1Is urban development an urban river killer? A case study of Yongding Diversion Channel in Beijing, China显示文摘The high population and concrete environment alter urban areas by changing temperature, rainfall runoff, and water resource utilization activities. This study was conducted to investigate the water quality features of the Yongding Diversion Channel in Beijing, China, and its relationship with rainfall and urban development. Monthly water quality data were obtained from April to October of 2004 at monitoring sites of Sanjiadian, Gaojing, Luodaozhuang, and Yuyuangtan. The monthly water quality grades from 2007 to 2011 were also investigated and compared with those of other rivers. Dissolved oxygen and pH showed greater decreases after one or two moderate rainfall events than several light rainfall events. The potassium permanganate index(CODMn), ammonia nitrogen(NH3-N) and total phosphorus(TP) increased more after several light rainfall events than after one or two moderate or heavy rainfall events. Pollutant concentrations(CODMn, NH3-N, TP) in downstream regions showed greater changes than those in upstream areas after heavy rainfall events. Intense human activities around the channel greatly influenced the water quality of the channel in rainy season because of runoff pollution; however, heavy rainfall had a strong dilution effect on the pollutant concentrations in rivers. Overall, urban development has obviously deteriorated the water quality of the Yongding Diversion Channel as indicated by an increase in the water quality index from 3.22 in 2008 to 4.55 in2010. 2Corrosion Behavior of 316L Stainless Steels Exposed to Salt Lake Atmosphere of Western China for 8 years显示文摘The evolution of corrosion behavior of 316 L stainless steels exposed to salt lake atmosphere for 8 years was investigated.The results showed that the stainless steel in salt lake atmosphere had a greater corrosion rate during the initial exposure time and relatively lower corrosion rate during the subsequent exposure time.Dust depositions accumulated on the downward surface caused severe local corrosion of stainless steel.As exposure time prolonged,the relative amount of Croxide and Feoxidein the corrosion products gradually increased,which may directly affect the corrosion rate of stainless steels.Moreover,the maximum pit depth followed a power function with respect to exposure time.Mingxiao Guo Junrong Tang Tianzhen Gu Can Peng Qiaoxia Li Chen Pan Zhenyao Wang 2021Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2021,34,4:3
3Experimental and numerical investigation of threedimensional vortex structures of a pitching airfoil at a transitional Reynolds number显示文摘This research examines the vortex behaviors and aerodynamic forces in dynamic stall phenomena at a transitional Reynolds number(Re=90000)using experimental and numerical approaches.Periodic sinusoidal pitching motion at two different reduced frequencies is used to achieve the dynamic stall of a NACA 0012 airfoil.Several leading edge vortices form and detach in the dynamic stall stage.The flow then quickly transitions to a full separation zone in the stall stage when the angle of attack starts to decrease.There is discrepancy between the phaseaveraged and instantaneous flow field in that the small flow structures increased with angle of attack,which is a characteristic of the flow field at the transitional Reynolds number.The interaction between the streamwise vortices in the three-dimensional numerical results and the leading edge vortex are the main contribution to the turbulent flow.In addition,the leading edge vortex that supplies vortex lift is more stable at higher reduced frequency,which decreases the lift fluctuation in the dynamic stall stage.The leading edge vortex at higher reduced frequency is strong enough to stabilize the flow,even when the airfoil is in the down-stroke phase.Zhenyao LI Lihao FENG Hamid Reza KARBASIAN Jinjun WANG Kyung Chun KIM 2019Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2019,32,10:2

5Effects of UV on the Corrosion Behavior of Pure Aluminum 1060 in Simulated Nansha Marine Atmosphere显示文摘The corrosion behavior of pure aluminum 1060 subjected to a wet-dry cyclic accelerated test in simulated Nansha marine atmosphere in the dark and under UV illumination has been investigated by means of scanning electron microscopy(SEM),electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS),and Mott–Schottky measurements in this work.The results show that under the two conditions,the native oxide films are constantly destroyed and the thicknesses of the oxide films continuously decrease in the first 24 days of the corrosion test.In particular,UV illumination can diminish the pitting corrosion susceptibility of the native oxide films to an extent in terms of a photo-induced modifi cation of the native oxide film on the pure aluminum surfaces.Besides,UV illumination can also reduce the carrier concentration in the oxide films,thus reducing the conductivity and the corrosion rate.Can Peng Mingxiao Guo Tianzhen Gu Xiaohan Li Chuan Wang Zhenyao Wang Cheng Sun 2022Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2022,35,7:1

11Individual influence of pitching and plunging motions on flow structures over an airfoil during dynamic stall显示文摘The individual influence of pitching and plunging motions on flow structures is studied experimentally by changing the phase lag between the geometrical angle of attack and the plunging angle of attack.Five phase lags are chosen as the experimental parameters,while the Strouhal number,the reduced frequency and the Reynolds number are fixed.During the motion of the airfoil,the leading edge vortex,the reattached vortex and the secondary vortex are observed in the flow field.The leading edge vortex is found to be the main flow structure through the proper orthogonal decomposition.The increase of phase lag results in the increase of the leading edge velocity,which strongly influences the leading edge shear layer and the leading edge vortex.The plunging motion contributes to the development of the leading edge shear layer,while the pitching motion is the key reason for instability of the leading edge shear layer.It is also found that a certain increase of phase lag,around 34.15°in this research,can increase the airfoil lift.Zhenyao LI Lihao FENG Jinjun WANG 2020Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,3:1

16Review of phonons in moiré superlattices显示文摘Moirépatterns in physics are interference fringes produced when a periodic template is stacked on another similar one with different displacement and twist angles.The phonon in two-dimensional(2D)material affected by moirépatterns in the lattice shows various novel physical phenomena,such as frequency shift,different linewidth,and mediation to the superconductivity.This review gives a brief overview of phonons in 2D moirésuperlattice.First,we introduce the theory of the moiréphonon modes based on a continuum approach using the elastic theory and discuss the effect of the moirépattern on phonons in 2D materials such as graphene and MoS_(2).Then,we discuss the electron-phonon coupling(EPC)modulated by moirépatterns,which can be detected by the spectroscopy methods.Furthermore,the phonon-mediated unconventional superconductivity in 2D moirésuperlattice is introduced.The theory of phonon-mediated superconductivity in moirésuperlattice sets up a general framework,which promises to predict the response of superconductivity to various perturbations,such as disorder,magnetic field,and electric displacement field.Zhenyao Li Jia-Min Lai Jun Zhang 2023Journal of Semiconductors2023,44,1:0

18Short-term exposure of low-alloyed steels in Qinghai Salt Lake atmosphere显示文摘The rusts formed on carbon steel and weathering steel exposed in Qinghai Salt Lake atmosphere for 6 months were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), infrared transmission spectroscopy (IRS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), electron probe micro analyzer (EPMA) and electrochemical polarization techniques. The two kinds of steels showed the similar corrosion rate, corrosion product composition and electrochemical polarization behavior. Their rusts were mainly composed of β-FeOOH, Fe8(O,OH)16Cl1.3 and a little γ-FeOOH. Cl- played an important role during the corrosion process of low-alloyed steels. 19Parameter transferability across spatial resolutions in urban hydrological modelling:a case study in Beijing,China显示文摘This study examined the influence of spatial resolution on model parameterization,output,and the parameter transferability between different resolutions using the Storm Water Management Model.High-resolution models,in which most subcatchrnents were homogeneous,and high-resolution-based low-resolution models (in 3 scenarios)were constructed for a highly urbanized catchment in Beijing.The results indicated that the parameterization and simulation results were affected by both spatial resolution and rainfall characteristics.The simulated peak inflow and total runoff volume were sensitive to the spatial resolution,but did not show a consistent tendency.High-resolution models performed very well for both calibration and validation events in terms of three indexes:1)the Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency, 2)the peak flow error,and 3)the volume error;indication of the advantage of using these models.The parameters obtained from high-resolution models could be directly used in the low-resolution models and performed well in the simulation of heavy rain and torrential rain and in the study area where sub-area routing is insignificant.Alternatively,sub-area routing should be considered and estimated approximately.The successful scale conversion from high spatial resolution to low spatial resolution is of great significance for the hydrological simulation of ungauged large areas.Xiaoshu HOU Lei CHEN Xiang LIU Miao LI Zhenyao SHEN 2019Frontiers of Earth Science2019,13,1:0
20Terahertz phononic crystal in plasmonic nanocavity显示文摘Interaction between photons and phonons in cavity optomechanical systems provides a new toolbox for quantum information technologies.A GaAs/AlAs pillar multi-optical mode microcavity optomechanical structure can obtain phonons with ultra-high frequency(~THz).However,the optical field cannot be effectively restricted when the diameter of the GaAs/AlAs pillar microcavity decreases below the diffraction limit of light.Here,we design a system that combines Ag nanocav-ity with GaAs/AlAs phononic superlattices,where phonons with the frequency of 4.2 THz can be confined in a pillar with~4 nm diameter.The Q_(c)/V reaches 0.22 nm^(-3),which is~80 times that of the photonic crystal(PhC)nanobeam and~100 times that of the hybrid point-defect PhC bowtie plasmonic nanocavity,where Q_(c) is optical quality factor and V is mode volume.The optome-chanical single-photon coupling strength can reach 12 MHz,which is an order of magnitude larger than that of the PhC nanobeam.In addition,the mechanical zero-point fluctuation amplitude is 85 fm and the efficient mass is 0.27 zg,which is much smaller than the PhC nanobeam.The phononic superlattice-Ag nanocavity optomechanical devices hold great potential for applications in the field of integrated quantum optomechanics,quantum information,and terahertz-light transducer.Zhenyao Li Haonan Chang Jia-Min Lai Feilong Song Qifeng Yao Hanqing Liu Haiqiao Ni Zhichuan Niu Jun Zhang 2023Journal of Semiconductors2023,44,8:0
