1Temperature-gradient induced microstructure evolution in heat-affected zone of electron beam welded Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy显示文摘The heat-affected zone(HAZ) of electron beam welded(EBW) joint normally undergoes a unique heat-treating process consisting of rapid temperature rising and dropping stages, resulting in temperature-gradient in HAZ as a function of the distance to fusion zone(FZ). In the current work,microstructure, elements distribution and crystallographic orientation of three parts(near base material(BM) zone, mid-HAZ and near-FZ) in the HAZ of Ti-6Al-4V alloy were systematically investigated. The microstructure observation revealed that the microstructural variation from near-BM to near-FZ included the reduction of primary α(αp) grains, the increase of transformed β structure(βt) and the formation of various α structures. The rim-α, dendritic α and abnormal secondary α(αs) colonies formed in the mid-HAZ, while the 'ghost' structures grew in the near-FZ respectively. The electron probe microanalyzer(EPMA) and electron back-scattered diffraction(EBSD) technologies were employed to evaluate the elements diffusion and texture evolution during the unique thermal process of welding. The formation of the various α structures in the HAZ were discussed based on the EPMA and EBSD results. 2Entrapping multifunctional dendritic nanoparticles into a hydrogel for local therapeutic delivery and synergetic immunochemotherapy显示文摘Developing multifunctional nanoparticles to support new therapy models is apromising and challenging task to address the current dilemma on antitumortreatment. Herein, we incorporated multifunctional dendritic nanoparticles intoa poly(D,L-lactide-co-glycolide)-poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(D,Lqactide-co-glycolide)(PLGA-PEG-PLGA) triblock copolymers thermosensitive injectable hydrogelmatrix to construct a localized drug delivery system for combining chemotherapyand immunotherapy. The multifunctional dendritic nanoparticles were designedwith following expectations: i, Dendritic scaffolds provide a hydrophobic interiorto load the anticancer drug, doxorubicin (DOX), for chemotherapy; and ii,dendritic scaffolds are used to build arginine-rich molecules to provide theinducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) substrate, L-Arg, to M1 macrophages,which can produce the cytotoxic substance nitric oxide (NO) and subsequentlyinduce tumor cell destruction through immunotherapy. It is noteworthy that thedendritic nanoparticles-in-hydrogel delivery system is able to gel at physiologicaltemperature and serves as a warehouse for the sustained release of the drug.Ultimately, this system showed great efficacy in treating 4T1 cells-xenograftedBALB/C mice (86.62% tumor growth inhibition). 3Different role of second phase in the micro-galvanic corrosion of WE43 Mg alloy in NaCl and Na_(2)SO_(4) solution显示文摘Effect of the second phase in the micro-galvanic corrosion of a commercial Mg alloy containing rare earth elements, cast WE43 alloy,was investigated in 0.6 M NaCl solution and 0.6 M Na_(2)SO_(4)solution by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) observations, scanning Kelvin probe force microscopy(SKPFM) analysis, hydrogen evolution, weight loss measurement, and electrochemical techniques. It is confirmed that the second phase of cast WE43 alloy is more active than Mg matrix and exhibits an anodic role in the micro-galvanic corrosion with α-Mg matrix as cathode and dissolves preferentially in Na_(2)SO_(4)solution, in contrast to the situation in NaCl solution. 4Transformation of Laves phases and its effect on the mechanical properties of TIG welded Mg-Al-Ca-Mn alloys显示文摘The effects of Al content and Ca/Al mass ratio on the microstructure and mechanical properties of tungsten inert gas(TIG)welded Mg-2Ca-x Al-0.5Mn(x=0,1,5)alloy joints were studied in present work.Results showed that increasing Al content was effective in reducing the dendrite spacing at the fusion zone(FZ)edge.The Laves phases in the FZ and the heat-affected zone(HAZ)can be changed from Mg_(2)Ca to(Mg,Al)_(2)Ca with the decrease of Ca/Al ratio,and the(Mg,Al)_(2)Ca could be further transformed to Al_(2)Ca under welding thermal cycle.Furthermore,dynamic dissolution and precipitation of Laves phases and Al_(8)Mn_(5)phases occurred in the HAZ,resulting in a gradient microstructure and hardness peak in this area.The tensile properties of the joints were significantly improved with the increase of Al content,which was mainly due to the modification of Laves phases.Sensen Chai Shiyu Zhong Qingshan Yang Daliang Yu Qingwei Dai Hehe Zhang Limeng Yin Gang Wang Zongxiang Yao 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,25:2

8SCGN deficiency is a risk factor for autism spectrum disorder显示文摘Autism spectrum disorder(ASD)affects 1-2%of all children and poses a great social and economic challenge for the globe.As a highly heterogeneous neurodevelopmental disorder,the development of its treatment is extremely challenging.Multiple pathways have been linked to the pathogenesis of ASD,including signaling involved in synaptic function,oxytocinergic activities,immune homeostasis,chromatin modifications,and mitochondrial functions.Here,we identify secretagogin(SCGN),a regulator of synaptic transmission,as a new risk gene for ASD.Two heterozygous loss-of-function mutations in SCGN are presented in ASD probands.Deletion of Scgn in zebrafish or mice leads to autism-like behaviors and impairs brain development.Mechanistically,Scgn deficiency disrupts the oxytocin signaling and abnormally activates inflammation in both animal models.Both ASD probands carrying Scgn mutations also show reduced oxytocin levels.Importantly,we demonstrate that the administration of oxytocin and anti-inflammatory drugs can attenuate ASD-associated defects caused by SCGN deficiency.Altogether,we identify a convergence between a potential autism genetic risk factor SCGN,and the pathological deregulation in oxytocinergic signaling and immune responses,providing potential treatment for ASD patients suffering from SCGN deficiency.Our study also indicates that it is critical to identify and stratify ASD patient populations based on their disease mechanisms,which could greatly enhance therapeutic success.Zhe Liu Shuai Tan Lianyu Zhou Li Chen Mingfeng Liu Wang Wang Yingying Tang Qin Yang Sensen Chi Peiyan Jiang Yue Zhang Yonghua Cui Junhong Qin Xiao Hu Shenglong Li Qi Liu Lu Chen Song Li Ezra Burstein Wei Li Xiaohu Zhang Xianming Mo Da Jia 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,2:0

10Shallow water bathymetry based on a back propagation neural network and ensemble learning using multispectral satellite imagery显示文摘The back propagation(BP)neural network method is widely used in bathymetry based on multispectral satellite imagery.However,the classical BP neural network method faces a potential problem because it easily falls into a local minimum,leading to model training failure.This study confirmed that the local minimum problem of the BP neural network method exists in the bathymetry field and cannot be ignored.Furthermore,to solve the local minimum problem of the BP neural network method,a bathymetry method based on a BP neural network and ensemble learning(BPEL)is proposed.First,the remote sensing imagery and training sample were used as input datasets,and the BP method was used as the base learner to produce multiple water depth inversion results.Then,a new ensemble strategy,namely the minimum outlying degree method,was proposed and used to integrate the water depth inversion results.Finally,an ensemble bathymetric map was acquired.Anda Reef,northeastern Jiuzhang Atoll,and Pingtan coastal zone were selected as test cases to validate the proposed method.Compared with the BP neural network method,the root-mean-square error and the average relative error of the BPEL method can reduce by 0.65–2.84 m and 16%–46%in the three test cases at most.The results showed that the proposed BPEL method could solve the local minimum problem of the BP neural network method and obtain highly robust and accurate bathymetric maps.Sensen Chu Liang Cheng Jian Cheng Xuedong Zhang Jie Zhang Jiabing Chen Jinming Liu 2023Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,5:0

12Recent progress and challenges in the treatment of spinal cord injury显示文摘Spinal cord injury(SCI)disrupts the structural and functional connectivity between the higher center and the spinal cord,resulting in severe motor,sensory,and autonomic dysfunction with a variety of complications.The pathophysiology of sci is complicated and multifaceted,and thus individual treatments acting on a specific aspect or process are inadequate to elicit neuronal regeneration and functional recovery after ScI.Combinatory strategies targeting multiple aspects of scI pathology have achieved greater beneficial effects than individuai therapy alone.Although many problems and challenges remain,the encouraging outcomes that have been achieved in preclinical models offer a promising foothold for the development of novel clinical strategies to treat scl.In this review,we characterize the mechanisms underlying axon regeneration of adult neurons and summarize recent advances in facilitating functional recovery following scI at both the acute and chronic stages.In addition,we analyze the current status,remaining problems,and realistic challenges towards clinical translation.Finally,we consider the future of scI treatment and provide insights into how to narrow the translational gap that currently exists between preclinical studies and clinical practice.Going forward,clinical trials should emphasize multidisciplinary conversation and cooperation to identify optimal combinatorial approaches to maximize therapeuticbenefitinhumanswithscl.Ting Tian Sensen Zhang Maojun Yang 2023Protein & Cell2023,14,9:0
13Complementary multicolor electrochromic devices with excellent stability based on porous tin oxide nanosheet scaffold显示文摘Electrochromic devices(ECDs)have been extensively investigated as promising candidates in broad cutting-edge applications,such as smart windows,electronic labels,adaptive camouflage,etc.However,they have suffered from either inadequate color variations or poor cycling stability for a long time.Herein,we developed a general strategy to boost the cyclic stability and enrich the color variations of ECDs by scrupulous design of the composition and nanostructure of electrodes,in which porous tin oxide(SnO_(2))nanosheets serve as the scaffold and typical metal oxides or conducting polymers as the active electrochromic materials.Various electrochromic composite materials,including polyaniline(PANI)@SnO_(2),V2O5@SnO_(2),and WO_(3)@SnO_(2) heterostructured nanoarrays were prepared by the facile wet-chemical method.These composite electrodes exhibit remarkable electrochromic performances,e.g.,superior cycling stability(more than 2000 cycles),rich color variations(more than 5 colors for PANI@SnO_(2)),and enlarged optical modulation.These excellent performances account for the heterogenous porous nanoarrays,which not only facilitate the intercalation/extraction of ions but also relieve the stress generated during the electrochemical process.In addition,diverse prototypes of complementary multicolor ECD with excellent cycling stability(over thousands of cycles)and rich color variations(8 colors)were realized for the first time.We believe that our work put forward a general strategy for developing high-quality multicolor complementary electrochromic devices.Chenchen Bian Jinhui Wang Huanhuan Liu Yin Yan Ping Zhang Weilong Yang Sensen Jia Xiaodan Guo Guofa Cai 2024Nano Research2024,17,4:0
14Microstructures,mechanical properties and degradability of Mg-2Gd-0.5(Cu/Ni)alloys:A comparison study显示文摘Low alloying Mg-2 Gd-0.5(Cu/Ni)alloys for sealing tools in the oil and gas industry were prepared.The differences in the effects of minor Cu and Ni additions on microstructures and properties of the Mg-2 Gd alloy were compared.The results showed that adding Ni was more effective than adding Cu in refining grain sizes,strengthening the basal fiber texture,and promoting the formation of LPSO phases,resulting in higher strength.The tensile yield strength/elongation of the Mg-2 Gd-0.5 Cu alloy,Mg-2 Gd-0.25 Cu-0.25 Ni alloy,and Mg-2 Gd-0.5 Ni alloy was 146 MPa/23.7%,175 MPa/23.1%,and 248 MPa/18.2%,respectively.The decreased elongation was attributed to the basal fiber texture and the presence of coarse LPSO phases.In terms of the corrosion rate in 3.5 wt.%NaCl solution,it rose from 112 mm y^(-1)for the Mg-2 Gd-0.5 Cu alloy to 269 mm y^(-1)for the Mg-2 Gd-0.25 Cu-0.25 Ni alloy and 490 mm y^(-1)for the Mg-2 Gd-0.5 Ni alloy,indicating that the addition of Ni instead of Cu showed a more significant promoting effect on the degradability of Mg alloys,which was related to more refined grains,the stronger basal fiber texture,and a larger amount of LPSO phases.Shiyu Zhong Dingfei Zhang Yongqin Wang Sensen Chai Jingkai Feng Yulun Luo Jianrong Hua Qimin Dai Guangshan Hu Junyao Xu Bin Jiang Fusheng Pan 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,33:0

16Petrogenesis and Tectonic Implications of the Paleoproterozoic A-Type Granites in the Xiong’ershan Area along the Southern Margin of the North China Craton显示文摘Paleoproterozoic A-type granites are widely distributed in the southern margin of the North China Craton(SNCC),providing important information for understanding the Paleoproterozoic tectonic regimes in this area.This paper reports newly obtained whole-rock compositions and zircon U-Pb ages for the Tieluping syenogranite porphyry(TLP)and Huoshenmiao alkali granite porphyry(HSM)in the SNCC.Zircons from the TLP and HSM have U-Pb ages of 1805±12 and 1792±14 Ma,respectively.These ages are taken to date the emplacement of these intrusions.They had high total alkali contents(K_(2)O+Na_(2)O>7.13 wt.%),with high 10000×Ga/Al ratios(3.06–3.41)and Zr+Y+Nb+Ce values(709 ppm–910 ppm)as well as high zircon saturation temperatures(864–970℃),indicative of A-type granite affinities.High Y/Nb(1.75–3.32),Ce/Nb(7.72–9.72),and Yb/Ta(2.89–5.60)ratios suggested that TLP and HSM belonged to the A2-type granite.The negative whole rockε_(Nd)(t)values(−8.4 to−6.6)and negative zirconε_(Hf)(t)values(−15.9 to−6.3)confirmed that TLP and HSM were likely generated by the partial melting of an ancient continental crust.TheεHf(t)(−7.4 to+4.0)values of inherited zircons in the TLP suggested that they were derived from the partial melting of Archean basement rocks.Considering the geochemical similarity of the 1.80 Ga A-type granitoids in the SNCC,we propose that the TLP and HSM were formed in a post-collisional regime that was likely associated with the break-off of the Paleoproterozoic subducted slab.Upwelling of the asthenosphere provided huge heat to generate the regional 1.80 Ga A-type granite in the SNCC.Jinhong Xu Yuping Jiang Shuli Hu Zhengwei Zhang Chengquan Wu Chaofei Zheng Xiyao Li Ziru Jin Sensen Zhang Yatao Zhou 2024Journal of Earth Science2024,35,2:0
