| 3 | Significance and expression of Bax, Survivin and p53 in gastric carcinoma and precancerous lesions using tissue microarray显示文摘Objective: To explore the relationship between expressions of apoptosis-related protein Bax, Survivin and p53 and the molecular mechanisms of carcinogenesis and progression of gastric carcinoma. Methods: Tissue microarray and immunohistochemistry were used in this study. Results: The positive rate of Bax protein in gastric cancer (17.7%,17/96) was significantly lower than those in adjacent normal mucosa (51%), intestinal metaplasia (69.2%) and dysplasia (75%), P < 0.01. The positive rate of Survivin expression in gastric cancer (80.6%, 89/98) was significantly higher than that in adjacent normal mucosa (3.9%), P < 0.01. The positive rates of Survivin expression in tumors with different organ metastases (in lymph node metastasis 86.2%, liver 100% and ovarian 100%) were statistically higher than in tumors without metastasis (64.3%), P < 0.05. Bax expression was correlated with Survivin but not with mp53 that was closely related to Survivin expression (P < 0.05) in gastric cancer. Conclusion: The abnormal expressions of Bax, Survivin and mp53 were correlated with the tumorigenesis and progression of gastric carcinoma. | 5 | Identification and characterization of soybean dreg soluble dietary fibre by combination of extrusion pre-treatment and enzymatic modification显示文摘OBJECTIVES:Soybean dreg is a by-product of soy milk processing,which contains high levels of soluble dietary fibre(SDF).In this study,we aimed to provide comprehensive processes of pre-treated extrusion for the improving structure and properties of soybean dreg soluble dietary fibre(SDSDF),which would be a valuable approach to enhance physiological activity.METHODS:Here,we characteristic the functional role of SDSDF employing to extrusion pretreatment.Soybean dregs were pre-treated using the twin screw extrusion method followed by enzymatic modification using neutral protease,α-amylase,glucoamylase,and cellulose to produce SDSDF.The physical properties and antioxidant activity of SDSDF were investigated.RESULTS:The morphology and crystal structure of SDSDF were observed that,through extrusion processing and enzymatic modification,the SDSDF yield increased by 106.28%.Moreover,the surface structure showed block-shaped or reticular formations in the extruded SDSDF,and the size of block-shaped cells was about 10μm.Infrared spectroscopic analysis showed that a characteristic absorption peak of polysaccharide appeared at 1631 cm−1 during extrusion processing.However,after extrusion processing,decreased absorption peaks were observed for the extruded SDSDF.Furthermore,XRD analysis showed that the 2θdiffraction peak changed at 24.16°for the extruded SDSDF.CONCLUSIONS:The overall findings suggest that the water holding capacity(WHC),oil holding capacity(OHC),expansibility,and the water solubility were significantly decreased in extruded SDSDF.In addition,the scavenging ability of 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH),-OH,O_(2)^(-),and the total reducing power were significantly improved,indicating that beneficial changes had taken place in the crystal structure of cellulose or hemicellulose to improve the physiological activity in extruded SDSDF. | Min Qu Yujia Liu Guang Zhang Sophia Jun Xue Hongchen Fan Yan Wang Shiyou Yu | 2017 | Food Quality and Safety2017,1,2: | 3 |
| 6 | Visualization of Film Wavelike Characteristics and Measurement of Film Thickness in Spray Cooling显示文摘An experimental investigation was performed to study the heat transfer in an eight-nozzle spray cooling system with de-ionized water as the working fluid. Visualization of the liquid-solid contact area and the flow near the heated surface was made using a microscopic lens system in conjunction with an advanced high-speed camera. The film thickness and film wavelike characteristics under liquid volume flow rates ranged from 2.78×10 -6 m 3 /s to 1.39×10 -5 m 3 /s and surface temperatures between 22℃ and 78.2℃ were examined respectively. The development process of the liquid film on the heated surface was observed. The local mean film thickness, the film wavelike characteristics and the behavior of the bubbles appeared in the liquid film were captured using an image processing technique. It is discovered that there exists a climax of local mean film thickness during the starting process of spray cooling. When the liquid film reaches the dynamic stable state, the dimensionless mean film thickness decreases with the increase of the liquid volume flow rate, and increases with the increase of surface temperature generally. | 10 | Genetic modification of miR-34a enhances efficacy of transplanted human dental pulp stem cells after ischemic stroke显示文摘Human dental pulp stem cells(hDPSCs) promote recovery after ischemic stro ke;however,the therapeutic efficacy is limited by the poor survival of transplanted cells.For in vitro expe riments in the present study,we used oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation in hDPSCs to mimic cell damage induced by ischemia/reperfusion.We found that miRNA-34a-5p(miR-34a) was elevated under oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation conditions in hDPSCs.Inhibition of miR-34a facilitated the prolife ration and antioxidant capacity and reduced the apoptosis of hDPSCs.Moreove r,dual-luciferase reporter gene assay showed WNT1and SIRT1 as the targets of miR-34a.In miR-34a knockdown cell lines,WNT1 suppression reduced cell prolife ration,and SIRT1 suppression decreased the antioxidant capacity.Togethe r,these results indicated that miR-34a regulates cell prolife ration and antioxidant stress via targeting WNT1 and SIRT1,respectively.For in vivo expe riments,we injected genetically modified hDPSCs(anti34a-hDPSCs) into the brains of mice.We found that anti34a-hDPSCs significantly inhibited apoptosis,reduced cerebral edema and cerebral infarct volume,and improved motor function in mice.This study provides new insights into the molecular mechanism of the cell prolife ration and antioxidant capacity of hDPSCs,and suggests a potential gene that can be targeted to improve the survival rate and efficacy of transplanted hDPSCs in brain after ischemic stroke. | Jianfeng Wang Peibang He Qi Tian Yu Luo Yan He Chengli Liu Pian Gong Yujia Guo Qingsong Ye Mingchang Li | 2023 | Neural Regeneration Research2023,18,9: | 1 |

| 14 | Superelastic Radiative Cooling Metafabric for Comfortable Epidermal Electrophysiological Monitoring显示文摘Epidermal electronics with superb passive-cooling capabilities are of great value for both daytime outdoor dressing comfort and low-carbon economy. Herein, a multifunctional and skinattachable electronic is rationally developed on a porous all-elastomer metafabric for efficient passive daytime radiative cooling(PDRC) and human electrophysiological monitoring. The cooling characteristics are realized through the homogeneous impregnation of polytetrafluoroethylene microparticles in the styrene–ethylene–butylene–styrene fibers, and the rational regulation of microporosity in SEBS/PTFE metafabrics, thus synergistically backscatter ultraviolet–visible–near-infrared light(maximum reflectance over 98.0%) to minimize heat absorption while efficiently emit human-body midinfrared radiation to the sky. As a result, the developed PDRC metafabric achieves approximately 17℃ cooling effects in an outdoor daytime environment and completely retains its passive cooling performance even under 50% stretching. Further, high-fidelity electrophysiological monitoring capability is also implemented in the breathable and skin-conformal metafabric through liquid metal printing, enabling the accurate acquisition of human electrocardiograph, surface electromyogram, and electroencephalograph signals for comfortable and lengthy health regulation. | 17 | QpefBD:A Benchmark Dataset Applied to Machine Learning for Minute-Scale Quantitative Precipitation Estimation and Forecasting显示文摘Nowcasts of strong convective precipitation and radar-based quantitative precipitation estimations have always been hot yet challenging issues in meteorological sciences.Data-driven machine learning,especially deep learning,provides a new technical approach for the quantitative estimation and forecasting of precipitation.A high-quality,large-sample,and labeled training dataset is critical for the successful application of machine-learning technology to a specific field.The present study develops a benchmark dataset that can be applied to machine learning for minutescale quantitative precipitation estimation and forecasting(QpefBD),containing 231,978 samples of 3185 heavy precipitation events that occurred in 6 provinces of central and eastern China from April to October 2016-2018.Each individual sample consists of 8 products of weather radars at 6-min intervals within the time window of the corresponding event and products of 27 physical quantities at hourly intervals that describe the atmospheric dynamic and thermodynamic conditions.Two data labels,i.e.,ground precipitation intensity and areal coverage of heavy precipitation at 6-min intervals,are also included.The present study describes the basic components of the dataset and data processing and provides metrics for the evaluation of model performance on precipitation estimation and forecasting.Based on these evaluation metrics,some simple and commonly used methods are applied to evaluate precipitation estimates and forecasts.The results can serve as the benchmark reference for the performance evaluation of machine learning models using this dataset.This paper also gives some suggestions and scenarios of the QpefBD application.We believe that the application of this benchmark dataset will promote interdisciplinary collaboration between meteorological sciences and artificial intelligence sciences,providing a new way for the identification and forecast of heavy precipitation. | Anyuan XIONG Na LIU Yujia LIU Shulin ZHI Linlin WU Yongjian XIN Yan SHI Yunjian ZHAN | 2022 | Journal of Meteorological Research2022,36,1: | 0 |
