Data mining-based detection of acupuncture treatment on juvenile myopia显示文摘OBJECTIVE:We applied data mining techniques to the study of acupuncture as a treatment for juvenile myopia, with the aim of identifying hidden patterns in the data.METHODS:Fifty patients with juvenile myopia were selected and treated with acupuncture, and data mining was used to analyze the effects of treatment and the influence of behavioral variables.Clustering analysis was used to divide myopia patients into two classifications before acupuncture treatment.Artificial neural network BP algorithm was adopted to analyze the roles of different factors in changes in diopters. An association algorithm was used to analyze factors associated with the subjective experience of acupuncture and average diopter.RESULTS:The two classification results were fully consistent with the understandings of the ophthalmic circles. The duration of using the Internet and watching TV every day was the main factor that affected vision.Acupuncture feelings and therapeutic effect have a strong correlativity.A good or above experience's score of acupuncture could slow the progression of juvenile myopia.CONCLUSION:Collecting data from patients with juvenile myopia by using data mining can extract hidden potential rules and knowledge from the research evidence. The decision support can be provided to improve the doctor's clinical acupuncture treatment effects. | Xuming Yang Lingyu Xu Fei Zhong Ying Zhu | 2012 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,3: | 15
Improved Brassica rapa reference genome by single-molecule sequencing and chromosome conformation capture technologies显示文摘Brassica rapa comprises several important cultivated vegetables and oil crops.Current reference genome assemblies of Brassica rapa are quite fragmented and not highly contiguous, thereby limiting extensive genetic and genomic analyses. Here,we report an improved assembly of the B.rapa genome(v3.0)using single-molecule sequencing, optical mapping, and chromosome conformation capture technologies(Hi-C).Relative to the previous reference genomes, our assembly features a contig N50 size of 1.45 Mb,representing a~30-fold improvement. We also identified a new event that occurred in the B.rapa genome~1.2 million years ago, when a long terminal repeat retrotransposon(LTR-RT)expanded.Further analysis refined the relationship of genome blocks and accurately located the centromeres in the B.rapa genome. The B.rapa genome v3.0 will serve as an important community resource for future genetic and genomic studies in B.rapa.This resource will facilitate breeding efforts in B.rapa,as well as comparative genomic analysis with other Brassica species. | Lei Zhang Xu Cai Jian Wu Min Liu Stefan Grob Feng Cheng Jianli Liang Chengcheng Cai Zhiyuan Liu Bo Liu Fan Wang Song Li Fuyan Liu Xuming Li Lin Cheng Wencai Yang Mai-he Li Ueli Grossniklaus Hongkun Zheng Xiaowu Wang | 2018 | Horticulture Research2018,5,1: | 10

Effect of Zishenpingchan granule prepared from Chinese medicinal substances on the c-Jun N-terminal protein kinase pathway in mice with Parkinson's disease induced by 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the regulatory mechanism of the c-Jun N-terminal protein kinase(JNK)signaling pathway in substantia nigra(SN) dopaminergic neurons inflammation and apoptosis, and the neuroprotective effect of Zishenpingchan granules in mice with Parkinson's disease(PD) induced by 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine(MPTP).METHODS:PD model mice were established by intraperitoneally injecting MPTP.Sixty mice were divided into a model group, Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) group and control group. The mice of the TCM group were administered Zishenpingchan granules 7 days before PD induction.Seven days after PD induction, we examined locomotor activity, and performed the rotarod test and swimming test,to evaluate limb movement function.Furthermore,we used immunohistochemistry and western blotting to examine the expression of tyrosine hydroxylase(TH), cyclooxygenase-2(Cox-2), caspase-3 and p-JNK.The terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated d UTP nick end labeling(TUNEL) method was used to examine neuron apoptosis in the SN.RESULTS:Compared with the control group, the mean score of locomotor activity, rotarod test and swimming test was significantly lower in the model group(P < 0.05); the TH-positive neuron expression was significantly decreased in the SN pars compacta(SNpc); the protein expression levels of Cox-2,caspase-3 and p-JNK was obviously increased; and the number of TUNEL-positive neurons in the SN was increased(P < 0.01).Compared with the model group, the mean score of neurobehavioral tests in the TCM group was obviously higher, the loss of TH-positive neurons ignificantly decreased, the protein expression levels of Cox-2, caspase-3 and p-JNK obviously decreased, and the number of TUNEL-positive neurons in the SN clearly decreased(P < 0.01).CONCLUSION:The JNK pathway plays an important role in the regulation of inflammation and apoptosis in nigral cells in PD mice.TCM can suppress the over-activation of the JNK pathway in the SN, and alleviate the inflammatory response in nigral cells and dopaminergic neuron apoptosis in PD mice. | Ye Qing Yuan Xiaolei Zhou Jie Yuan Canxing Yang Xuming | 2017 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2017,37,2: | 6
Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). With an exposure of 5.6 ton-years, the sensitivity of Panda X-4 T could reach a minimum spin-independent dark matter-nucleon cross section of 6 × 10^(-48) cm^2 at a dark matter mass of 40 Ge V/c^2. | HongGuang Zhang Abdusalam Abdukerim Wei Chen Xun Chen YunHua Chen XiangYi Cui BinBin Dong DeQing Fang ChangBo Fu Karl Giboni Franco Giuliani LinHui Gu XuYuan Guo ZhiFan Guo Ke Han ChangDa He ShengMing He Di Huang XingTao Huang Zhou Huang Peng Ji XiangDong Ji YongLin Ju ShaoLi Li Yao Li Heng Lin HuaXuan Liu JiangLai Liu YuGang Ma YaJun Mao KaiXiang Ni JinHua Ning XiangXiang Ren Fang Shi AnDi Tan AnQing Wang Cheng Wang HongWei Wang Meng Wang QiuHong Wang SiGuang Wang XiuLi Wang XuMing Wang Zhou Wang MengMeng Wu ShiYong Wu JingKai Xia MengJiao Xiao PengWei Xie BinBin Yan JiJun Yang Yong Yang ChunXu Yu JuMin Yuan JianFeng Yue Dan Zhang Tao Zhang Li Zhao QiBin Zheng JiFang Zhou Ning Zhou XiaoPeng Zhou | 2019 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2019,62,3: | 6
Zhichan decoction induces differentiation of dopaminergic neurons in Parkinson's disease rats after neural stem cell transplantation显示文摘The goal of this study was to increase the dopamine content and reduce dopaminergic metabolites in the brain of Parkinson's disease rats. Using high-performance liquid chromatography, we found that dopamine and dopaminergic metabolite(dihydroxyphenylacetic acid and homovanillic acid) content in the midbrain of Parkinson's disease rats was increased after neural stem cell transplantation + Zhichan decoction, compared with neural stem cell transplantation alone. Our genetic algorithm results show that dihydroxyphenylacetic acid and homovanillic acid levels achieve global optimization. Neural stem cell transplantation + Zhichan decoction increased dihydroxyphenylacetic acid levels up to 10-fold, while transplantation alone resulted in a 3-fold increment. Homovanillic acid levels showed no apparent change. Our experimental findings show that after neural stem cell transplantation in Parkinson's disease rats, Zhichan decoction can promote differentiation of neural stem cells into dopaminergic neurons. | Huifen Shi Jie Song Xuming Yang | 2014 | Neural Regeneration Research2014,9,9: | 6
Optimization model research on efficacy in treatment of chronic urticaria by Chinese and Western Medicine based on a genetic algorithm显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the potential rules and knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western Medicine (WM) treatment on chronic urticaria (CU) based on data-mining methods. METHODS: Sixty patients with chronic urticaria, treated with TCM and WM, were selected. Gray correlation analyses were adopted to determine therapeutic efficacy. Association algorithms were utilized to ascertain the correlation between the disease course and treatment results. A genetic algorithm was applied to discover the optimization model in theTCM andWM treatment on CU. RESULTS: The total symptom scores after 4 weeks and 8 weeks of treatment in the TCM spleen-strengthening group correlated highly with the pretreatment total symptom score. The duration of treatment showed the greatest impact on the total symptom score. A quartic equation was established (y=-1.6403×10-6x4+0.00025576x3+0.0012819 x2-1.024x+79.5879, and x=106.9518, y=83.0036) using the genetic algorithm. CONCLUSION: TCM treatment had a better effect in the later stage, whereas WM was better in the early stage. The duration of disease course had an impact on the effects of treatment. If the average total symptom score before treatment was ≤ 83.0036, TCM or WM treatment could achieve better efficacy. | Macheng Yan Fuyuan Ye Yuquan Zhang Xi Cai Yanhua Fu Xuming Yang | 2013 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,1: | 4
Stress Effects of Chlorate on Longan(Dimocarpus longan Lour.)Trees: Changes in Nitrogen and Carbon Nutrition显示文摘Three-year-old potted longan(Dimocarpus longan Lour.cv.Shixia)trees were treated with potassium chlorate and effects on nitrogen and carbon nutrition were examined. The results showed that potassium chlorate at 10 and 20 g per pot failed to induce flower but suppressed shoot growth and caused leaf chlorosis and drop. The treatment significantly inhibited nitrate reductase but increased nitrogen concentration in the leaves and buds.Concentration of soluble amino acids in the leaves of treated trees increased within 14 days and then declined to the control level, while it increased constantly in buds.In both organs, the amino acid increase was an all-round one, with all the tested 21 amino acids increased. However, soluble proteins in the leaves were slightly increased by chlorate, indicating that de novo synthesis of amino acids was activated.Chlorate reduced photosynthetic rate and stomatal conductance but slightly increased CO2 concentration in the mesophyll, suggesting that chlorate treatment damaged photosynthetic apparatus. The damage was reflected by the destruction of thylakoids and grana in the chloroplasts.Chlorate also caused depletion of starch with significant accumulation of soluble sugars in the leaves.Accumulation of sugars and soluble amino acids indicates osmotic adjustment in response to the stress caused by chlorate treatment. | LU Jiemei YANG Ruitao WANG Huicong HUANG Xuming | 2017 | Horticultural Plant Journal2017,3,6: | 4
β-catenin activation in hair follicle dermal stem cells in duces ectopic hair outgrowth and skin fibrosis显示文摘Hair follicle dermal sheath(DS)harbors hair follicle dermal stem cells(hfDSCs),which can be recruited to replenish DS and dermal papilla(DP).Cultured DS cells can differentiate into various cell lineages in vitro. However,it is unclear how its plasticity is modulated in vivo.Wnt/β-catenin signaling plays an important role in maintaining stem cells of various lineages and is required for HF development and regeneration. Here we report that activation ofβ-catenin in DS generates ectopic HF outgrowth(EF)by reprogramming HF epidermal cells and DS cells themselves, and endows DS cells with hair inducing ability.Epidermal homeostasis of pre-existing HFs is disrupted.Additionally,cell-autonomous progressive skin fibrosis is prominent in dermis, where the excessive fibroblasts largely originate from DS.Gene expression analysis of purified DS cells with activatedβ-catenin revealed significantly increased expression of Bmp,Fgf,and Notch ligands and administration of Bmp,Fgf,or Notch signaling inhibitor attenuates EF formation. In summary, our findings advance the current knowledge of high plasticity of DS cells and provide an insight into understanding how Wnt/β-catenin signaling controls DS cell behaviors. | Yixin Tao Qingchun Yang Lei Wang Jie Zhang Xuming Zhu Qianqian Sun Yunbin Han Qian Luo Yushu Wang Xizhi Guo Ji Wu Baojie Li Xiao Yang Lin He Gang Ma | 2019 | Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2019,11,1: | 4
A precise and accurate acupoint location obtained on the face using consistency matrix pointwise fusion method显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To develop a more precise and accurate method, and identified a procedure to measure whether an acupoint had been correctly located.METHODS: On the face, we used an acupoint location from different acupuncture experts and obtained the most precise and accurate values of acupoint location based on the consistency information fusion algorithm, through a virtual simulation of the facial orientation coordinate system.RESULTS: Because of inconsistencies in each acupuncture expert's original data, the system error could not be modified using the characteristics ofthe general weight calculation. First, we corrected each expert of acupoint location system error itself,to obtain a rational quantification for each expert of acupuncture and moxibustion acupoint location consistent support degree, to obtain pointwise variable precision fusion results, to put every expert's acupuncture acupoint location fusion error enhanced to pointwise variable precision. Then, we more effectively used the measured characteristics of different acupuncture expert's acupoint location, to improve the measurement information utilization efficiency and acupuncture acupoint location precision and accuracy.CONCLUSION: Based on using the consistency matrix pointwise fusion method on the acupuncture experts' acupoint location values, each expert's acupoint location information could be calculated, and the most precise and accurate values of each expert's acupoint location could be obtained. | Yang Xuming Ye Yijun Xia Yong Wei Xuanzhong Wang Zheyu Ni Hongmei Zhu Ying Xu Lingyu | 2015 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,1: | 4
Adaptive Antenna-Activation Based Beamforming for Large-Scale MIMO Communication Systems of High Speed Railway显示文摘Large-scale array aided beamforming improves the spectral efficiency(SE) as a benefit of high angular resolution. When dual-beam downlink beamforming is applied to the train moving towards cell edge, the inter-beam ambiguity(IBA) increases as the directional difference between beams becomes smaller. An adaptive antenna activation based beamforming scheme was proposed to mitigate IBA.In the district near the base station(BS),all antenna elements(AEs) were activated to generate two beams. As the distance from the train to the BS increased, only the minimum number of AEs satisfying the resolution criterion would be activated. At the cell edge, one beam was switched off due to intolerable IBA.The proposed scheme can achieve SE gain to the non-adaptive scheme and show more robustness against the direction-of-arrival(DOA) estimation error. | Meng Cheng Shaoshi Yang Xuming Fang | 2016 | China Communications2016,13,9: | 3
Attaining the liquid helium temperature with a compact pulse tube cryocooler for space applications显示文摘Recent breakthroughs in space science have motivated space exploration programs in many countries including China. Cryocoolers, which provide the mandatory low-temperature environment for many sensitive yet delicate space detectors, are crucial for the proper functioning of various systems. One benchmark for the cryocooler performance is attaining the liquid helium temperature. However, even with complex configurations and multiple driving sources, only a few cryocoolers to date can achieve this goal. Here we report a high-frequency pulse tube cryocooler(HPTC) driven by a single non-oil-lubrication compressor which is capable of reaching the liquid helium temperature while offering other advantages such as high compactness, excellent reliability and high efficiency. The HPTC obtains a no-load temperature of 4.4 K, which is the first realization of cooling below the4 He critical point with a gas-coupled two-stage arrangement. The prototype can provide a cooling power of 87 mW at 8 K, and 5.2 mW at 5 K with a 425 W input electric power, showing leading-level efficiency. Moreover, we demonstrate the ability of the cryocooler to simultaneously provide cooling power at different temperature levels to meet different requirements. Therefore, the prototype developed here could be a promising cryocooler for space applications and beyond. | LIU XuMing CHEN LiuBiao WU XianLin YANG Biao WANG Jue ZHU WenXiu WANG JunJie ZHOU Yuan | 2020 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,3: | 3
Data mining-based study on sub-mentally healthy state among residents in eight provinces and cities in China显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To apply data mining methods to research on the state of sub-mental health among residents in eight provinces and cities in China and to mine latent knowledge about many conditions through data mining and analysis of data on 3970 sub-mentally healthy individuals selected from 13385 relevant question naires.METHODS: The strategic tree algorithm was used to identify the main mani festations of the state of sub-mental health. The backpropogation artificial neural network was used to analyze the main mani festations of sub-healthy mental states of three different degrees. A sub-mental health evaluation model was then established to achieve predictive evaluationresults.RESULTS: Using classifications from the Scale of Chinese Sub-healthy State, the main manifestations of sub-mental health selected using the strate gictree were F1101(Do you lack peace of mind?),F1102(Are you easily nervous when something comes up?), and F1002(Do you often sigh?). The relative intensity of manifestations of sub-mental health was highest for F1101, followed by F1102,and then F1002. Through study of the neural network, better differentiation could be made between moderate and severe and between mild and severe states of sub-mental health. The differentiation between mild and moderate sub-mental health states was less apparent. Additionally, the sub-mental health state evaluation model, which could be used to predict states of sub-mental health of different individuals, was established using F1101, F1102, F1002, and the mental self-assessment totals core.CONCLUSION: The main manifestations of the state of sub-mental health can be discovered using data mining methods to research and analyze the latent laws and knowledge hidden in research evidence on the state of sub-mental health. The state of sub-mental health of different individuals can be rapidly predicted using the model established here. This can provide a basis for assessment and intervention for sub-mental health. It can also replace the relatively outdated approaches to research on sub-health in the technical era of information and digitization by combining the study of states of sub-mental health with information techniques and by further quantifying the relevant information. | Hongmei Ni Xuming Yang Chengquan Fang Yingying Guo Mingyue Xu Yumin He | 2014 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2014,34,4: | 3
Enhanced ion conductivity and electrode–electrolyte interphase stability of porous Si anodes enabled by silicon nitride nanocoating for high-performance Li-ion batteries显示文摘Silicon (Si) is a promising anode material for next-generation high-energy lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) due to its high capacity. However, the large volumetric expansion, poor ion conductivity and unstable solid electrolyte interface (SEI) lead to rapid capacity fading and low rate performance.Herein,we report Si nitride (SiN) comprising stoichiometric Si_(3)N_(4) and Li-active anazotic SiN_(x) coated porous Si (p-Si@SiN)for high-performance anodes in LIBs.The ant-nest-like porous Si consisting of 3D interconnected Si nanoligaments and bicontinuous nanopores prevents pulverization and accommodates volume expansion during cycling. The Si_(3)N_(4) offers mechanically protective coating to endow highly structural integrity and inhibit superfluous formation of SEI.The fast ion conducting Li_(3)N generated in situ from lithiation of active SiN_(x) facilitates Li ion transport.Consequently, the p-Si@SiN anode has appealing electrochemical properties such as a high capacity of 2180 mAh g^(-1)at 0.5 A g^(-1) with 84%capacity retention after 200cycles and excellent rate capacity with discharge capacity of 721 mAh g^(-1) after 500 cycles at 5.0 A g^(-1).This work provides insights into the rational design of active/inactive nanocoating on Si-based anode materials for fast-charging and highly stable LIBs. | Shixiong Mei Siguang Guo Ben Xiang Jiaguo Deng Jijiang Fu Xuming Zhang Yang Zheng Biao Gao Paul K Chu Kaifu Huo | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,6: | 2
The position of tree shrews in the mammalian tree:Comparing multi-gene analyses with phylogenomic results leaves monophyly of Euarchonta doubtful显示文摘The well-accepted Euarchonta grandorder is a pruned version of Archonta nested within the Euarchontoglires(or Supraprimates)clade. At present,it includes tree shrews(Scandentia),flying lemurs(Dermoptera)and primates(Primates). Here,a phylogenomic dataset containing 1912 exons from 22 representative mammals was compiled to investigate the phylogenetic relationships within this group.Phylogenetic analyses and hypothesis testing suggested that tree shrews can be classified as a sister group to Primates or to Glires or even as a basal clade within Euarchontoglires.Further analyses of both modified and original previously published datasets found that the phylogenetic position of tree shrews is unstable. We also found that two of three exonic indels reported as synapomorphies of Euarchonta in a previous study do not unambiguously support the monophyly of such a clade. Therefore, the monophyly of both Euarchonta and Sundatheria(Dermoptera+Scandentia)are suspect.Molecular dating and divergence rate analyses suggested that the ancestor of Euarchontoglires experienced a rapid divergence, which may cause the unresolved position of tree shrews even using the whole genomic data. | Xuming ZHOU Fengming SUN Shixia XU Guang YANG Ming LI | 2015 | Integrative Zoology2015,10,2: | 2
Characterization and Proteomic Analysis of Novel Rice Lesion Mimic Mutant with Enhanced Disease Resistance显示文摘Lesion mmic mutants(LMMs)are plants that spontaneously form lesions without pathogeninfection or external stimulus and exhibit resistance to pathogens. Here,a rice LMM was created by ethylmethane sulfonate mutagenesis, named as hpil(hydrogen peroxide induced lesion).Diaminobenzidineand trypan blue staining showed that large amounts of H_(2)O_(2) were produced and cell death was occurredat and around the parts of lesion mimic in the rice leaves. The phenotype of hpil is controlled by a singlerecessive gene, localized at a 2 Mb interval on chromosome 2.The data suggested that hpil is a novelLMM with enhanced bacterial and fungal disease resistance, and multiple pathogenesis-related proteins(PRs)were up-regulated.The proteomes of leaves at three positions(different degrees of lesion mimicseverity)were characterized in hpil compared with its wild type plant.Differentially expressed proteinswere detected by two dimensional difference gel electrophoresis and 274 proteins were identified byMALDITOF/TOFTM.These proteins were related to metabolic process, cellular process and response tostimulus, with mostly down-regulated in hpil leaves. Many of these proteins were related to the Calvincycle, photosynthetic electron transport chain,glycolysis/gluconeogenesis and phosphonates pathways. Some resistance-related proteins including 14-3-3 proteins,OsPR10 and antioxidases such asperoxidase, superoxide dismutase and ascorbate peroxidase were up-regulated in leaves with lesionmimic. These results provide the foundation for cloning of the target gene and shed light on themechanism involved in autaimmunity of rice. | Yang Yong Lin Qiujun Chen Xinyu Liang Weifang Fu Yuwen Xu Zhengjin Wu Yuanhua Wang Xuming Zhou Jie Yu Chulang Yan Chengqi Mei Qiong Chen Jianping | 2021 | Rice science2021,28,5: | 2
