| 2 | Comparative analysis between endometrial proteomes of pregnant and non-pregnant ewes during the peri-implantation period显示文摘Background:Early pregnancy failure has a profound impact on both human reproductive health and animal production.2/3 pregnancy failures occur during the peri-implantation period;however,the underlying mechanism(s)remains unclear.Well-organized modification of the endometrium to a receptive state is critical to establish pregnancy.Aberrant endometrial modification during implantation is thought to be largely responsible for early pregnancy loss.Result:In this study,using well-managed recipient ewes that received embryo transfer as model,we compared the endometrial proteome between pregnant and non-pregnant ewes during implantation period.After embryo transfer,recipients were assigned as pregnant or non-pregnant ewes according to the presence or absence of an elongated conceptus at Day 17 of pregnancy.By comparing the endometrial proteomic profiles between pregnant and non-pregnant ewes,we identified 94 and 257 differentially expressed proteins(DEPs) in the endometrial caruncular and intercaruncular areas,respectively.Functional analysis showed that the DEPs were mainly associated with immune response,nutrient transport and utilization,as well as proteasome-mediated proteolysis.Conclusion:These analysis imply that dysfunction of these biological processes or pathways of DEP in the endometrium is highly associated with early pregnancy loss.In addition,many proteins that are essential for the establishment of pregnancy showed dysregulation in the endometrium of non-pregnant ewes.These proteins,as potential candidates,may contribute to early pregnancy loss. | Haichao Zhao Linlin Sui Kai Miao Lei An Dong Wang Zhuocheng Hou Rui Wang Min Guo Zhilong Wang Jiqiang Xu Zhonghong Wu Jianhui Tian | 2015 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2015,6,3: | 8 |
| 3 | Comprehensive Mineral Nutrition Analysis of Watermelon Grafted onto Two Different Rootstocks显示文摘Grafting is a widely used practice in fruit-bearing vegetables. However, why grafting affects plant growth, fruit yield, and quality, especially from the aspect of mineral nutrition, remains unclear. In this study, watermelon cultivar ‘Zaojia 8424' was grafted onto bottle gourd ‘Jingxinzhen1'(Lagenaria siceraria) and pumpkin ‘Qingyanzhen 1'(Cucurbita maxima × C. moschata). Non-grafted plants were used as the control. Results show that rootstock grafting significantly increases plant growth and single fruit weight of watermelon. Watermelon grafted onto rootstocks, especially pumpkin, exhibits significantly higher root volume, root surface area, and number of root tips and forks in comparison with non-grafted plants. Fruit flesh, rind firmness, and rind thickness were enhanced by grafting. However, fruit soluble solids and taste significantly decreased in plants grafted onto pumpkin. The total uptake(mg · plant^(-1)) and concentration(mg · g^(-1)DW) of N, K, Ca, Fe, Mg, and Mn in root, stem, leaf,fruit rind, and flesh were generally higher in grafted plants compared to non-grafted ones, especially for N of pumpkin rootstock-grafted plants.The total uptake of nutrients of plants grafted onto bottle gourd and pumpkin was increased by 30.41% and 49.14% at fruit development stage and by 21.33% and 47.46% at fruit maturation stage, respectively, compared with non-grafted plants. | 5 | Intelligent classification model of surrounding rock of tunnel using drilling and blasting method显示文摘Classification of surrounding rock is the cornerstone of tunnel design and construction.The traditional methods are mainly qualitative and manual and require extensive professional knowledge and engineering experience.To minimize the effect of the empirical judgment on the accuracy of surrounding rock classification,it is necessary to reduce human participation.An intelligent classification technique based on information technology and artificial intelligence could overcome these issues.In this regard,using 299 groups of drilling parameters collected automatically using intelligent drill jumbos in tunnels for the Zhengzhou-Wanzhou high-speed railway in China,an intelligent-classification surrounding-rock database is constructed in this study.Based on a machine learning algorithm,an intelligent classification model is then developed,which has an overall accuracy of 91.9%.Finally,using the core of the model,the intelligent classification system for the surrounding rock of drilled and blasted tunnels is integrated,and the system is carried by intelligent jumbos to perform automatic recording and transmission of drilling parameters and intelligent classification of the surrounding rock.This approach provides a foundation for the dynamic design and construction(both conventional and intelligent)of tunnels. | Mingnian Wang Siguang Zhao Jianjun Tong Zhilong Wang Meng Yao Jiawang Li Wenhao Yi | 2021 | Underground Space2021,6,5: | 5 |
| 6 | Co-strengthening contribution of δ′and T_1 precipitates in Al-Li alloys 2090 and 2090+Ce显示文摘The microstructure of dislocation in two kinds of aluminum-lithium alloys 2090 and 2090 + Ce was observed by means of TEM technology. The contributions of δ′ and T1 precipitates to strength were separately calculated by using the results of quantitative metallography and analysis of micro-deformation behavior; the co-strengthening effect of δ′ and T1 precipitates was studied. The results show that the adding relationship of co-strengthening of δ′ and T1 is in accordance with q = 1.4 form at the near peak-aged condition, i.e., 11.4 1.4 1.4?τ p = ?τ δ’ + ? τT; but the adding relationship is approximately a linear relation (q = 1) at the under-aged condition and becomes the parabola form when over-aged (q = 2). | 7 | Yield photosynthesis and leaf anatomy of maize in inter-and mono-cropping systems at varying plant densities显示文摘Increasing plant density can increase cereal crop yields. However, the physiological and anatomical mechanisms of grain yield increase at high plant densities in maize-based intercropping systems are not well understood. A two-year field experiment was conducted in 2018 and 2019 to investigate grain yield, photosynthetic characteristics, stomatal traits, and leaf anatomy of maize plants in an intercropping system with high plant densities. Two cropping patterns(monocropping and intercropping) and three plant densities(D1, 78,000 plants ha^(-1);D2, 103,500 plants ha^(-1);D3, 129,000 plants ha;were arranged in a randomized block design. Increasing maize plant density significantly increased maize yield, and intercropping gave a significant yield advantage over monocropping under the same plant density. Intercropping combined with high plant density increased the leaf area and SPAD value of maize,increasing the photosynthesis rates after the harvest of pea. At the twelfth leaf stage, the stomatal density and stomatal area of intercrops combined with medium plant density increased by respectively 10.5%and 18.4% relative to their values for the corresponding density of monocrops. Although leaf thickness of maize was reduced by increasing plant density, the chloroplast number and grana lamella number were higher in intercropping than in monocropping under different plant densities. | 16 | The measurement of internal surface characteristics of fuel nozzle orifices using the synchrotron X-ray micro CT technology显示文摘The design of fuel nozzle orifices at micrometer scales is crucial for generating desired fuel spray patterns, and consequently optimizing fuel combustion and emission in internal combustion engines. Although there have been several recent advancements in the characterization of orifice internal geometries, quantitative studies on the orifice internal wall surface characteristics are still challeges due to the lack of effective measuring methods. A new method for quantifying the internal wall surface characteristics of fuel nozzle micro-orifices is presented in this study to achieve a better understanding and prediction of spray characteristics: Firstly, by using the synchrotron X-ray micro CT technology, a three-dimensional digital model of the fuel nozzle tip was constructed. Secondly, a data post-processing technique was then applied to unfold the orifice internal wall surface to a flat base plane. Finally, the conventional surface characteristic quantification techniques can be used to evaluate the wall surface characteristics. Two diesel nozzles with identical orifice geometry design but different hydraulic grinding time were measured using this method. One nozzle was hydro-ground for 2 s while the other was not. The internal wall surfaces of the two orifices were successfully unfolded to base planes and their surface characteristics were respectively analyzed. The surface fluctuation data were perfectly reproduced by a Gaussian distribution function. The standard deviations of the distribution demonstrate the fluctuation range and the distribution of the entire surface fluctuation profiles.
