Hydroxyapatite-modified micro/nanostructured titania surfaces with different crystalline phases for osteoblast regulation显示文摘Surface structures and physicochemical properties critically influence osseointegration of titanium(Ti)implants.Previous studies have shown that the surface with both micro-and nanoscale roughness may provide multiple features comparable to cell dimensions and thus efficiently regulate cell-material interaction. However, less attention has been made to further optimize the physicochemical properties(e.g.,crystalline phase)and to further improve the bioactivity of micro/nanostructured surfaces.Herein,micro/nanostructured titania surfaces with different crystalline phases(amorphous, anatase and anatase/rutile)were prepared and hydroxyapatite(HA)nanorods were deposited onto the as-prepared surfaces by a spin-assisted layer-by-layer assembly method without greatly altering the initial multi-scale morphology and wettability. The effects of crystalline phase, chemical composition and wettability on osteoblast response were investigated. It is noted that all the micro/nanostructured surfaces with/without HA modification presented superamphiphilic. The activities of MC3T3-E1 cells suggested that the proliferation trend on the micro/nanostructured surfaces was greatly influenced by different crystalline phases, and the highest proliferation rate was obtained on the anatase/rutile surface, followed by the anatase;but the cell differentiation and extracellular matrix mineralization were almost the same among them. After ultrathin HA modification on the micro/nanostructured surfaces with different crystalline phases,it exhibited similar proliferation trend as the original surfaces;however, the cell differentiation and extracellular matrix mineralization were significantly improved. The results indicate that the introduction of ultrathin HA to the micro/nanostructured surfaces with optimized crystalline phase benefits cell proliferation, differentiation and maturation, which suggests a favorable biomimetic microenvironment and provides the potential for enhanced implant osseointegration in vivo.Pinliang Jiang Yanmei Zhang Ren Hu Xiankuan Wang Yuekun Lai Gang Rui Changjian Lin 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,4:2
Advanced surface engineering of titanium materials for biomedical applications:From static modification to dynamic responsive regulation显示文摘Titanium(Ti)and its alloys have been widely used as orthopedic implants, because of their favorable mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and biocompatibility.Despite their significant success in various clinical applications, the probability of failure, degradation and revision is undesirably high, especially for the patients with low bone density, insufficient quantity of bone or osteoporosis, which renders the studies on surface modification of Ti still active to further improve clinical results. It is discerned that surface physicochemical properties directly influence and even control the dynamic interaction that subsequently determines the success or rejection of orthopedic implants. Therefore,it is crucial to endow bulk materials with specific surface properties of high bioactivity that can be performed by surface modification to realize the osseointegration. This article first reviews surface characteristics of Ti materials and various conventional surface modification techniques involving mechanical, physical and chemical treatments based on the formation mechanism of the modified coatings.Such conventional methods are able to improve bioactivity of Ti implants, but the surfaces with static state cannot respond to the dynamic biological cascades from the living cells and tissues.Hence, beyond traditional static design, dynamic responsive avenues are then emerging. The dynamic stimuli sources for surface functionalization can originate from environmental triggers or physiological triggers. In short, this review surveys recent developments in the surface engineering of Ti materials, with a specific emphasis on advances in static to dynamic functionality, which provides perspectives for improving bioactivity and biocompatibility of Ti implants.Pinliang Jiang Yanmei Zhang Ren Hu Bin Shi Lihai Zhang Qiaoling Huang Yun Yang Peifu Tang Changjian Lin 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,9:2
Enhanced growth of crystalline-amorphous core-shell silicon nanowires by catalytic thermal CVD using in situ generated tin catalyst显示文摘In this work,we prepared silicon nanowires(Si NWs) on both fluorine-doped SnO 2(FTO) coated glass substrate and common glass substrate by catalytic thermal chemical vapor deposition(CVD) using indium film as the catalyst. It is confirmed that indium can catalyze the growth of Si NWs.More importantly,we found that tin generated in situ from the reduction of SnO 2 by indium can act as catalyst, which greatly enhances the growth of Si NWs on FTO substrate. The obtained Si NWs have a uniform crystalline-amorphous core-shell structure that is formed via vapor-liquid-solid and vapor-solid growth of silicon sequentially. This work provides a strategy to prepare Si NWs in high yield by catalytic thermal CVD using the low melting point metal catalysts.CHENG ShiMin REN Tong YING PinLiang YU Rui ZHANG WenHua ZHANG Jian LI Can 2012Science China Chemistry2012,55,12:1
Cell osteogenic bioactivity mediated precisely by varying scaled micro-pits on ordered micro/nano hierarchical structures of titanium显示文摘Hierarchical surface structures with micro–nano scale play a crucial role in regulation of cell proliferation and osteogenic differentiation. It has been proven that cells are extremely sensitive to the nanoscaled structure and show multifarious phenotypes.Though a vital function of microstructure on osseointegration has been confirmed, the cell performances response to different microscaled structure is needed to be further dissected and in depth understood. In this work, the ordered micro–nano hierarchical structures with varying micro-scaled pits were precisely fabricated on titanium successfully by the combination of electrochemical, chemical etching and anodization as well.In vitro systematical assessments indicated that the micro–nano multilevel structures on titanium exhibited excellent cells adhesion and spreading ability,as well as steerable proliferation and osteogenic differentiation behaviors. It is shown that smaller micro-pits and lower roughness of the hierarchical structures enabled faster cell propagation.Despite cell growth was delayed on micro–nano titanium with relatively larger cell-match-size micro-pits and roughness,osteogenic-specific genes were significantly elevated.Furthermore, the alkaline phosphatase activity, collagen secretion and extracellular matrix mineralization of MC3T3-E1 on multiscaled titanium were suppressed by a large margin after adding IWP-2(an inhibitor of Wnt/b-catenin signal pathway),indicating this pathway played a crucial part in cell osteogenic differentiation modulated by micro–nano structures.Yanmei Zhang Xiankuan Wang Yaxian Li Jianhe Liang Pinliang Jiang Qiaoling Huang Yun Yang Hongping Duan Xiang Dong Gang Rui Changjian Lin 2022Regenerative Biomaterials2022,9,1:1
Analysis of Water Quality and Eutrophication Status of Artificial Lakes on Campus:A Case Study in Tibet University显示文摘In this paper, the artificial lake on the campus of Tibet University was taken as the research object.By detecting the water quality of the lake, the standard index method and comprehensive pollution index method were used to understand the water quality characteristics, pollution status, and main pollutants of the Siyuan Lake.On this basis, the comprehensive nutritional status index method was used to evaluate the eutrophication status of the Siyuan Lake. The results showed that the overall water quality of the artificial lake was good, showing as still clean, with TN and TP being the main pollution factors of the artificial lake. The main nutritional indicators were TN,TP,and transparency, with a comprehensive nutritional level of middle eutropher.Based on the environmental characteristics of the artificial lake area on the campus of Tibet University, reasonable treatment measures have been proposed. It hoped to prevent and improve the water environment through these measures, and provide reference for the protection and restoration of campus landscape water body.Yaodi LIU Pinliang LIU Meiling REN Xiaohan ZHANG Peng ZHOU 2023Meteorological and Environmental Research2023,14,4:0
Laser Direct Driven Quasi-isentropic Compression Loading on “Heaven-Ⅰ” Laser Facility显示文摘Quasi-isentropic compression is a continuous and slow loading process, with the characteristics of low temperature rise and low entropy increase. It has been widely used in ICF,EOS,earth and astrophysics, material mechanics and other fields.Based on long-pulse laser facility“Heaven-Ⅰ”,quasi-isentropic compression experiments were carried out by directly irradiating aluminum target without pulse shaping.TIAN Baoxian WANG Zhao LI Jing GAO Zhixing HU Fengming ZHANG Pinliang 2018中国原子能科学研究院年报2018,,1:0
低轨大规模星座对空间碎片环境的影响及其应对措施显示文摘Large constellations have developed rapidly in recent years because of their unique advantages, but they will inevitably have a major negative impact on the space debris environment, leading to its deterioration. The key to mitigate the impact is the success rate and duration of the post-mission disposal(PMD) process. Aiming at solving this problem, this paper further studies the impact of large constellations on other space assets under different PMD strategies through simulation, and proposes corresponding strategies and suggestions for mitigation.According to One Web’s large constellation launch plan, the dangerous intersection of the large constellation with existing space assets at different stages of the constellations life cycle is calculated by simulation. Based on this, the influence of the large constellation operation on existing space assets at different times and strategies of PMD is analyzed. The conclusion shows that in the PMD stage, large constellations have the greatest impact on existing space assets;the PMD duration and number of satellites performing PMD at the same time are key factors to the degree of negative impact. The faster the PMD is, the less threat it poses to other spacecraft. More results and conclusions are still being analyzed.CHEN Chuan YANG Wulin GONG Zizheng ZHANG Pinliang LI Ming 2020Aerospace China2020,21,2:0
Building segmentation and modeling from airborne LiDAR data显示文摘Due to the high accuracy and fast acquisition speed offered by airborne Light Detection and Ranging(LiDAR)technology, airborne LiDAR point clouds have been widely used in three-dimensional building model reconstruction. This paper presents a novel approach to segment building roofs from point clouds using a Gaussian mixture model in which buildings are represented by a mixture of Gaussians(MoG).The Expectation-Maximization(EM)algorithm with the minimum description length(MDL)principle is employed to obtain the optimal parameters of the MoG model for separating building roofs. To separate complete planar building roofs, coplanar Gaussian components are merged according to their distances to the corresponding planes. In addition, shape analysis is utilized to remove nonplanar objects caused by trees and irregular artifacts.Building models are obtained by combining segmented planar roofs, topological relationships, and regularized building boundaries.Roof intersection segments and points are derived by the segmentation results, and a rasterbased regularization method is employed to obtain geometrically correct and regular building models.Experimental results suggest that the segmentation method is able to separate building roofs with high accuracy while maintaining correct topological relationships among roofs.Yong Xiao Cheng Wang Jing Li Wuming Zhang Xiaohuan Xi Changlin Wang Pinliang Dong 2015International Journal of Digital Earth2015,8,9:0
