1Climate changes in East China since the Late-glacial inferred from high-resolution mountain peat humification records显示文摘High-resolution peat humification records were obtained from Dajiuhu of the Shennongjia Mountains and Qianmutian of the Tianmu Mountains to study climate changes in East China.The analyses of pollen,organic matters,TOC,and Rb/Sr indicate a high degree of peat humification and thus strong decomposition of organic matter when climate was dry.Conversely,when climate was humid,the degree of humification is low because peat was preserved in a waterlogged condition.Peat humification from Dajiuhu occurred not only during the Younger Dryas(about 11.4-12.6 cal ka BP),the Blling-Allerd Warm Period(12.6-15.2 cal ka BP),and the Oldest Dryas(about 15.2-16.0 cal ka BP),but also during the early Holocene(about 11.4-9.4 cal ka BP),the 8.2 cal ka BP cold event,and the Holocene Optimum(about 7.0-4.2 cal ka BP).Both peat humification records since nearly 5 ka BP are consistent,showing that mountain peatland has synchronous responses to the East Asia monsoon-induced precipitation.The LOI data confirm the above observation.The monsoon precipitation since nearly 5 ka BP recorded in these two peat profiles can be divided into three phases.During 4.9-3.5 ka BP,precipitation amount was high but fluctuated greatly.During 3.5-0.9 ka BP,precipitation amount was low.During 0.9-0 ka BP,degree of humification reduced gradually,indicating the increase of monsoon precipitation.Contrast to other high-resolution records from East China monsoon region shows that the monsoon precipitation records of the two peat profiles since nearly 16 ka BP are controlled by a common forcing mechanism of summer solar radicalization in the Northern Hemisphere.MA ChunMei ZHU Cheng ZHENG ChaoGui YIN Qian ZHAO ZhiPing 2009Science China Earth Sciences2009,52,1:22
2High-resolution geochemistry records of climate changes since late-glacial from Dajiuhu peat in Shennongjia Mountains,Central China显示文摘A peat core with depths of 297 cm was obtained from the Dajiuhu Basin(31°29′27″N,109°59′45″E,1760 m)in Hubei Province,Central China.10 AMS ages provide a time control and reveal that this core spans the past about 16.0 kaBP(calibrated age)(1 4C age:13.3 kaBP).Multi-proxy indexes analysis of geochemistry shows the following character of climate and environmental changes since about 16 kaBP:(1) The climate during the late-glacial period was cold and wet as a whole,but fluctuated continually.11.4- 12.6 cal.kaBP,12.6-15.2 cal.kaBP and 15.2-16 kaBP were corresponding respectively to the Younger Drays,Bφlling-Allerφd Warm Period and the Oldest Drays.(2)Inheriting the some climate characteristics of the late-glacial,the climate during the early-Holocene was wet and temperature increased gradually,during which an obvious dry event around 10.6 cal.kaB appeared.(3)The climate during the mid-Holocene was genarally warm and wet.During 9.2-7.5 kaBP,temperature increased gradually, precipitation was less comparatively and the 8.2 kaBP cold event which might be representative in the globe was reflected markedly.Then,multi-proxy records were relatively stable during 6.7-4.2 kaBP, which shows the best water and thermal condition in the Holocene Optimum.(4)Around 4.2 kaBP,the climate and environment transform from warm and wet to cool and dry,which may result in the collapse of the Neolithic Culture and midwifery the civilization of Xia Dynasty in this region.After 0.9 kaBP,the climate turned cool and wet.Climate and environmental changes archived in Dajiuhu peat respond to the global changes since the late-glacial period and can be contrasted to the changes recorded in other high-resolution archives from the East Asia Monsoon region,which take on the variety model that the monsoon strengthened abruptly after the late-glacial,was strong during the early Holocene,subse- quently declined and became weak after the middle Holocene with dry climate.According to our analysis,the driving mechanism should be the response of solar radiation changes in the East Asia Monsoon region at middle latitudes.MA ChunMei ZHU Cheng ZHENG ChaoGui WU ChunLin GUAN Yong ZHAO ZhiPing HUANG LinYan HUANG Run 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,S1:19
3Effect of deformation and cooling rate on the transformation behavior and microstructure of X70 steels显示文摘The effects of the deformation in the non-recrystallization region of austenite and the cooling rate on the transformation behavior and microstructure of low-carbon low-alloy steel for pipeline application were studied on the thermal-mechanical simulator Gleeble-1500. It was shown that an increase in deformation amount can greatly increase the nucleation site of ferrite when deformed in the non-recrystallization region of austenite, and an increase in nucleation ratio can greatly refine grains. When the cooling rate is accelerated, the driving force of nucleation is increased and the nucleation rate also improves. Ultra-refine grains can be obtained by controlled rolling. The high density of ferrite nucleus, which forms along the austenite grain boundary, twin interface, and deforma- tion band are introduced in the matrix of austenite by the control of hot rolling, after which the microstructure can be refined. It was found that the acicular ferrite has a very fine sub-structure, high dislocation density, and a thin slab with ultra-fine grains. 4Counteraction of ABA-Mediated Inhibition of Seed Germination and Seedling Establishment by ABA Signaling Terminator in Arabidopsis显示文摘Seed germination and seedling establishment are important for the reproductive success of plants,but seeds and seedlings typically encounter constantly changing environmental conditions.By inhibiting seed germination and post-germinative growth through the PYR1/PYL/RCAR ABA receptors and PP2C co-receptors,the phytohormone abscisic acid(ABA)prevents premature germination and seedling growth under unfavorable conditions.However,little is known about how the ABA-mediated inhibition of seed germination and seedling establishment is thwarted.Here,we report that ABA Signaling Terminator(ABT),a WD40 protein,efficiently switches off ABA signaling and is critical for seed germination and seedling establishment.ABT is induced by ABA in a PYR1/PYL/RCAR-PP2C-dependent manner.Overexpression of ABT promotes seed germination and seedling greening in the presence of ABA,whereas knockout of ABT has the opposite effect.We found that ABT interacts with the PYR1/PYL/RCAR and PP2C proteins,interferes with the interaction between PYR1/PYL4 and ABI1/ABI2,and hampers the inhibition of ABI1/ABI2 by ABA-bound PYR1/PYL4,thereby terminating ABA signaling.Taken together,our results reveal a core mechanism of ABA signaling termination that is critical for seed germination and seedling establishment in Arabidopsis.Zhijuan Wang Ziyin Ren Chunhong Cheng Tao Wang Hongtao Ji Yang Zhao Zhiping Deng Liya Zhi Jingjing Lu Xinying Wu Shimin Xu Mengmeng Cao Hongtao Zhao Liu Liu Jiankang Zhu Xia Li 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,9:10
5Review of Chinese atmospheric science research over the past 70 years: Climate and climate change显示文摘Climate and climate change have always been a research focus of atmospheric sciences. This paper summaries research efforts, achievements and international contributions of the Chinese scientific community on climate and climate change over the past 70 years. The review is based on papers published officially in national or international scientific journals,and is organized to cover six aspects:(1) general climate studies;(2) impact of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau;(3) impact of the East Asian monsoon;(4) influences of teleconnection oscillation and westerlies;(5) climate dynamics and development of climate models;and(6) climate change. 6A validated UPLC–MS/MS method for simultaneous determination of imatinib, dasatinib and nilotinib in human plasma显示文摘sensitive, rapid, simple and economical ultra-performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometric method(UPLC–MS/MS) was developed and validated for simultaneous determination of imatinib,dasatinib and nilotinib in human plasma using gliquidone as internal standard(IS). Liquid-liquid extraction method with ethyl acetate was used for sample pre-treatment. The separation was performed on an Xtimate Phenyl column using isocratic mobile phase consisting of A(aqueous phase: 0.15% formic acid and 0.05% ammonium acetate) and B(organic phase: acetonitrile)(A:B=40:60, v/v). The flow rate was 0.25 mL/min and the total run time was 6 min. The multiple reaction monitoring(MRM) transitions, m/z 494.5→394.5 for imatinib, 488.7→401.5 for dasatinib, 530.7→289.5 for nilotinib and 528.5→403.4 for IS, were chosen to achieve high selectivity in the simultaneous analyses. The method exhibited great improvement in sensitivity and good linearity over the concentration range of 2.6–5250.0 ng/mL for imatinib, 2.0–490.0 ng/mL for dasatinib, and 2.4–4700.0 ng/mL for nilotinib. The method showed acceptable results on sensitivity, specificity,recovery, precision, accuracy and stability tests. This UPLC–MS/MS assay was successfully used for human plasma samples analysis and no significant differences were found in imatinib steady-state trough concentrations among the SLC22A5-1889T > C or SLCO1B3 699G > A genotypes(P > 0.05). 7Leachate treatment using a demonstration aged refuse biofilter显示文摘Approximately 7000 m3 of aged refuse(AR) with a placement of over eight years was excavated from Shanghai Refuse Landfill,the largest landfill in China,and used for the construction of a two-stage bioreactor(AR biofilter) media for the biological treatment of 100 m3 of refuse landfill leachate.It was found that over 64% of COD,96.9%-99.8% of NH4+-N,and 95.8%-99.8% of BOD5 could be removed by the AR biofilter,when the leachate with initial COD,BOD5,and NH4+-N concentrations were 986-4128 mg/L,264-959 mg/L,and 538-1583 mg/L,respectively.The corresponding concentrations in the effluent were reduced to below 300-400 mg/L,2-12 mg/L,and 10-20 mg/L,respectively.The effluent was clear and pale yellow with suspended solid below 150 mg/L and color below 150 Pt/Co degree.Meanwhile,the total nitrogen removal was only 49%-63%,indicating a relative poor denitrification capacity of AR biofilter.The effluent pH was neutral and the population of Escherichia coli was less than 10-1 CFU/mL.Hence,it was considered that the demonstration project can work well for the effective treatment of leachate.Hongjiang Li Yingying Gu Youcai Zhao Zhiping Wen 2010Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,7:6
8Tribological and anti-corrosion performance of epoxy resin composite coatings reinforced with differently sized cubic boron nitride(CBN)particles显示文摘A series of high solid content(30 wt%)epoxy resin(EP)composite coatings reinforced with differently sized cubic boron nitride(CBN)particles were fabricated successfully on 304 L stainless steel.Polydopamine(PDA)was used to improve the dispersibility of CBN particles in EP.The structural and morphological features of the CBN particles and the composite coatings were characterized by Raman spectroscopy,scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).Moreover,a UMT-3 tribometer and surface profiler were used to investigate the tribological behaviors of the as-prepared composite coatings.Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)and Tafel analysis were used to investigate the coatings'anti-corrosion performance.The results demonstrated that the CBN fillers could effectively enhance the tribological and anti-corrosion properties of the EP composite coatings.In addition,when the additive proportion of the microsized(5μm)and nanosized(550 nm)CBN particles was 1:1,the tribological property of the EP composite coatings was optimal for dry sliding,which was attributed to the load carrying capability of the microsized CBN particles and the toughening effect of the nanosized CBN particles.However,when the additive proportion of the microsized and nanosized CBN particles was 2:1,the tribology and corrosion resistance performance were optimal in seawater conditions.We ascribed this to the load-carrying capacity of the microparticles,which played a more important role under the seawater lubrication condition,and the more compact structure,which improved the electrolyte barrier ability for the composite coatings.Zhiping HUANG Wenjie ZHAO Wenchao ZHAO Xiaojing CI Wentao LI 2021Friction2021,9,1:5

11Osteogenic and antibacterial dual functions of a novel levofloxacin loaded mesoporous silica microspheres/nano-hydroxyapatite/ polyurethane composite scaffold显示文摘Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU has been proved to be a novel scaffold material to treat bone defect caused by chronic osteomyelitis.We have previously identified that this material can effectively treat chronic osteomyelitis caused by Staphylococcus aureus in vivo.However,the potential mechanisms of antibacterial and osteogenic induction properties remain unclear.Thus,for osteogenesis property,immunohistochemistry,PCR,and Western blot were performed to detect the expression of osteogenic markers.Furthermore,flow cytometry and TUNEL were applied to analyze MC3T3-E1 proliferation and apoptosis.For antibacterial property,the material was co-cultivated with bacteria,bacterial colony forming units was counted and the release time of the effective levofloxacin was assayed by agar disc-diffusion test.Moreover,scanning electron microscope was applied to observe adhesion of bacteria.In terms of osteogenic induction,we found BMSCs adherently grew more prominently on Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU.Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU also enhanced the expression of osteogenic markers including OCN and COL1a1,as well as effectively promoted the transition from G1 phase to G2 phase.Furthermore,Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU could reduce apoptosis of MC3T3-E1.Besides,both Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU and n-HA/PU materials could inhibit bacterial colonies,while Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU possessed a stronger antibacterial activities,and lower bacterial adhesion than n-HA/PU.These results illustrated that Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU composite scaffold possess favorable compatibility in vitro,which induce osteogenic differentiation of MSCs,promote proliferation and differentiation of MC3T3-E1,and inhibit apoptosis.Moreover,clear in vitro antibacterial effect of Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU was also observed.In summary,this study replenishes the potential of Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU composite scaffold possess dual functions of anti-infection and enhanced osteogenesis for future clinical application.Zhiping Kuang Guangming Dai Ruijie Wan Dongli Zhang Chen Zhao Cheng Chen Jidong Li Hongchen Gu Wei Huang 2021Genes & Diseases2021,8,2:4

13Preparation of high concentration polyaluminum chloride by chemical synthesis-membrane distillation method with self-made hollow fiber membrane显示文摘A method of direct contact membrane distillation (DCMD) with a self-made hollow polyvinylidene fluoride membrane was applied to prepare high concentration polyaluminum chloride (PACl) with high Alb content based on chemical synthesis. The permeate flux and Al species distribution were investigated. The experimental results showed that the permeate flux decreased from 14 to 6 kg/(m2·hr) at the end of the DCMD process, which can be mainly attributed to the formation of NaCl deposits on the membrane surface. The Alb content decreased slightly, only from 86.3% to 84.4%, when the DCMD experiment finished, correspondingly the Alc content increased slightly from 7.2% to 8.5%, and the Ala content remained at 7% during the whole DCMD process. 18Organic–inorganic hybrid perovskite scintillators for mixed field radiation detection显示文摘Sensitive and fast detection of neutrons and gamma rays is vital for homeland security,high-energy physics,and proton therapy.Fast-neutron detectors rely on light organic scintillators,andγ-ray detectors use heavy inorganic scintillators and semiconductors.Efficient mixed-field detection using a single material is highly challenging due to their contradictory requirements.Here we report hybrid perovskites(C_(8)H_(12)N)_(2)Pb(Br_(0.95)Cl_(0.05))_(4)that combine light organic cations and heavy inorganic skeletons at a molecular level to achieve unprecedented performance for mixed-field radiation detection.High neutron absorption due to a high density of hydrogen,strong radiative recombination within the highly confined[PbX_(6)]^(4-)layer,and sub-nanometer distance between absorption sites and radiative centers,enable a light yield of 41000 photons/MeV,detection pulse width of 2.97 ns and extraordinary linearity response toward both fast neutrons andγ-rays,outperforming commonly used fast-neutron scintillators.Neutron energy spectrum,time-of-flight based fast-neutron/γ-ray discrimination and neutron yield monitoring were all successfully achieved using(C_(8)H_(12)N)_(2)Pb(Br_(0.95)Cl_(0.05))_(4)detectors.We further demonstrate the monitoring of reaction kinetics and total power of a nuclear fusion reaction.We envision that molecular hybridized scintillators open a new avenue for mixed-field radiation detection and imaging.Mengling Xia Guangda Niu Linyue Liu Runlong Gao Tong Jin Pengying Wan Weicheng Pan Xianpeng Zhang Zuoxiang Xie Sam Teale Zenghua Cai Jiajun Luo Shan Zhao Haodi Wu Shiyou Chen Zhiping Zheng Qingguo Xie Xiaoping Ouyang Edward HSargent Jiang Tang 2022InfoMat2022,4,9:2

20Optimization of Fermentation Process for the Production of Bacteriocins from Lactic Acid Bacteria显示文摘[Objective]This study aimed to improve the yield of bacteriocins from lactic acid bacteria by optimizing the fermentation process for production of bacteriocins from lactic acid bacteria.[Method]By single-factor analysis,fermentation temperature,seed age,inoculation volume,fermentation duration and fermentation media p H were optimized to determine the best fermentation process.The inhibitory zone of bacteriocins from lactic acid bacteria was analyzed with oxford cup method,based on which the fermentation process was evaluated.[Result]The optimal fermentation process was optimized:fermentation temperature 37℃,seed age 14 h,inoculation volume 2%,fermentation duration 48 h,fermentation media p H 5.0.[Conclusion]Under the optimized fermentation conditions,the yield of bacteriocins from lactic acid bacteria was improved significantly.Zhiping ZHAO Li ZHANG Yanrong REN Xia ZHANG Xin NIE 2015Agricultural Biotechnology2015,4,2:2
