1Natural amber, copal resin and colophony investigated by UV-VIS, infrared and Raman spectrum显示文摘Natural amber, copal resin and colophony are have investigated by UV-VIS, infrared and Raman spectrum. In order to distinguish the natural amber, copal resin and colophony, we have successfully used the nondestructive examination (NDE) technology. The results show that UV-VIS could not distinguish these compositions. The infrared spectra can distinguish them, but the technology may destroy the specimen. The Raman spectra show three characteristic peaks of vibration near position 932 cm-1 and position 1179 cm-1 of copal resin, which confirm the existence of terpenes compounds in it. In the Raman spectra of colophony, the vibration characteristic peak at position 1589 cm-1 , caused by the conjugate double bond of internal unsaturated resin acid, is the basis of the characteristic difference between colophony and natural amber. 2A sea temperature data assimilation system for the China Seas and adjacent areas显示文摘A sea temperature data assimilation system forthe China Seas and adjacent areas is developed based on anested regional ocean circulation model and variational op-timal interpolation assimilation method. A 12-year assimila-tion experiment is performed by using the observationaltemperature profiles from World Ocean Database 1998(WOD98) and ECMWF reanalysis surface wind stress. Ex-perimental results indicate that the variational schemeshows good skill in assimilating the observed sea temperatureinto a regional ocean circulation model. Compared withsimulation alone, the sea temperature data assimilation sig-nificantly improves the performance of a regional oceanmodel and obtains comprehensive description of the circula-tions in the China Seas and adjacent areas. 3The 4Rs approach to COVID-19 emergency management during the post-pandemic period:What lessons can be learned from Shenzhen,China?显示文摘The Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2(or Omicron)is extremely contagious and has swept the world in a short period.Shenzhen—a new international city in China with a permanent population of 17.56 million and covering nearly 2000 square kilometers—was attacked by Omicron in 2022.However,the pandemic was controlled in a very short time as a result of prompt government reaction that prevented the variant’s further spread.The total number of cases in this wave of the pandemic was more than 2600.Shenzhen’s successful experience in tackling the Omicron wave deserves in-depth discussion.Proposed by American scholar Robert Heath,the 4Rs model aims to reduce the harm from a crisis through the measures of reduction,readiness,response,and recovery.This article presents the successful experience of Shenzhen’s local government and the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen,the only hospital in Shenzhen designated to use the 4Rs emergency management model for the treatment of COVID-19 during the 2022 Omicron wave of the pandemic.Rongfeng Zhou Hongzhou Lu 2022Infectious Medicine2022,1,4:1

7Effects of C and Mn elements on deformation-enhanced ferrite transformation in low carbon (Mn) steels显示文摘Effects of C and Mn contents on the deformation-enhanced ferrite transformation (DEFT) in low carbon (Mn) steels have been investigated by hot compression. The microstructures of 2-4μm ultra-fine equiaxed ferrite grains with minors distributed ho- mogeneously can be obtained by DEFT in all the tested steels. The more pronounced refinement is achieved as the C or Mn content increasing because of the higher-density nucleating sites and lower growth rate. 9A target parameter estimation method via atom-reconstruction in radar mainlobe jamming显示文摘Mainlobe jamming(MLJ)brings a big challenge for radar target detection,tracking,and identification.The suppression of MLJ is a hard task and an open problem in the electronic counter-counter measures(ECCM)field.Target parameters and target direction estimation is difficult in radar MLJ.A target parameter estimation method via atom-reconstruction in radar MLJ is proposed in this paper.The proposed method can suppress the MLJ and simultaneously provide high estimation accuracy of target range and angle.Precisely,the eigen-projection matrix processing(EMP)algorithm is adopted to suppress the MLJ,and the target range is estimated effectively through the beamforming and pulse compression.Then the target angle can be effectively estimated by the atom-reconstruction method.Without any prior knowledge,the MLJ can be canceled,and the angle estimation accuracy is well preserved.Furthermore,the proposed method does not have strict requirement for radar array construction,and it can be applied for linear array and planar array.Moreover,the proposed method can effectively estimate the target azimuth and elevation simultaneously when the target azimuth(or elevation)equals to the jamming azimuth(or elevation),because the MLJ is suppressed in spatial plane dimension.ZHOU Bilei LIU Weijian LI Rongfeng CHEN Hui ZHANG Liang DU Qinglei LI Binbin CHEN Hao 2024Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2024,35,2:0
10Systematic bio‑fabrication of aptamers and their applications in engineering biology显示文摘Aptamers are single-stranded DNA or RNA molecules that have high affinity and selectivity to bind to specific targets.Compared to antibodies,aptamers are easy to in vitro synthesize with low cost,and exhibit excellent thermal stability and programmability.With these features,aptamers have been widely used in biology and medicine-related fields.In the meantime,a variety of systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment(SELEX)technologies have been developed to screen aptamers for various targets.According to the characteristics of targets,customizing appropriate SELEX technology and post-SELEX optimization helps to obtain ideal aptamers with high affinity and specificity.In this review,we first summarize the latest research on the systematic bio-fabrication of aptamers,including various SELEX technologies,post-SELEX optimization,and aptamer modification technology.These procedures not only help to gain the aptamer sequences but also provide insights into the relationship between structure and function of the aptamers.The latter provides a new perspective for the systems bio-fabrication of aptamers.Furthermore,on this basis,we review the applications of aptamers,particularly in the fields of engineering biology,including industrial biotechnology,medical and health engineering,and environmental and food safety monitoring.And the encountered challenges and prospects are discussed,providing an outlook for the future development of aptamers.Rongfeng Cai Xin Chen Yuting Zhang Xiaoli Wang Nandi Zhou 2023Systems Microbiology and Biomanufacturing2023,3,2:0
11Knockdown of hepatocyte Perilipin-3 mitigates hepatic steatosis and steatohepatitis caused by hepatocyte CGI-58 deletion in mice显示文摘Comparative gene identification-58(CGI-58),also known asα/βhydrolase domain containing 5,is the co-activator of adipose triglyceride lipase that hydrolyzes triglycerides stored in the cytosolic lipid droplets.Mutations in CGI-58 gene cause Chanarin-Dorfman syndrome(CDS),an autosomal recessive neutral lipid storage disease with ichthyosis.The liver pathology of CDS manifests as steatosis and steatohepatitis,which currently has no effective treatments.Perilipin-3(Plin3)is a member of the Perilipin-ADRP-TIP47 protein family that is essential for lipid droplet biogenesis.The objective of this study was to test a hypothesis that deletion of a major lipid droplet protein alleviates fatty liver pathogenesis caused by CGI-58 deficiency in hepatocytes.Adult CGI-58-floxed mice were injected with adeno-associated vectors simultaneously expressing the Cre recombinase and microRNA against Plin3 under the control of a hepatocyte-specific promoter,followed by high-fat diet feeding for 6 weeks.Liver and blood samples were then collected from these animals for histological and biochemical analysis.Plin3 knockdown in hepatocytes prevented steatosis,steatohepatitis,and necroptosis caused by hepatocyte CGI-58 deficiency.Our work is the first to show that inhibiting Plin3 in hepatocytes is sufficient to mitigate hepatocyte CGI-58 deficiency-induced hepatic steatosis and steatohepatitis in mice.Xinyu Bao Xiaogen Ma Rongfeng Huang Jianghui Chen Haoran Xin Meiyu Zhou Lihua Li Shifei Tong Qian Zhang Guanghou Shui Fang Deng Liqing Yu Min-Dian Li Zhihui Zhang 2022Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2022,14,8:0
