1A high-strength,ductile Al-0.35Sc-0.2Zr alloy with good electrical conductivity strengthened by coherent nanosized-precipitates显示文摘Ductility and electrical conductivity of metallic materials are inversely correlated with their strength,resulting in a difficulty of optimizing all three simultaneously. We design an Al-Sc-Zr-based alloy using semisolid extrusion to yield a good trade-off between strength and ductility along with excellent electrical conductivity. The Al-0.35Sc-0.2Zr wire with a diameter of 3 mm exhibited the best combined properties: a tensile strength of 210 ± 2 MPa, elongation of 7.6% ± 0.5%, and an electrical conductivity of 34.9 ± 0.05 MS/m. The average particle size of nanosized Al_3(Sc, Zr) precipitates increased from 6.5 ± 0.5 nm to 25.0 ± 0.5 nm as the aging time increased from 1 h to 96 h at 380 °C, accompanied by the corresponding volume fraction variation from(6.2 ± 0.1) × 10^(-4) to(3.7 ± 0.1) × 10^(-3). As proved by transmission electron microscopy observation, the high strength originates from the effective blockage of dislocation motion by numerous nanosized Al_3(Sc, Zr) precipitates whilst both electrical conductivity and ductility remain at a high level due to the coherent precipitates possessing an extremely low electrical resistivity.Renguo Guan Yongfeng Shen Zhanyong Zhao Xiang Wang 2017Journal of Materials Science & Technology2017,33,3:9
2Effect of high magnetic field on the crystallization of Nd_2Fe_(14)B/α-Fe nanocomposite magnets显示文摘Nd8.1Dy0.9Fe76.95Co8.55B5.5 nanocomposite magnets annealed with and without a 10 T magnetic field were inves-tigated in this article. The ribbons with coexisting amorphous and crystalline phases were selected to do this study. The re-sults of M?ssbauer spectroscopy revealed that the content of α-Fe increased when annealed in high strength magnetic field. The size of the grains also increased considerably after the application of magnetic annealing. 5Tribological Behavior of In Situ TiC/Graphene/Graphite/Ti6Al4V Matrix Composite Through Laser Cladding显示文摘The TiC/graphene/graphite/Ti6 Al4 V composite coating was prepared by laser cladding.The microstructure and tribological behavior of the coating were studied.The in situ reaction between graphene and Ti occurred,and feathery TiC was formed.The feathery TiC was homogeneously distributed betweenα’acicular martensites which was refined with the addition of graphene.Some graphene was transformed into allotrope graphite under the laser irradiation.The TiC hard particles and the self-lubrication of graphene/graphite improved the wear resistance of composite coating.The wear rate and friction coefficient of TiC/graphene/graphite/Ti6 Al4 V composite coating decreased with the increase in sliding speed,a mechanical mixing layer(MML)was formed on the wear surface of the composite coating under the frictional heat,which protected the substrate and reduced the contact.Because of the self-lubricating properties of graphene/graphite,interlayer sliding occurred easily,which also effectively reduced friction.The wear rate of TiC/graphene/graphite/Ti6 Al4 V composite coating increased with the increase in load,but the friction coefficient decreased.The plastic deformation of subsurface layer was more serious under high load,and a stable self-lubricating MML with a protective effect was formed between the wear interfaces,which reduced the friction coefficient.With the increase in load,the wear mechanism changed from abrasive and oxidation wear to delamination,fatigue and oxidation wear.Zhanyong Zhao Lizheng Zhang Peikang Bai Wenbo Du Shaowei Wang Xiangyan Xu Qingnan Dong Yuxin Li Bing Han 2021Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2021,34,10:5
6Investigation on nanocomposite magnets by three-dimensional atom probe显示文摘With the fast development in nano ma- terials, to obtain the detailed microstructure informa- tion, microscopes with much higher resolution than the conventional ones are required. A three-dimen- sional atom probe (3DAP), an instrument with near- atomic resolutions of about 0.06 and 0.2 nm in depth and transverse direction, respectively, has been em- ployed to map out the elemental distribution of some conductive materials within a nano-scale volume. This instrument is fit to analyze the elemental distri- bution in nano materials and nano precipitation in common materials. 3DAP is applied to investigate the microstructure of Nd2Fe14B/α?Fe nanocomposite magnets. 7Directed Motion of a Molecular Motor Based Qn the Four-State Model with Unequal Substeps显示文摘A periodic one-dimensional four-state hopping model is proposed. In the model, the substeps between arbitrary adjacent states are unequal, and an explicit solution of the master equation is first obtained for the probability distribution as a function of the time and position for any initial distribution with all the transients included. Next, the transient behaviors in the initial period of time and the characteristic time to reach the steady state for the molecular motor are discussed. 8Single-cell RNA sequencing of meiocytes and microspores reveals the involvement of the Rf4 gene in redox homeostasis of CMS-C maize显示文摘Normal microsporogenesis is determined by both nuclear and mitochondrial genes. In maize C-type cytoplasmic male sterility, it is unclear how the development of meiocytes and microspores is affected by the mitochondrial sterility gene and the nuclear restorer gene. In this study, we sequenced the transcriptomes of single meiocytes(tetrad stage) and early mononucleate microspores from sterile and restorer lines. The numbers of expressed genes varied in individual cells and fewer than half of the expressed genes were common to the same cell types. Four comparisons revealed 3379 differentially expressed genes(DEGs), with 277 putatively associated with mitochondria, 226 encoding transcription factors,and 467 possibly targeted by RF4. KEGG analysis indicated that the DEGs in the two lines at the tetrad stage were involved predominantly in carbon metabolism and in amino acid biosynthesis and metabolism, whereas the DEGs during the transition from the tetrad stage to the early mononucleate stage were associated mostly with regulation of protein metabolism, fatty acid metabolism, and anatomical structure morphogenesis. 9Motion and Efficiency of a Two—State Model for a Single Molecular Motor显示文摘We discussed the directed motion and the energy conversion efficiency of a particle in two-state ratchet potentials with white noise. We studied the effective potential of multi-state. The two-state potential is equivalent to an effective potential that has a nonzero average slope on a large scale in general. The incline of the effective potential is crucial to the directed motion and the efficiency. We also discussed the relationship between the efficiency and the kinetic parameters such as the strength of the noise and the transition rates between the two states. 10Microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-14Li-1Al-0.3La alloys produced by two-pass extrusion显示文摘The microstructure of as-cast and extruded Mg-14 Li-1 Al-(0, 0.3) La alloys was examined with XRD,OM, SEM, and EDS. The mechanical properties of the extruded specimens with and without La were compared. The results show that La addition has an obvious effect on the microstructure of the as-cast LA141 alloy by reducing the average grain size from 600 to 220 μm. β-Li and LiMgAl_2 phases are observed in both alloys, and long-rod-shaped Al_2 La phase is also observed in the La containing alloy. After extrusion, Al_2 La phases are short-rod-shaped and distribute evenly in the alloy. 11Influence of zirconium addition on the microstructure and magnetic properties of nanocomposite Nd_(10.1)Fe_(78.2-x)Co_5Zr_xB_(6.7) permanent magnets显示文摘Nanocomposite Nd10.1Fe78.2?xCo5ZrxB6.7 (x = 0, 1.5, 2.5, 2.7, 3, 4) permanent magnets were prepared by melt-spun and annealing. The microstructure and magnetic properties of the permanent magnets were investigated. The re- sults reveal that the addition of Zr element significantly reduces the grain size and improves the thermal stability of the amorphous phase. A fine nanocomposite microstructure with an average grain size of about 35 nm can be developed at a wheel speed of 16 m·s?1 with the content of Zr up to 2.7 at.%. 12DynamicMechanical and Chemorheology Analysis for the Blended Epoxy System with Polyurethane Modified Resin显示文摘As the important matrix material,epoxy resin has been widely used in the composites for various fields.On account of the poor toughness of epoxy resin limiting their suitability for advanced applications,considerable interests have been conducted to modify the epoxy resin to meet the engineering requirements.In this study,the bio-based polyurethane(PU)modified resin was adopted to modify the pure bisphenol-A epoxy by blending method with various proportions.Aiming to illuminate the curing behavior,mechanical and thermal properties,the blended epoxy systems were characterized by viscosity-time analysis,dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA)at different frequencies and temperatures,mechanical tensile test,thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)and Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)spectroscopy.The results indicated that the introduction of PU modified epoxy was found to significantly inhibit the viscosity growth rates especially when the content of PU modified epoxy resin is higher than 60%.Notwithstanding the dynamic modulus and T_(g)reduced with the increment of PU modified epoxy,remarkable increment on the elongation at break was found and the flexibility was greatly promoted with the introduction of PU modified epoxy.The proportion of PU modified epoxy in the blends should be put balance considerations to obtain optimal mechanical properties.TGA results and FTIR spectrum demonstrated that the addition of PU modified epoxy did not change the thermal decomposition mechanism and chemical reaction mechanism,but the addition of PU modified epoxy inhibits the curing reaction of epoxy resin by measured and calculated the damping temperature domainT from 35.7℃ to 48.9℃.Xue Xin Yu Rong Linping Su Zhengmei Qiu Chenjun Yang Ming Liang Ping Ji Guoqiang Zhong Zhanyong Yao 2022Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,4:2

14Process Parameter Optimizing and Studies on Microstructure and Properties of AZ31 Alloy Prepared by Semisolid Rolling Process显示文摘A novel continuous semisolid rolling process for producing AZ31 alloy strip was developed. The process parameters were optimized, and microstructure and properties of AZ31 alloy prepared by the process were studied. The results reveal that primary grains of the strip become coarse, and the grain structure transforms from round shape to dendrite with the increment of casting temperature gradually. Eutectic phase fraction and primary grain size increase with the increment of roll speed. The primary grain size decreases firstly and then increases with the increment of the vibration frequency correspondingly. When the casting temperature is from 650℃ to 690℃, the roll speed is 0.069 m·s-1 , and the vibration frequency is about 80 Hz, AZ31 alloy strip with a cross section size of 4 mm×160 mm was prepared by the proposed process. 16Microstructure Formation Mechanism During a Novel Semisolid Rheo-rolling Process of AZ91 Magnesium Alloy显示文摘A novel semisolid rheo-rolling process of AZ91 alloy was proposed.The microstructure formation mechanism of AZ91 magnesium alloy during the process was studied.The results reveal that the eruptive nucleation and the heterogeneous nucleation exist.During the grain growth process,the grain breakage took place and transformed into fine spherical or rosette grains on the sloping plate gradually,the other grain growth style is direct globular growth.Due to the secondary crystallization of the remnant liquids in the roll gap,the microstructure of the strip becomes finer with the increment of the casting temperature from 650℃ to 690℃.But when the casting temperature reached 710℃,a part of the liquid alloy transformed into the eutectic phases,and the primary grains ripened to form coarse dendrites.In the casting temperature range from 650℃ to 690℃,AZ91 alloy strip with fine spherical or rosette grains was prepared by the proposed process.Zhanyong ZHAO Renguo GUAN Xiang WANG Chunming LIU 2013Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2013,26,4:2
17The chimeric gene atp6c confers cytoplasmic male sterility in maize by impairing the assembly of the mitochondrial ATP synthase complex显示文摘Cytoplasmic male sterility(CMS)is a powerful tool for the exploitation of hybrid heterosis and the study of signaling and interactions between the nucleus and the cytoplasm.C-type CMS(CMS-C)in maize has long been used in hybrid seed production,but the underlying sterility factor and its mechanism of action remain unclear.In this study,we demonstrate that the mitochondrial gene atp6c confers male sterility in CMS-C maize.The ATP6C protein shows stronger interactions with ATP8 and ATP9 than ATP6 during the assembly of F1F0-ATP synthase(F-type ATP synthase,ATPase),thereby reducing the quantity and activity of assem-bled F_(1)F_(o)-ATP synthase.By contrast,the quantity and activity of the F1'component are increased in CMS-C lines.Reduced F1F0-ATP synthase activity causes accumulation of excess protons in the inner membrane space of the mitochondria,triggering a burst of reactive oxygen species(ROS),premature programmed cell death of the tapetai cells,and pollen abortion.Collectively,our study identifies a chimeric mitochondrial gene(ATP6C)that causes CMS in maize and documents the contribution of ATP6C to F1F0-ATP synthase assembly,thereby providing novel insights into the molecular mechanisms of male sterility in plants.Huili Yang Yadong Xue Bing Li Yanan Lin Haochuan Li Zhanyong Guo Weihua Li Zhiyuan Fu Dong Ding Jihua Tang 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,5:2
18A new approach on seismic mortality estimations based on average population density显示文摘This study examines a new methodology to predict the final seismic mortality from earthquakes in China. Most studies established the association between mortality estimation and seismic intensity without considering the population density. In China, however, the data are not always available, especially when it comes to the very urgent relief situation in the disaster. And the population density varies greatly from region to region. This motivates the development of empirical models that use historical death data to provide the path to analyze the death tolls for earthquakes. The present paper employs the average population density to predict the final death tolls in earthquakes using a case-based reasoning model from realistic perspective. To validate the forecasting results,historical data from 18 large-scale earthquakes occurred in China are used to estimate the seismic morality of each case. And a typical earthquake case occurred in the northwest of Sichuan Province is employed to demonstrate the estimation of final death toll. The strength of this paper is that it provides scientific methods with overall forecast errors lower than 20 %, and opens the door for conducting final death forecasts with a qualitative and quantitative approach. 19Energy characteristics of urban buildings: Assessment by machine learning显示文摘Machine learning techniques have attracted more attention as advanced data analytics in building energy analysis.However,most of previous studies are only focused on the prediction capability of machine learning algorithms to provide reliable energy estimation in buildings.Machine learning also has great potentials to identify energy patterns for urban buildings except for model prediction.Therefore,this paper explores energy characteristic of London domestic properties using ten machine learning algorithms from three aspects:tuning process of learning model;variable importance;spatial analysis of model discrepancy.The results indicate that the combination of these three aspects can provide insights on energy patterns for urban buildings.The tuning process of these models indicates that gas use models should have more terms in comparison with electricity in London and the interaction terms should be considered in both gas and electricity models.The rankings of important variables are very different for gas and electricity prediction in London residential buildings,which suggests that gas and electricity use are affected by different physical and social factors.Moreover,the importance levels for these key variables are markedly different for gas and electricity consumption.There are much more important variables for electricity use in comparison with gas use for the importance levels over 40.The areas with larger model discrepancies can be determined using the local spatial analysis based on these machine learning models.These identified areas have significantly different energy patterns for gas and electricity use.More research is required to understand these unusual patterns of energy use in these areas.Wei Tian Chuanqi Zhu Yu Sun Zhanyong Li Baoquan Yin 2021Building Simulation2021,14,1:2
