1Urban Water Resource Utilization Efficiency in China显示文摘The efficient use of water resources directly affects environmental, social, and economic development; therefore, it has a significant impact on urban populations. A slacks-based measure for data envelopment analysis(SBM-DEA) has been widely used in energy efficiency and environmental efficiency analyses in recent years. Based on this model, data from 316 cities were examined and a category method was employed involving three different sorting techniques to empirically evaluate the efficiency of urban water resource utilization in China between 2000 and 2012. The overall efficiency(OE) of urban water resource utilization in China was initially low, but has improved over the past decade. The scale efficiency(SE) was higher than the pure technological efficiency(PTE); PTE is a major determining factor of OE, and has had an increasingly significant effect. The efficiency of water resource utilization varied according to the region, urban scale, and economic function. The OE score for the eastern China was higher than for the rest of the region, and the OE score for the western China was higher than for the central China. The OE score for urban water resource utilization has improved with urban expansion, except in the case of small cities. The SE showed an inverted ′U-shaped′ trend with increasing urban expansion. The OE of urban water utilization in comprehensive functional cities was greater than in economic specialization cities, and was greater in heavy industry specialization cities than in other specialization cities. 2Terminal sliding mode control based on super-twisting algorithm显示文摘An improved non-singular terminal sliding mode control based on the super-twisting algorithm is proposed for a class of second-order uncertain nonlinear systems. This method can effectively avoid the singularity problem and obviously reduce the chattering phenomenon. 3Spatial Effect of Mineral Resources Exploitation on Urbanization:A Case Study of Tarim River Basin,Xinjiang,China显示文摘Mineral resources exploitation significantly affects the spatial structure and evolutive trend of urbanization in arid areas.In this study,the spatial autocorrelation method and the spatial computation model were used to investigate the spatial impacts of mineral resources excavation and processing on comprehensive level of urbanization in the Tarim River Basin,Xinjiang,China for the years of 2000,2006 and 2008.The results are as follows:1)There was a spatial correlation of the development of mineral resources industry and the comprehensive level of urbanization in 2006 and 2008,with the spatial concentration trend rising significantly in 2006 and decreasing in 2008.2)The patterns of local spatial concentration of mineral resources industry and of the comprehensive level of urbanization were relatively stable,and the two patterns showed signs of spatial correlationship.The higher was the degree of the concentration of mineral resources industry,the stronger was its impact on the spatial clustering of urbanization.3)In 2000, mineral resources excavation and processing had a significant positive impact on the comprehensive level of urbanization in the region but not in its adjacent regions.However,in 2008,mineral resources excavation and processing significantly raised the comprehensive level of urbanization not only in the region but also in its neighboring regions.This research demonstrates that the development of mineral resources industry can strongly affect the trends and spatial patterns of urbanization.LI Xuemei ZHANG Xiaolei DU Hongru CHU Shaolin 2012Chinese Geographical Science2012,22,5:5
4LIN28 coordinately promotes nucleolar/ribosomal functions and represses the 2C-like transcriptional program in pluripotent stem cells显示文摘LIN28 is an RNA binding protein with important roles in early embryo development,stem cell differentiation/re-programming,tumorigenesis and metabolism.Previous studies have focused mainly on its role in the cytosol where it interacts with Let-7 microRNA precursors or mRNAs,and few have addressed LIN28's role within the nucleus.Here,we show that LIN28 displays dynamic temporal and spatial expression during murine embryo development.Maternal LIN28 expression drops upon exit from the 2-cell stage,and zygotic LIN28 protein is induced at the forming nucleolus during 4-cell to blas-tocyst stage development,to become dominantly expressed in the cytosol after implantation.In cultured pluripotent stem cells(PSCs),loss of LIN28 led to nucleolar stress and activation of a 2-cell/4-cell-like transcriptional program characterized by the expression of endogenous retrovirus genes.Mechanistically,LIN28 binds to small nucleolar RNAs and rRNA to maintain nucleolar integrity,and its loss leads to nucleolar phase separation defects,ribosomal stress and activation of P53 which in turn binds to and activates 2C transcription factor Dux.LIN28 also resides in a complex containing the nucleolar factor Nucleolin(NCL)and the transcrip-tional repressor TRIM28,and LIN28 loss leads to reduced occupancy of the NCL/TRIM28 complex on the Dux and rDNA loci,and thus de-repressed Dux and reduced rRNA expression.Lin28 knockout cells with nucleolar stress are more likely to assume a slowly cycling,translationally inert and anabolically inactive state,which is a part of previously unappreciated 2C-like transcriptional program.These findings elucidate novel roles for nucleolar LIN28 in PSCs,and a new mechanism linking 2C program and nucleolar functions in PSCs and early embryo development.Zhen Sun Hua Yu Jing Zhao Tianyu Tan Hongru Pan Yuqing Zhu Lang Chen Cheng Zhang Li Zhang Anhua Lei Yuyan Xu Xianju Bi Xin Huang Bo Gao Longfei Wang Cristina Correia Ming Chen Qiming Sun Yu Feng Li Shen Hao Wu Jianlong Wang Xiaohua Shen George Q.Daley Hu Li Jin Zhang 2022Protein & Cell2022,13,7:4

6Spatial difference features and organization optimization of cities and towns in Tarim River Basin显示文摘This paper analyzes the urban spatial structure of Tarim River Basin from the perspectives of urbanization, urban density, grading scales and spatial evolution patterns, using geographical theories and methods, such as fractal theory, principle component analysis, urbanization imbalance index, urban scale imbalance indicator, and urban spatial interaction. The results show that the urban spatial structure displays balanced distribution in the overall pattern, while an imbalanced distribution in each region. The development of town pattern tends to be gathering to the central towns in the oasis of Tarim River Basin and a development axis has begun to form along the southern Xinjiang railway. Based on the division of urban hinterland, and the development characteristics of oasis economy, this paper puts forward an urban spatial organization model. This model uses 'breakpoint model' and divides Tarim River Basin into five urban clusters: Korla urban cluster, Kuqa urban cluster, Aksu urban cluster, Kashgar urban cluster and Hotan urban cluster. 9Thermal annealing synthesis of double-shell truncated octahedral Pt-Ni alloys for oxygen reduction reaction of polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells显示文摘Shape-controlled Pt-Ni alloys usually offer an exceptional electrocatalytic activity toward the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)of polymer electrolyte membrane fuel ceils(PEMFCs),whose tricks lie in welldesigned structures and surface morphologies.In this paper,a novel synthesis of truncated octahedral PtNi_(3.5) alloy catalysts that consist of homogeneous Pt-Ni alloy cores enclosed by NiO-Pt double shells through thermally annealing defective heterogeneous PtNi35 alloys is reported.By tracking the evolution of both compositions and morphologies,the outward segregation of both PtOv and NiO are first observed in Pt-Ni alloys.It is speculated that the diffusion of low-coordination atoms results in the formation of an energetically favorable truncated octahedron while the outward segregation of oxides leads to the formation of NiO-Pt double shells.It is very attractive that after gently removing the NiO outer shell,the dealloyed truncated octahedral core-shell structure demonstrates a greatly enhanced ORR activity.The asobtained truncated octahedral Pt_(2.1)Ni core-shell alloy presents a 3.4-folds mass-specific activity of that for unannealed sample,and its activity preserves 45.4%after 30000 potential cycles of accelerated degradation test(ADT).The peak power density of the dealloyed truncated octahedral Pt2jNi core-shell alloy catalyst based membrane electrolyte assembly(MEA)reaches 679.8 mW/cm^(2),increased by 138.4 mW/cm^(2) relative to that based on commercial Pt/C.Xiashuang LUO Yangge GUO Hongru ZHOU Huan REN Shuiyun SHEN Guanghua WEI Junliang ZHANG 2020Frontiers in Energy2020,14,4:2

12Effects of levodopa on dopaminergic neurons and induced dyskinesia A radio-imaging study显示文摘BACKGROUND: Radio-imaging has been used in neurological diagnosis,in particular for extrapyramidal disease.Moreover,it has been extensively utilized for early diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease (PD) patients and in animal studies.However,it has rarely been utilized to assess drug-induced side effects in PD.OBJECTIVE: To investigate changes in dopamine transporter expression in a rat model of PD through the use of radio-imaging taking 99mTc-TRODAT-1 as an imaging agent,and to explore the effect of levodopa (L-dopa) on dopaminergic neurons and the possible mechanisms of dyskinesia induction.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING: A randomized,controlled,animal study was performed at the Laboratory of Department of Nuclear Medicine,Soochow University from April 2006 to June 2007.MATERIALS: 6-hydroxydopamine was purchased from Sigma,USA and L-dopa was purchased from Shanghai Fuda Pharmaceutical,China.99mTcO4-fresh elutriant was provided by the Department of Nuclear Medicine,First Hospital Affiliated to Soochow University.TRODAT-1 image kit was provided by Jiangsu Atomic Energy Research Establishment,China.The SN-695B radioimmunoassay gamma counter was purchased from Shanghai Hesuo Rihuan Photoelectric Instrument,China.The AZ-CA256eZ-Scope portable γ camera was purchased from Anzai Medical,Japan.METHODS: A total of 34 healthy,male,Sprague Dawley rats were selected.Thirty were used to establish a PD model by injecting 6-hydroxydopamine into the right medial forebrain bundle,and four were injected with normal saline and served as the sham-surgery group.At the end of 4 weeks,21 successful PD models were selected and randomly assigned to the L-dopa (n = 15,20 mg/kg per day),model (n = 6,normal saline),and sham-surgery (n = 4,no treatment) groups.After 1 month of treatment,involuntary movement was evaluated twice weekly in each rat.A total of 0.2 mL 99mTc-TRODAT-1 was injected into the tail vein 2 days following drug termination,and images of dopamine transporters were acquired 2 hours later.The rats were sacrificed and the ratios of specific radioactivity uptake were calculated.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Manifestations of abnormal involuntary movement (AIM) were observed and total AIM scores were calculated.Images of dopamine transporters were acquired using an eZ-Scope portable γ camera,and radioactive γ quantification of 99mTc-TRODAT-1 in the rat brains was assayed.The ratios of the left and right corpora striata were determined.The number and function of dopamine transporters was evaluated according to specific radioactivity uptake ratio (R) from the left and right corpora striata.RESULTS: Of 15 PD rats,nine exhibited AIM following L-dopa treatment: five scored > 20,i.e.,severe grade,four scored 8–16,mild grade,and the remaining exhibited normal behavior.There were no differences in specific radioactivity uptake of dopamine transporter between the left and right corpora striata in the sham-surgery rats,and the images were clear and symmetrically distributed.Specific radioactivity uptake of the normal side (left) was significantly greater than the lesioned side (right) in the model group rats (P < 0.01),and the R value was significantly increased compared with the sham-surgery group (P < 0.01).The radio-ligand accumulation in the right corpus striatum was sparse.In the L-dopa group,specific radioactivity uptake was significantly decreased in the lesioned (right) side of the AIM rats,and the R value was increased compared with the model group (P < 0.05).The amount of radio-ligand in the right corpus striatum was diminished.The R value was significantly reduced in the non-AIM rats compared with the AIM rats (P < 0.05),and specific radioactivity uptake was significantly increased in the lesioned (right) side compared with the normal side (P < 0.05).Moreover,radio-ligand accumulation was observed in the right corpus striatum,and differences in radio-ligand accumulation between the two sides were reduced.CONCLUSION: Following L-dopa treatment,the number and function of dopamine transporter in some PD rats were reduced.L-dopa was shown to be toxic to dopaminergic neurons and induced dyskinesia.Xiuying Cai Yan Kong Hongru Zhao Bin Zhang Chunfeng Liu 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,2:1

20Event-based performance guaranteed tracking control for constrained nonlinear system via adaptive dynamic programming method显示文摘An optimal tracking control problem for a class of nonlinear systems with guaranteed performance and asymmetric input constraints is discussed in this paper.The control policy is implemented by adaptive dynamic programming(ADP)algorithm under two event-based triggering mechanisms.It is often challenging to design an optimal control law due to the system deviation caused by asymmetric input constraints.First,a prescribed performance control technique is employed to guarantee the tracking errors within predetermined boundaries.Subsequently,considering the asymmetric input constraints,a discounted non-quadratic cost function is introduced.Moreover,in order to reduce controller updates,an event-triggered control law is developed for ADP algorithm.After that,to further simplify the complexity of controller design,this work is extended to a self-triggered case for relaxing the need for continuous signal monitoring by hardware devices.By employing the Lyapunov method,the uniform ultimate boundedness of all signals is proved to be guaranteed.Finally,a simulation example on a mass–spring–damper system subject to asymmetric input constraints is provided to validate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.Xingyi Zhang Zijie Guo Hongru Ren Hongyi Li 2023Journal of Automation and Intelligence2023,2,4:0
