1Visceral Leishmaniasis--China,2015−2019显示文摘What is already known about this topic?Visceral leishmaniasis(VL)is an important vectorborne disease in rural areas of western China.The spreading of VL made its prevention and control become more complicated.What is added by this report?The number of VL cases decreased from 2015(n=498)to 2019(n=166).However,the mountain-type zoonotic visceral leishmaniasis(MT-ZVL)cases increased from 2015(n=82,16.5%)to 2019(n=122,73.5%).In addition,both number and proportion of imported cases increased from 2015(n=18,3.6%)to 2019(n=41,24.7%).The re-emergence of MT-ZVL was considerable;13 historically-endemic counties reported 48 indigenous cases.Infants and young children were the high risk population of VL(848,62.4%)followed by farmers(303,22.3%).What are the implications for public health practice?Both MT-ZVL and imported cases showed an increasing trend in China.Therefore,two actions are needed to control VL:1)to prevent re-emergence and spreading of MT-ZVL;and 2)to ensure timely diagnosis and appropriate treatment to avoid fatal VL cases,especially in non-endemic areas.Zhengbin Zhou Shan Lyu Yi Zhang Yuanyuan Li Shizhu Li Xiao-nong Zhou 2020China CDC weekly2020,2,33:4
2ZrO2/PMMA Nanocomposites: Preparation and Its Dispersion in Polymer Matrix显示文摘ZrO2/PMMA nanocomposite particles are synthesized through an in-situ free radical emulsion polymerization based on the silane coupling agent (Z-6030) modified ZrO2 nanoparticles, and the morphology, size and its distribution of nanocomposite particles are investigated. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images demonstrate that the methyl methacrylate (MMA) feeding rate has a significant effect on the particle size and morphology. When the MMA feeding rate decreases from 0.42ml·min-1 to 0.08ml·min-1 , large particles (about 200-550nm) will not form, and the size distribution become narrow (36-54nm). The average nanocomposite particles size increases from 34nm to 55nm, as the MMA/ZrO2 nanoparticles mass ratio increased from 4:1 to 16:1. Regular spherical ZrO2/PMMA nanocomposite particles are synthesized when the emulsifier OP-10 concentration is 2mg·ml-1. The nanocomposite particles could be mixed with VAc-VeoVa10 polymer matrix just by magnetic stirring to prepare the ZrO2 /PMMA/VAc-VeoVa10 hybrid coatings. SEM and atomic force microscopy (AFM) photos reveal that the distribution of the ZrO2 /PMMA nanocomposite particles in the VAc-VeoVa10 polymer matrix is homogenous and stable. Here, the grafted-PMMA polymer on ZrO2 nanoparticles plays as a bridge which effectively connects the ZrO2 nanoparticles and the VAc-VeoVa10 polymer matrix with improved comparability. 3Highly Efficient Photoelectrocatalytic Reduction of CO2 to Methanol by a p–n Heterojunction CeO2/CuO/Cu Catalyst显示文摘Photoelectrocatalytic reduction of CO2 to fuels has great potential for reducing anthropogenic CO2 emissions and also lessening our dependence on fossil fuel energy.Herein,we report the successful development of a novel photoelectrocatalytic catalyst for the selective reduction of CO2 to methanol,comprising a copper catalyst modified with flower-like cerium oxide nanoparticles(CeO2 NPs)(a n-type semiconductor)and copper oxide nanoparticles(CuO NPs)(a p-type semiconductor).At an applied potential of−1.0 V(vs SCE)under visible light irradiation,the CeO2 NPs/CuO NPs/Cu catalyst yielded methanol at a rate of 3.44μmol cm^−2 h^−1,which was approximately five times higher than that of a CuO NPs/Cu catalyst(0.67μmol cm^−2 h^−1).The carrier concentration increased by^108 times when the flower-like CeO2 NPs were deposited on the CuO NPs/Cu catalyst,due to synergistic transfer of photoexcited electrons from the conduction band of CuO to that of CeO2,which enhanced both photocatalytic and photoelectrocatalytic CO2 reduction on the CeO2 NPs.The facile migration of photoexcited electrons and holes across the p–n heterojunction that formed between the CeO2 and CuO components was thus critical to excellent light-induced CO2 reduction properties of the CeO2 NPs/CuO NPs/Cu catalyst.Results encourage the wider application of composite semiconductor electrodes in carbon dioxide reduction.Zhengbin Pan Ershuan Han Jingui Zheng Jing Lu Xiaolin Wang Yanbin Yin Geoffrey INWaterhouse Xiuguo Wang Peiqiang Li 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,2:3

7Template-free preparation of non-metal(B,P,S)doped g-C_(3)N_(4)tubes with enhanced photocatalytic H_(2)O_(2)generation显示文摘Developing environmentally friendly methods to produce hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))has received increasing attention.Photocatalysis has been proved to be a sustainable technology for H_(2)O_(2)production.Herein,the novel non-metal elements(B,P,and S)doped g-C_(3)N_(4)tubes(B-CNT,P-CNT,and S-CNT)photocatalysts were obtained via a hydrothermal synthesis followed by thermal polymerization.By adjusting the precursor,the yield of g-C_(3)N_(4)tubes(CNT)materials has been greatly improved.The as-prepared B-CNT,P-CNT,and S-CNT photocatalysts show an enhanced photocatalytic H_(2)O_(2)production with the formation rate constants values of 42.31μM min^(-1),24.95μM min^(-1),and 24.22μM min^(-1),respectively,which is higher than that of bulk CN(16.40μM min^(-1)).The doped B,P,S elements significantly enhanced the photocatalytic activity by adjusting their electronic structures and promoting the separation of electronhole carriers.The results have shown great potential for the practical application of CNT photocatalysts.Yuanyuan Liu Yanmei Zheng Weijie Zhang Zhengbin Peng Hang Xie Yi Xuan Wang Xinli Guo Ming Zhang Rui Li Ying Huang 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,36:1

10Effects of NO and Different Media on the Growth of Prorocentrum micans显示文摘Prorocentrum micans was cultivated in different media including f/2, f/4, f/8, f/20, f/25, f/50, f/100 and f/200. Results showed that media influence the growth of P.micans. The biomass of P.micans in rich nutrition medium was much higher than in poor nutrition medium. Nitric oxide can promote or inhibit the growth of P.micans in all media. Nitric oxide at the concentration of 1.4×10 -6 mol L -1 promoted the growth of P.micans significantly when added only once during the cultivation. When added twice a day, nitric oxide at the concentration of 1.4×10 -9 mol [KG-*4]L -[KG-*5]1 promoted the growth of P.micans significantly, while nitric oxide at the concentrations of 1.4×10 -5 mol L -1 and 1.4×10 -6 mol L -1 inhibited the growth. 11Weakly-coupled mode division multiplexing over conventional multi-mode fiber with intensity modulation and direct detection显示文摘Multi-mode fiber(MMF)links are expected to greatly enhance capacity to cope with rapidly increasing data traffic in optical short-reach systems and networks.Recently,mode division multiplexing(MDM)over MMF has been proposed,in which different modes in MMF are utilized as spatial channels for data transmission.Stronglycoupled MDM techniques utilizing coherent detection and multiplex-input-multiplex-output(MIMO)digital signal processing(DSP)are complex and expensive for shortreach transmission.So the weakly-coupled approach by significantly suppressing mode coupling in the fiber and optical components has been proposed.In this way,the signals in each mode can be independently transmitted and received using conventional intensity modulation and direct detection(IM-DD).In this paper,we elaborate the key technologies to realize weakly-coupled MDM transmission over conventional MMF,including mode characteristic in MMF and weakly-coupled mode multiplexer/ demultiplexer(MUX/DEMUX).We also present the upto-date experimental results for weakly-coupled MDM transmission over conventional OM3 MMF.We show that weakly-coupled MDM scheme is promising for high-speed optical interconnections and bandwidth upgrade of already-deployed MMF links.Juhao LI Zhongying WU Dawei GE Jinglong ZHU Yu TIAN Yichi ZHANG Jinyi YU Zhengbin LI Zhangyuan CHEN Yongqi HE 2019Frontiers of Optoelectronics2019,12,1:1

18Establishment of an indicator framework for the transmission risk of the mountain-type zoonotic visceral leishmaniasis based on the Delphi-entropy weight method显示文摘Background: Visceral leishmaniasis (VL) is one of the most important neglected tropical diseases. Although VL was controlled in several regions of China during the last century, the mountain-type zoonotic visceral leishmaniasis (MT-ZVL) has reemerged in the hilly areas of China in recent decades. The purpose of this study was to construct an indicator framework for assessing the risk of the MT-ZVL in China, and to provide guidance for preventing disease.Methods: Based on a literature review and expert interview, a 3-level indicator framework was initially established in November 2021, and 28 experts were selected to perform two rounds of consultation using the Delphi method. The comprehensive weight of the tertiary indicators was determined by the Delphi and the entropy weight methods.Results: Two rounds of Delphi consultation were conducted. Four primary indicators, 11 secondary indicators, and 35 tertiary indicators were identified. The Delphi-entropy weight method was performed to calculate the comprehensive weight of the tertiary indicators. The normalized weights of the primary indicators were 0.268, 0.261, 0.242, and 0.229, respectively, for biological factors, interventions, environmental factors, and social factors. The normalized weights of the top four secondary indicators were 0.122, 0.120, 0.098, and 0.096, respectively, for climatic features, geographical features, sandflies, and dogs. Among the tertiary indicators, the top four normalized comprehensive weights were the population density of sandflies (0.076), topography (0.057), the population density of dogs, including tethering (0.056), and use of bed nets or other protective measures (0.056).Conclusions: An indicator framework of transmission risk assessment for MT-ZVL was established using the Delphientropy weight method. 19Identification of oleic acid as an endogenous ligand of GPR3显示文摘Although GPR3 plays pivotal roles in both the nervous system and metabolic processes,such as cold-induced thermogenesis,its endogenous ligand remains elusive.Here,by combining structural approach(including cryo-electron microscopy),mass spectrometry analysis,and functional studies,we identify oleic acid(OA)as an endogenous ligand of GPR3.Our study reveals a hydrophobic tunnel within GPR3 that connects the extracellular side of the receptor to the middle of plasma membrane,enabling fatty acids to readily engage the receptor.Functional studies demonstrate that OA triggers downstream Gs signaling,whereas lysophospholipids fail to activate the receptor.Moreover,our research reveals that cold stimulation induces the secretion of OA in mice,subsequently activating Gs/cAMP/PKA signaling in brown adipose tissue.Notably,brown adipose tissues from Gpr3 knockout mice do not respond to OA during cold stimulation,reinforcing the significance of GPR3 in this process.Finally,we propose a“born to be activated and cold to enhance”model for GPR3 activation.Our study provides a starting framework for the understanding of GPR3 signaling in cold-stimulated thermogenesis.Yangjie Xiong Zhenmei Xu Xinzhi Li Yuqin Wang Jing Zhao Na Wang Yaning Duan Ruixue Xia Zhengbin Han Yu Qian Jiale Liang Anqi Zhang Changyou Guo Asuka Inoue Yu Xia Zheng Chen Yuanzheng He 2024Cell Research2024,34,3:0
20Cobalt single atoms supported on monolithic carbon with a hollow-on-hollow architecture for efficient transfer hydrogenations显示文摘Single-atom catalysts(SACs)have received considerable attention in hydrogenation of nitroaromatic compounds to aromatic amines.In order to enhance the exposure of single atoms and overcome the mass transfer limitation,construction of hierarchical porous supports for single atoms is highly desirable.Herein,we report a straightforward method to synthesize Co single-atoms supported on a hollow-on-hollow structured carbon monolith(Co_(1)/HOHC-M)by pyrolysis ofα-cellulose monolith loaded with PS-core@ZnCo-zeolite imidazolate frameworks-shell nanospheres(PS@Zn-ZIFs/α-cellulose).The hollow-on-hollow structure consists of a large hollow void with a diameter of~290 nm(derived from the decomposition of polystyrene(PS)nanospheres)and a thin shell with hollow spherical pores with a diameter of~10 nm(derived from the evaporation of ZnO nanoparticles that are in-situ formed during pyrolysis in the presence of CO_(2)fromα-cellulose decomposition).Benefitting from the hierarchically porous architecture,the Co_(1)/HOHC-M exhibits excellent catalytic performance(reaction rate of 421.6 mmol·gCo^(-1)·h^(−1))in the transfer hydrogenation of nitrobenzene to aniline,outperforming the powdered sample of Co_(1)/HCS without the hollow spherical mesopores(reaction rate of 353.8 mmol·gCo^(-1)·h^(−1)).It is expected that this strategy could be well extended in heterogeneous catalysis,given the wide applications of porous carbon-supported single-atom catalysts.Xiangyi Gong De-Chang Li Qian Zhang Wenquan Wang Zhengbin Tian Ge Su Minghua Huang Guang-Hui Wang 2023Nano Research2023,16,8:0
