).It is shown that the NDWCT provides the best cooling performance in terms of power station cooling,followed by the pre-cooled NDDCT,and the NDDCT;moreover,the evaporative pre-cooling is able to enhance the cooling performance of NDDCT.Besides,on a yearly basis,better NDDCT cooling performances can be obtained by means of a spray-based pre-cooling approach with respect to wet media pre-cooling.Therefore,the use of nozzle spray is suggested for improvement in the performance of indirect/direct air-cooling systems with controlled water consumption.Tiantian Liu Huimin Pang Suoying He Bin Zhao Zhiyu Zhang Jucheng Wang Zhilan Liu Xiang Huang Yuetao Shi Ming Gao 2023Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2023,19,9:0
13Immunostimulant nanomodulator boosts antitumor immune response in triple negative breast cancer by synergism of vessel normalization and photothermal therapy显示文摘Tumor vascular dysfunction and immune suppression predict poor outcomes of tumor therapy.Combination of photothermal therapy(PTT)and vessel normalization with tumor immunotherapy is promising to augment antitumor benefit.Herein,we develop a potential immunostimulatory nanomodulator for treatment of triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)treatment via synergism of PTT,vessel normalization,and priming of tumoral suppressive immune microenvironment by blocking transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)pathway.The nanomodulator,namely Vac@Apt@BPs,is developed by conjugation of TGF-βinhibitor Vactosertib(Vac)and nucleolin-recognizing aptamer(Apt)on the surface of black phosphorus nanoparticles(BPs).Vac@Apt@BPs show good accumulation in TNBC via aptamer-induced active targeting of TNBC.Via the blockade of TGF-βsignaling,Vac@Apt@BPs effectively inhibit the formation of tumor neovascular,and normalize the vessels to recover vascular integrity and alleviate the hypoxia stress.Together with the tumor eradication and immunogenic cell death via PTT,robust immune response was boosted by promoted maturation of dendritic cells,suppression of regulatory T cells,and stimulation of effective T cells.This synergistic therapeutic strategy potentially suppresses the growth of TNBC in mice.Hao Jiang Yilang He Jia Zhao Ruimin Chang Hailun He Tan Li Xingyu Zhang Bo Shu Wenxuan Zhang Huaiyu Wang Jing Liu Shubing Zhang Yuetao Zhao 2023Nano Research2023,16,8:0
