| 3 | TaTIP41 and TaTAP46 positively regulate drought tolerance in wheat by inhibiting PP2A activity显示文摘Drought is a major environmental stress limiting global wheat(Triticum aestivum)production.Exploring drought tolerance genes is important for improving drought adaptation in this crop.Here,we cloned and characterized TaTIP41,a novel drought tolerance gene in wheat.TaTIP41 is a putative conserved component of target of rapamycin(TOR)signaling,and the Ta TIP41 homoeologs were expressed in response to drought stress and abscisic acid(ABA).The overexpression of Ta TIP41 enhanced drought tolerance and the ABA response,including ABA-induced stomatal closure,while its downregulation using RNA interference(RNAi)had the opposite effect.Furthermore,Ta TIP41 physically interacted with TaTAP46,another conserved component of TOR signaling.Like TaTIP41,TaTAP46 positively regulated drought tolerance.Furthermore,TaTIP41 and TaTAP46 interacted with type-2A protein phosphatase(PP2A)catalytic subunits,such as TaPP2A-2,and inhibited their enzymatic activities.Silencing TaPP2A-2 improved drought tolerance in wheat.Together,our findings provide new insights into the roles of TaTIP41 and TaTAP46 in the drought tolerance and ABA response in wheat,and their potential application in improving wheat environmental adaptability. | Jianhui Ma Yuke Geng Hong Liu Mengqi Zhang Shujuan Liu Chenyang Hao Jian Hou Youfu Zhang Daijing Zhang Weijun Zhang Xueyong Zhang Tian Li | 2023 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,9: | 0 |
| 4 | A conserved unusual posttranscriptional processing mediated by short,direct repeated (SDR) sequences in plants显示文摘In several stress responsive gene loci of monocot cereal crops,we have previously identified an unusual posttranscriptional processing mediated by paired presence of short direct repeated (SDR) sequences at 5' and 3' splicing junctions that are distinct from conventional (U2/U12-type) splicing boundaries.By using the known SDR-containing sequences as probes,24 plant candidate genes involved in diverse functional pathways from both monocots and dicots that potentially possess SDR-mediated posttranscriptional processing were predicted in the GenBank database.The SDRs-mediated posttranscriptional processing events including cis-and trans-actions were experimentally detected in majority of the predicted candidates.Extensive sequence analysis demonstrates several types of SDR-associated splicing peculiarities including partial exon deletion,exon fragment repetition,exon fragment scrambling and trans-splicing that result in either loss of partial exon or unusual exonic sequence rearrangements within or between RNA molecules.In addition,we show that the paired presence of SDR is necessary but not sufficient in SDR-mediated splicing in transient expression and stable transformation systems.We also show prokaryote is incapable of SDR-mediated premRNA splicing. | Xiangli Niu Di Luo Shaopei Gao Guangjun Ren Lijuan Chang Yuke Zhou Xiaoli Luo Yuxiang Li Pei Hou Wei Tang Bao-Rong Lu Yongsheng Liu | 2010 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2010,37,1: | 0 |
| 5 | Epitaxial growth of 2D gallium selenide flakes for strong nonlinear optical response and visible-light photodetection显示文摘As an emerging groupⅢ–Ⅵsemiconductor two-dimensional(2D)material,gallium selenide(GaSe)has attracted much attention due to its excellent optical and electrical properties.In this work,high-quality epitaxial growth of few-layer GaSe nanoflakes with different thickness is achieved via chemical vapor deposition(CVD)method.Due to the non-centrosymmetric structure,the grown GaSe nanoflakes exhibits excellent second harmonic generation(SHG).In addition,the constructed GaSe nanoflake-based photodetector exhibits stable and fast response under visible light excitation,with a rise time of 6 ms and decay time of 10 ms.These achievements clearly demonstrate the possibility of using GaSe nanoflake in the applications of nonlinear optics and(opto)-electronics. | Mengting Song Nan An Yuke Zou Yue Zhang Wenjuan Huang Huayi Hou Xiangbai Chen | 2023 | Frontiers of physics2023,18,5: | 0 |
