2Sorption of tylosin and sulfamethazine on solid humic acid显示文摘Tylosin(TYL) and sulfamethazine(SMT) are ionizable and polar antimicrobial compounds,which have seeped into the environment in substantial amounts via fertilizing land with manure or sewage. Sorption of TYL and SMT onto humic acid(HA) may affect their environmental fate. In this study, the sorption of TYL and SMT on HA at different conditions(pH, ionic strength) was investigated. All sorption isotherms fitted well to the Henry and Freundlich models and they were highly nonlinear with values of n between 0.5 and 0.8, which suggested that the HA had high heterogeneity. The sorption of TYL and SMT on HA decreased with increasing p H(2.0–7.5), implying that the primary sorption mechanism could be due to cation exchange interactions between TYL^+/SMT^+ species and the functional groups of HA.Increasing ionic strength resulted in a considerable reduction in the K_d values of TYL and SMT,hinting that interactions between H bonds and π–π EDA might be an important factor in the sorption of TYL and SMT on HA. Results of Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) and ~13C-nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) analysis further demonstrated that carboxyl groups and O-alkyl structures in the HA could interact with TYL and SMT via ionic interactions and H bonds,respectively. 3Grapevine VlbZIP30 improves drought resistance by directly activating VvNAC17 and promoting lignin biosynthesis through the regulation of three peroxidase genes显示文摘Drought stress severely affects grapevine quality and yield,and recent reports have revealed that lignin plays an important role in protection from drought stress.Since little is known about lignin-mediated drought resistance in grapevine,we investigated its significance.Herein,we show that VlbZIP30 mediates drought resistance by activating the expression of lignin biosynthetic genes and increasing lignin deposition.Transgenic grapevine plants overexpressing VlbZIP30 exhibited lignin deposition(mainly G and S monomers)in the stem secondary xylem under control conditions,which resulted from the upregulated expression of VvPRX4 and VvPRX72.Overexpression of VlbZIP30 improves drought tolerance,characterized by a reduction in the water loss rate,maintenance of an effective photosynthesis rate,and increased lignin content(mainly G monomer)in leaves under drought conditions.Electrophoretic mobility shift assay,luciferase reporter assays,and chromatin immunoprecipitation-qPCR assays indicated that VlbZIP30 directly binds to the G-box cis-element in the promoters of lignin biosynthetic(VvPRX N1)and drought-responsive(VvNAC17)genes to regulate their expression.In summary,we report a novel VlbZIP30-mediated mechanism linking lignification and drought tolerance in grapevine.The results of this study may be of value for the development of molecular breeding strategies to produce drought-resistant fruit crops.Mingxing Tu Xianhang Wang Wuchen Yin Ya Wang Yajuan Li Guofeng Zhang Zhi Li Junyang Song Xiping Wang 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:5
4Highly Enhanced Visible-Light-Driven Photoelectrochemical Performance of ZnO-Modified In_2S_3 Nanosheet Arrays by Atomic Layer Deposition显示文摘Photoanodes based on In_2S_3/ZnO heterojunction nanosheet arrays(NSAs) have been fabricated by atomic layer deposition of ZnO over In_2S_3 NSAs, which were in situ grown on fluorine-doped tin oxide glasses via a facile solvothermal process. The as-prepared photoanodes show dramatically enhanced performance for photoelectrochemical(PEC) water splitting, compared to single semiconductor counterparts. The optical and PEC properties of In_2S_3/ZnO NSAs have been optimized by modulating the thickness of the Zn O overlayer. After pairing with ZnO, the NSAs exhibit a broadened absorption range and an increased light absorptance over a wide wavelength region of 250–850 nm. The optimized sample of In_2S_3/ZnO-50 NSAs shows a photocurrent density of 1.642 m A cm^(-2)(1.5 V vs. RHE) and an incident photonto-current efficiency of 27.64% at 380 nm(1.23 V vs.RHE), which are 70 and 116 times higher than those of the pristine In_2S_3 NSAs, respectively. 5Prognostic value of interim ^(18)F-FDG PET/CT in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma显示文摘Objective: Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is a heterogeneous disease. The prognostic factor currently used is not accurate enough to predict the outcomes of patients with DLBCL. The prognostic significance of interim PET/CT in DLBCL remains controversial. The aim of this study is to determine the predictive value of interim 18F-FDG PET/CT after first-line treatment in patients with DLBCL. Methods: Thirty-two patients with DLBCL underwent baseline, interim and post-treatment 18F-FDG PET/CT scans. Imaging results were analyzed for the survival of patients via software SPSS 13.0, retrospectively. Results: Thirty-one of the 32 patients were treated with R-CHOP regimen, and interim 18F-FDG PET/CT of 24 patients was performed after 2 cycles of treatment. After a median follow-up period of 16.7 months, the 2-year progression-free survival (PFS) rates were significantly different between the groups above and below SUV max cut-off value of 2.5 (P=0.039). No significant differences were found in the 2-year PFS rates if SUV max cut-off values were set as 2.0 and 3.0, respectively (P=0.360; P=0.113). 6Prognostic value of pre-and post-transplantation 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography results in non-Hodgkin lymphoma patients receiving autologous stem cell transplantation显示文摘Objective: High-dose chemotherapy(HDC) followed by autologous stem cell transplantation(ASCT) is the standard of care in the upfront or relapsed/refractory setting in some patients with non-Hodgkin lymphoma(NHL).However,a proportion of patients do not respond to ASCT.^(18)F-fluorodeoxyglucose(FDG) positron emission tomography(PET)/computed tomography(CT) has been widely used for staging,response evaluation,and prognosis prediction.Here,we investigated the prognostic role of PET/CT in NHL patients before and after ASCT.Methods: A retrospective study was conducted at Peking University Cancer Hospital.All NHL patients who underwent ASCT between March 2010 and July 2016 were identified.Patients who had PET/CT scan before and after ASCT were included.Deauville criteria(5-point scale) were used to interpret PET scans.Univariate and multivariate survival analyses were performed using Cox regression.The predictive value of PET scanning was estimated by comparing the area under the receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve.Results: In total,79 patients were enrolled in this study.In univariate analysis,pre-and post-ASCT PET result was identified as prognostic factors for 3-year progression-free survival(PFS) and overall survival(OS).Patients with negative pre-ASCT PET result demonstrated significantly better PFS(84.2% vs.54.2%) and OS(89.2% vs.63.6%) than patients with positive pre-ASCT PET result.PFS(91.6% vs.25.3%) and OS(96.5% vs.36.8%) were also significantly different between patients with negative and positive post-ASCT PET result.Multivariate analysis also showed a significant association between survival and post-ASCT PET result.ROC analysis revealed that the predictive value of post-ASCT PET result was superior to that of pre-ASCT PET result alone.Combined pre-and post-ASCT PET result is better for predicting outcomes in patients with NHL receiving transplantation.Deauville criteria score >3 was identified as the best cutoff value for post-ASCT PET.Conclusions: Post-ASCT PET result was more important than pre-ASCT PET result in predicting outcomes for NHL patients who underwent ASCT.The prognostic significance can be improved when combining preASCT PET result with post-ASCT PET result.Deauville criteria can be used for interpreting PET scans in this scenario.Zhitao Ying Lan Mi Xuejuan Wang Yuewei Zhang Zhi Yang Yuqin Song Xiaopei Wang WenZheng Ningjing Lin Meifeng Tu Yan Xie Lingyan Ping Chen Zhang Weiping Liu LijuanDeng Jun Zhu 2017Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,6:3
7Quantitative Assessment of Impacts of Regional Climate and Human Activities on Saline-alkali Land Changes:A Case Study of Qian'an County,Jilin Province显示文摘Interdecadal and interannual variations of saline-alkali land area in Qian′an County, Jilin Province, China were comprehensively analyzed in this paper by means of satellite remote sensing interpretation, field flux observations and regional climate diagnosis.The results show that on the interannual scale, the impact of climate factors accounts for 71.6% of the total variation of the saline-alkali land area, and that of human activities accounts for 28.4%.Therefore the impact of climate factors is obviously greater than that of human activities.On the interdecadal scale, the impact of climate factors on the increase of the saline-alkali land area accounts for 43.2%, and that of human activities accounts for 56.8%.The impact of human activities on the variation of saline-alkali land area is very clear on the interdecadal scale, and the negative impact of human activities on the environment should not be negligible.Besides, changes in the area of heavy saline-alkali land have some indication for development of saline-alkali land in Qian′an County.LIAN Yi WANG Jie TU Gang REN Hongling SHEN Baizhu ZHI Keguang LI Shangfeng GAO Zongting 2010Chinese Geographical Science2010,20,1:3
8Internal OH^(-)induced cascade quenching of upconversio n luminesce nee in NaYF4:Yb/Er nanocrystals显示文摘Internal hydroxyl impurity is known as one of the main detrimental factors affecting the upconversion(UC)efficiency of upconversion luminescence(UCL)nanomaterials.Different from surface'ligand-related emission quenching which can be effectively diminished by,e.g.,core'shell structure,internal hydroxyl is easy to be introduced in synthesis but difficult to be quantified and controlled.Therefore,it becomes an obstacle to fully understand the relevant UC mechanism and improve UC efficiency of nanomaterials.Here we report a progress in quantifying and large-range adjustment of the internal hydroxyl impurity in NaYF4 nanocrystals.By combining the spectroscopy study and model simulation,we have quantitatively unraveled the microscopic in teractions underlying UCL que nching between internal hydroxyl and the sensitizers and activators,respectively.Furthermore,the internal hydroxyl-involved UC dynamical process is interpreted with a vivid concept of'Survivor effect' i.e.;the shorter the migration path of an excited state,the larger the possibility of its surviving from hydroxyl-induced quenchi ng.Apart from the consist ent experimental results,this concept can be further evidenced by Monte Carlo simulation,which monitors the variation of energy migration step distribution before and after the hydroxyl introduction.The new quantitative insights shall promote the construction of highly efficient UC materials.Yansong Feng Zhi Li Qiqing Li Jun Yuan Langping Tu Lixin Ning Hong Zhang 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,6:3

11VlbZIP30 of grapevine functions in dehydration tolerance via the abscisic acid core signaling pathway显示文摘Drought stress limits the growth and development of grapevines,thereby reducing productivity,but the mechanisms by which grapevines respond to drought stress remain largely uncharacterized.Here,we characterized a group A bZIP gene from“Kyoho”grapevine,VlbZIP30,which was shown to be induced by abscisic acid(ABA)and dehydration stress.Overexpression of VlbZIP30 in transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana enhanced dehydration tolerance.Transcriptome analysis revealed that a major proportion of ABA-responsive and/or drought-responsive genes are transcriptionally regulated by VlbZIP30 during ABA or mannitol treatment at the cotyledon greening stage.We identified an A.thaliana G-box motif(CACGTG)and a potential grapevine G-box motif(MCACGTGK)in the promoters of the 39 selected A.thaliana genes upregulated in the transgenic plants and in the 35 grapevine homologs,respectively.Subsequently,using two grapevine-related databases,we found that 74%(23/31)and 84%(21/25)of the detected grapevine genes were significantly upregulated by ABA and drought stress,respectively,suggesting that these genes are involved in ABA or dehydration stress and may be regulated by VlbZIP30 in grapevine.We propose that VlbZIP30 functions as a positive regulator of dehydration-responsive signaling in the ABA core signaling pathway.Mingxing Tu Xianhang Wang Yanxun Zhu Dejun Wang Xuechuan Zhang Ye Cui Yajuan Li Min Gao Zhi Li Yuejin Wang Xiping Wang 2018Horticulture Research2018,5,1:2
12A Novel Cholesterol Oxidase Biosensor Based on Pt-nanoparticle/Carbon Nanotube Modified Electrode显示文摘A Pt-nanoparticle/carbon nanotube modified graphite electrode immobilized with cholesterol oxidase/sol-gel layer was developed for monitoring cholesterol. Using this electrode, cholesterol concentration (4.0×10-6 to 1.0×10-4 mol/L) could be determined accurately in the presence of ascorbic or uric acid, and the response time was rapid (< 20 s). 13Prognostic value of ^(18)F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography using Deauville criteria in diffuse large B cell lymphoma treated with autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation显示文摘Objective: High-dose chemotherapy(HDC) followed by autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(auto-HSCT) plays an important role in improving outcomes of diffuse large B cell lymphoma(DLBCL) patients.18 F-fluorodeoxyglucose(18 F-FDG) positron emission tomography(PET)/computed tomography(CT) has been widely accepted in response assessment and prediction of prognosis in DLBCL. Here, we report the value of 18 FFDG PET/CT pre-and post-HSCT in predicting outcomes of patients with DLBCL.Methods: DLBCL patients who had PET/CT scan before and after HSCT were included. PET results were interpreted based upon Deauville criteria. The prognostic value of 18 F-FDG PET/CT in auto-HSCT was evaluated.Results: Eighty-four patients were enrolled. In univariate analysis, pre-and post-HSCT PET findings were correlated with 3-year progression-free survival(PFS) [hazard ratio(HR)=4.391, P=0.001; HR=7.607, P<0.001] and overall survival(OS)(HR=4.792, P=0.008; HR=26.138, P<0.001). Patients receiving upfront auto-HSCT after firstline treatment had better outcomes than relapsed/refractory DLBCL patients(3-year PFS, P<0.001; 3-year OS,P<0.001). In the relapsed/refractory patients, pre-and post-HSCT PET findings were also associated with 3-year PFS(P=0.003 vs. P<0.001) and OS(P=0.027 vs. P<0.001). A significant correlation was observed between clinical response to chemotherapy before auto-HSCT and outcomes of patients in the entire cohort(3-year PFS, P<0.001;3-year OS, P<0.001) and in the subgroup of 21 patients with positive pre-HSCT PET(3-year PFS, P=0.084; 3-year OS, P=0.240). A significant association between survival and post-HSCT PET findings was observed in multivariate analysis(HR=5.168, P<0.001).Conclusions: PET results before and after HSCT are useful prognostic factors for DLBCL patients receiving HSCT. 15Characteristics of Viral Shedding in Respiratory Samples and Specific Antibodies Production in 564 COVID-19 Patients显示文摘Positive nucleic acid(NA)results have been found in recovered and discharged COVID-19 patients,but the proportion is unclear.This study was designed to analyze the recurrent positive rate of NA results after consecutively negative results,and the relationship between the specific antibody production and positive NA rate.According to Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology guidelines,data of inpatients in Sino-French New City Branch of Tongji Hospital between Jan.28 and Mar.6,2020 were collected.A total of 564 COVID-19 patients over 14 years old who received the examinations of NA and antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 were included.Days of viral shedding and specific antibodies were recorded and assessed.Among NA tests in respiratory samples(throat swabs,nasopharyngeal swabs,sputum and flushing fluid in alveoli),the patients with all-negative NA results accounted for 17.20%,those with single-positive results for 46.63%,and those with multiple-positive results for 36.17%respectively.Besides,the recurrent positive NA results after consecutively negative results appeared in 66 patients(11.70%).For multiple-positive patients,median viral shedding duration was 20 days(range:1 to 57 days).Of the 205 patients who received 2 or more antibody tests,141(68.78%)had decreased IgG and IgM concentrations.IgM decreased to normal range in 24 patients,with a median of 44 days from symptom onset.Viral shedding duration was not significantly correlated with gender,age,disease severity,changes in pulmonary imaging,and antibody concentration.It is concluded that antibody level and antibody change had no significant correlation with the positive rate of NA tests and the conversion rate after continuous negative NA tests.In order to reduce the recurrent positive proportion after discharge,3 or more consecutive negative NA test results with test interval more than 24 h every time are suggested for the discharge or release from quarantine.Jing GONG Hui DONG Ding-kun WANG Fu-er LU Zhao-yi HUANG Ke FANG Wen-ya HUANG Fen YUAN Xing CHEN Qing-song XIA Le-yi MA Fan WU Hao SU Min-min GONG Yue-heng TANG Ke-xin NIE Zhi WANG Sheng-hao TU Ming-min ZHANG Jing-bin LI 2021Current Medical Science2021,41,1:1

20Integrative Analyses of Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma in Ten Chinese Patients with Transcriptome Sequencing显示文摘Few effective therapies have been developed for the treatment of lung squamous cell carcinoma(SQCC), in part due to a lack of understanding regarding the mechanisms underlying the initiation and development of this disease. Whole transcriptome sequencing not only provides insight into the expression of all transcribed genes, but offers an efficient approach for identifying genetic variations,including gene fusions, mutations and alternative splicing. In this study, we performed whole transcriptome sequencing of 10 patients with stage IIIA lung SQCC, and discovered a large number of single nucleotide variants(SNVs; mean of 12.2 SNVs/Mb), with C>T/G>A and A>G/T>C transitions being the most frequently observed. Additionally, a total of 132 gene fusions were identified based upon Top Hat alignments, 70.5%(93/132) of which occurred as a result of intra-chromosomal rearrangements. Based on the number of supporting reads for each fusion, we further validated 20 of the 26 top gene fusions by RT-PCR and Sanger sequencing.
