1A Grid Interface Current Control Strategy for DC Microgrids显示文摘In this paper,a grid interface current control strategy is presented for a DC microgrid,which aims to reduce the disturbance from PV generation and the load variation to the main grid without a grid interface converter.The grid interface current is directly controlled by a battery DC-DC converter within the DC microgrid.Based on a comprehensive analysis of the battery DC-DC converter and interface current control,the control system has been mathematically modelled.This enabled two transfer functions to be derived that reflect the dynamic response of the inductor current to the duty cycle variation(inner loop),and the dynamic response of the grid interface current to the inductor current variation(outer loop).Experimental study has been done to assess the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.The experimental results indicate that the proposed control strategy has a good performance to control the grid interface current without an interface converter,regardless the variations of both PV and the load conditions.Muhannad Alshareef Zhengyu Lin Fulong Li Fei Wang 2021CES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems2021,5,3:8
2Highly Active and Stable Ni_2P/SiO_2 Catalyst for Hydrogenation of C_9 Petroleum Resin显示文摘Catalytic hydrogenation is an appropriate method for the improvement of C9 petroleum resin(C9PR) quality. In this study, the Ni2P/SiO2(containing 10% of Ni) catalyst prepared by the temperature-programmed reduction(TPR) method was used for hydrogenation of C9 petroleum resins. The effect of reaction conditions on catalytic performance was studied, and the results showed that the optimum reaction temperature, pressure and liquid hourly space velocity(LHSV) was 250 ℃, 6.0 MPa, and 1.0 h-1, respectively. The bromine numbers of hydrogenated products were maintained at low values(250 mg Br/100g) within 300h, showing the high activity and stability of Ni2P/SiO2 catalyst. The fresh and spent catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), BET surface area(BET) analysis, scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) pyridine adsorption, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). Compared with the traditional sulfurated-Ni W catalysts, Ni2P possessed globe-like structure instead of layered structure like the active phase of Ni WS, thereof exposing more active sites, which were responsible for the high activity of Ni2P/SiO2 catalyst. The stability of Ni2P/SiO2 catalyst was probably attributed to its high sulfur tolerance, antisintering, anti-coking and carbon-resistance ability. 3Copper‑Based Catalysts for Electrochemical Carbon Dioxide Reduction to Multicarbon Products显示文摘Electrochemical conversion of carbon dioxide into fuel and chemicals with added value represents an appealing approach to reduce the greenhouse effect and realize a carbon-neutral cycle,which has great potential in mitigating global warming and effectively storing renewable energy.The electrochemical CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)usually involves multiproton coupling and multielectron transfer in aqueous electrolytes to form multicarbon products(C_(2+) products),but it competes with the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER),which results in intrinsically sluggish kinetics and a complex reaction mechanism and places higher requirements on the design of catalysts.In this review,the advantages of electrochemical CO_(2) reduction are briefly introduced,and then,different categories of Cu-based catalysts,including monometallic Cu catalysts,bimetallic catalysts,metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)along with MOF-derived catalysts and other catalysts,are summarized in terms of their synthesis method and conversion of CO_(2) to C2+products in aqueous solution.The catalytic mechanisms of these catalysts are subsequently discussed for rational design of more efficient catalysts.In response to the mechanisms,several material strategies to enhance the catalytic behaviors are proposed,including surface facet engineering,interface engineering,utilization of strong metal-support interactions and surface modification.Based on the above strategies,challenges and prospects are proposed for the future development of CO_(2)RR catalysts for industrial applications.Fangfang Chang Meiling Xiao Ruifang Miao Yongpeng Liu Mengyun Ren Zhichao Jia Dandan Han Yang Yuan Zhengyu Bai Lin Yang 2022Electrochemical Energy Reviews2022,5,3:2
4Joint observation results of Na layer and ionosphere in Wuhan during the Total Solar Eclipse显示文摘During the total solar eclipse on July 22, 2009 in Wuhan, the joint observation test of Na layer and ionosphere was conducted by using the daytime observation atmospheric lidar and the GPS ionosphere detector. The results show that the full width at half maximum(FWHM) of Na layer density slightly narrowed during the total solar eclipse and broadened after the eclipse, while the height of Na peak slightly decreased in the eclipse and increased after the eclipse. These implying that Na layer changes reflect the rapid process of sunrise and sunset. The ionosphere total electron content(TEC) and the sky background light noise also presented an obvious fluctuation characteristic with the changes of solar irradiation during the process of total solar eclipse. The difference lies in that the changes of FWHM of Na layer atoms are much slower than that of ionosphere, the reason for this might be that the Na layer, after being disturbed by the total solar eclipse, will generate a series of complicated photochemical reactions and momentum transport processes, and then recombine the Na atoms. 11Evaluation of pharmaceutical activities of G-protein coupled receptor targeted pharmaceuticals in Chinese wastewater effluent显示文摘The occurre nce of biologically active pharmaceuticals in aquatic enviro nments raised the potential risks to aquatic species.Among these marketed biological active pharmaceuticals,it has been estimated that40%of them target G-protein-coupled receptors(GPCRs).We have illustrated pharmaceutical activities of GPCR targeted pharmaceuticals in English and Japanese wastewater by the in vitro transforming growth factor-α(TGFα)shedding assay.However,as the most important producer and consumer of pharmaceuticals,the occurrence of GPCR targeted pharmaceuticals in China had remained unclear.In this study,we investigated the pharmaceutical activities of GPCR targeted pharmaceuticals in secondary effluents of Chinese wastewater treatment plants.We discovered antagonistic activities against angiotensin(AT1)receptor at up to 7.2×102 ng-valsartan-equivalent quantity/L in Chinese wastewater for the first time as well as agonistic activities against dopamine(D2)receptor.Furthermore,in parallel with the assay,we determined concentrations of GPCR targeted pharmaceuticals in target wastewater by liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS).Through the comparison of predicted antagonistic activities calculated by concentrations and potency values from the assay,we found that the measured antagonistic activities against AT1 receptor from the assay were higher than the predicted AT1 activities from valsartan,irbesartan,and losartan,indicating the potential existence of other unknown AT1 antagonists in wastewater.Han Zhang Yingchao Lin Zhengyu Men Masaru Ihara Weizun Li Kai He 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,10:1

15Tetrahedral DNA nanostructures synergize with MnO_(2) to enhance antitumor immunity via promoting STING activation and M1 polarization显示文摘Stimulator of interferon genes(STING) is a cytosolic DNA sensor which is regarded as a potential target for antitumor immunotherapy. However, clinical trials of STING agonists display limited anti-tumor effects and dose-dependent side-effects like inflammatory damage and cell toxicity. Here,we showed that tetrahedral DNA nanostructures(TDNs) actively enter macrophages to promote STING activation and M1 polarization in a size-dependent manner, and synergized with Mn^(2+) to enhance the expressions of IFN-β and iNOS, as well as the co-stimulatory molecules for antigen presentation. Moreover, to reduce the cytotoxicity of Mn^(2+),we constructed a TDN-MnO_(2) complex and found that it displayed a much higher efficacy than TDN plus Mn^(2+) to initiate macrophage activation and anti-tumor response both in vitro and in vivo. 17Beads-on-string hierarchical structured electrocatalysts for efficient oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘Rational design of hierarchically structured electrocatalysts is particularly important for electrocatalytic oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).Here,ZIF-67 crystals are stringed on core-shell Ag@C nanocables using a coordinationmodulated process.Upon pyrolysis,Ag@C strings of Co nanoparticles embedded with three-dimensional porous carbon with beads-on-string hierarchical structures are developed.Due to the advantages of the rich electrochemical active sites of Co-based“beads”and the efficient electron transfer pathways via Ag@C“strings,”the resultant NH_(3)-Ag@C@Co-N-C-700 catalyst shows an improved electrocatalytic activity toward ORR.NH_(3)-Ag@C@Co-N-C-700 shows a high onset potential of 0.99 V versus RHE,a high half-wave potential of 0.88 V versus RHE,and a large limiting current of 5.8 mA cm^(-2),which are better than those of commercial Pt/C electrocatalysts.Additionally,the NH_(3)-Ag@C@Co-N-C-700 catalyst shows high stability and preeminent methanol tolerance,which makes NH_(3)-Ag@C@Co-N-C-700 a promising catalyst for oxygen electrocatalysis in fuel cell applications.Yang Yuan Qing Zhang Yinling Li Luyao Lv Yan Hou Ge Li Jing Fu Lin Yang Zhengyu Bai 2023Carbon Energy2023,5,2:1

20Beneficial effects of a decreased meal frequency on nutrient utilization,secretion of luteinizing hormones and ovarian follicular development in gilts显示文摘Background:Replacement gilts are typically fed ad libitum,whereas emerging evidence from human and rodent studies has revealed that time-restricted access to food has health benefits.The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of meal frequency on the metabolic status and ovarian follicular development in gilts.Methods:A total of 36 gilts(Landrace×Yorkshire)with an age of 150±3 d and a body weight of 77.6±3.8 kg were randomly allocated into one of three groups(n=12 in each group),and based on the group allocation,the gilts were fed at a frequency of one meal(T1),two meals(T2),or six meals per day(T6)for 14 consecutive weeks.The effects of the meal frequency on growth preference,nutrient utilization,short-chain fatty acid production by gut microbial,the post-meal dynamics in the metabolic status,reproductive hormone secretions,and ovarian follicular development in the gilts were measured.Results:The gilts in the T1 group presented a higher average daily gain(+48 g/d,P<0.05)and a higher body weight(+4.9 kg,P<0.05)than those in the T6 group.The meal frequency had no effect on the apparent digestibility of dry matter,crude protein,ether extract,ash,and gross energy,with the exception that the T1 gilts exhibited a greater NDF digestibility than the T6 gilts(P<0.05).The nitrogen balance analysis revealed that the T1 gilts presented decreased urine excretion of nitrogen(−8.17 g/d,P<0.05)and higher nitrogen retention(+9.81 g/d,P<0.05),and thus exhibited higher nitrogen utilization than the T6 gilts.The time-course dynamics of glucose,α-amino nitrogen,urea,lactate,and insulin levels in serum revealed that the T1 group exhibited higher utilization of nutrients after a meal than the T2 or T6 gilts.The T1 gilts also had a higher acetate content and SCFAs in feces than the T6 gilts(P<0.05).The age,body weight and backfat thickness of the gilts at first estrous expression were not affected by the meal frequency,but the gilts in the T1 group had higher levels of serum luteinizing hormone on the 18th day of the 3rd estrus cycle and 17β-estradiol,a larger number of growing follicles and corpora lutea,and higher mRNA expression levels of genes related to follicular development on the 19th day of the 3rd estrus cycle.Conclusions:The current findings revealed the benefits of a lower meal frequency equal feed intake on nutrient utilization and reproductive function in replacement gilts,and thus provide new insights into the nutritional strategy for replacement gilts,and the dietary pattern for other mammals,such as humans.Lun Hua Lianpeng Zhao Zhengyu Mao Wentao Li Jing Li Xuemei Jiang Lianqiang Che Shengyu Xu Yan Lin Zhengfeng Fang Bin Feng De Wu Yong Zhuo 2021Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2021,12,3:1
