| 2 | Mouse Karyotype Obtained by Combining DAPI Staining with Image Analysis显示文摘In this study, mitotic metaphase chromosomes in mouse were identified by a new chromosome fluorescence banding technique combining DAPI staining with image analysis. Clear 4’, 6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI) multiple bands like G-bands could be produced in mouse. The MetaMorph software was then used to generate linescans of pixel intensity for the banded chromosomes from short arm to long arm. These linescans were sufficient not only to identify each individual chromosome but also analyze the physical sites of bands in chromosome. Based on the results, the clear and accurate karyotype of mouse metaphase chromosomes was established. | 5 | Adaptive watermark generation mechanism based on time series prediction for stream processing显示文摘The data stream processing framework processes the stream data based on event-time to ensure that the request can be responded to in real-time.In reality,streaming data usually arrives out-of-order due to factors such as network delay.The data stream processing framework commonly adopts the watermark mechanism to address the data disorderedness.Watermark is a special kind of data inserted into the data stream with a timestamp,which helps the framework to decide whether the data received is late and thus be discarded.Traditional watermark generation strategies are periodic;they cannot dynamically adjust the watermark distribution to balance the responsiveness and accuracy.This paper proposes an adaptive watermark generation mechanism based on the time series prediction model to address the above limitation.This mechanism dynamically adjusts the frequency and timing of watermark distribution using the disordered data ratio and other lateness properties of the data stream to improve the system responsiveness while ensuring acceptable result accuracy.We implement the proposed mechanism on top of Flink and evaluate it with realworld datasets.The experiment results show that our mechanism is superior to the existing watermark distribution strategies in terms of both system responsiveness and result accuracy. | Yang SONG Yunchun LI Hailong YANG Jun XU Zerong LUAN Wei LI | 2021 | Frontiers of Computer Science2021,15,6: | 0 |
| 6 | The role of bacteria and its derived biomaterials in cancer radiotherapy显示文摘Bacteria-mediated anti-tumor therapy has received widespread attention due to its natural tumor-targeting ability and specific immune-activation characteristics.It has made significant progress in breaking the limitations of monotherapy and effectively eradicating tumors,especially when combined with traditional therapy,such as radiotherapy.According to their different biological characteristics,bacteria and their derivatives can not only improve the sensitivity of tumor radiotherapy but also protect normal tissues.Moreover,genetically engineered bacteria and bacteria-based biomaterials have further expanded the scope of their applications in radiotherapy.In this review,we have summarized relevant researches on the application of bacteria and its derivatives in radiotherapy in recent years,expounding that the bacteria,bacterial derivatives and bacteria-based biomaterials can not only directly enhance radiotherapy but also improve the anti-tumor effect by improving the tumor microenvironment(TME)and immune effects.Furthermore,some probiotics can also protect normal tissues and organs such as intestines from radiation via anti-inflammatory,anti-oxidation and apoptosis inhibition.In conclusion,the prospect of bacteria in radiotherapy will be very extensive,but its biological safety and mechanism need to be further evaluated and studied. | Yu Zhang Ruizhe Huang Yunchun Jiang Wenhao Shen Hailong Pei Guanglin Wang Pei Pei Kai Yang | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,10: | 0 |
| 7 | Protective effect of alpha-synuclein knockdown on methamphetamine-induced neurotoxicity in dopaminergic neurons显示文摘The over-expression of α-synuclein is a major factor in the death of dopaminergic neurons in a methamphetamine-induced model of Parkinson's disease. In the present study, α-synuclein knockdown rats were created by injecting α-synuclein-shRNA lentivirus stereotaxically into the right striatum of experimental rats. At 2 weeks post-injection, the rats were injected intraper-itoneally with methamphetamine to establish the model of Parkinson's disease. Expression of α-synuclein mRNA and protein in the right striatum of the injected rats was significantly down-regulated. Food intake and body weight were greater in α-synuclein knockdown rats, and water intake and stereotyped behavior score were lower than in model rats. Striatal dopamine and tyrosine hydroxylase levels were significantly elevated in α-synuclein knockdown rats. Moreover, superoxide dismutase activity was greater in α-synuclein knockdown rat striatum, but the levels of reactive oxygen species, malondialdehyde, nitric oxide synthase and nitrogen monoxide were lower compared with model rats. We also found that α-synuclein knockdown inhibited metham-phetamine-induced neuronal apoptosis.
