1Parameter estimation of DSSS signals in non-cooperative communication system显示文摘A new adaptive estimator for direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) signals using fourth-order cumulant based adaptive method is considered. The general higher-order statistics may not be easily applied in signal processing with too complex computation. Based on the fourth-order cumulant with 1-D slices and adaptive filters, an efficient algorithm is proposed to solve the problem and is extended for nonstationary stochastic processes. In order to achieve the accurate parameter estimation of direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) signals, the first step uses the modified fourth-order cumulant to reduce the computing complexity. While the second step employs an adaptive recursive system to estimate the power spectrum in the frequency domain. In the case of intercepted signals without large enough data samples, the estimator provides good performance in parameter estimation and white Gaussian noise suppression. 2Elevation estimation for low-angle target based on reffection paths suppression显示文摘In the signal processing for metrewave radar, the reffection paths of target echoes can cause severe error in the elevation estimation for the low-angle target tracking. The exact angles of the reffection paths are unknown beforehand, and therefore, the reffection paths can not be suppressed easily. Therefore, in this article, an improved reffection paths suppression approach is presented. A block matrix aggregate is constructed based on the possible angles of the reffection paths. Combined with the beamforming-like processing, a generalized maximum likelihood estimation is derived to optimize the estimation. Moreover, the noise reduction method based on the Toeplitz covariance matrix is used for better performance. This approach is applied to the real data collected by the low-angle tracking radar with 8-channel vertical array. 3Deterministic simulation of UWB indoor propagation channel显示文摘A site-specific model of UWB pulse propagation in indoor environment is addressed. The simula-tion utilizes the principles of geometrical optics (GO) for direct and refiected paths' tracing and the time domain technique for describing the transient electromagnetic field reected from wall, floor, ceiling, and objects. The polarization of the received waveform is determined by taking into account the radiation pattern of the transmitting and receiving antennas, as well as the polarization changes owing to every reflection. 5Characterizing Ultra-wide Band indoor line-of-sight wireless channel显示文摘By exploring the deterministic characteristics of the measurement data, a new propagation model with two deterministic clusters and stochastic arriving rays within each cluster is proposed. When considering the cumulative distribution function (CDF) of the three key channel statistics, the proposed model fits the measurement data better than SV/IEEE 802.15.3, a model which is known as a standard model for UWB indoor propagation channel. Therefore, with the additional knowledge of the specific environment geometry, the proposed model generating impulse responses 'resemble' the measured channel impulse responses better than IEEE model. 6The safety parameters of the study on intraductal cytotoxic agent delivery to the breast before mastectomy显示文摘Background: Intraductal administration of cytotoxic agents has been shown to inhibit the development of breast cancer in animal models. The object of this study was to demonstrate the safety of intraductal delivery cytotoxic agents in patients prior to mastectomy. This method is hopeful to be developed as a chemoprevention approach in patients with pre-malignant or non-invasive ductal lesions to prevent breast cancer which will be further developed.Methods: Two drugs, pegylated liposomal doxorubicin(PLD) and carboplatin were administered at three dose levels(PLD: 10, 20, 50 mg and carboplatin 60, 120, 300 mg). There were five subjects in each group with 15 subjects treated with each drug once. Venous blood samples were obtained for pharmacokinetic analysis. The breast was removed surgically 2-5 days post administration and the treated ducts were marked to enable identification on pathological evaluation. Results: Intraductal administration was generally well-tolerated with mild, transient breast discomfort. In the carboplatin arm, three women at the 300 mg dose experienced mild nausea and vomiting. In the PLD arm most women had mild erythema and swelling of the breast over the 72 hours following the drug administration. Patients receiving the 50 mg dose experienced local erythema until the time of surgery. Pharmacokinetic analysis showed that carboplatin rapidly entered systemic circulation with an early peak time(T max ~30 min) with a corresponding plasma ultrafiltrate area under the curve(AUC) consistent with the Calvert Formula using estimated glomerular filtration rate(GFR). Total plasma doxorubicin had delayed peak concentration times(T max >48 hours) with a linear dose response and peak concentrations substantially lower than expected from equivalent intravenous injection dosing. No doxorubicinol metabolite was detected in the plasma. Conclusions: This study demonstrates that cytotoxic drugs can be safely administered into breast ducts with minimal toxicity.Bailin Zhang Susan M. 8Analysis and Simulation for Capacity of Time Division-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access System显示文摘Capacity both in uplink and downlink of TD-SCDMA (time division-synchronous code division multiple access)system is studied in a multi-cell environment. The theoretical expressions of the mean of intercell interference in uplinkand the mean of sum of power allocation in downlink are given, by which uplink and downlink capacity is analyzed.Furthermore, we give the simulation models for both uplink and downlink capacity. The results from theoretical analysisand simulation fit very well. 9Resource allocation with CCI suppression for multiuser MIMO-OFDM downlink in correlated channels显示文摘To minimize the overall transmit power while maintaining a constant data rate and target BER, a downlink adaptive resource allocation algorithm with jointing the exclusive manner and the shared manner is proposed for multiuser MIMO-OFDM system in correlated channels. The algorithm allocates all the subcarriers to different users according to their spatial correlations. The users with high spatial correlation are allocated in the same group and the exclusive manner is applied. The shared manner with an improved null broadening method, which improves the performance of co-channel interference (CCI) suppression and decreases the number of transmit antennas required, is applied between the different group users. As the user's direction of departure (DOD) changes very slowly, a looking up table method is used to reduce the computational complexity. 13The role of porosity and 3D cross-stent configuration of multiple overlapping uncovered stents in the management of complex aortic aneurysms-Insights from haemodynamics显示文摘Background:Multiple overlapping uncovered stents(MOUS)have been introduced to manage complex aortic aneurysms with vital branches involvement.It has been shown that the porosity is a key determinant of the treatment outcome.However,the role of 3D cross-stent configuration remains unclear.Methods:One patient with a complex aortic aneurysm judged not suitable for open surgery nor endovascular repair was invited to participate this study.In total,four bare metal stents were deployed.3D lesion geometry was reconstructed based on pre-and post-operative CTA,and the zero-pressure configuration was recovered using an inverse procedure.Local haemodynamic parameters,including wall shear stress(WSS),oscillatory shear index(OSI),and particle relative resident time(RRT),as well as the vessel structural stress(VSS),were quantified using one-way fluid-structure interaction(FSI)analysis.In comparison to MOUS,a corresponding compact model was reconstructed by projecting inner layer stents to the most outer layer to form a single layer to eliminate the 3D cross-stent configuration and one-way FSI analysis was performed.Results:Results obtained showed that the porosity decreased linearly with the number of stents.When the 1st stent was deployed,the mean velocity decreased 36.4%and further reduction of 49.3%,59.8%,and 62.8%were observed when the 2nd,3rd and 4th stents were deployed.WSS also decreased with the number of stents deployed,and both OSI and RRT increased,but the increase was very minor with the 4th stent.MOUS deployment induced high VSS concentration in the landing zone while the VSS and pressure in the sac remained nearly unchanged.The compact model yielded a small difference in the value of flow-related parameters and 10%–20%reduction in VSS.Conclusion:Compared with porosity,the 3D cross-stent of MOUS configuration plays a minor role in the modulation of local haemodynamics.A compact model does not reduce high VSS concentration in the diseased region significantly.Shuo Wang Yongxue Zhang Jianxuan Feng Yuan Huang Pinjing Hui Jonathan H.Gillard Qingsheng Lu Zhongzhao Teng 2019Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2019,,3:0

15Study on the Class-Based Admission Control Scheme for DiffServ in MPLS Networks显示文摘Differentiated services (DiffServ) and MPLS are two major building blocks for providing multi-class services over IP networks. In order to respond to the need for relatively simple, coarse methods of providing different levels of service for Internet traffic, to support various types of applications and specific business requirements, the MPLS network infrastructure and the DiffServ traffic model will work together. Meanwhile, in today's environment of multiple service networks, it is necessary for the node in the networks to perform the control mechanism to guarantee various QoS. In this paper, we propose a class-based admission control scheme that is suitable for DiffServ in MPLS networks. This scheme can achieve twofold objects: reliable QoS provisioning and high resource utilization. We evaluate the proposed scheme by numerical analysis of its performance in terms of throughput, delay, and reject probability. 16Optimal antenna placement in distributed antenna systems显示文摘To minimize the outage probability of the cell (OPC) in downlink distributed antenna systems with selection transmission, a complex-encoding genetic algorithm (GA) is proposed to find the optimal locations of the antenna elements (AEs). First, the outage probability at a fixed location in the cell is investigated. Next, an analytical expression of the OPC is derived, which is a function of the AE locations. Then the OPC is used as the objective function of the antenna placement optimization problem, and the complexencoding GA is used to find the optimal AE locations in the cell. Numerical results show that the optimal AE locations are symmetric about the cell center, and the outage probability contours are also given with the optimal antenna placement. The algorithm has a good convergence and can also be used to determine the number of AEs which should be installed in order to satisfy the certain OPC value. Lastly, verification of the OPC's analytical expression is carried out by Monte Carlo simulations. 18A Re-Configurable Dual-Mode Delay-Aware Scheduling and Resource Allocation for LTE System显示文摘Long Term Evolution( LTE) has been proposed as an advanced wireless radio access technology to provide higher peak data rates and better spectral utilization efficiency,but the classical scheduling and resource allocation algorithms cannot optimally enhance the system performance due to high computational complexity. In this paper,a re-configurable dual mode delay-aware( CDD) scheduling and resource allocation algorithm is proposed to achieve the joint consideration of scheduling pattern,scheduling priority and quantity of scheduled data. In this study,dual-mode scheduling mechanism is associated with three configurable parameters and the CDD algorithm is involved to guarantee queuing delay with low loss of resource utilization and fairness.The computational cost of the scheduling and resource allocation algorithm is significantly reduced by efficiently utilizing Qo S Class Identifier( QCI) and Channel Quality Indicator( CQI) defined by LTE standards.
