| 10 | In vivo assessment of hepatotoxicity,nephrotoxicity and biodistribution using 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane-coated magnetic nanoparticles(APTS-MNPs) in ICR mice显示文摘The biocompatibility and biodistribution of magnetic nanoparticles(MNPs)in vivo are essential to ensure their safely clinical application.We have studied these aspects with our 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilanecoated magnetic nanoparticles(APTS-MNPs)formulation,which can be used as magnetic induction hyperthermia media.Changes in tissue iron levels were analyzed after intraperitoneal injection of APTS-MNPs to ICR mice.Liver and kidney functions were tested.Heart,liver,spleen,lung,kidney,testis,and brain were sectioned for pathological analysis.Biodistribution of iron in various body tissues changed with time but greater fraction of the injected iron localized in the liver and spleen than in other tissues.Serum showed an increase in AST and LDH following APTS-MNPs injection.Histological analyses of selected tissues showed no obvious abnormal changes.In conclusion,APTS-MNPs did not cause continuing changes in the liver and kidney function and thus can be safely used for in vivo application. | Xiaowen Wang Jieying Zhang Xin Yang Zhenghai Tang Yanwen Hu Benke Chen Jintian Tang | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,16: | 1 |

| 15 | Topological network design toward high-performance vegetable oil-based elastomers显示文摘As a kind of bio-derived feedstock,vegetable oil(VO)shows great potential to replace petroleum-based monomers to develop sustainable polymer materials because of its easy availability,low cost,bio-renewable,and environmentally friendly nature.However,due to the high cross-linking density and amorphous nature,directly cured VOs generally tend to be brittle and weak.To date,it is still difficult to adopt VOs and their derivatives as structural materials to prepare high-performance elastomers.To address this important issue,amulti-scale topology design strategy was proposed in this work.First,topology regulation and functionalization of VO-based networks were realized by managing functional groups proportion during the bulk polymerization of epoxidized soybean oil with dimer fatty acids.Furthermore,a second polymer(SN)network was introduced into the VO-based network as a protective layer via interfacial cross-links.The generated VO-based elastomers(VOEs)exhibit unprecedented comprehensive properties(VO content≥70 wt.%,T_(g)as low as−24.4℃,toughness up to 6.8 MJ/m^(3)).Besides,the VOEs also exhibit excellent reprocessability and self-healing capability.Overall,this work developed a novel kind of VOEs with significant comprehensive advantages and provided important inspiration for the preparation of high-performance elastomers throughmulti-scale topology regulation. | Shuangjian Yu Yeqing Li Siwu Wu Zhenghai Tang Liqun Zhang Baochun Guo | 2023 | SusMat2023,3,3: | 0 |
| 16 | Sustainable shape memory polymers based on epoxidized natural rubber cured by zinc ferulate via oxa-Michael reaction显示文摘Although various shape memory polymers(SMPs)or diverse applications have been widely reported,the SMPs based on rubbers have been rarely realized due to the low triggering temperature of rubbers.In another aspect,the SMPs based on sustainable substances are highly desired for the growing shortage in fossil resources.In the present study,we accordingly developed the sustainable SMPs with tunable triggering temperature,based on natural rubber(NR)and ferulic acid(FA)as the raw materials.Specifically,the SMPs are based on a crosslinked network of epoxidized natural rubber(ENR)crosslinked by in situ formed zinc ferulate(ZDF)via oxa-Michael reaction.The excellent shape memory effect(SME)is found in these SMPs,as evidenced by the high fixity/recovery ratio and the tunable triggering temperature.With the incorpora-tion of natural halloysite nanotubes(HNTs),the stress and recovery rate of the SMPs are found to be tunable,which widens the application of this kind of SMPs.The combination of adoption of sustainable raw materials,and the excellent and tunable SME makes these SMPs potentially useful in many applications,such as various actuators and heat-shrinkable package materials. | Xuhui Zhang Tengfei Lin Zhenghai Tang Kailun Sun Baochun Guo | 2015 | International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials2015,6,4: | 0 |
