| 1 | Network pharmacology deciphering multiple mechanisms of volatiles of Wendan granule for treatment of senile dementia显示文摘OBJECTIVE To explore the mechanisms of the volatiles of Wendan granule for the treatment of senile dementia,network pharmacology method integrating absorption,distribution,metab.olism,and excretion(ADME) screening,target fishing,network constructing,pathway analyzing,and correlated diseases prediction was applied.METHODS Twelve small molecular compounds of WDG were selected as the objects from 74 volatiles with the relative abundances above 2%,and their ADME parameters were collected from Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology platform(TCMSP),and then the corresponding targets,genes,pathways and diseases were predicted according to the data provided by TCMSP,DrugBank,Uniport and the Database for Annotation,Visualization and Integrated Discovery(DAVID).The related pathways and correlation analysis were explored by the Kyoto Encyclo.pedia and Genomes(KEGG) database.Finally,the networks of compound-target,target-pathway and pathway-disease of WDG were constructed by Cytoscape software.RESULTS Twelve compounds interacted with 49 targets,of which top three targets were Gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor subunit alpha-1(GABRA1),Prostaglandin G/H synthase 2(PGHS-2) and Sodium-dependent noradrenaline transporter.Interestingly,these targets were highly associated with depression,insomnia and Alzheimer′s disease that mainly corresponded to mental and emotional illnesses.CONCLUSION The integrated network pharmacology method provides precise probe to illuminate the molecular mechanisms of volatiles of WDG for relieving senile dementia related syndromes,which will also facilitate the application of traditional Chinese medicine in modern medicine,as well as follow-up studies such as upgrading the quality stan.dard of clinical medicine and novel drug development. | An-na HU Jun-feng LIU Jun-feng ZAN Ping WANG Qiu-yun YOU Ai-hua TAN | 2018 | 中国药理学与毒理学杂志2018,32,4: | 8 |

| 3 | Gene admixture in ethnic populations in upper part of Silk Road revealed by mtDNA polymorphism显示文摘To evaluate the gene admixture on the current genetic landscape in Gansu Corridor (GC) in China, the upper part of the ancient Silk Road which connects the Eastern and Central Asia, we examined mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) polymorphisms of five ethnic populations in this study. Using PCR-RFLP and sequencing, we analyzed mtDNA haplotypes in 242 unrelated samples in three ethnic populations from the GC region and two ethnic populations from the adjacent Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China. We analyzed the data in comparison with the previously reported data from Eastern, Central and Western Asia and Europe. We found that both European-specific haplogroups and Eastern Asian-specific haplogroups exist in the Gansu Corridor populations, while a modest matrilineal gene flow from Europeans to this region was revealed. The Gansu Corridor populations are genetically located between Eastern Asians and Central Asians, both of who contributed significantly to the maternal lineages of the GC populations. | 4 | A Versatile Method for Uniform Dispersion of Nanocarbons in Metal Matrix Based on Electrostatic Interactions显示文摘Realizing the uniform dispersion of nanocarbons such as carbon nanotube and graphene in metals, is an essential prerequisite to fully exhibit their enhancement effect in mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties of metal matrix composites(MMCs). In this work, we propose an effective method to achieve uniform distribution of nanocarbons in various metal flakes through a slurry-based method. It relies on the electrostatic interactions between the negatively charged nanocarbons and the positively charged metal flakes when mixed in slurry. For case study, flake metal powders(Al, Mg, Ti,Fe, and Cu) were positively charged in aqueous suspension by spontaneous ionization or cationic surface modification. While nanocarbons, given examples as carboxylic multi-walled carbon nanotubes, pristine single-walled carbon nanotube, and carbon nanotube–graphene oxide hybrid were negatively charged by the ionization of oxygen-containing functional groups or anionic surfactant. It was found that through the electrostatic interaction mechanism, all kinds of nanocarbons can be spontaneously and efficiently adsorbed onto the surface of various metal flakes. | 5 | An injectable and self-healing hydrogel with controlled release of curcumin to repair spinal cord injury显示文摘The harsh local micro-environment following spinal cord injury(SCI)remains a great challenge for neural regeneration.Local reconstitution of a favorable micro-environment by biocompatible scaffolds with desirable functions has thus been an area of concern.Herein,a hybrid hydrogel was developed using Fmoc-grafted chitosan(FC)and Fmoc peptide(FI).Dynamic reversibleπ-πstacking interactions of the fluorenyl rings enabled the FC/FI hybrid hydrogel to exhibit excellent injectable and self-healing properties,as characterized by visual appearances and rheological tests.Furthermore,the FC/FI hybrid hydrogel showed a slow and persistent release of curcumin(Cur),which was named as FC/FI-Cur hydrogel.In vitro studies confirmed that with the support of FC/FI-Cur hydrogel,neurite outgrowth was promoted,and Schwann cell(SC)migration away from dorsal root ganglia(DRG)spheres with enhanced myelination was substantiated.The FC/FI-Cur hydrogel well reassembled extracellular matrix at the lesion site of rat spinal cord and exerted outstanding effects in modulating local inflammatory reaction by regulating the phenotypes of infiltrated inflammatory cells.In addition,endogenous SCs were recruited in the FC/FI-Cur graft and participated in the remyelination process of the regenerated nerves.These outcomes favored functional recovery,as evidenced by improved hind limbs movement and enhanced electrophysiological properties.Thus,our study not only advanced the development of multifunctional hydrogels but also provided insights into comprehensive approaches for SCI repair. | Jinghua Luo Xueshuang Shi Liming Li Zan Tan Feng Feng Jun Li Mao Pang Xiaoying Wang Liumin He | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,12: | 4 |
| 6 | Efficient one-pot hydrogenolysis of biomass-derived xylitol into ethylene glycol and 1,2-propylene glycol over Cu–Ni–ZrO_2 catalyst without solid bases显示文摘The directly selective hydrogenolysis of xylitol to ethylene glycol(EG) and 1,2-propylene glycol(1,2-PDO)was performed on Cu–Ni–ZrO_2 catalysts prepared by a co-precipitation method. Upon optimizing the reaction conditions(518 K, 4.0 MPaH_2 and 3 h), 97.0% conversion of xylitol and 63.1% yield of glycols were obtained in water without extra inorganic base. The catalyst still remained stable activity after six cycles and above 80% total selectivity of glycols was obtained when using 20.0% xylitol concentration. XRD, TEM and ICP results indicated that Cu–Ni–ZrO_2 catalysts possess favorable stability. Cu and Ni are beneficial to the cleavage of C–O and C–H bond, respectively. | 7 | Aeolian dust dynamics in the Fergana Valley, Central Asia, since -30 ka inferred from loess deposits显示文摘Knowledge of the interactions among atmospheric dynamics,dust emissions and climate system is essential to understand the physical mechanisms for the dust lifecycle,their role in loess formation as well as the predictions of future dust concentration.However,these issues still remain relatively poorly known in Central Asia(CA).The extensive loess deposits on the CA pediments provide a promising archive to explore atmospheric dust dynamics and climatic conditions in the past and their association with loess formation.This study investigates the granulometric and magnetic properties of a loess section(named Osh section)in the Fergana Valley,which provides a sensitive record of atmospheric dust dynamics since 30 ka based on radiometric(AMS ^(14)C)dating.The frequency-dependent magnetic susceptibility(χfd)and the mean grain size are used to reconstruct the broadscale effective moisture and summer atmospheric dynamics pattern in CA,respectively.The results show that the precession forcing exerts a huge influence on the wind-regime variabilities in CA,but with different physical processes under the impact of the Northern Hemisphere ice sheet(NHIS)before and after 15 ka.The origin of the sedimentation rate variations in the Osh loess is also linked to the NHIS-modulated changes of the atmospheric circulation patterns.Either the strengthened westerlies or the increased surface roughness from higher vegetation cover in loess-deposition areas have significantly accelerated the loess accumulation.As a result,these complicated influence factors of sedimentation rate change in the Osh loess section,especially during the Holocene epoch,may hamper accessibility of the authentic dust emission flux and atmospheric dust concentration in CA. | Yue Li Yougui Song Dimitris G.Kaskaoutis Jinbo Zan Rustam Orozbaev Liangcheng Tan Xiuling Chen | 2021 | Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,5: | 1 |
| 8 | Circulating copeptin level and the clinical prognosis of patients with chronic liver disease显示文摘BACKGROUND The relationship between copeptin and the severity of circulatory dysfunction and systemic stress response in patients with chronic liver disease(CLD)has been established.Nevertheless,the potential of serum copeptin levels to predict the prognosis of CLD patients remains unclear.AIM To conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to investigate the correlation between serum copeptin and transplant-free survival(TFS)in this population.METHODS To achieve the objective of the meta-analysis,PubMed,Embase,the Cochrane Library,and the Web of Science were searched to identify observational studies with longitudinal follow-up.The Cochrane Q test was utilized to assess betweenstudy heterogeneity,and the I2 statistic was estimated.Random-effects models were employed to combine the outcomes,taking into account the potential influence of heterogeneity.RESULTS Ten datasets including 3133 patients were involved.The follow-up durations were 1 to 48 mo(mean:12.5 mo).Overall,it was shown that a high level of serum copeptin was associated with a poor TFS[risk ratio(RR):1.82,95%confidence interval:1.52-2.19,P<0.001;I2=0%].In addition,sensitivity analysis by omitting one dataset at a time showed consistent results(RR:1.73-2.00,P<0.05).Finally,subgroup analyses according to study country,study design,patient diagnosis,cutoff of copeptin,follow-up duration,and study quality score also showed similar results(P for subgroup difference all>0.05).CONCLUSION Patients with CLD who have high serum copeptin concentrations may be associated with a poor clinical prognosis. | Hao-Qian Tan Ming Zhao Zan Huang Yang Liu Han Li Long-Hui Ma Jun-Ying Liu | 2023 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2023,29,31: | 1 |

| 14 | 137例MAID方案-线化疗转移软组织肉瘤的回顾性临床分析(英文)显示文摘Objective:The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy,adverse reaction and survival of MAID protocol as first-line treatment on 137 metastatic soft tissue sarcomas patients.Methods:One hundredand thirty-seven patients with metastatic soft tissue sarcoma were given MAID protocol chemotherapy which consists of ifosfamide at a total dose of 8-10 g/m2 in 4-5 days,adriamycin at a dose of 60 mg/m2 on first day and dacarbazine at a dose of 200 mg/m2/d in 4-5 days.Twenty one days were regarded as a cycle and 2-6 cycles were completed.The median cycle number was 4.Results:Four cases had complete remission(CR)(2.9%),thirteen cases achieved partial remission(PR)(9.5%),eighty-eight cases maintained a stable disease(SD)(64.2%),and thirty-two cases had progressive disease(PD)(23.4%).The overall response rate(RR) was 12.4%,disease control rate(DCR) was 76.6%.The progression-free survival(PFS) was 2-14 months and median PFS was 5.00 ± 1.12 months.The overall survival(OS) was 3-19 months and median OS was 8.00 ± 1.32 months.Three months PFS rate was 56.9%,six months PFS rate was 27.2% and one year PFS rate was 7.8%.Three months OS rate was 100.0%,six months OS rate was 41.5% and one year OS rate was 10.7%.The main adverse reactions were bone marrow supression,nausea/vomiting and alopecia.Other adverse reactions were seldom observed.Conclusion:The effect of MAID protocol as first-line treatment on metastatic soft tissue sarcomas patients was exact,the treatment can control disease progression effectively and the side effects can be tolerable.It was obviously very worthy in clinical use as one of the first-line chemotherapy protocols on advanced soft tissue sarcomas. | Kun Han Yuanjue Sun Jianjun Zhang Lina Tan Shui'er Zheng Zhiyu Wang Hui Zhao Feng Lin Zan Shen Yang Yao | 2012 | The Chinese-German Journal of Clinical Oncology2012,11,2: | 0 |
| 15 | Causal Effect of Genetically Determined Blood Copper Concentrations on Multiple Diseases: A Mendelian Randomization and Phenome-Wide Association Study显示文摘Exposures to copper have become a health concern.We aim to explore the broad clinical effects of blood copper concentrations.A total of 376,346 Caucasian subjects were enrolled.We performed a Mendelian randomization and phenome-wide association study(MR-PheWAS)to evaluate the causal association between copper and a wide range of outcomes in UK Biobank,and we constructed a protein-protein interaction network.We found association between blood copper concentrations and five diseases in the overall population and nine diseases in male.MR analysis implicated a causal role of blood copper in five diseases(overall population),including prostate cancer(OR=0.87,95%CI 0.77-0.98),malignant and unknown neoplasms of the brain and nervous system(OR=0.58,95%CI 0.38-0.89),and hypertension(OR=0.94,95%CI 0.90-0.98),essential hypertension(OR=0.94,95%CI 0.90-0.98)and cancer of brain and nervous system(OR=0.63,95%CI 0.41-0.98).For male,except for dysphagia being newly associated with blood copper(OR=1.39,95%CI 1.18-1.63),other MR results were consistent with the overall population.In addition,the PPI network showed possible relationship between blood copper and four outcomes,namely brain cancer,prostate cancer,hypertension,and dysphagia.Blood copper may have causal association with prostate cancer,malignant and unknown neoplasms of the brain and nervous system,hypertension,and dysphagia.Considering that copper is modifiable,exploring whether regulation of copper levels can be used to optimize health outcomes might have public health importance. | Xiuming Feng Wenjun Yang Lulu Huang Hong Cheng Xiaoting Ge Gaohui Zan Yanli Tan Lili Xiao Chaoqun Liu Xing Chen Zengnan Mo Longman Li Xiaobo Yang | 2022 | Phenomics2022,2,4: | 0 |
