Multifunctional inverse sensing by spatial distribution characterization of scattering photons显示文摘Inverse sensing is an important research direction to provide new perspectives for optical sensing. For inverse sensing, the primary challenge is that scattered photon has a complicated profile, which is hard to derive a general solution. Instead of a general solution, it is more feasible and practical to derive a solution based on a specific environment. With deep learning, we develop a multifunctional inverse sensing approach for a specific environment. This inverse sensing approach can reconstruct the information of scattered photons and characterize multiple optical parameters simultaneously. Its functionality can be upgraded dynamically after learning more data. It has wide measurement range and can characterize the optical signals behind obstructions. The high anti-noise performance, flexible implementation, and extremely high threshold to optical damage or saturation make it useful for a wide range of applications, including self-driving car, space technology, data security, biological characterization, and integrated photonics.Lianwei Chen Yumeng Yin Yang Li Minghui Hong 2019Opto-Electronic Advances2019,2,9:5
Soil microbial communities as potential regulators of N2O sources in highly acidic soils显示文摘●Soil pH was a key driver of N2O emission and sources in acidic soils.●N2O emission was significantly positively associated with the ratio of ITS to 16S.●N2O was significantly correlated with bacterial and fungal community composition.●Fungi contributed to N2O in highly acidic tea plantations and vegetable fields.Acidic soil is a main source of global nitrous oxide(N2O)emissions.However,the mechanism behind the high N2O emissions from acidic soils remains a knowledge gap.The objective of this microcosm incubation study was to pin-point the microbial mechanisms involved in N2O production processes in acidic soils. For that purpose, the isotopic signatures and microbial community structure and composition of four soil samples were examined. The results showed that highly acid soils(pH=3.51)emitted 89 times more N2O than alkaline soils(pH=7.95)under the same nitrogen(N)inputs.Fungal denitrification caused high N2O emissions in acidic soils.ITS to 16S abundance ratio was positively correlated with cumulative N2O emissions from the tested soils. The highly acid soils(pH<4.5)showed greater fungal nirK gene abundance and lower abundance of AOA-amoA,AOB-amoA,nirK,nosZ I and nosZ II genes. The unclassified Aspergillaceae fungi(63.65%)dominated the highly acidic soils and was the most strongly correlated genus with N2O emissions. These findings highlight that soil microbial community structures, denitrifying fungi in particular, shaped by low pH(pH<4.5)lead to high N2O emissions from acidic soils.Junhui Yin Huaihai Chen Pengpeng Duan Kun Zhu Naihui Li Yan Ma Yumeng Xu Jingheng Guo Rui Liu Qing Chen 2023Soil Ecology Letters2023,5,4:1
Interlayer exciton dynamics of transition metal dichalcogenide heterostructures under electric fields显示文摘Stacking single layers of atoms on top of each other provides a fundamental way to achieve novel material systems and engineer their physical properties, which offers opportunities for exploring fundamental physics and realizing next-generation optoelectronic devices.Among the two-dimensional(2D)-stacked systems, transition metal dichalcogenide(TMDC)heterostructures are particularly attractive because they host tightly-bonded interlayer excitons which possess various novel and appealing properties. These interlayer excitons have drawn significant research attention and hold high potential for the application in unique optoelectronic devices, such as polarization-and wavelength-tunable single photon emitters, valley Hall transistors, and possible high-temperature superconductors. The development of these devices requires a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental properties of these interlayer excitons and the impact of electric fields on their behaviors. In this review,we summarize the recent advances on the understanding of interlayer exciton dynamics under electric fields in TMDC heterostructures. We put emphasis on the electrical modulation of interlayer excitons’emission, the valley Hall transport of charge carriers after the separation of interlayer excitons by an electric field, and the correlation physics of interlayer excitons and charges under electrical doping and tuning.Challenges and perspectives are finally discussed for the application of TMDC heterostructures in future optoelectronics.Jian Tang Yue Zheng Ke Jiang Qi You Zhentian Yin Zihao Xie Henan Li Cheng Han Xiaoxian Zhang Yumeng Shi 2024Nano Research2024,17,5:0
A review on structures, materials and applications of stretchable electrodes显示文摘With the rapid development of wearable smart devices, many researchershave carried out in-depth research on the stretchable electrodes. As one of the corecomponents for electronics, the electrode mainly transfers the electrons, which plays animportant role in driving the various electrical devices. The key to the research for thestretchable electrode is to maintain the excellent electrical properties or exhibit theregular conductive change when subjected to large tensile deformation. This articleoutlines the recent progress of stretchable electrodes and gives a comprehensiveintroduction to the structures, materials, and applications, including supercapacitors,lithium-ion batteries, organic light-emitting diodes, smart sensors, and heaters.Theperformance comparison of various stretchable electrodes was proposed to clearly showthe development challenges in this field. We hope that it can provide a meaningfulreference for realizing more sensitive, smart, and low-cost wearable electrical devices inthe near future.Yumeng WANG Xingsheng LI Yue HOU Chengri YIN Zhenxing YIN 2021Frontiers of Materials Science2021,15,1:0
Optimizing 2D-metal contact in layered Tin-selenide via native oxide modulation显示文摘The discovery of two-dimensional(2D)semiconductor has opened up new avenues for the development of short-channel field-effect transistors(FETs)with desired electrical performance.Among them, orthorhombic tin-selenide(SnSe)has garnered increasing attention due to its potential applications in a variety of electronic, optoelectronic, and thermoelectric devices. However, the realization of high-performance SnSe FETs with low contact resistance(Rc)remains a challenge.Herein,we systematically investigate the contact of few-layer SnSe FETs through the modulation of native oxide on SnSe by using different metals. It is found that chromium(Cr)-contacted devices possess the best FET performance, such as electron mobility up to 606 cm^(2)/(V·s)at 78 K,current on/off ratio exceeding 1010,and saturation current of~550μA/μm,where a negligible Schottky barrier(SB)of~30 meV and a low contact resistance of~425Ωμm are achieved.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and cross-sectional electron dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX)results further reveal that the improved contact arises from the Cr-induced reduction of native oxide(SnOx)to Sn,which thins the tunneling barrier for efficient electron injection. Our findings provide a deep insight into the 2D-metal contact of SnSe and pave the way for its applications in future nanoelectronics.Yue Zheng Qi You Zhentian Yin Jian Tang Ke Jiang Zihao Xie Henan Li Cheng Han Yumeng Shi 2024Nano Research2024,17,4:0
