| 1 | Phosphorus recovery from biogas fermentation liquid by Ca-Mg loaded biochar显示文摘Shortage in phosphorus(P) resources and P wastewater pollution is considered as a serious problem worldwide. The application of modified biochar for P recovery from wastewater and reuse of recovered P as agricultural fertilizer is a preferred process. This work aims to develop a calcium and magnesium loaded biochar(Ca–Mg/biochar) application for P recovery from biogas fermentation liquid. The physico-chemical characterization, adsorption efficiency, adsorption selectivity, and postsorption availability of Ca-Mg/biochar were investigated. The synthesized Ca–Mg/biochar was rich in organic functional groups and in Ca O and Mg O nanoparticles. With the increase in synthesis temperature, the yield decreased, C content increased, H content decreased, N content remained the same basically, and BET surface area increased. The P adsorption of Ca–Mg/biochar could be accelerated by nano-Ca O and nano-Mg O particles and reached equilibrium after 360 min.The process was endothermic, spontaneous, and showed an increase in the disorder of the solid–liquid interface. Moreover, it could be fitted by the Freundlich model. The maximum P adsorption amounts were 294.22, 315.33, and 326.63 mg/g. The P adsorption selectivity of Ca–Mg/biochar could not be significantly influenced by the typical p H level of biogas fermentation liquid. The nano-Ca O and nano-Mg O particles of Ca–Mg/biochar could reduce the negative interaction effects of coexisting ions. The P releasing amounts of postsorption Ca–Mg/biochar were in the order of Ca–Mg/B600 > Ca–Mg/B450 > Ca–Mg/B300. | 3 | Self-microemulsifying drug delivery system for improving the bioavailability of huperzine A by lymphatic uptake显示文摘Huperzine A(Hup-A) is a poorly water-soluble drug with low oral bioavailability. A selfmicroemulsifying drug delivery system(SMEDDS) was used to enhance the oral bioavailability and lymphatic uptake and transport of Hup-A. A single-pass intestinal perfusion(SPIP) technique and a chylomicron flow-blocking approach were used to study its intestinal absorption, mesenteric lymph node distribution and intestinal lymphatic uptake. The value of the area under the plasma concentration–time curve(AUC) of Hup-A SMEDDS was significantly higher than that of a Hup-A suspension(P <0.01).The absorption rate constant(K_a) and the apparent permeability coefficient(P_(app)) for Hup-A in different parts of the intestine suggested a passive transport mechanism, and the values of K_a and P_(app) of Hup-A SMEDDS in the ileum were much higher than those in other intestinal segments. The determination of Hup-A concentration in mesenteric lymph nodes can be used to explain the intestinal lymphatic absorption of Hup-A SMEDDS. For Hup-A SMEDDS, the values of AUC and maximum plasma concentration(C_(max)) of the blocking model were significantly lower than those of the control model(P<0.05). | 4 | Generation of B Cell-Deficient Pigs by Highly Efficient CRISPR/Cas9-Mediated Gene Targeting显示文摘Generating B cell-deficient mutant is the first step to produce human antibody repertoires in large animal models. In this study, we applied the clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated(Cas) system to target the JHregion of the pig Ig M heavy chain gene which is crucial for B cell development and differentiation. Transfection of Ig M-targeting Cas9 plasmid in primary porcine fetal fibroblasts(PFFs) enabled inducing gene knock out(KO) in up to 53.3% of colonies analyzed, a quarter of which harbored biallelic modification, which was much higher than that of the traditional homologous recombination(HR). With the aid of somatic cell nuclear transfer(SCNT) technology, three piglets with the biallelic Ig M heavy chain gene mutation were produced. The piglets showed no antibody-producing B cells which indicated that the biallelic mutation of the Ig M heavy chain gene effectively knocked out the function of the Ig M and resulted in a B cell-deficient phenotype. | 6 | Role and effect of vein-transplanted human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells in the repair of diabetic foot ulcers in rats显示文摘Diabetic foot ulcer(DFU)is one of diabetic complications,which is frequently present and tormented in diabetes mellitus.Most multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells(MSCs)are capable of immune evasion,providing an allogeneic,ready-to-use,cell product option for therapeutic applications.The beneficial effect of MSCs for the treatment of a variety of traumatic injuries,such as open wounds,has been extensively explored.In this study,a rat DFU model was used to simulate the pathophysiology of clinical patients and to investigate the localization of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells(hUC-MSCs)after intravenous transplantation and its role in DFU healing,so as to evaluate the potential of hUC-MSCs in the treatment of DFU.The diabetic rat model was established by streptozotocin injection,which was used to create full-thickness foot dorsal skin wounds to mimic DFU by a 6-mm skin biopsy punch and a Westcott scissor.The hUC-MSCs were transplanted through femoral vein,and the ulcer cicatrization situation and the fate of hUC-MSCs were evaluated.Our data suggest that intravenously transplantated hUC-MSCs have the ability to migrate and locate to the wound tissue and are helpful to wound healing in DFU rats,partly by regulating inflammation,trans-differentiation and providing growth factors that promote angiogenesis,cell proliferation and collagen deposition.Herein,we demonstrate that hUC-MSC transplantation is able to accelerate DFU healing in rats and transplantation of exogenous stem cells may be a potential strategy for clinical application in DFUs. | Rongfeng Shi Weishuai Lian Yinpeng Jin Chuanwu Cao Shilong Han Xiaohu Yang Suming Zhao Maoquan Li Hui Zhao | 2020 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,6: | 13 |

| 10 | The Low Energy X-ray telescope (LE) onboard the Insight-HXMT astronomy satellite显示文摘The Low Energy X-ray telescope(LE) is one of the three main instruments of the Insight-Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope(Insight-HXMT). It is equipped with Swept Charge Device(SCD) sensor arrays with a total geometrical area of 384 cm^2 and an energy band from 0.7 to 13 ke V. In order to evaluate the particle induced X-ray background and the cosmic X-ray background simultaneously, LE adopts collimators to define four types of Field Of Views(FOVs), i.e., 1.6°×6°, 4°×6°, 50°-60°×2°-6 oand the blocked ones which block the X-ray by an aluminum cover. LE is constituted of three detector boxes(LEDs) and an electric control box(LEB) and achieves a good energy resolution of 140 e V@5.9 ke V, an excellent time resolution of 0.98 ms, as well as an extremely low pileup(<1%@18000 cts/s). To resemble the phenotypic features of OSBPL2 mutation in animal models and elucidate the potential genotypephenotype associations, the OSBPL2-disrupted Bama miniature(BM) pig model was constructed using CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing, somatic cell nuclear transfer(SCNT) and embryo transplantation approaches, and then subjected to phenotypic characterization of auditory function and serum lipid profiles. The OSBPL2-disrupted pigs displayed progressive hearing loss(HL) with degeneration/apoptosis of cochlea hair cells(HCs) and morphological abnormalities in HC stereocilia, as well as hypercholesterolaemia. High-fat diet(HFD) feeding aggravated the development of HL and led to more severe hypercholesterolaemia. | 13 | Effect of Ti substitution on hydrogen storage properties of Zr_(1-x)Ti_xCo (x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3) alloys显示文摘Zr1-xTixCo(x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3) alloys were prepared by arc-melting method and the effect of Ti substitution on hydrogen storage properties was studied systematically. Hydrogen desorption pressure-composition-temperature(PCT) measurements were carried out using Sievert's type volumetric apparatus for ZrCo(at 473 K, 573 K and 673 K) and Zr1-xTixCo alloys(at 673 K), respectively. Products after dehydrogenation were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD). In addition, the kinetics of Zr1-xTixCo hydride was investigated at 473 K and 673 K,respectively, under hydrogen pressure of 5 MPa. Results showed that Ti substitution for Zr did not change the crystal structure of ZrCo phase.With the increase of temperature from 473 K to 673 K, the extent of disproportionation for ZrCo alloy increased. With Ti content increasing at 673 K, the desorption equilibrium pressure of Zr1-xTixCo-H2 systems elevated and the disproportionation reaction of Zr1-xTixCo alloys was inhibited effectively. | 14 | Quantitative Analysis on Measure Results by Resistograh for Wood Decay of Ancient Architecture显示文摘The air-dried density, bending strength (MOR) and compressive strength parallel to grain of different grades of rotten wood were measured with test specimens of 100-130 year-old larch (Larix sp.) collected in Wu Ying Dian, the Forbidden City. In addition, the MOR of specimens was measured by Resistograph and the correlations were analyzed between resistance value and mechanical properties of wood. The correlations are significant for quantitative evaluation of wood structural condition by Resistograph. The results showed that wood air-dried density, strength properties and resistance values decreased significantly with the increase of decay degree, and there were remarkable differences among various grades of wood. Based on the rotten degree, the attenuation rate is in the following order: MOR> compressive strength parallel to grain > air-dried wood density > resistance value, and the above 4 indexes were 32%, 53%, 73% and 74% of those of intact wood, respectively, when the degree of rotten wood reached grade 3. Significant positive correlation at 0.01 level was showed between the wave trough values and wood air-dried density, MOR, compressive strength parallel to grain. The correlations between the wave peak values and the average value and air-dried wood density, MOR reached 0.01 level, and the correlations between the wave peak values and the average value and compressive strength parallel to grain reached 0.05 level. | 15 | Adaptive detectors in the Krylov subspace显示文摘The validity of the application of the Krylov subspace techniques in adaptive filtering and detection is investigated. A new verification of the equivalence of two well-known methods in the Krylov subspace, namely the multistage Wiener filters(MWF) and the auxiliary-vector filtering(AVF), is given in this paper. The MWF and AVF are incorporated into two well-known detectors, namely, the adaptive matched filter(AMF) and Kelly's generalized likelihood ratio test(GLRT) including their diagonally loaded versions, which form new detectors.Compared to the conventional AMF, GLRT, and their diagonally loaded versions as well as the reduced-rank AMF and GLRT, the probabilities of detection(PDs) of the new detectors are improved especially when the sample support is low. More importantly, the new detectors are robust of the rank selection of the clutter subspace compared to the reduced-rank AMF and GLRT. | 17 | Removing lignin model pollutants with BiFeO_3–g-C_3N_4 compound as an efficient visible-light-heterogeneous Fenton-like catalyst显示文摘BiFeO_3–g-C_3N_4 nanoscaled composite was prepared with a hydrothermal method and evaluated as a highly efficient photo-Fenton like catalyst under visible light irradiation. The BiFeO_3–g-C_3N_4 composite exhibited much stronger adsorption ability to lignin model pollutant(guaiacol) than that of BiFeO_3, which may be due to the higher specific surface area(BiFeO_3–g-C_3N_4: 35.59 m^2/g > BiFeO_3: 7.42 m^2/g) and the adsorption form of π–π stack between g-C_3N_4 and guaiacol. The composite exhibited excellent visible light-Fenton like catalysis activity, being influenced by the solution pH value and the proportions of BiFeO_3 and g-C_3N_4 nanosheets. Under optimal conditions with visible light irradiation, the BiFeO_3–g-C_3N_4 composite yielded fast degradation of guaiacol with an apparent rate constant of 0.0452 min^(-1), which were 5.21 and 6.80 folds of that achieved by using BiFeO_3 and the mixture of BiFeO_3 and g-C_3N_4 nanosheets, respectively. We present a simple, dynamic model to assess the epidemic potential of SARS and the effectiveness of control measures. With this model, we analysed the SARS epidemic data in Beijing. The data fitting gives the basic case reproduction number of 2.16 leading to the outbreak, and the variation of the effec-tive reproduction number reflecting the control effect. | 19 | Adsorption and Regeneration of Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs)on Coal-Based Activated Carbon by Ferric Nitrate Modification显示文摘In this study,the Heishan coal was used to prepare a series of activated carbon(AC)samples via a vapor deposition method.The effects of the Fe(NO_(3))3/coal weight ratio on the physicochemical properties of the activated carbon were systematically investigated,and the AC samples were analyzed by the N2 adsorption-desorption technique,the scanning electron microscopy,the X-ray diffraction,the Raman spectroscopy,and the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.Furthermore,the adsorption properties of ethyl acetate were investigated.The results indicated that as the Fe(NO_(3))3/coal mass ratio increased from 1:8 to 1:2,the specific surface area,the total pore volume and the micropore volume initially increased and then decreased.The specific surface area increased from 560.86 m^(2)/g to 685.90 m^(2)/g,and then decreased to 299.56 m^(2)/g.The total pore volume and micropore volume increased from 0.29 cm^(3)/g and 0.17 cm^(3)/g to 0.30 cm^(3)/g and 0.22 cm^(3)/g,and then decreased to 0.16 cm^(3)/g and 0.10 cm^(3)/g,respectively.The optimized ratio was 1:8.During the activation process,iron ions infiltrated the activated carbon to promote the development of the pore structure,the pore size of which was between 2.5 nm and 3 nm in daimeter.This approach could enhance the capacity for adsorption of ethyl acetate.It is worth noting that the ACs displaying the largest specific surface area and total pore volume(685.90 m^(2)/g and 0.30 cm^(3)/g)were formed under the optimized activation conditions(950℃,20%(volume)of CO_(2),ratio 1:5),and the maximum AC capacity for adsorption of ethyl acetate was 962.62 mg/g.After seven repeated thermal regeneration experiments,the saturated AC adsorption capacity was still above 90%. | Jin Chunjiang Chen Huimin Wang Luyuan Cheng Xingxing Sun Rongfeng | 2021 | China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2021,23,3: | 4 |
| 20 | Argo floats revealing bimodality of large-scale mid-depth circulation in the North Atlantic显示文摘Analysis of Argo float trajectories at 1 000 m and temperature at 950 m in the North Atlantic between November 2003 and January 2005 demonstrates the existence of two different circulation modes with fast transition between them. Each mode has a pair of cyclonic-anticyclonic gyres. The difference is the location of the cyclonic gyre. The cyclonic gyre stretches from southeast to northwest in the first mode and from the southwest to the northeast in the second mode. The observed modes strongly affect the heat and salt transport in the North Atlantic.
