| 1 | Highly expressed BMP9/GDF2 in postnatal mouse liver and lungs may account for its pleiotropic effects on stem cell differentiation,angiogenesis,tumor growth and metabolism显示文摘Bone morphogenetic protein 9(BMP9)(or GDF2)was originally identified from fetal mouse liver cDNA libraries.Emerging evidence indicates BMP9 exerts diverse and pleiotropic functions during postnatal development and in maintaining tissue homeostasis.However,the expression landscape of BMP9 signaling during development and/or in adult tissues remains to be analyzed.Here,we conducted a comprehensive analysis of the expression landscape of BMP9 and its signaling mediators in postnatal mice.By analyzing mouse ENCODE transcriptome datasets we found Bmp9 was highly expressed in the liver and detectable in embryonic brain,adult lungs and adult placenta.We next conducted a comprehensive qPCR analysis of RNAs isolated from major mouse tissues/organs at various ages.We found that Bmp9 was highly expressed in the liver and lung tissues of young adult mice,but decreased in older mice.Interestingly,Bmp9 was only expressed at low to modest levels in developing bones.BMP9-associated TGFβ/BMPR type I receptor Alk1 was highly expressed in the adult lungs.Furthermore,the feedback inhibitor Smads Smad6 and Smad7 were widely expressed in mouse postnatal tissues.However,the BMP signaling antagonist noggin was highly expressed in fat and heart in the older age groups,as well as in kidney,liver and lungs in a biphasic fashion.Thus,our findings indicate that the circulating BMP9 produced in liver and lungs may account for its pleiotropic effects on postnatal tissues/organs although possible roles of BMP9 signaling in liver and lungs remain to be fully understood. | Wei Liu Zhongliang Deng Zongyue Zeng Jiaming Fan Yixiao Feng Xi Wang Daigui Cao Bo Zhang Lijuan Yang Bin Liu Mikhail Pakvasa William Wagstaff Xiaoxing Wu Huaxiu Luo Jing Zhang Meng Zhang Fang He Yukun Mao Huiming Ding Yongtao Zhang Changchun Niu Rex C.Haydon Hue H.Luu Jennifer Moriatis Wolf Michael J.Lee Wei Huang Tong-Chuan He Yulong Zou | 2020 | Genes & Diseases2020,7,2: | 9 |

| 3 | Alterations in DNA methylation and genome structure in two rice mutant lines induced by high pressure显示文摘By using high-pressure treatment, two mutant lines were obtained from a genetically stable japonica rice cultivar Bijing38. Genomic DNA of the mutant lines, together with the original line (Bijing38), was either undigested or digested by Hpa II/Msp I, and then subjected to molecular analy-sis using two markers, ISSR and RAPD. Results indicated that changes in the PCR amplification pro-files of both markers are apparent in the two mutant lines compared with the original rice cultivar, suggesting that there had been both sequence changes and DNA methylation modifications in the mutant lines. Southern blot analysis using diverse sequences, including two cellular genes (S2 and S3), a set of retrotransposons (Osr7, Osr36, Tos19 and more), and a MITE transposon family (mPing and Pong), confirmed the results, and indicated that changes in DNA methylation pattern, genomic structure, and possible activation of some transposons indeed occurred in the mutant lines. Moreover, these changes are stably maintained through selfed generations and in different organs. Thus, our results indicate that it is possible to obtain stable mutants in rice by high pressure treatments, and the molecular basis of the mutants may include both genetic and epigenetic changes. | 4 | Study of sedimentary sequence cycles by well-seismic calibration显示文摘In order to solve the problems of the fine division of sedimentary sequence cycles and their change in two-dimensional space as well as lateral extension contrast, we developed a method of wavelet depth-frequency analysis. The single signal and composite signal of different Milankovitch cycles are obtained by numerical simulation. The simulated composite signal can be separated into single signals of a single frequency cycle. We also develop a well-seismic calibration insertion technology which helps to realize the calibration from the spectrum characteristics of a single well to the seismic profile. And then we determine the change and distribution characteristics of spectrum cycles in the two-dimensional space. | 9 | Revision of P-wave Velocity and Thickness of Hydrate Layer in Shenhu Area, South China Sea显示文摘To revise P-wave velocity and thickness of the hydrate layer in the Shenhu area of the South China Sea, acoustic and resistivity logging curves are reanalyzed. The waterlogging phenomenon is found in the shallow sediments of five drilling wells, which causes P-wave velocity to approximate the propagation velocity of sea water(about 1500 m s-1). This also affects the identification of the hydrate layer and results in the underestimate of its thickness. In addition, because there could be about a 5 m thick velocity ramp above or below the hydrate layer as interpreted by acoustic and resistivity logging curves, the recalibrated thickness of this layer is less than the original estimated thickness. The recalibrated P-wave velocity of the hydrate layer is also higher than the original estimated velocity. Distribution of quartz cement in time and space indicates that the more younger the stratigraphy is, the more smaller the amount of quartz cement, and the amount of quartz cement increases with increasing of depth and basin type also is a factor which controls the amount of quartz cement. The sources of silica for quartz cement have many different opinions, but there is one or more dominant sources. Temperature and pH of fluid are major factors which influence the precipitation of quartz cement. | 13 | Pressure effects on the absorption spectra of Na doped in solid Ar显示文摘In this work, the pressure influence on the absorption spectra of Na in solid Ar for various trapping sites is extensively investigated at T = 10 K and in the pressure range from 0 to 2.4 GPa by using Monte Carlo method with a constant pressure ensemble (NPT). For the trapping sites of nv = 1, 2, the absorption spectral widths increase progressively, the absorption peaks and the centroid spectral shift (CSS) tend to have a red shift with pressure increasing, even though there is no local structural symmetry change around Na atom caused by pressure. Highly symmetrical trapping site structure (nv = 1) determines a highly symmetrical triplet absorption feature at a low pressure. With the increase in pressure, the action from the Ar crystal field on the three energy levels of the 3p excited state of Na atom increases, resulting in the overlap of the three peaks. Low symmetrical trapping site structure (nv = 2) yields a low symmetrical triplet absorption pattern in which a large separation between the single?and the double?peaks exists at a low pressure. | 19 | Determination of Impurity Silicon in Anticancer Drug (Ge-132) by Electrothermally Atomised Atomic Absorption Spectrometry with Optical Temperature Control Accessory显示文摘The present paper describes the ashing and atomization processes in silicon analysis by electrothermally atomised atomic absorption spectrometry(EAAAS) with an uncoat-ed graphite tube, a pyrolytically coated graphite tube and a tungsten-coated graphitetube. The sensitivity and linear range of three graphite tubes were compared. By using optical temperature control accessory, the signals are enhanced by a factor of 2 and the germanium interferences in the determination of silicon are eliminated. The effects of time constant and carrier gas flow-rate on the determination of silicon were also tested. The sample can be directly analyzed in its aqueous solution without any pretreatment. The measurements of samples containing 0. 2 μg/mL and 0. 4 μg/mL silicon were run ten times and the variation coefficient is 4. 9% and 2.6%, respectively.
