1Ethylene Emission as a Potential Indicator of Fuji Apple Flavor Quality Evaluation Under Low Temperature显示文摘Fuji apple(Malus×domestica Borkh.)is a popular fruit cultivar and occupies an important position in the fruit market due to its excellent flavor and storage quality.Ethylene emission can induce respiration,which would reduce postharvest quality and increase storage losses.In order to maintain fruit quality and extend shelf life,apples are usually stored in a low-temperature environment after harvest to reduce the formation of ethylene.Volatile aroma components are regarded as one of the most important aspects of flavor quality and a key factor for apple quality grading and customer satisfaction.Ethylene emission and its relationship with volatile aromas during low temperature,however,have not been determined.In this study,the dynamic changes of volatile aroma compounds of Fuji apples stored at 4°C were detected and analyzed for 42 days.The variation of ethylene released from Fuji apple was studied correspondingly.The results showed that ethyl butyrate,ethyl caproate,ethyl 2-methylbutyrate and 2-methylbutyl acetate were the main aroma components of Fuji apple.The change in ethylene emission and the normalized peak area of volatile aroma compounds exhibited a similar tendency that increased significantly from the 3rd day to the peak on the 14th day and then decreased;there was a positive linear correlation between them with a correlation coefficient of 0.79(P<0.05).Therefore,ethylene release can be used as a potential indicator for evaluation of volatile aroma compounds in apples.Using ethylene emission as an indicator could reduce the difficulty and complexity of volatile aroma evaluation,which could be a new non-destructive inspection choice for apple flavor quality assessment.Weiyan Qi Haijing Wang Zhen Zhou Peng Yang Wenbin Wu Zhemin Li Xian Li 2020Horticultural Plant Journal2020,6,4:18
2Depth of tumor invasion and tumor-occupied portions of stomach are predictive factors of intra-abdominal metastasis显示文摘Objective:Diagnostic laparoscopy is recommended for the pretherapeutic staging of gastric cancer to detect any unexpected or unconfirmed intra-abdominal metastasis.The aim of this study was to evaluate the role and indications of diagnostic laparoscopy in the detection of intra-abdominal metastasis.Methods:Standard diagnostic laparoscopy with peritoneal cytology examination was performed prospectively on patients who were clinically diagnosed with primary local advanced gastric cancer(c T≥2M0).We calculated the rate of intra-abdominal metastases identified by diagnostic laparoscopy,and examined the relationship between peritoneal dissemination(P)and cytology results(CY).Split-sample method was applied to find clinical risk factors for intra-abdominal metastasis.Multivariate logistic regression analysis and receiver-operator characteristic(ROC)analysis were performed in training set to find out risk factors of intra-abdominal metastasis,and then validate it in testing set.Results:Out of 249 c M0 patients,51(20.5%)patients with intra-abdominal metastasis were identified by diagnostic laparoscopy,including 20(8.0%)P1CY1,17(6.8%)P0CY1 and 14(5.6%)P1CY0 patients.In the training set,multivariate logistic regression analysis and ROC analysis showed that the depth of tumor invasion on computer tomography(CT)scan≥21 mm and tumor-occupied≥2 portions of stomach are predictive factors of metastasis.In the testing set,when diagnostic laparoscopy was performed on patients who had one or two of these risk factors,the sensitivity and positive predictive value for detecting intra-abdominal metastasis were 90.0%and32.1%,respectively.Conclusions:According to our results,depth of tumor invasion and tumor-occupied portions of stomach are predictive factors of intra-abdominal metastasis.Ziyu Li Zhemin Li Shuqin Jia Zhaode Bu Lianhai Zhang Xiaojiang Wu Shuangxi Li Fei Shan Xin Ji Jiafu Ji 2017Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,2:14
3Multimetallic AuPd@Pd@Pt core-interlayer-shell icosahedral electrocatalysts for highly efficient oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘Incorporating Pt with core metals into Pt-based core-shell catalysts is regarded as a promising strategy to substantially enhance the catalytic properties towards oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) in fuel cells due to the synergetic effect between distinct metals. In this wok, ultrathin Pt skins with two atomic layers were epitaxially coated on as-prepared icosahedral Au_50Pd_50, Au_60Pd_40 and Au_66Pd_34 nanocrystal seeds,which are constructed with alloyed cores and Pd shells with different thickness. Through electron microscopic characterizations, Pd interlayers with tunable thickness of 3, 6, and 12 atomic layers can be found in the Au_66Pd_34@Pt, Au_60 Pd_40@Pt and Au_50Pd_50@Pt icosahedra, respectively. These icosahedral Au Pd@Pd@Pt nanocrystals show substantially enhanced activities and durabilities in electrocatalytic measurements towards ORR compared to Au_75Pd_25@Pt icosahedra without Pd interlayer and commercial Pt/C catalysts. 7Alkali-metal hexamethyldisilazide initiated polymerization on alpha-amino acid N-substituted N-carboxyanhydrides for facile polypeptoid synthesis显示文摘Polypeptoids have been explored as mimics of polypeptides,owing to polypeptoids'superior stability upon proteolysis.Polypeptoids can be synthesized from one-pot ring-opening polymerization of amino acid N-substituted N-carboxyanhydrides(NNCAs).However,the speed of polymerization of NNCAs can be very slow,especially for NNCAs bearing a bulky N-substitution group.This hindered the exploration on polypeptoids with more diverse structures and functions.Therefore,it is in great need to develop advanced strategies that can accelerate the polymerization on inactive NNCAs.Hereby,we report that lithium/sodium/potassium hexamethyldisilazide(Li/Na/KHMDS)initiates a substantially faster polymerization on NNCAs than do commonly used amine initiators,especially for NNCAs with bulky N-substitution group.This fast NNCA polymerization will increase the structure diversity and application of polypeptoids as synthetic mimics of polypeptides.Yueming Wu Min Zhou Kang Chen Sheng Chen Ximian Xiao Zhemin Ji Jingcheng Zou Runhui Liu 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,5:1

13Controllable Polymerization of N-Substituted β-Alanine N-Thiocarboxyanhydrides for Convenient Synthesis of Functional Poly(β-peptoid)s显示文摘Poly(β-peptoid)is a class of polypeptide mimics that possesses excellent biocompatibility and resistance to proteolysis.However,the synthesis of poly(β-peptoid)s with functionalities is a long-standing challenge that greatly hinders the functional study and application of poly(β-peptoid)s.We report a controllable and easy synthesis of poly(β-peptoid)s bearing diverse functionalities via the ring-opening polymerization on N-substitutedβ-alanine N-thiocarboxyanhydrides(β-NNTAs).The polymerization can be carried out in openvesselsundermildconditions usingaminesas the initiators to provide poly(β-peptoid)s with targeted molecular weights,narrow dispersities,and diverse functionalities in the side chains and termini.Theβ-NNTAs polymerization is even compatible with initiators bearing unprotected hydroxyl groups.The amphiphilic/cationic poly(β-peptoid)s exhibit a broad spectrum and potent antibacterial activities against multidrug-resistant bacteria.In addition,the highly favored stability ofβ-NNTAmonomers for purification and storage highlights the advantages of thisβ-NNTA polymerization strategy for poly(β-peptoid)s synthesis,functional study,and application as a synthetic mimic of polypeptides.Ximian Xiao Min Zhou Zihao Cong Longqiang Liu Jingcheng Zou Zhemin Ji Ruxin Cui Yueming Wu Haodong Zhang Sheng Chen Maoquan Li Runhui Liu 2023CCS Chemistry2023,5,4:0
