1Immune checkpoint inhibitors for treatment of advanced gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer:Current evidence and future perspectives显示文摘Despite the application of conventional therapies,the prognosis of advanced gastric cancer(GC)or gastroesophageal junction cancer(GEJC)is still poor.In recent years,immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)have reshaped the paradigm of cancer therapy.Emerging evidence support the feasibility of programmed cell death-1(PD-1)and its ligand(PD-L1)inhibition in chemo-refractory GC/GEJC.Nivolumab and pembrolizumab have initially been approved in Japan and United States,respectively for the third-line treatment of progressive GC or GEJC.In March 2020,nivolumab has also been licensed in China for treating advanced GC/GEJC who received≥2 lines of systemic therapies.Current studies are moving forward to the first-line application or focusing on combination strategies,though data are insufficient and disputable.In this review,we summarize the recently reported and ongoing clinical trials in ICIs for advanced GC/GEJC.Molecular characteristics and clinical implications of different tumor subtypes are also reviewed.We further discuss the safety profile and biomarkers for predicting the response of ICIs,which has guiding values in clinical practice.Zhening Zhang T ong Xie Xiaotian Zhang Changsong Qi Lin Shen Zhi Peng 2020Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,3:10
2Approximation Algorithms for Discrete Polynomial Optimization显示文摘In this paper,we consider approximation algorithms for optimizing a generic multivariate polynomial function in discrete(typically binary)variables.Such models have natural applications in graph theory,neural networks,error-correcting codes,among many others.In particular,we focus on three types of optimization models:(1)maximizing a homogeneous polynomial function in binary variables;(2)maximizing a homogeneous polynomial function in binary variables,mixed with variables under spherical constraints;(3)maximizing an inhomogeneous polynomial function in binary variables.We propose polynomial-time randomized approximation algorithms for such polynomial optimizationmodels,and establish the approximation ratios(or relative approximation ratios whenever appropriate)for the proposed algorithms.Some examples of applications for these models and algorithms are discussed as well.Simai He Zhening Li Shuzhong Zhang 2013Journal of the Operations Research Society of China2013,1,1:2
3Hybrid Channel Access Mechanism Based on Coexistence Scenario of NR-Unlicensed显示文摘With the rapid development of 5G NR(New Radio),the explosive increment of traffic amount is calling the utilization of unlicensed band.3GPP has proposed LAA(Licensed Assisted Access)to use LTE in unlicensed band and pointed out that NR-U(NR-Unlicensed)can reuse most designs of it.However,the existing channel access mechanism of LAA is conservative under the coexistence scenario of NR-U,which leads to the waste of time resource.To address the problem this paper proposes a hybrid channel access mechanism to take advantage of the LBT(Listen-Before-Talk)mechanism of LAA when channel is quite busy and transmit directly with reduced power when it is relatively idle.The channel busy degree is judged by a series of periodically updated adaptive thresholds.System-level simulation verifies that under the coexistence scenario of NR-U the proposed mechanism can achieve higher UPT(User Perceived Throughput)and lower delay than other channel access mechanisms.Zhening Zhang Jingyi Chen Mingyang Dong Yuehong Gao Jingjing Wang 2020China Communications2020,17,1:2

7Engineering single-molecule fluorescence withasymmetric nano-antennas显示文摘As a powerful tool for studying molecular dynamics in bioscience,single-molecule fluorescence detection providesdynamical information buried in ensemble experiments.Fluorescence in the near-infrared(NIR)is particularly usefulbecause it offers higher signal-to-noise ratio and increased penetration depth in tissue compared with visiblefluorescence.The low quantum yield of most NIR fluorophores,however,makes the detection of single-moleculefluorescence difcult.Here,we use asymmetric plasmonic nano-antenna to enhance the fluorescence intensity ofAlEE1000,a typical NIR dye,by a factor up to 405.The asymmetric nano-antenna achieve such an enhancement mainlyby increasing the quantum yield(to~80%)rather than the local field,which degrades the molecules'photostability.Our coupled-mode-theory analysis reveals that the enhancements stem from resonance-matching between antennaand molecule and,more importantly,from optimizing the coupling between the near-and far-ield modes withdesigner asymmetric structures.Our work provides a universal scheme for engineering single-molecule fluorescence inthe near-infrared regime.Wenqi Zhao Xiaochaoran Tian Zhening Fang Shiyi Xiao Meng Qiu Qiong He Wei Feng Fuyou Li Yuanbo Zhang Lei Zhou Yan-Wen Tan 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,5:1
8Gene amplification-driven RNA methyltransferase KIAA1429 promotes tumorigenesis by regulating BTG2 via m6A-YTHDF2-dependent in lung adenocarcinoma显示文摘Background:Epigenetic alterations have been shown to contribute immensely to human carcinogenesis.Dynamic and reversible N6-methyladenosine(m6A)RNA modification regulates gene expression and cell fate.However,the reasons for activation of KIAA1429(also known as VIRMA,an RNA methyltransferase)and its underlying mechanism in lung adenocarcinoma(LUAD)remain largely unexplored.In this study,we aimed to clarify the oncogenic role of KIAA1429 in the tumorigenesis of LUAD.Methods:Whole-genome sequencing and transcriptome sequencing of LUAD data were used to analyze the gene amplification of RNA methyltransferase.The in vitro and in vivo functions of KIAA1429 were investigated.Transcriptome sequencing,methylated RNA immunoprecipitation sequencing(MeRIP-seq),m6A dot blot assays and RNA immunoprecipitation(RIP)were performed to confirm the modified gene mediated by KIAA1429.RNA stability assays were used to detect the half-life of the target gene.Results:Copy number amplification drove higher expression of KIAA1429 in LUAD,whichwas correlatedwith poor overall survival.Manipulating the expression of KIAA1429 could regulate the proliferation and metastasis of LUAD.Mechanistically,the target genes of KIAA1429-mediated m6A modification were confirmed by transcriptome sequencing and MeRIP-seq assays.We also revealed that KIAA1429 could regulate BTG2 expression in an m6A-dependent manner.Knockdown of KIAA1429 significantly decreased the m6A levels of BTG2 mRNA,leading to enhanced YTH m6A RNA binding protein 2(YTHDF2,the m6A“reader”)-dependent BTG2 mRNA stability and promoted the expression of BTG2;thus,participating in the tumorigenesis of LUAD.Conclusions:Our data revealed the activation mechanism and important role of KIAA1429 in LUAD tumorigenesis,which may provide a novel view on the targeted molecular therapy of LUAD.Chang Zhang Qi Sun Xu Zhang Na Qin Zhening Pu Yayun Gu Caiwang Yan Meng Zhu Juncheng Dai ChengWang Ni Li Guangfu Jin Hongxia Ma Zhibin Hu Erbao Zhang Fengwei Tan Hongbing Shen 2022Cancer Communications2022,42,7:1
9Applications of lasers:A promising route toward low-cost fabrication of high-efficiency full-color micro-LED displays显示文摘Micro-light-emitting diodes(micro-LEDs)with outstanding performance are promising candidates for next-generation displays.To achieve the application of high-resolution displays such as meta-displays,virtual reality,and wearable electronics,the size of LEDs must be reduced to the micro-scale.Thus,traditional technology cannot meet the demand during the processing of micro-LEDs.Recently,lasers with short-duration pulses have attracted attention because of their unique advantages during micro-LED processing such as noncontact processing,adjustable energy and speed of the laser beam,no cutting force acting on the devices,high efficiency,and low cost.Herein,we review the techniques and principles of laser-based technologies for micro-LED displays,including chip dicing,geometry shaping,annealing,laserassisted bonding,laser lift-off,defect detection,laser repair,mass transfer,and optimization of quantum dot color conversion films.Moreover,the future prospects and challenges of laser-based techniques for micro-LED displays are discussed.Shouqiang Lai Shibiao Liu Zilu Li Zhening Zhang Zhong Chen Rong Zhang Hao-Chung Kuo Tingzhu Wu 2023Opto-Electronic Science2023,2,10:0
