1A variational successive corrections approach for the sea ice concentration analysis显示文摘The sea ice concentration observation from satellite remote sensing includes the spatial multi-scale information.However,traditional data assimilation methods cannot better extract the valuable information due to the complicated variability of the sea ice concentration in the marginal ice zone.A successive corrections analysis using variational optimization method,called spatial multi-scale recursive filter(SMRF),has been designed in this paper to extract multi-scale information resolved by sea ice observations.It is a combination of successive correction methods(SCM)and minimization algorithms,in which various observational scales,from longer to shorter wavelengths,can be extracted successively.As a variational objective analysis scheme,it gains the advantage over the conventional approaches that analyze all scales resolved by observations at one time,and also,the specification of parameters is more convenient.Results of single-observation experiment demonstrate that the SMRF scheme possesses a good ability in propagating observational signals.Further,it shows a superior performance in extracting multi-scale information in a two-dimensional sea ice concentration(SIC)experiment with the real observations from Special Sensor Microwave/Imager SIC(SSMI).Xuefeng Zhang Lu Yang Hongli Fu Dong Li Zheqi Shen Lianxin Zhang Xuhui Hu 2020Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,9:1

3Modular Synthesis of Diarylalkanes by Nickel-Catalyzed 1,1-Diarylation of Unactivated Terminal Alkenes显示文摘A nickel-catalyzed 1,1-diarylation of electronically unbiased alkenes has been developed,providing straightforward access to diarylalkanes from readily available materials.Importantly,both the efficiency and the regioselectivity of this transformation are ensured by reaction conditions,rather than the coordinating group of substrates.We also demonstrate that under balloon pressure,ethylene and propylene can also be utilized as substrates.Preliminary mechanistic experiments suggest that this transformation involves a Ni(0)/Ni(Ⅱ)catalytic cycle rather than a Ni(Ⅰ)/Ni(Ⅲ)cycle.Zheqi Li Dong Wu Chao Ding Guoyin Yin 2021CCS Chemistry2021,3,1:1
4A new ensemble-based targeted observational method and its application in the TPOS 2020显示文摘Ensemble Kalman filter-based targeted observation is one of the best methods for determining the optimal observational array for oceanic buoy deployment.This study proposes a new algorithm suitable for a‘cross-region and cross-variable’approach by introducing a projection operator into the optimization process.A targeted observational analysis was conducted for El Niño–Southern Oscillation(ENSO)events in the tropical western Pacific for the Tropical Pacific Observation System(TPOS)2020.The prediction target was at the Niño 3.4 region and the first 10 optimal observational sites detected reduced initial uncertainties by 70%,with the best observational array located where the Rossby wave signal dominates.At the vertical level,the most significant contribution was derived from observations near the thermocline.This study provides insights into understanding ENSO-related variability and offers a practical approach to designing an optimal mooring array.It serves as a scientific guidance for designing a TPOS observation network.Weixun Rao Youmin Tang Yanling Wu Zheqi Shen Xiangzhou Song Xiaojing Li Tao Lian Dake Chen Feng Zhou 2023National Science Review2023,10,11:0
5Li-Mg-Si bioceramics provide a dynamic immuno-modulatory and repair-supportive microenvironment for peripheral nerve regeneration显示文摘Biomaterials can modulate the local immune and repair-supportive microenvironments to promote peripheral nerve regeneration. Inorganic bioceramics have been widely used for regulating tissue regeneration and local immune response. However, little is known on whether inorganic bioceramics can have potential for enhancing peripheral nerve regeneration and what are the mechanisms underlying their actions. Here, the inorganic lithium-magnesium-silicon (Li-Mg-Si, LMS) bioceramics containing scaffolds are fabricated and characterized. The LMS-containing scaffolds had no cytotoxicity against rat Schwann cells (SCs), but promoted their migration and differentiation towards a remyelination state by up-regulating the expression of neurotrophic factors in a β-catenin-dependent manner. Furthermore, using single cell-sequencing, we showed that LMS-containing scaffolds promoted macrophage polarization towards the pro-regenerative M2-like cells, which subsequently facilitated the migration and differentiation of SCs. Moreover, implantation with the LMS-containing nerve guidance conduits (NGCs) increased the frequency of M2-like macrophage infiltration and enhanced nerve regeneration and motor functional recovery in a rat model of sciatic nerve injury. 6Catalyst-controlled regiodivergent 1,2-difunctionalization of alkenes with two carbon-based electrophiles显示文摘Regiodivergent catalysis provides an efficient strategic approach for the construction of architecturally different molecules from the same starting materials. In this field, the intermolecular regiodivergent 1,2-difunctionalization of alkenes with two electrophiles is still a challenging task. A ligand-controlled, nickel-catalyzed regiodivergent dicarbofunctionalization of alkenes using both aryl/vinyl halides and acetals as electrophiles under mild reductive reaction conditions has been accomplished. This study provides a general approach to accessing both β-methoxyl esters and γ-methoxyl esters from readily available acrylates,aryl halides and acetals.
