| 1 | Experimental investigation of laser peening on TiAl alloy microstructure and properties显示文摘In order to study the effect of laser peening on microstructures and properties of Ti Al alloy, Ti Al alloy samples were treated by Nd:YAG laser system with the wavelength of 1064 nm,pulse-width of 18 ns, and pulse-energy of 0–10 J. Surface micro-hardness, roughness, and microstructural characteristics were tested with micro-hardness tester, roughness tester and scanning electron microscope. Residual stress and pole figures were tested with X-ray diffraction and its high-temperature stability was analyzed. The experimental results show that surface micro-hardness increases by up to 30%, roughness increases to 0.37 lm, compressive residual stress increases to 337 MPa, and local texture and typical lamellar microstructure are generated. Residual stress, micro-hardness, and(002) pole figures tests are conducted, compressive residual stress value drops from 337 MPa to 260 MPa, hardness value drops from 377 HV_(0.2) to 343 HV_(0.2), and the(002)poles shift back to the center slightly. | 2 | Increased mitochondrial fission drives the reprogramming of fatty acid metabolism in hepatocellular carcinoma cells through suppression of Sirtuin 1显示文摘Background:Mitochondria are dynamic organelles that constantly change their morphology through fission and fusion processes.Recently,abnormally increased mitochondrial fission has been observed in several types of can-cer.However,the functional roles of increased mitochondrial fission in lipid metabolism reprogramming in cancer cells remain unclear.This study aimed to explore the role of increased mitochondrial fission in lipid metabolism in hepa-tocellular carcinoma(HCC)cells.Methods:Lipid metabolism was determined by evaluating the changes in the expressions of core lipid metabolic enzymes and intracellular lipid content.The rate of fatty acid oxidation was evaluated by[PH]-labelled oleic acid.The mito-chondrial morphology in HCC cells was evaluated by fluorescent staining.The expression of protein was determined by real-time PCR,imnmunohistochemistry and Western blotting.Results:Activation of mitochondrial fission significantly promoted de novo fatty acid synthesis in HCC cells through upregulating the expression of lipogenic genes fatty acid synthase(FASN),acetyl-CoA carboxylasel(ACCI),and elonga-tion of very long chain fatty acid protein 6(ELOVL6),while suppressed fatty acid oxidation by downregulating carnitine palmitoyl transferase 1A(CPTIA)and acyl-CoA oxidase 1(ACOX1).Consistently,suppressed mitochondrial fission exhibited the opposite effects.Moreover,in vitro and in vivo studies revealed that mitochondrial fission-induced lipid metabolism reprogramming significantly promoted the proliferation and metastasis of HCC cells.Mechanistically,mito-chondrial fission increased the acetylation level of sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1(SREBPI)and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor coaC-tivator 1 alpha(PGC-1a)by suppressing nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD+)/Sirtuin 1(SIRTI)signaling.The elevated SREBP1 then upregulated the expression of FASN,ACC1 and ELOVL6 in HCC cells,while PGC-1c/PPARa sup-pressed the expression of CPTIA and ACOXL Conclusions:Increased mitochondrial fission plays a crucial role in the repro-gramming of lipid metabolism in HCC cells,which provides strong evidence for the use of this process as a drug target in the treatment of this malignancy. | Dan Wu Yi Yang Yiran Hou Zifeng Zhao Ning Liang Peng Yuan Tao Yang Jinliang Xing Jibin Li | 2022 | Cancer Communications2022,42,1: | 4 |
| 3 | Holocene Abrupt Climate Shifts and Mid-Holocene Drought Intervals Recorded in Barkol Lake of Northern Xinjiang of China显示文摘Study results in this paper have indicated that the Holocene climate in Xinjiang,Northwestern China has been alternating between wet and dry conditions,and was punctuated with a series of abrupt climate shifts.A sediment core taken from Barkol Lake in the northern Xinjiang of Northwest China was analyzed at 1cm interval for grain-size distribution.Abrupt climate shifts revealed by the grain-size proxy occurred at ca 1.4,3.0,4.3,5.6,8.0 cal kyr B.P.,which were well correlated to both the abrupt shifts recorded in the North Atlantic Ocean(NAO)and the Holocene sea surface temperature(SST)cooling events in the Arabian Ocean.The correlation indicated that the climatic changes in the extreme arid Northwest China were associated with the NAO,probably via the North Atlantic Oscillation-affected westerly winds.The strength and position of westerly winds probably modulated the Siberian-Mongolian high-pressure system(winter monsoon),and played an important role in climate change of Northwest China.Moreover,an evident drought interval during the middle Holocene was also revealed by grain-size proxy. | XUE Jibin ZHONG Wei ZHAO Yinjuan PENG Xiaoying | 2008 | Chinese Geographical Science2008,18,1: | 3 |
| 4 | Tool path planning based on conformal parameterization for meshes显示文摘The similarity property of conformal parameterization makes it able to locally preserve the shapes between a surface and its parameter domain, as opposed to common parameterization methods. A parametric tool path planning method is proposed in this paper through such parameterization of triangular meshes which is furthermore based on the geodesic on meshes.The parameterization has the properties of local similarity and free boundary which are exploited to simplify the formulas for computing path parameters, which play a fundamentally important role in tool path planning, and keep the path boundary-conformed and smooth. | 7 | Study and development of high peak power short pulse Nd:YAG laser for peening applications显示文摘Because short pulse Nd:YAG laser of nanosecond pulse-width and high peak power has a unique capability to improve the mechanical properties of metal parts,a study on the development of high peak power short pulse from Nd:YAG laser along with its peening application has been performed.The design scheme of laser and the characteristic of laser beam transmission are presented and discussed.A pulse energy of 25 J with 15 ns pulse-width and a maximum peak power of 1660 k W laser system which use one oscillation and eight amplifiers has been achieved.Laser beam has a max divergence angle of 0.03 mrad,a pulse-to-pulse pulse-width stability of±0.1 ns,and the pulse-to-pulse energy stability factors of less than±2.8%.A low value of divergence means an easier modification of a nearly hat-top laser beam intensity profile and an easier transmission of laser beam.To evaluate the performance of the laser system,several metal materials are processed.Laser peening quality and efficiency are analyzed by using an optical microscope,a transmission electron microscope,and an X-ray diffraction device.The processing results show that the performance of this laser system is excellent. | QIAO HongChao ZHAO JiBin YANG Hao | 2015 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2015,58,7: | 2 |

| 16 | Dryness-wetness change and regional differentiation of flood-drought disasters in Guangdong during 1480-1940AD显示文摘Based on the historical records of the drought and flood disasters during 1480-1940AD, this paper reconstructs the sequences of wetness index (WI) and drought and flood disasters. We find a good identical relationship between the fluctuation of WI sequence and the δ18O record of the GISP2 ice core in Greenland, which shows an apparent monsoonal disposal pattern of moisture and temperature. By applying the Morlet Wavelet Transform Method to deal with the data, several apparent periodicities, such as 7-8a, 11-15a, 20-23a and ca 50a, are revealed, among which some can be attributed to the solar forcing.
