1丝虫病传播阈值的研究显示文摘在浙江、河南等11个省、自治区选择经过海群生防治、丝虫和蚊媒种类有代表性的地方建点21个,不采取防治措施,纵向观察3-5年。主要结果:①279例残存微丝蚴血症者大部陆续自然转阴;②微丝蚴率,20个点逐年下降,1个点徘徊在原水平;③12个点的蚊媒已未查见幼丝虫。结果表明,在以人饵蚊帐诱捕法调查,蚊媒叮人率为20-50只/人、夜,和有40%左右居民合理使用蚊帐防蚊的情况下,20个点的微丝蚴率,班氏丝虫病点≤1.71%,马来丝虫病点≤1.55%,残存微丝蚴血症者60μl血平均密度大多在3-10条,只有个别的密度较高,丝虫病的传播处于阈值以下,趋于阻断;1个徘徊于原水平的马来丝虫病点,微丝蚴率为2.31%,有1例微丝蚴血症者密度较高(54条/60μl),处于丝虫病传播临界水平。Shi Zong Jun 1994中国寄生虫学与寄生虫病杂志1994,12,1:49

3H2 strain attenuated live hepatitis A vaccines:protective efficacy in a hepatitis A outbreak显示文摘AIM To investigate the protective efficacy ofH2 strain attenuated live hepatitis A vaccines(H2-strain vaccines)in hepatitis A(HA)outbreaks.METHODS With the permission of theirparents,5551 pre-school and grade 1-3 primaryschool children were inoculated with 1 dose(106.5TCID50)of H2-strain vaccines in anonrandomized,controlled trial conducted inFucheng County,Hebei Province in May 1997.Another 6485 children in the same grades andcompatible in gender and age were enrolled ascontrols.Epidemiological and serological surveywas conducted to evaluate the protectiveefficacy of the vaccines.ELISA was used todetect serum IgM anti-HAV.RESULTS HA outbreak started in early May1998,peaked in the middle of the same month,and lasted about 80 days.Overall 302 HA caseswere found,192(53.58%)were 5-9 years old.One vaccinee and 25 control cases were found tohave hepatitis A,which account for 0.28%(1/356)and 5.92%(25/422)of all vaccinees andcontrols in the 14 villages,respectively.The protective efficacy of vaccines was 95.27%(95% Cl:85.83%-104.72%).In subjects testedfor anti-HAV IgM from 13 villages,1(0.40%)overt and 11(4.06%)asymptomatic HAV caseswere found in 271 vaccinees,but 21(6.69%)ofovert and asymptomatic ones were found in 314controls.CONCLUSION H2 strain vaccines were excellent in preventing overt hepatitis A, but not so effective in preventing asymptomatic hepatitis A virus infection. 5Synergistic regulation of drought-responsive genes by transcription factor OsbZIP23 and histone modification in rice显示文摘Thousands of differentially expressed genes(DEGs)have been identified in rice under drought stress conditions.However,the regulatory mechanism of these DEGs remains largely unclear.Here,we report an interplay between histone H3K4me3 modification and transcription factor Osb ZIP23 in the regulation of a dehydrin gene cluster under drought stress conditions in rice.When the H3K4me3 modification level was increased,the dehydrin gene expression levels were increased,and the binding levels of Osb ZIP23 to the promoter of the dehydrin genes were also enhanced.Conversely,the H3K4me3 modification and dehydrin gene expression levels were downregulated in the osbzip23 mutant under drought stress conditions.Our study uncovers a collaboration between transcription factor and H3K4me3 modification in the regulation of droughtresponsive genes,which will help us to further understand the gene regulation mechanism under stress conditions in plants.Wei Zong Jun Yang Jie Fu Lizhong Xiong 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,6:6

9Structural shift of gut microbiota during chemopreventive effects of epigallocatechin gallate on colorectal carcinogenesis in mice显示文摘AIM To investigate the effect of epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG) on structural changes of gut microbiota in colorectal carcinogenesis.METHODS An azoxymethane(AOM)/dextran sodium sulfate(DSS)-induced colitis mouse model was established. Fortytwo female FVB/N mice were randomly divided into the following three groups: group 1(10 mice, negative control) was treated with vehicle, group 2(16 mice, positive control) was treated with AOM plus vehicle, and group 3(16 mice, EG) was treated with AOM plus EGCG. For aberrant crypt foci(ACF) evaluation, the colons were rapidly took out after sacrifice, rinsed with saline, opened longitudinally, laid flat on a polystyrene board, and fixed with 10% buffered formaldehyde solution before being stained with 0.2% methylene blue in saline. For tumor evaluation, the colon was macroscopically inspected and photographed, then the total number of tumors was enumerated and tumor size measured. For histological examination, the fixed tissues were paraffin-embedded and sectioned at 5 mm thickness. Microbial genomic DNA was extracted from fecal and intestinal content samples using a commercial kit. The V4 hypervariable regions of 16 S r RNA were PCR-amplified with the barcoded fusion primers. Using the best hit classification option, the sequences from each sample were aligned to the RDP 16 S r RNA training set to classify the taxonomic abundance in QIIME. Statistical analyses were then performed.RESULTS Treatment of mice with 1% EGCG caused a significant decrease in the mean number of ACF per mouse, when compared with the model mice treated with AOM/DSS(5.38 ± 4.24 vs 13.13 ± 3.02, P < 0.01). Compared with the positive control group, 1% EGCG treatment dependently decreased tumor load per mouse by 85%(33.96 ± 6.10 vs 2.96 ± 2.86, respectively, P < 0.01). All revealed that EGCG could inhibit colon carcinogenesis by decreasing the number of precancerous lesions as well as solid tumors, with reduced tumor load and delayed histological progression of CRC. During the cancerization, the diversity of gut microbiota increased, potential carcinogenic bacteria such as Bacteroides were enriched, and the abundance of butyrate-producing bacteria(Clostridiaceae, Ruminococcus, etc.) decreased continuously. In contrast, the structure of gut microbiota was relatively stable during the intervention of EGCG on colon carcinogenesis. Enrichment of probiotics(Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillu, etc.) might be a potential mechanism for EGCG's effects on tumor suppression. 11Onodera's Prognostic Nutritional Index is a novel and useful prognostic marker for gastrointestinal stromal tumors显示文摘BACKGROUND Immunoinflammatory markers such as the peripheral blood neutrophil-tolymphocyte ratio(NLR)and the platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(PLR)have gained considerable attention as prognostic markers in gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GISTs).AIM To assess the prognostic value of Onodera’s Prognostic Nutritional Index(OPNI)for GISTs.METHODS All patients who had undergone surgical resection for a primary,localized GIST from 2009 to 2016 at our cancer center were initially and retrospectively identified.Recurrence-free survival(RFS)was calculated by the Kaplan-Meier method and compared by the log-rank test.We used multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression models to identify associations with outcome variables.RESULTS A total of 235 GISTs were identified and included for analysis under our inclusion criteria.Univariate and multivariate analyses both identified the OPNI as an independent prognostic marker,and the OPNI was associated with the primary site,tumor size,mitotic index,tumor rupture,necrosis,and modified NIH risk classification.Low OPNI(<51.30;hazard ratio=5.852;95% confidence interval:1.072–31.964;P=0.0414)was associated with worse RFS.The 2-and 5-year RFS rates of the patients with a low OPNI were 92.83% and 76.22%,respectively,whereas 100% and 98.41% were achieved by the patients with a high OPNI.CONCLUSION The preoperative OPNI is a novel and useful prognostic marker for GISTs.Hao Wang Ying-Ying Xu Jun You Wen-Qing Hu Shao-Feng Wang Ping Chen Fan Yang Lei Shi Wei Zhao Liang Zong 2021World Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery2021,13,10:4
12Greenhouse gas emissions from a constructed wetland for municipal sewage treatment显示文摘The fluxes of greenhouse gases (methane and nitrous oxide) emission from a constructed wetland in the Eastern China as municipal sewage treatment were measured from June 1999 to August 2000 by the closed chamber method. The constructed wetland for municipal sewage treatment is a significant source of methane, up to 976 6×10 6 g CH 4/a, which was emitted from the constructed wetland with the area of 495000 m 2 and wastewater loading rate of 12000 m 3/d. Its daily mean methane flux reached 5 22 g CH 4/(m 2·d), 250 times as much as that in natural wetland in the same latitude region. 227 8 mg CH 4 was produced from the treatment of 1 liter wastewater, up to 700—1000 times as much as that in the secondary treatment. 13The varieties of Heisenberg vertex operator algebras显示文摘For a vertex operator algebra V with conformal vector ω,we consider a class of vertex operator subalgebras and their conformal vectors.They are called semi-conformal vertex operator subalgebras and semiconformal vectors of(V,ω),respectively,and were used to study duality theory of vertex operator algebras via coset constructions.Using these objects attached to(V,ω),we shall understand the structure of the vertex operator algebra(V,ω).At first,we define the set Sc(V,ω)of semi-conformal vectors of V, then we prove that Sc(V,ω)is an affine algebraic variety with a partial ordering and an involution map.Corresponding to each semi-conformal vector,there is a unique maximal semi-conformal vertex operator subalgebra containing it.The properties of these subalgebras are invariants of vertex operator algebras.As an example,we describe the corresponding varieties of semi-conformal vectors for Heisenberg vertex operator algebras.As an application,we give two characterizations of Heisenberg vertex operator algebras using the properties of these varieties.CHU Yan Jun LIN Zong Zhu 2017Science China Mathematics2017,60,3:3

16MAGI3 Suppresses Glioma Cell Proliferation via Upregulation of PTEN Expression显示文摘Objective To investigate the role and molecular mechanism of membrane-associated guanylate kinase inverted 3(MAGI3) in glioma cell proliferation. Methods The expression levels of MAGI3 and PTEN were assessed in glioma samples by Western blotting. MAGI3 was stably transfected into C6 glioma cells to obtain C6-MAGI3 cells. Then, the proliferation, the expression levels of MAGI3 and PTEN, and Akt phosphorylation were evaluated in C6 and C6-MAGI3 cells. Xenograft tumor models were established by subcutaneous injection of C6 and C6-MAGI3 cells into nude mice, and the growth rates of xenografts in the mice were compared. The potential role of MAGI3 expression in PI3K/Akt signaling activation was further investigated by examining the correlation between MAGI3 expression and the expression of PI3K/Akt signaling downstream target genes in a glioma dataset using gene set enrichment analysis(GSEA). Results Expression levels of MAGI3 and PTEN were significantly downregulated in gliomas. Overexpression of MAGI3 in the glioma C6 cell line upregulated PTEN protein expression, inhibited the phosphorylation of Akt, and suppressed cell proliferation. MAGI3 overexpression also inhibited the growth of C6 glioma tumor xenografts in nude mice. Analysis based on the GEO database confirmed the negative correlation between activation of PI3K/Akt pathway and MAGI3 mR NA levels in human glioma samples. Conclusion The loss of MAGI3 expression in glioma may enhance the proliferation of glioma cells via downregulation of PTEN expression, leading to the activation of the PI3K/Akt pathway. 20Enhancement of strength-ductility balance of heavy Ti and Al alloyed FeCoNiCr high-entropy alloys via boron doping显示文摘As one of the most effective mechanisms,precipitation-hardening is widely used to strengthen high-entropy alloys.Yet,heavy precipitation-hardened high-entropy alloys usually exhibit serious embrittlement.How to effectively achieve ultra-high strength and maintain reliable ductility remains a challenge.Here,we report a study of doping extremely little boron to meet this target.We found that adding of 30 ppm boron into the heavy Ti and Al alloyed FCC FeCoNiCr high-entropy,(FeCoNiCr)_(88) Ti_(6) Al_(6) HEA(at.%)which is strengthened mainly by both coarse BCC-based(Ni,Co)_(2) TiAl Heusler and fine L12-type FCC-based(Ni,Co)_(3) TiAl precipitates and shows ultrahigh strength but poor ductility,could significantly change the original microstructure and consequently improve mechanical performance,owing to the well-known effect of boron on reducing the energy of grain boundaries.The boron addition can(1)eliminate microcavities formed at Heusler precipitate-matrix interfaces;(2)suppress the formation and segregation of coarse BCC Heusler precipitates;(3)promote the formation of L12 nanoparticles.This changes of microstructure substantially improve the tensile ductility more than by~86%and retain comparable or even better ultimate tensile strength.These findings may provide a simple and costless solution to produce heavy precipitation-strengthened HEAs with ultrahigh strength and prevent accidental brittleness.Yongliang Qi Tinghui Cao Hongxiang Zong Yake Wu Lin He Xiangdong Ding Feng Jiang Shenbao Jin Gang Sha Jun Sun 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,16:2
