Development of Light Cycle Oil(LCO) Hydrocracking Technology over a Commercial W-Ni Based Catalyst显示文摘Because of its high density and low cetane number, the light cycle oil(LCO) containing heavy aromatics(60%—80%) can hardly be transformed through the conventional hydro-upgrading technology. In this report, a novel LCO hydrocracking technology(FD2G) was proposed for the utilization of LCO to manufacture high value-added products. Through the ingenious combination of hydroprocessing catalyst and the hydrocracking process, the high octane gasoline and the ultra-low sulfur diesel(ULSD) blendstocks were produced simultaneously. The influence of catalyst type, reaction temperature, pressure, respectively, on the research octane number(RON) of produced gasoline was studied in a fixed bed hydrogenation reactor. It indicated that high reaction temperature and medium pressure would favor the production of highoctane gasoline through the conversion of bi-aromatic and tri-aromatic hydrocarbons. The typical results of FD2 G technology on commercial units showed that it could produce clean diesel with a sulfur content of less than 10 μg/g and clean gasoline with a research octane number(RON) of up to 92. It would be contributed to the achievement of the maximum profit of a refinery, the FD2 G technology could provide a higher economic efficiency than the other diesel quality upgrading technology under the current gasoline and diesel price system. | Peng Chong Yang Xuejing Fang Xiangchen Huang Xinlu Cheng Zhenmin Zeng Ronghui Guo Rong | 2015 | China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2015,17,4: | 9
Recent Advances in Monsoon Studies in China显示文摘This review provides a synopsis of the major progress that has been made in monsoon studies in China and to further bridge the gap between the Chinese and international meteorological community. It consists of seven major sections. After the introduction, the second section begins with the global monsoon systems and their seasonal variation, based on some new methods proposed in recent years. Besides, some major intraseasonal features of East Asian monsoon, including the onset of South China Sea summer monsoon are discussed. In the third section, we review the interactions between ENSO and the East Asian monsoon, focusing in particular on the results of Chinese meteorologists that indicate the influence of ENSO on the East Asian summer monsoon(EASM) is obviously different from that on the tropical monsoon. Besides the tropical Pacific, other ocean basins, such as the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean, are also important to the East Asian monsoon, and this topic is discussed in the fourth section. In the fifth section, we address the role of land surface processes in East Asian monsoon. For example, we describe work that has shown more snow cover in spring on the Tibetan Plateau is followed by a weakened EASM and more summer rainfall in the Yangtze River valleys. The sixth section focuses on the influence of atmospheric circulation in the Southern Hemisphere(SH) on EASM, demonstrating how the signal from the SH is likely to provide new clues for the seasonal forecasting of summer rainfall in China. Finally, in the seventh section, we concentrate on the interdecadal variations of EASM. In particular, we look at a significant interdecadal variation that occurred at the end of the 1970 s, and how our understanding of this feature could affect forecasting ability. | XUE Feng ZENG Qingcun HUANG Ronghui LI Chongyin LU Riyu ZHOU Tianjun | 2015 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2015,32,2: | 7

A Biomimetic Model of Fiber-reinforced Composite Materials显示文摘In thjs paper. bamboo fiber has been. on micro scale. investigated as a helical. multi-layered hollow cylinder, the stiffness featu res of bamboo bast fiber were compared with those of a multifilament yarn in traditional fiber-reinforced composite materials, Moreover. a biomimetic model of the reinforce ment of fiber-reinforced composite materials was proposed by imitating the fine structure of bamboo bast fiber. The results show that the comprehensive stiffness properties of the cornplicated fine struc ture of bamboo fiber is superior over those of traditional fiber-reinforced composites. | Shihong LI Ronghui ZHANG Shaoyun FU Xin CHEN and Benlian ZHOU(Institute of Metal Research, Academia Sinica, Shenyang, 110015, China)Qiyun ZENG(Institute of Applied Ecology, Academia Sinica, Shenyang, 110015, China) | 1994 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology1994,10,1: | 0
Clinical utilization of olaparib,a PARP inhibitor,in BRCA1-mutant metastatic acral melanoma显示文摘Acral melanoma(AM)is a rare subtype of cutaneous melanoma linked to poor prognosis, largely due to a lacking of effective targeted therapeutic strategies.Whole-genome sequencing(WGS)data revealed that AM showed a different mutation landscape from cutaneous melanoma.1 BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations appear in about 3%–16%of AMs.2,3 Pharmacologic inhibition of the DNA repair enzyme PARP has been approved by the FDA as monotherapy in patients with deleterious germline BRCA1/2 mutated advanced ovarian cancer, and the usage has been expanded to metastatic breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, and prostate cancer with homologous recombination repair(HRR)gene defects.4 However, whether AM with BRCA mutations is also sensitive to PARP inhibition is unknown. We identified a stageⅣAM patient with a germline BRCA1 frameshift mutation(BRAC1 G1384Nfs∗7)who was resistant to anti-PD1 therapy. Both patient-derived xenograft and cells(PDX/PDC)models from the same AM patient were established.PARP inhibitor olaparib significantly decreased cell proliferation and slowed tumor growth by increasing DNA double-strand breakage in AM cancer cells.Administration of olaparib to the patient achieved stable disease for 3 months. This study provides preclinical and clinical evidence that PARP inhibitors can slow tumor growth in BRCA1-mutant advanced acral melanoma. | Ruixin Jiang Xianbin Liang Ye Tao Ronghui Xia Ming Lei Bin Jiang Robert LJudson-Torres Yanjie Zhang Weizhen Zhang Hanlin Zeng | 2023 | Genes & Diseases2023,10,5: | 0
Mitigating growth-stress tradeoffs via elevated TOR signaling in rice显示文摘Rice production accounts for approximately half of the freshwater resources utilized in agriculture,result-ing in greenhouse gas emissions such as methane(CH4)from flooded paddy fields. To address this chal-lenge,environmentally friendly and cost-effective water-saving techniques have become widely adopted in rice cultivation. However, the implementation of water-saving treatments(WsTs)in paddy-field rice has been associated with a substantial yield loss of up to 50%as well as a reduction in nitrogen use efficiency(NUE).In this study,we discovered that the target of rapamycin(TOR)signaling pathway is compromised in rice under WsT.Polysome profiling-coupled transcriptome sequencing(polysome-seq)analysis unveiled a substantial reduction in global translation in response to WST associated with the downregulation of TOR activity.Molecular, biochemical, and genetic analyses revealed new insights into the impact of the positive TOR-S6K-RPS6 and negative TOR-MAF1 modules on translation repression under WST.Intriguingly, ammonium exhibited a greater ability to alleviate growth constraints under WsT by enhancing TOR signaling, which simultaneously promoted uptake and utilization of ammonium and nitrogen allocation. We further demonstrated that TOR modulates the ammonium transporter AMT1;1 as well as the amino acid permease APP1 and dipeptide transporter NPF7.3 at the translational level through the 5'untranslated region.Collectively, these findings reveal that enhancing TOR signaling could mitigate rice yield penalty due to WST by regulating the processes involved in protein synthesis and NUE.Our study will contribute to the breeding of new rice varieties with increased water and fertilizer utilization efficiency. | Wei Li Jiaqi Liu Zeqi Li Ruiqiang Ye Wenzhen Chen Yuqing Huang Yue Yuan Yi Zhang Huayi Hu Peng Zheng Zhongming Fang Zeng Tao Shiyong Song Ronghui Pan Jian Zhang Jumim Tu Jen Sheen Hao Du | 2024 | Molecular Plant2024,17,2: | 0
