Influence of endogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor on neural differentiation of adult rat hippocampal progenitors显示文摘Ciliary neurotrophic factor is the only known neurotrophic factor that can promote differentiation of hippocampal neural progenitor cells to glial cells and neurons in adult rats. This process is similar to spontaneous differentiation. Therefore, ciliary neurotrophic factor may be involved in spontaneous differentiation of neural stem cells. To verify this hypothesis, the present study isolated neural progenitor cells from adult male rats and cultured them in vitro. Results showed that when neural progenitor cells were cultured in the absence of mitogen fibroblast growth factor-2 or epidermal growth factor, they underwent spontaneous differentiation into neurons and glial cells.Western blot and immunocytochemical staining showed that exogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor strongly induced adult hippocampal progenitor cells to differentiate into neurons and glial cells. Moreover, passage 4 adult hippocampal progenitor cells expressed high levels of endogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor, and a neutralizing antibody against ciliary neurotrophic factor prevented the spontaneous neuronal and glial differentiation of adult hippocampal progenitor cells. These results suggest that the spontaneous differentiation of adult hippocampal progenitor cells is mediated partially by endogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor. | Jun Ding Zhili He Juan Ruan Ying Liu Chengxin Gong Shenggang Sun Honghui Chen | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,4: | 2
Peptide NGR Modified TiO_(2) Nanofiber Substrate for Circulating Tumor Cells Capture显示文摘The analysis of circulating tumor cells(CTCs)allows a noninvasive method of“real-time liquid biopsy”from the blood samples of cancer patients for the diagnosis of early-stage cancer, prognosis, and monitoring therapeutic response. In this study,we develop a simple, inexpensive, and reliable method that utilizes a small molecule peptide, the asparagine-glycine-arginine(NGR),as a capture probe for the selective enrichment and isolation of circulating tumor cells(CTCs).The multiscale TiO_(2) nanofibers are obtained by electrospinning and calcination.Bovine serum albumin(BSA)is decorated onto TiO_(2) nanofiber surfaces to inhibit non-target cell adhesion, while NGR peptides are conjugated onto the TiO_(2)-BSA surface through the glutaraldehyde(GA)to specifically capture the target cells. The TiO_(2)-BSA-NGR substrate exhibits a high capture sensitivity and efficiency from the mimical blood samples with PC-3 cancer cells as low as 10 cells/mL.The TiO_(2) nanofiber substrate can be a promising strategy for the capture and enumeration of CTCs in cancer progression monitoring. | Changchong Chen Zeen Wu Pi Ding Na Sun Hui Liu Yong Chen Zhili Wang Renjun Pei | 2020 | Advanced Fiber Materials2020,2,4: | 2

Replacing fishmeal with soybean meal affects survival, antioxidant capacity, intestinal microbiota, and mRNA expression of TOR and S6K1 in Macrobrachium rosenbergii显示文摘Using alternative plant-derived dietary protein to replace fishmeal, combined with practical evaluation indexes,is a recent focus for aquaculture practices. An 8-week feeding experiment with giant freshwater prawn Macrobrachium rosenbergii post-larvae was conducted to determine the eff ects of replacing fi shmeal(FM)with soybean meal in the feed,in terms of growth performance, antioxidant capacity, intestinal microbiota, and mRNA expression of target of rapamycin(TOR)and ribosomal protein S6 kinase B1(S6K1).Four isonitrogenous diets with isocaloric value were prepared to contain 100%,75%,50%,or 25%FM as the protein source(dietary treatments FM100,FM75,FM50,and FM25,respectively).Each diet was fed to post-larval prawns(mean weight 0.045±0.002 g)twice a day in four replicates. No signifi cant diff erence in weight gain was observed among all groups, but the survival rate of prawns fed the FM50 and FM25 diets was signifi cantly lower than that of prawns fed the FM diet. The mRNA expression of both TOR and S6K1 were the lowest in hepatopancreas of prawns fed the FM25 diet.Superoxide dismutase activity of prawns fed the FM25 diet was significantly lower than that of prawns fed FM50.In contrast, the malondialdehyde content was signifi cantly higher in prawns fed FM25 as compared with those fed FM75.The proportion of fishmeal in the diet did not affect the composition of core(phylum-level)intestinal microbiota, but greater fishmeal replacement with soybean meal had a potential risk to increase the relative abundance of opportunistic pathogens in the gut when considered at the genus level. These results suggest that fishmeal replacement with soybean meal should not exceed 50%in a diet for post-larval M.rosenbergii. | Zhili DING Dongsheng ZHOU Jinxian ZHENG Xuefeng CHEN Youqin KONG Changle QI Yan LIU Qiongying TANG Guoliang YANG Jinyun YE | 2022 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2022,40,2: | 1

Vehicle Matching Based on Similarity Metric Learning显示文摘With the development of new media technology, vehicle matching plays a further significant role in video surveillance systems.Recent methods explored the vehicle matching based on the feature extraction.Meanwhile, similarity metric learning also has achieved enormous progress in vehicle matching. But most of these methods are less effective in some realistic scenarios where vehicles usually be captured in different times. To address this cross-domain problem,we propose a cross-domain similarity metric learning method that utilizes theGANto generate vehicle imageswith another domain and propose the two-channel Siamese network to learn a similarity metric from both domains(i.e.,Day pattern or Night pattern)for vehicle matching. To exploit properties and relationships among vehicle datasets,we first apply the domain transformer to translate the domain of vehicle images, and then utilize the two-channel Siamese network to extract features from both domains for better feature similarity learning.Experimental results illustrate that our models achieve improvements over state-of-the-arts. | Yujiang Li Chun Ding Zhili Zhou | 2022 | Journal of New Media2022,4,1: | 0
Plasma Extracellular Vesicle MicroRNA Analysis of Alzheimer’s Disease Reveals Dysfunction of a Neural Correlation Network显示文摘Small extracellular vesicle(sEV)is an emerging source of potential biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease(AD),but the role of microRNAs(miRNAs)in sEV is not well understood. In this study,we conducted a comprehensive analysis of sEV-derived miRNAs in AD using small RNA sequencing and coexpression network analysis. We examined a total of 158 samples, including 48 from AD patients,48 from patients with mild cognitive impairment(MCI),and 62 from healthy controls. We identified an miRNA network module(M1)that was strongly linked to neural function and showed the strongest association with AD diagnosis and cognitive impairment. The expression of miRNAs in the module was decreased in both AD and MCI patients compared to controls.Conservation analysis revealed that M1 was highly preserved in the healthy control group but dysfunctional in the AD and MCI groups, suggesting that changes in the expression of miRNAs in this module may be an early response to cognitive decline prior to the appearance of AD pathology. We further validated the expression levels of the hub miRNAs in M1 in an independent population. The functional enrichment analysis showed that 4 hub miRNAs might interact with a GDF11-centered network and play a critical role in the neuropathology of AD.In summary, our study provides new insights into the role of sEV-derived miRNAs in AD and suggests that M1 miRNAs may serve as potential biomarkers for the early diagnosis and monitoring of AD. | Yuzhe Sun Zhen Hefu Benchao Li Wang Lifang Song Zhijie Li Zhou Yan Deng Liu Zhili Jiahong Ding Tao Li Wenwei Zhang Nie Chao Shuang Rong | 2023 | Research2023,,4: | 0

An Outbreak of Dengue Virus Type 1--Jiangxi Province,China,2019显示文摘What is known about this topic?Dengue fever is an acute febrile illness caused by four types of dengue virus(DENV 1–4),and is a mosquitoborne infectious disease. The incidence of dengue has increased dramatically around the world in recent decades. An estimated of 3.9 billion people in 128 countries are at risk of infection with dengue viruses,70%of whom are in Asia.In 2017,the first local infections of dengue virus(DENV-2)in Jiangxi Province was reported in Zhanggong District,Ganzhou City. What is added by this report? From August to September 2019,the first dengue outbreak happened in Xin’gan County, where 81 local dengue fever cases were reported,35 were laboratoryconfirmed cases, and 46 were clinically-diagnosed cases;all cases were dengue virus type 1.The DENV-virus strains isolated from the cases of Xin’gan County were close to the strains isolated in Singapore(MF033254|25657|Singapore|2016)and Henan(MK905537|He nan201903|China:Henan Province|2019).What are the implications for public health practice? The outbreak might have been caused by imported cases or covert infections. The outbreak in Xin’gan County indicated that more proactive countermeasures should be taken during the dengue epidemic period such as intensifying surveillance for dengue cases, virus serotype, and Aedes vector density and strengthening cooperation with customs and tourism departments. Moreover, the outbreak should prompt training in medical institutions and improved ability for doctor’s to diagnose dengue fever, which is very important for early detection of dengue cases and taking preventive measures. | Fuqiang Yang Guanghui Xia Zhili Zeng Zhongjian Li Huijian Cheng Daping Che Jun Zong Jianxiong Li Tian Gong Guihua Liu Weidong Zhou Bihai Wei Xiaobo Liu Jiandong Li Sheng Ding | 2020 | China CDC weekly2020,2,35: | 0
Blockchain-Based Decentralized Reputation Management System for Internet of Everything in 6G-Enabled Cybertwin Architecture显示文摘Internet of Everything(IoE)has emerged as a promising paradigm for the purpose of connecting and exchanging data among physical objects and humans over the Internet, and it can be widely applied in the fields of industry, transportation, commerce, and education.Recently, the emergence of 6G-enabled cybertwin network architecture provides the technical and theoretical foundation for the realization of IoE paradigm. However, the IoE has three open issues in the 6G-enabled cybertwin architecture,i.e.,data authenticity, data storage and node reliability. To address these issues,we propose a blockchain-based decentralized reputation management system(BC-DRMS)for IoE in 6G-enabled Cybertwin architecture. In the proposed BC-DRMS,the traffic data collected from end nodes is stored on the blockchain and the decentralized file system,i.e.,InterPlanetary File System(IPFS),to resist data tampering, and then the data is further processed by the edge clouds and core clouds to provide services to users. Also,a multi-level reputation evaluation scheme is designed to compute the reputation scores of IoE nodes to prevent malicious node attacks. The experiment results and analysis demonstrate that, compared to the traditional centralized reputation management systems(CRMS),the proposed BC-DRMS cannot only address the issues of data authenticity and storage, but also provides high reliability for IoE in 6G-enabled cybertwin architecture. | Meimin Wang Zhili Zhou Chun Ding | 2021 | Journal of New Media2021,3,4: | 0
