2The Reference Genome Sequence of Scutellaria baicalensis Provides Insights into the Evolution of Wogonin Biosynthesis显示文摘Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi is important in Chinese traditional medicine where preparations of dried roots,'Huang Qin,' are used for liver and lung complaints and as complementary cancer treatments. We report a high-quality reference genome sequence for S. baicalensis where 93% of the 408.14-Mb genome has been assembled into nine pseudochromosomes with a super-N50 of 33.2 Mb. Comparison of this sequence with those of closely related species in the order Lamiales, sesamum indicum and Salvia splendens,revealed that a specialized metabolic pathway for the synthesis of 4'-deoxyflavone bioactives evolved in the genus Scu-tellaria. We found that the gene encoding a specific cinnamate coenzyme A ligase likely obtained its newfunc- tion following recent mutations, and that four genes encoding enzymes in the 4'-deoxyflavone pathway are present as tandem repeats in the genome of S. baicalensis. Further analyses revealed that gene duplications, segmental duplication, gene amplification, and point mutations coupled to gene neo- and subfunctionaliza-tions were involved in the evolution of 4'-deoxyflavone synthesis in the genus Scutellaria. Our study not only provides significant insight into the evolution of specific flavone biosynthetic pathways in the mint family, Lamiaceae, but also will facilitate the development of tools for enhancing bioactive productivity by metabolic engineering in microbes or by molecular breeding in plants. 4Productivity matching and quantitative prediction of coalbed methane wells based on BP neural network显示文摘It is a great challenge to match and predict the production performance of coalbed methane (CBM) wells in the initial production stage due to heterogeneity of coalbed, uniqueness of CBM production process, complexity of porosity-permeability variation and difficulty in obtaining some key parameters which are critical for the conventional prediction methods (type curve, material balance and numerical simulation). BP neural network, a new intelligent technique, is an effective method to deal with nonlinear, instable and complex system problems and predict the short-term change quantitatively. In this paper a BP neural model for the CBM productivity of high-rank CBM wells in Qinshui Basin was established and used to match the past gas production and predict the futural production performance. The results from two case studies showed that this model has high accuracy and good reliability in matching and predicting gas production with different types and different temporal resolutions, and the accuracy increases as the number of outliers in gas production data decreases. 5Integrated generation–consumption dispatch based on compensation mechanism considering demand response behavior显示文摘Demand response(DR) is important to account for behaviors of the demand side to yield an optimal dispatch result. However, it is difficult for energy suppliers to collect customers' private information unless there is an incentive mechanism for customers to do so. Therefore,this paper proposes a new integrated generation–consumption dispatch based on compensation mechanism considering DR behavior. Firstly, in light of the dayahead load forecast data, we deduce the utility function model of different customers. By subtracting generating units' operation cost from consumers' total utility, the dispatch model has a decentralized demand participant structure based on this utility function. The utility function is used to describe consumers' preferences and energy consumption behaviors. Secondly, an effective compensation mechanism is designed to ensure customers to select the level of compensation appropriate to their willingness to curtail load. Finally, a new dispatch model is proposed that incorporates the DR compensation mechanism into the generation–consumption dispatch model. The new model can improve the interaction of generation and consumption,and benefit both the energy supplier and its customers. The proposed model is piecewise linearized and solved by a mixed-integer linear programming method. It is tested on a six-bus system and the IEEE 118-bus system. 6Effectiveness of flesh-moistening paste in psoriasis vulgaris patients with symptom pattern of blood stasis:a randomized and parallel-controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of flesh-moistening paste for treating psoriasis vulgaris in patients with blood stasis pattern in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).METHODS:Eudipleural rashes on both the left and right side of the same patients with psoriasis vulgaris,diagnosed via TCM as blood stasis pattern,were selected as the targeted skin lesions.A randomized,double-blind,parallel-controlled,multicenter controlled trial was conducted.The targeted skin lesions were categorized into either the treatment or control group.The treatment group used the flesh-moistening paste;the control group used a placebo.Both the paste and the placebo were topically applied twice daily for eight weeks.The patients were examined biweekly to evaluate the effects.The two groups were compared in terms of the psoriasis area and severity index(PASI)of the targeted skin lesions,which is scored according to erythema,desquamation,infiltration,area,pruritus,and improvement of skin barrier function.Adverse events were recorded during the study period.SPSS 21.0 was used to analyze the data.RESULTS:Fifty-six patients were enrolled between February 2016 and October 2017.Two were complicated by cardio-cerebrovascular disease and were excluded;thus,54 outpatients were finally enrolled in the study.Four dropped out during the study period:three failed to complete their follow-up visits for unknown reasons,and one exited due to an adverse event.The final trial comprised 50 of the 56 originally selected patients,with a 92.6%completion rate.After 8 weeks of treatment,the targeted skin lesion scores differed significantly(P<0.05).The PASI scores of the targeted skin lesions differed significantly beginning at week 6(P<0.05).The treatment group presented better results than those of the control group.Only one patient had an adverse reaction associated with the treatment.Improvements in skin barrier function differed significantly(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The flesh-moistening paste demonstrated a reliable curative effect and safety for treating psoriasis vulgaris in patients with blood stasis patterns.The topical paste improved the barrier function of the skin lesions.Guo Xinwei Lang Na Li Guanru Li Ping Qu Jianhua Zhou Dongmei Wang Ping Cang Zhang Deng BingXu Lou Weihai Xu Jingna Lan Haibing Liu Yumin Zhang Weishu Sun Liyun 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,6:4
7Data mining-based study on sub-mentally healthy state among residents in eight provinces and cities in China显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To apply data mining methods to research on the state of sub-mental health among residents in eight provinces and cities in China and to mine latent knowledge about many conditions through data mining and analysis of data on 3970 sub-mentally healthy individuals selected from 13385 relevant question naires.METHODS: The strategic tree algorithm was used to identify the main mani festations of the state of sub-mental health. The backpropogation artificial neural network was used to analyze the main mani festations of sub-healthy mental states of three different degrees. A sub-mental health evaluation model was then established to achieve predictive evaluationresults.RESULTS: Using classifications from the Scale of Chinese Sub-healthy State, the main manifestations of sub-mental health selected using the strate gictree were F1101(Do you lack peace of mind?),F1102(Are you easily nervous when something comes up?), and F1002(Do you often sigh?). The relative intensity of manifestations of sub-mental health was highest for F1101, followed by F1102,and then F1002. Through study of the neural network, better differentiation could be made between moderate and severe and between mild and severe states of sub-mental health. The differentiation between mild and moderate sub-mental health states was less apparent. Additionally, the sub-mental health state evaluation model, which could be used to predict states of sub-mental health of different individuals, was established using F1101, F1102, F1002, and the mental self-assessment totals core.CONCLUSION: The main manifestations of the state of sub-mental health can be discovered using data mining methods to research and analyze the latent laws and knowledge hidden in research evidence on the state of sub-mental health. The state of sub-mental health of different individuals can be rapidly predicted using the model established here.This can provide a basis for assessment and intervention for sub-mental health. 8High-efficiency all-dielectric transmission metasurface for linearly polarized light in the visible region显示文摘We propose and numerically investigate an efficient transmission-mode metasurface that consists of quasicontinuous trapezoid-shaped crystalline silicon nanoantennas on a quartz substrate. This metasurface provides a linear phase gradient and realizes both full 2π phase shift and high transmission efficiency in the operating wavelength range from 740 to 780 nm. At the central wavelength around 751 nm, the total transmission efficiency is up to 88.0% and the section of the desired anomalous refraction is 80.4%. The anomalous refraction angle is 29.62°, and larger refraction angle can be achieved by changing the period of the super cell. We demonstrate a refraction angle as large as 38.59°, and the anomalous transmission efficiency reaches 76.6% at wavelength of 741 nm. It is worth mentioning that the structure is much simpler than conventional metasurfaces based on arrays of discrete nanoantennas. 10Aquaporin 4 expression and ultrastructure of the blood-brain barrier following cerebral contusion injury显示文摘This study aimed to investigate aquaporin 4 expression and the ultrastructure of the blood-brain barrier at 2-72 hours following cerebral contusion injury,and correlate these changes to the formation of brain edema.Results revealed that at 2 hours after cerebral contusion and laceration injury,aquaporin 4 expression significantly increased,brain water content and blood-brain barrier permeability increased,and the number of pinocytotic vesicles in cerebral microvascular endothelial cells increased.In addition,the mitochondrial accumulation was observed.As contusion and laceration injury became aggravated,aquaporin 4 expression continued to increase,brain water content and blood-brain barrier permeability gradually increased,brain capillary endothelial cells and astrocytes swelled,and capillary basement membrane injury gradually increased.The above changes were most apparent at 12 hours after injury,after which they gradually attenuated.Aquaporin 4 expression positively correlated with brain water content and the blood-brain barrier index.Our experimental findings indicate that increasing aquaporin 4 expression and blood-brain barrier permeability after cerebral contusion and laceration injury in humans is involved in the formation of brain edema.Xinjun Li Yangyun Han Hong Xu Zhongshu Sun Zengjun Zhou Xiaodong Long Yumin Yang Linbo Zou 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,4:2

12Probing the degenerate pattern growth of {100}<011> orientation in a directionally solidified Al-4.5 wt% Cu alloy显示文摘Degenerate pattern is a seemingly disordered morphology but it exhibits the inherently ordered crystal connected with tip-splitting and limited stability which makes it difficult to observe in the metallic system. Here we employ(100)[011] orientated planar-front seeds using directional solidification and reveal the fundamental origins of the degenerate pattern growth in an Al-4.5 wt% Cu alloy. We find that the spacing of the tip-splitting(λ) in the degenerate of the alloys followed a power law,λ∝V^-0.5, and the frequency(f) of the splitting was related to the growth velocity(V) by f ∝V^1.5. The dimensionless growth direction(θ/θ0) increased monotonously and approached 0.6 with faster velocity, attributed to its anisotropy in the interface kinetics. Once growth velocity exceeded a threshold, two types of pattern transitions from degenerate to regular dendrites were proposed. 16Effect of heat treatment on the microstructure and properties of CVD SiC fiber显示文摘In this study, the effect of heat treatment on the room temperature strength of W-core Si C fiber produced by chemical vapor deposition(CVD) was investigated. Thermal exposure in the temperature range of 900–1000?C decreases the strength of the Si C fiber. Fracture morphology analysis indicates that failure initiations predominantly take place at the W-core/Si C interface. A reaction layer that formed at the W-core/Si C interface during thermal exposure degraded the fiber strength and an empirical linear relationship of strength vs thickness of the reaction layer can be obtained.
