1Ultrathin wavy Rh nanowires as highly effective electrocatalysts for methanol oxidation reaction with ultrahigh ECSA显示文摘Direct methanol fuel cells (DMFCs) have received tremendous research interests because of the facile storage of liquid methanol vs.hydrogen.However,the DMFC today is severely plagued by the poor kinetics and rather high overpotential in methanol oxidation reaction (MOR).Here we report the investigation of the ultrathin Rh wavy nanowires as a highly effective MOR electrocatalyst.We show that ultrathin wavy Rh nanowires can be robustly synthesized with 2-3 nm diameters.Electrochemical studies show a current peak at the potential of 0.61 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE),considerably lower than that of Pt based catalysts (~ 0.8-0.9 V vs.RHE).Importantly,with ultrathin diameters and favorable charge transport,the Rh nanowires catalysts exhibit an ultrahigh electrochemically active surface area determined from CO-stripping (ECSAco) of 144.2 m2/g,far exceeding that of the commercial Rh black samples (20 m2/g).Together,the Rh nanowire catalysts deliver a mass activity of 722 mA/mg at 0.61 V,considerably higher than many previously reported electrocatalysts at the same potential.The chronoamperometry studies also demonstrate good stability and CO-tolerance compared with the Rh black control sample,making ultrathin Rh wavy nanowires an attractive electrocatalyst for MOR.Xiaoyang Fu Zipeng Zhao Chengzhang Wan Yiliu Wang Zheng Fan Frank Song Bocheng Cao Mufan Li Wang Xue Yu Huang Xiangfeng Duan 2019Nano Research2019,12,1:3
2Regulation of the stability and ABA import activity of NRT1.2/NPF4.6 by CEPR2-mediated phosphorylation in Arabidopsis显示文摘Abscisic acid(ABA)transport plays an important role in systemic plant responses to environmental factors.However,it remains largely unclear about the precise regulation of ABA transporters in plants.In this study,we show that the C-terminally encoded peptide receptor 2(CEPR2)directly interacts with the ABA transporter NRT1.2/NPF4.6.Genetic and phenotypic analyses revealed that NRT1.2/NPF4.6 positively regulates ABA response and that NRT1.2/NPF4.6 is epistatically and negatively regulated by CEPR2.Further biochemical assays demonstrated that CEPR2 phosphorylates NRT1.2/NPF4.6 at serine 292 to promote its degradation under normal conditions.However,ABA treatment and non-phosphorylation at serine 292 prevented the degradation of NRT1.2/NPF4.6,indicating that ABA inhibits the phosphorylation of this residue.Transport assays in yeast and Xenopus oocytes revealed that non-phosphorylated NRT1.2/NPF4.6 had high levels of ABA import activity,whereas phosphorylated NRT1.2/NPF4.6 did not import ABA.Analyses of complemented nrt1.2 mutants that mimicked non-phosphorylated and phosphorylated NRT1.2/NPF4.6 confirmed that non-phosphorylated NRT1.2S292A had high stability and ABA import activity in planta.Additional experiments showed that NRT1.2/NPF4.6 was degraded via the 26S proteasome and vacuolar degradation pathways.Furthermore,we found that three E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes,UBC32,UBC33,and UBC34,interact with NRT1.2/NPF4.6 in the endoplasmic reticulum and mediate its ubiquitination.NRT1.2/NPF4.6 is epistatically and negatively regulated by UBC32,UBC33,and UBC34 inplanta.Taken together,these results suggest that the stability and ABA import activity of NRT1.2/NPF4.6 are precisely regulated by its phosphorylation and degradation in response to environmental stress.Lei Zhang Zipeng Yu Yang Xu Miao Yu Yue Ren Shizhong Zhang Guodong Yang Jinguang Huang Kang Yan Chengchao Zheng Changai Wu 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,4:2

4A Mixed-integer SDP Solution to Distributionally Robust Unit Commitment with Second Order Moment Constraints显示文摘A power system unit commitment(UC)problem considering uncertainties of renewable energy sources is investigated in this paper,through a distributionally robust optimization approach.We assume that the first and second order moments of stochastic parameters can be inferred from historical data,and then employed to model the set of probability distributions.The resulting problem is a two-stage distributionally robust unit commitment with second order moment constraints,and it can be recast as a mixed-integer semidefinite programming(MI-SDP)with finite constraints.The solution algorithm of the problem comprises solving a series of relaxed MI-SDPs and a subroutine of feasibility checking and vertex generation.Based on the verification of strong duality of the semidefinite programming(SDP)problems,we propose a cutting plane algorithm for solving the MI-SDPs;we also introduce an SDP relaxation for the feasibility checking problem,which is an intractable biconvex optimization.Experimental results on the IEEE 6-bus system are presented,showing that without any tuning of parameters,the real-time operation cost of distributionally robust UC method outperforms those of deterministic UC and two-stage robust UC methods in general,and our method also enjoys higher reliability of dispatch operation.Xiaodong Zheng Haoyong Chen Yan Xu Zhengmao Li Zhenjia Lin Zipeng Liang 2020CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2020,6,2:1
5High temperature ceramic thermal insulation material显示文摘Flexible and lightweight thermal insulation materials with hierarchical microstructures are ubiquitous in thermal management and protection systems.Ceramic aerogels promise high-temperature thermal insulation but lack mechanical robustness,while the fibrous materials with excellent mechanical elasticity display modest thermal insulation.Here we describe flexible hierarchical superhydrophobic ceramic insulation nanocomposites through the densified architectured hierarchical nanostructures,radiative insulation coating,and interfacial cross-linking among composites.The lightweight flexible ceramic nanocomposites exhibit a density of 0.13 g/cm^(3),high-temperature fire resistance with thermal conductivity of 0.024 W/(m·K),and super-hydrophobicity with the water contact angle of 152°.The mechanical robustness and high-temperature thermal insulation of ceramic nanocomposites,together with its soundproof performance,shed light on the low-cost flexible insulation materials manufacturing with scalability for high-temperature thermal insulation applications under high mechanical loading conditions.Lu An Jason N.Armstrong Yong Hu Yulong Huang Zheng Li Donghui Zhao Jesse Sokolow Zipeng Guo Chi Zhou Shenqiang Ren 2022Nano Research2022,15,7:1

7The Brassicaceae-specific secreted peptides,STMPs,function in plant growth and pathogen defense显示文摘Low molecular weight secreted peptides have recently been shown to affect multiple aspects of plant growth,development,and defense responses.Here,we performed stepwise BLAST filtering to identify unannotated peptides from the Arabidopsis thaliana protein database and uncovered a novel secreted peptide family,secreted transmembrane peptides(STMPs).These low molecular weight peptides,which consist of an N-terminal signal peptide and a transmembrane domain,were primarily localized to extracellular compartments but were also detected in the endomembrane system of the secretory pathway,including the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi.Comprehensive bioinformatics analysis identified 10 STMP family members that are specific to the Brassicaceae family.Brassicaceae plants showed dramatically inhibited root growth uponexposure to chemically synthesized STMP1 and STMP2.Arabidopsis overexpressing STMP1,2,4,6,or 10 exhibited severely arrested growth,suggesting that STMPs are involved in regulating plant growth and development.In addition,in vitro bioassays demonstrated that STMP1,STMP2,and STMP10 have antibacterial effects against Pseudomonas syringae pv.tomato DC3000,Ralstonia solanacearum,Bacillus subtilis,and Agrobacterium tumefaciens,demonstrating that STMPs are antimicrobial peptides.These findings suggest that STMP family members play important roles in various developmental events and pathogen defense responses in Brassicaceae plants.Zipeng Yu Yang Xu Lifei Zhu Lei Zhang Lin Liu Di Zhang Dandan Li Changai Wu Jinguang Huang Guodong Yang Kang Yan Shizhong Zhang Chengchao Zheng 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,4:1

11Function identification of Md TIR1 in apple root growth benefited from the predicted Md PPI network显示文摘Protein–protein interaction(PPI)network analysis is an effective method to identify key proteins during plant development,especially in species for which basic molecular research is lacking,such as apple(Malus domestica).Here,an MdPPI network containing 30806 PPIs was inferred in apple and its quality and reliability were rigorously verified.Subsequently,a rootgrowth subnetwork was extracted to screen for critical proteins in root growth.Because hormone-related proteins occupied the largest proportion of critical proteins,a hormonerelated sub-subnetwork was further extracted from the root-growth subnetwork.Among these proteins,auxin-related M.domestica TRANSPORT INHIBITOR RESISTANT 1(MdTIR1)served as the central,high-degree node,implying that this protein exerts essential roles in root growth.Furthermore,transgenic apple roots overexpressing an MdTIR1 transgene displayed increased primary root elongation.Expression analysis showed that MdTIR1 significantly upregulated auxin-responsive genes in apple roots,indicating that it mediates root growth in an auxin-dependent manner.Further experimental validation revealed that MdTIR1 interacted with and accelerated the degradation of MdIAA28,MdIAA43,andMdIAA46.Thus,MdTIR1-mediated degradation of MdIAAs is critical in auxin signal transduction and root growth regulation in apple.Moreover,our network analysis and high-degree node screening provide a novel research technique for more generally characterizing molecular mechanisms.Lin Liu Zipeng Yu Yang Xu Cheng Guo Lei Zhang Changai Wu Guodong Yang Jinguang Huang Kang Yan Huairui Shu Chengchao Zheng Shizhong Zhang 2021Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,4:0

13Digestive tract reconstruction in pancreaticoduodenectomy in University Hospitals of China: a national questionnaire survey显示文摘Background Pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD)has been widely applied in general hospitals in China;however,there is still a lack of unified standards for each surgical technique and procedure.This survey is intended to investigate the current status of digestive tract reconstruction after PD in university hospitals in China.Method A cross-sectional survey was conducted among the members of the Young Elite Pancreatic Surgery Club of China by using the Questionnaire for Digestive Tract Reconstruction after Pancreaticoduodenectomy.The questionnaire was disseminated and collected by point-to-point communication via WeChat public platforms.Results A total of 73 valid questionnaires were returned from 65 university hospitals in 28 provincial divisions of China's Mainland.The respondents who performed PD surgery with an annual volume of over 100 cases accounted for 63%.Generally,laparoscopic PD was performed less often than open PD.Child and Whipple reconstructions accounted for 70%and 26%,respectively.The sequence of pancreatoenteric,biliary-enteric,and gastrointestinal reconstruction accounted for 84%of cases.In pancreatoenteric anastomosis,double-layer anastomosis is the most commonly employed type,accounting for approximately 67%,while single-layer anastomosis accounts for 30%.Of the double-layer anastomoses,duct-to-mucosa/dunking(94%/4%)PJ was performed with duct-mucosa using the Blumgart method(39%)and Cattel-Warren(29%),with continuous/interrupted sutures in the inner layer(69%/31%)and continuous/interrupted sutures in the outer layer(53%/23%).In single-layer anastomosis,continuous/interrupted sutures accounted for 41%/45%.In hepatojejunostomy,single-layer/double-layer suture accounted for 79%/4%,and continuous/interrupted suture accounted for 75%/9%.Forty-six percent of the responding units had not applied double-layer biliary-intestinal anastomosis in the last 3 years,75%of the responding surgeons chose the anastomosis method according to bile duct diameter,with absorbable/non-absorbable suture accounting for 86%/12%.PD/pylorus-preserving PD accounted for 79%/11%of GJ cases,the distance between GJ and HJ<30 cm,30-50 cm and>50 cm were 11%,75%,and 14%,respectively.Antecolic/retrocolic GJ accounted for 71%/23%of cases.Twenty-two percent of GJ cases employed Braun anastomosis,while 55%and 19%of GJ cases used linear cutting staplers/tube-type staplers,respectively;60%/14%were reinforced/not reinforced via manual suturing after stapler anastomosis.Manual anastomosis in GJ surgery employed absorbable/non-absorbable sutures(91%/9%).Significant differences in reconstruction techniques were detected between different volumes of PD procedures(<100/year and>100/year),regions with different economic development levels,and between north and south China.Conclusion Digestive tract reconstruction following PD exists heterogeneity in Chinese university hospitals.Corresponding prospective clinical studies are needed to determine the consensus on pancreatic surgery that meets the clinical reality in China.Jishu Wei Qiang Xu Yuhua Zhang Jiabin Jin Xiaodong Tian Qiaofei Liu Zipeng Lu Zheng Wang Shanmiao Gou Song Gao Xianlin Han Yefei Rong Niandong Ji Ye Lin Guolin Li Shi Chen Feng Cao Hua Chen Wenming Wu Yupei Zhao the Young Elite Pancreatic Surgery Club of China 2022Journal of Pancreatology2022,5,3:0
