1The strengthening East Asia summer monsoon since the early 1990s显示文摘Previous studies have documented a weakening tendency of the East Asian summer monsoon (EASM) since the end of the 1970s. In this study, we report that the EASM has been recovering since the early 1990s, although its strength is still less than in previous decades (averaged over the period 1965-1980). Following the recovery of the EASM, there has been a tendency in the last decade toward northward-moving rainbands and excessive rainfall in the Huaihe River valley (110°-120°E, 30°-35°N). 2Multi-objective Stability Control Algorithm of Heavy Tractor Semi-trailer Based on Differential Braking显示文摘Rollover and jack-knifing of tractor semi-trailer are serious threats for vehicle safety,and accordingly active safety technologies have been widely used to reduce or prevent the occurrence of such accidents.However,currently tractor semi-trailer stability control is generally only a single hazardous condition (rollover or jack-knifing) control,it is difficult to ensure the vehicle comprehensive stability of various dangerous conditions.The main objective of this study is to introduce a multi-objective stability control algorithm which can improve the vehicle stability of a tractor semi-trailer by using differential braking.A vehicle controller is designed to minimize the likelihood of rollover and jack-knifing.First a linear vehicle model of tractor semi-trailer is constructed.Then an optimal yaw control for tractor using differential braking is applied to minimize the yaw rate and lateral acceleration deviation of tractor,as well as the hitch articulation angle of tractor semi-trailer,so as to improve the vehicle stability.Second a braking scheme and variable structure control with sliding mode control are introduced in order to achieve the best braking effect.Last Fishhook maneuver is introduced to the active safety simulation and the active control system effect verification.The simulation results show that multi-objective stability control algorithm of semi-trailer could improve the vehicle stability significantly during the transient maneuvers.The proposed multi-objective stability control algorithm is effective to prevent the vehicle rollover and jackknifing.ZONG Changfu ZHU Tianjun WANG Chang LIU Haizhen 2012Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,1:13
3Atmospheric oscillations over the last millennium显示文摘The variations of global atmospheric oscillations over the last millennium, including the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO), the North Pacific Oscillation (NPO) highly associated with the Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO), the Southern Oscillation (SO) and the Antarctic Oscillation (AAO), are studied and compared in this paper based on observations and reconstructed data. The cross correlation analysis of AAO, NAO and NPO shows that there is no significant relationship on interannual variation among them. However, the consistency on decadal variability is prominent. During A.D.1920–1940 and A.D.1980–2000, the positive (strong) phase was dominant and the negative (weak) one noticeable during A.D.1940–1980. 4Tocilizumab in patients with moderate or severe COVID-19: a randomized, controlled, open-label, multicenter trial显示文摘Tocilizumab has been reported to attenuate the“cytokine storm”in COVID-19 patients.We attempted to verify the effectiveness and safety of tocilizumab therapy in COVID-19 and identify patients most likely to benefit from this treatment.We conducted a randomized,controlled,open-label multicenter trial among COVID-19 patients.The patients were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either tocilizumab in addition to standard care or standard care alone.The cure rate,changes of oxygen saturation and interference,and inflammation biomarkers were observed.Thirty-three patients were randomized to the tocilizumab group,and 32 patients to the control group.The cure rate in the tocilizumab group was higher than that in the control group,but the difference was not statistically significant(94.12%vs.87.10%,rate difference 95%CI−7.19%–21.23%,P=0.4133).The improvement in hypoxia for the tocilizumab group was higher from day 4 onward and statistically significant from day 12(P=0.0359).In moderate disease patients with bilateral pulmonary lesions,the hypoxia ameliorated earlier after tocilizumab treatment,and less patients(1/12,8.33%)needed an increase of inhaled oxygen concentration compared with the controls(4/6,66.67%;rate difference 95%CI−99.17%to−17.50%,P=0.0217).No severe adverse events occurred.More mild temporary adverse events were recorded in tocilizumab recipients(20/34,58.82%)than the controls(4/31,12.90%).Tocilizumab can improve hypoxia without unacceptable side effect profile and significant influences on the time virus load becomes negative.For patients with bilateral pulmonary lesions and elevated IL-6 levels,tocilizumab could be recommended to improve outcome.Dongsheng Wang Binqing Fu Zhen Peng Dongliang Yang Mingfeng Han Min Li Yun Yang Tianjun Yang Liangye Sun Wei Li Wei Shi Xin Yao Yan Ma Fei Xu Xiaojing Wang Jun Chen Daqing Xia Yubei Sun Lin Dong Jumei Wang Xiaoyu Zhu Min Zhang Yonggang Zhou Aijun Pan Xiaowen Hu Xiaodong Mei Haiming Wei Xiaoling Xu 2021Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,3:2

6Extreme Cold Events in North America and Eurasia in November-December 2022: A Potential Vorticity Gradient Perspective显示文摘From 17 November to 27 December 2022, extremely cold snowstorms frequently swept across North America and Eurasia. Diagnostic analysis reveals that these extreme cold events were closely related to the establishment of blocking circulations. Alaska Blocking(AB) and subsequent Ural Blocking(UB) episodes are linked to the phase transition of the North Atlantic Oscillation(NAO) and represent the main atmospheric regimes in the Northern Hemisphere. The downstream dispersion and propagation of Rossby wave packets from Alaska to East Asia provide a large-scale connection between AB and UB episodes. Based on the nonlinear multi-scale interaction(NMI) model, we found that the meridional potential vorticity gradient(PVy) in November and December of 2022 was anomalously weak in the mid-high latitudes from North America to Eurasia and provided a favorable background for the prolonged maintenance of UB and AB events and the generation of associated severe extreme snowstorms. However, the difference in the UB in terms of its persistence,location, and strength between November and December is related to the positive(negative) NAO in November(December). 7Functional poly(carboxybetaine methacrylate)coated paper sensor for high efficient and multiple detection of nutrients in fruit显示文摘Rapid and simultaneous in situ detection of multi-components is extremely crucial for the real-time monitoring of nutrients in fruits.Herein,a facile and user-friendly poly(carboxybetaine methacrylate)-coated paper-based microfluidic device(pCBMA-μPAD)has been exploited to synchronously identify and semi-quantify vitamin C.glucose,sucro se and fructose in fruits.The pCBMA was successfully grafted from the surface of paper sensor using a co nvenient and robust method,which was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and X-ray photoelectron spectrometry(XPS).The superior hydrophilicity and ultra-low fouling of pCBMA endowed the pCBMA-μPAD with remarkably rapid response(3 min),high sensitivity,good linear relationship and low detection limit(LOD)(vitamin C:y=33.809+5.175 x,R^2=0.993,LOD=0.179 mmol/L;glucose:y=-0.113+30.0661 g(x),R^2=0.988,LOD=0.095 mmol/L;sucrose:y--5.334+34.858 lg(x),R^2=0.996,LOD=0.097 mmol/L;fructose:y=4.996+23.325 lg(x),R^2=0.994,LOD=0.140 mmol/L).Furthermore,satisfactory results were yielded in the detection of these nutrients in 9 fruits,which were much agreed well with those obtained by spectrophotometry.Such a portable and versatile pCBMA-μPAD will pro foundly shape the future of food analysis,especially for the assessment of food quality and nutrition in the process of agricultural production and marketing.Jiajie Li Tianjun Ni Haiquan Liu Long Wu Yingjie Pan Yong Zhao Yongheng Zhu 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,5:1
8Ultra-thin CoAl layered double hydroxide nanosheets for the construction of highly sensitive and selective QCM humidity sensor显示文摘To achieve real-time monitoring of humidity in various applications,we prepared facile and ultra-thin CoAl layered double hydroxide(CoAl LDH)nanosheets to engineer quartz crystal microbalances(QCM).The characteristics of CoAl LDH were investigated by transmission electron microscopy(TEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-ray photoelectric spectroscopy(XPS),Brunauer–Emmett–Telle(BET),atomic force microscopy(AFM)and zeta potential.Due to their large specific surface area and abundant hydroxyl groups,CoAl LDH nanosheets exhibit good humidity sensing performance.In a range of 11.3%and 97.6%relative humidity(RH),the sensor behaved an ultrahigh sensitivity(127.8 Hz/%RH),fast response(9.1 s)and recovery time(3.1 s),low hysteresis(3.1%RH),good linearity(R^(2)=0.9993),stability and selectivity.Besides,the sensor can recover the initial response frequency after being wetted by deionized water,revealing superior self-recovery ability under high humidity.Based on in-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),the adsorption mechanism of CoAl LDH toward water molecules was explored.The QCM sensor can distinguish different respiratory states of people and wetting degree of fingers,as well as monitor the humidity in vegetable packaging,suggesting excellent properties and a promising application in humidity sensing.Yongheng Zhu Xuhua Dong Jinsheng Cheng Lumin Wang Cheng Zhao Yonghui Deng Siqi Xie Yingjie Pan Yong Zhao Gengzhi Sun Tianjun Ni 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,8:1

10Design of a Regenerative Auxiliary Power System for Service Vehicles显示文摘This paper presents a RAPS,namely the regenerative auxiliary power system,for the vehicle with special accessory power systems.Taking city buses and delivery trucks as examples,service vehicles keep engines idling to power their auxiliary devices(e.g.,refrigeration systems and hydraulic pumps).The potential fuel savings brought on by the electrification of these auxiliary systems are first quantitatively analyzed over a typical drive cycle for a delivery truck.The RAPS is then designed,and its components are sized in accordance with the objectives of compactness and cost-effectiveness.By introducing the proposed RAPS into a conventional delivery truck with an internal combustion engine,the powertrain can be treated as a hybrid because of adding an extra battery.As a result,to pursue a high overall efficiency,a holistic controller is presented for determining how and when to recharge the battery while minimizing the auxiliary system’s power consumption.More importantly,the proposed RAPS saves about 7%fuel when compared with consumption by conventional service vehicles.Yanjun Huang Milad Khazeraee Hong Wang Soheil MFard Tianjun Zhu Amir Khajepour 2018Automotive Innovation2018,1,1:1

16Hydrothermal sedimentation and lead-zinc deposit in Dengying formation of the Sinian system in Panxi region显示文摘IN addition to vanadium titano-magnetite, lead-zinc ore is also one of the mineral resources with great exploring potentiality in the Panxi region of Sichuan Province, China. In the carbonate rock strata of theSinian Dengying Formation which account for about 3.5%-11.4% of the total thickness of the strataexposed in the Panxi region there are quite a number of the Pb-Zn deposits that account for 53.4% of thetotal Pb-Zn ore reserve in the whole region. Furthermore, some large Pb-Zn deposits such as the Tianbaoshan Pb-Zn deposit in Huili, the Daliangzi Pb-Zn deposit in Huidong and the Yinchanggou Pb-Zn deposit in Ningnan are also hosted in the Sinian Dengying Formation. 19Can Eurasia Experience a Cold Winter under a Third-Year La Nina in 2022/23?显示文摘The Northern Hemisphere(NH)often experiences frequent cold air outbreaks and heavy snowfalls during La Nina winters.In 2022,a third-year La Nina event has exceeded both the oceanic and atmospheric thresholds since spring and is predicted to reach its mature phase in December 2022.Under such a significant global climate signal,whether the Eurasian Continent will experience a tough cold winter should not be assumed,despite the direct influence of mid-to high-latitude,large-scale atmospheric circulations upon frequent Eurasian cold extremes,whose teleconnection physically operates by favoring Arctic air invasions into Eurasia as a consequence of the reduction of the meridional background temperature gradient in the NH.In the 2022/23 winter,as indicated by the seasonal predictions from various climate models and statistical approaches developed at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics,abnormal warming will very likely cover most parts of Europe under the control of the North Atlantic Oscillation and the anomalous anticyclone near the Ural Mountains,despite the cooling effects of La Nina.At the same time,the possibility of frequent cold conditions in mid-latitude Asia is also recognized for this upcoming winter,in accordance with the tendency for cold air invasions to be triggered by the synergistic effect of a warm Arctic and a cold tropical Pacific on the hemispheric scale.However,how the future climate will evolve in the 2022/23 winter is still subject to some uncertainty,mostly in terms of unpredictable internal atmospheric variability.Consequently,the status of the mid-to high-latitude atmospheric circulation should be timely updated by medium-term numerical weather forecasts and sub-seasonal-to-seasonal prediction for the necessary date information and early warnings.Fei ZHENG Bo WU Lin WANG Jingbei PENG Yao YAO Haifeng ZONG Qing BAO Jiehua MA Shuai HU Haolan REN Tingwei CAO Renping LIN Xianghui FANG Lingjiang TAO Tianjun ZHOU Jiang ZHU 2023Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2023,40,4:0
