| 7 | Oral administration of Allium sativum extract protects against infectious bursal disease in chickens显示文摘Garlic(Allium sativum,Liliaceae)has been safely used for more than 5000 years,and research on garlic extract is rapidly increasing because of its multiple biological functions.The in vivo effects of oral administration of garlic mixture(GM,water-soluble extract)on infectious bursal disease virus(IBDV)-infected specific pathogen free male white leghorn chicken were examined through histopathological,immunohistochemical,and Western blot analyses,and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.The results confirmed the protective effects of oral administration of 5 mg·kg^(–1) BW GM(Group GM1)on bursal lesions after IBDV infection.In particular,protein expression of IBDV in the bursa decreased in Group GM1,indicating that GM administration decreased IBDV replication in the bursa.Furthermore,immunoglobulin M-and A-bearing B lymphocytes significantly increased 7 days post infection in bursae in Group GM1(P<0.01),suggesting that the oral administration of 5 mg·kg^(–1) GM offers moderate protection against B cell destruction after IBDV infection.During infection,the concentration of bursal interferon gamma(IFN-g)increased and peaked in Group GM1 earlier than in Group T(IBDV-exposed),demonstrating that GM administration prompted the production of IFN-g to protect against IBDV infection. | Sufen ZHAO Yuanyuan JIA Weiwei ZHANG Lili WANG Yunfei MA Kedao TENG | 2015 | Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering2015,2,4: | 0 |
| 8 | A rare case of giant panda cancer:Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma显示文摘Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)is a highly malignant cancer of the digestive system common among humans.However,it is rarely reported in wild animals.In 2018,a giant panda died in the Beijing Zoo.During subsequent histological observation of the pancreas,it was discovered that the glandular epithelial cells had lost the pancreatic acinar structure,tubular areas with obvious structure in the pancreas,and the ductal epithelium was substituted by high columnar mucus cells.Masson staining showed that there were several fibrous tissue proliferative reactions around the ductal adenocarcinoma and immunohistochemical staining revealed that CK7 and CK19 were positively expressed in the pancreatic tissue.Therefore,the pathological diagnosis indicated that the panda had PDAC.In this paper,the panda’s living conditions and pathological diagnosis results are examined,with the aim of providing a reference point for the future diagnosis of wild animal tumors. | Yunsheng Wang Maohua Xia Xiangxiang Li Xinxin Guo Yan Lu Sufen Zhao Tianchun Pu | 2022 | Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2022,5,6: | 0 |

| 10 | Heterogeneous Network Embedding: A Survey显示文摘Real-world complex networks are inherently heterogeneous;they have different types of nodes,attributes,and relationships.In recent years,various methods have been proposed to automatically learn how to encode the structural and semantic information contained in heterogeneous information networks(HINs)into low-dimensional embeddings;this task is called heterogeneous network embedding(HNE).Efficient HNE techniques can benefit various HIN-based machine learning tasks such as node classification,recommender systems,and information retrieval.Here,we provide a comprehensive survey of key advancements in the area of HNE.First,we define an encoder-decoder-based HNE model taxonomy.Then,we systematically overview,compare,and summarize various state-of-the-art HNE models and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of various model categories to identify more potentially competitive HNE frameworks.We also summarize the application fields,benchmark datasets,open source tools,andperformance evaluation in theHNEarea.Finally,wediscuss open issues and suggest promising future directions.We anticipate that this survey will provide deep insights into research in the field of HNE. | Sufen Zhao Rong Peng Po Hu Liansheng Tan | 2023 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2023,,10: | 0 |
