| 2 | Implementation of regional Acute Stroke Care Map increases thrombolysis rates for acute ischaemic stroke in Chinese urban area in only 3 months显示文摘Background The rate of intravenous thrombolysis for acute ischaemic stroke remains low in China.We investigated whether the implementation of a citywide Acute Stroke Care Map(ASCaM)is associated with an improvement of acute stroke care quality in a Chinese urban area.Methods The ASCaM comprises 10 improvement strategies and has been implemented through a network consisting of 20 tertiary hospitals.We identified 7827 patients with ischaemic stroke admitted from April to October 2017,and 506 patients underwent thrombolysis were finally included for analysis.Results Compared with‘pre-ASCaM period’,we observed an increased rate of administration of tissue plasminogen activator within 4.5 hours(65.4% vs 54.5%;adjusted OR,1.724;95% CI 1.21 to 2.45;p=0.003)during‘ASCaM period’.In multivariate analysis models,‘ASCaM period’was associated with a significant reduction in onset-to door time(114.1±55.7 vs 135.7±58.4 min,p=0.0002)and onset-to needle time(ONT)(169.2±58.1 vs 195.6±59.3 min,p<0.0001).Yet no change was found in door-to needle time.Clinical outcomes such as symptomatic intracranial haemorrhage,favourable functional outcome(modified Rankin Scale≤2)and in-hospital mortality remained unchanged.Conclusion The implementation of ASCaM was significantly associated with increased rates of intravenous thrombolysis and shorter ONT.The ASCaM may,in proof-of principle,serve as a model to reduce treatment delay and increase thrombolysis rates in Chinese urban areas and possibly other highly populated Asian regions. | Yi Sui Jianfeng Luo Chunyao Dong Liqiang Zheng Weijin Zhao Yao Zhang Ying Xian Huaguang Zheng Bernard Yan Mark Parsons Li Ren Ying Xiao Haoyue Zhu Lijie Ren Qi Fang Yi Yang Weidong Liu Bing Xu | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,1: | 4 |

| 5 | Shape-induced phase transition of vortex domain structures in ferroelectric nanodots and their controllability by electrical and mechanical loads显示文摘Shape-induced phase transition of vortex domain structures(VDSs)in BaTiO_3(BT)nanodots under open circuit boundary condition have been investigated using an effective Hamiltonian method.Our calculation indicates the tetragonal VDS missing in cubic BT nanodots can be induced by varying the shape of a nanodot from cube to platelet.Interestingly,a novel VDS is found in BT nanoplatelets in our simulations.Further investigation shows that it is a result of compromise between the ground state and the symmetry of the shape of the nanodot.Furthermore,based on the novel VDS,routes of controlling VDSs governed by homogeneous electric field and uniform stress are discussed.In particular,our results show the possibility of designing multi-states devices based on a single VDS. | Jianyi Liu Weijin Chen Yue Zheng | 2017 | Theoretical & Applied Mechanics Letters2017,7,2: | 1 |
| 6 | SARS-CoV-2 spike-specific TFH cells exhibit unique responses in infected and vaccinated individuals显示文摘Long-term humoral immunity to SARS-CoV-2 is essential for preventing reinfection. The production of neutralizing antibody (nAb)and B cell differentiation are tightly regulated by T follicular help (T_(FH)) cells. However, the longevity and functional role of T_(FH) cellsubsets in COVID-19 convalescents and vaccine recipients remain poorly defined. Here, we show that SARS-CoV-2 infection andinactivated vaccine elicited both spike-specific CXCR3^(+) T_(FH) cell and CXCR3^(-) T_(FH) cell responses, which showed distinct responsepatterns. Spike- specific CXCR3^(+) T_(FH) cells exhibit a dominant and more durable response than CXCR3^(-) T_(FH) cells that positivelycorrelated with antibody responses. A third booster dose preferentially expands the spike-specific CXCR3^(+) T_(FH) cell subset inducedby two doses of inactivated vaccine, contributing to antibody maturation and potency. Functionally, spike-specific CXCR3^(+) T_(FH) cellshave a greater ability to induce spike-specific antibody secreting cells (ASCs) differentiation compared to spike-specific CXCR3^(-) T_(FH)cells. In conclusion, the persistent and functional role of spike-specific CXCR3^(+) T_(FH) cells following SARS-CoV-2 infection andvaccination may play an important role in antibody maintenance and recall response, thereby conferring long-term protection. | 7 | Controlling polar-toroidal multi-order states in twisted ferroelectric nanowires显示文摘The toroidal order of electric dipoles in ferroelectric materials has attracted attention in the past decade due to fascinating properties and great potential for enabling novel memory devices,and functional devices in general.However,facile manipulation of toroidal order in ferroelectrics remains challenging.Here,using first-principles derived simulations,we demonstrate an efficient scheme to control the polar-toroidal multi-order(PTMO)states in ferroelectric nanowires.Two feasible strategies of controlling PTMO states by a combination of homogeneous electric field and torque are carried out in ferroelectric/paraelectric composite nanowires.This is possible based on trilinear coupling between polarization,toroidization and the twist force.As a result,switching of the toroidization of the nanowire can be readily achieved by reversal of the axial polarization.The torque threshold needed to control PTMO states is also calculated and found to be relatively small,indicating the feasibility of this method.Our study demonstrates facile control of PTMO states,including ferroelectric skyrmions,in ferroelectrics and is a step towards designing ferroelectric devices based on multi-order states. | Jianyi Liu Ye Ji Shuai Yuan Lili Ding Weijin Chen Yue Zheng | 2018 | npj Computational Materials2018,,1: | 0 |
| 8 | Bidirectional mechanical switching window in ferroelectric thin films predicted by first-principle-based simulations显示文摘Mechanical control of ferroelectric domain evolution has attracted much interest over the past decade.Nevertheless,bidirectional 180°mechanical switching,i.e.,a complete cycle of mechanical writing and then erasing of a ferroelectric nanodomain,has not yet been realized in tip-film architectures.Here,via first-principles-based molecular dynamics simulations,we demonstrate that bidirectional 180°mechanical switching is possible in tip-film architectures when screening condition of ferroelectric films and tip loading force are within an appropriate window.The switching utilizes a delicate competition between the flexoelectric field and an overlooked effective dipolar field.The effective dipolar field dominates at small tip force and trigger switching from a downward single-domain state to an upward poly-domain state,whereas the flexoelectric field dominates at relatively large tip force and enables a back-switching.Bidirectional mechanical switching is achieved by applying tip force pulses with alternatively varying strength.The dipole-dipole interaction dynamics play important roles in mechanical switching. | Jianyi Liu Weijin Chen Mengjun Wu Fei Sun Xiang Huang Yue Zheng | 2022 | npj Computational Materials2022,,1: | 0 |
