| 1 | Transmission routes of 2019-nCoV and controlsin dental practice显示文摘A novel β-coronavirus(2019-nCoV) caused severe and even fatal pneumonia explored in a seafood market of Wuhan city, Hubei province, China, and rapidly spread to other provinces of China and other countries. The 2019-nCoV was different from SARS-Co V,but shared the same host receptor the human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2). The natural host of 2019-nCoV may be the bat Rhinolophus affinis as 2019-nCoV showed 96.2% of whole-genome identity to Bat Co V Ra TG13. The person-to-person transmission routes of 2019-nCoV included direct transmission, such as cough, sneeze, droplet inhalation transmission, and contact transmission, such as the contact with oral, nasal, and eye mucous membranes. 2019-nCoV can also be transmitted through the saliva, and the fecal–oral routes may also be a potential person-to-person transmission route. The participants in dental practice expose to tremendous risk of 2019-nCoV infection due to the face-to-face communication and the exposure to saliva, blood, and other body fluids, and the handling of sharp instruments. Dental professionals play great roles in preventing the transmission of2019-nCoV. | 5 | SHRIMP zircon U-Pb dating from K-bentonite in the top of Ordovician of Wangjiawan Section,Yichang,Hubei,China显示文摘The Global boundary Stratotype Section and Point (GSSP) for the base of the Hirnantian Stage (the latest stage of the Ordovician System) is defined at a point 0.39m below the base of the Kuanyinchiao Bed in the Wangjiawan North Section, which is the upper most 'golden spike' of the Ordovician. However, this 'golden spike' is lack of reliable geochronology data. This article gives a sensitive high resolution ion microprobe (SHRIMPII) zircon U-Pb dating for a K-bentonite sample from the Kuany-inchiao Bed in the Wangjiawan North Section. The age of the K-bentonite sample is 443.2±1.6 Ma, that is to say, the isotopic age of the uppermost of Hirnantian Stage, the point of Ordovician-Silurian boundary, should be near to, but slightly younger than 443.2±1.6 Ma. This age is identical to the Ordovi-cian-Silurian boundary age 443.7±1.5 Ma as declared by International Commission on Stratigraphy (ICS). | 6 | ZmMs30 Encoding a Novel GDSL Lipase Is Essential for Male Fertility and Valuable for Hybrid Breeding in Maize显示文摘Genic male sterility (GMS) is very useful for hybrid vigor utilization and hybrid seed production. Although a large number of GMS genes have been identified in plants, little is known about the roles of GDSL lipase members in anther and pollen development. Here, we report a maize GMS gene, ZmMs30, which encodes a novel type of GDSL lipase with diverged catalytic residues. Enzyme kinetics and activity assays show that ZmMs30 has lipase activity and prefers to substrates with a short carbon chain. ZmMs30 is specifically expressed in maize anthers during stages 7-9. Loss of ZmMs30 function resulted in defective anther cuticle, irregular foot layer of pollen exine, and complete male sterility. Cytological and lipidomics analyses demonstrate that ZmMs30 is crucial for the aliphatic metabolic pathway required for pollen exine formation and anther cuticle development. Furthermore, we found that male sterility caused by loss of ZmMs30 function was stable in various inbred lines with different genetic background, and that it didn't show any negative effect on maize heterosis and production, suggesting that ZmMs30 is valuable for crossbreeding and hybrid seed production. We then developed a new multi-control sterility system using ZmMs30 and its mutant line, and demonstrated it is feasible for generating desirable GMS lines and valu. able for hybrid maize seed production. | 7 | Endoscopic Palliative Treatment for Malignant Obstructive Jaundice: A Report of 929 Cases显示文摘Objective:To review the experience with endoscopic palliative treatment for malignant obstructive jaundice (MOJ) in 929 patients. Methods:929 patients (598 males and 331 females) underwent 1215 endoscopic palliative drainages for MOJ in our hospital. Tumor obstruetion oeeurred in the distal common bile duet(CBD)(263 patients), the middle CBD (43),and the hilum(909).The mean bilirubin level was 284.3 μmol/L(range 26-810). Of the 1215 drainages, 599 were performed by stenting with plastic endoprosthesis, 385 by naso-biliary eatheterization, 167 by expandable metal stents,39 by combined drainage method,19 by tumor sphincterotomy and 6 by endoseopie fistulostomy. Results:The successful rate of endoscopic procedure was 94.3%. The jaundice symptom was improved in 81.8% of the patients with a significant reduetion of serum bilirubin in 64.7%. The complication after treatment occurred in 23 eases (2.6%), including eholangitis(23 eases), panereatitis (8 eases), and bleeding (one ease), and 3 eases were dead (0.2%).The median survival time of all patients was 14 months and life time analysis showed a life expectancy of 75.9%, 44.0% and 25.2% at 1, 2 and 3 years respectively. Conclusion:In the patients with MOJ seeondary to panereatobiliary malignancy, sueeessful endoscopic drainage provides adequate relief of biliary obstruetion and is associated with low morbidity and mortality. | 8 | One-step synthesis and electromagnetic absorption properties of high entropy rare earth hexaborides(HE REB6)and high entropy rare earth hexaborides/borates(HE REB6/HE REB03)composite powders显示文摘Considering the emergence of severe electromagnetic interference problems,it is vital to develop electromagnetic(EM)wave absorbing materials with high dielectric,magnetic loss and optimized impedance matching.However,realizing the synergistic dielectric and magnetic losses in a single phase material is still a challenge.Herein,high entropy(HE)rare earth hexaborides(REB6)powders with coupling of dielectric and magnetic losses were designed and successfully synthesized through a facial one-step boron carbide reduction method,and the effects of high entropy borates intermedia phases on the EM wave absorption properties were investigated.Five HE REB6 ceramics including(Ce0.2Y0.2Sm0.2Er0.2Yb0.2)B6,(Ce0.2Hu0.2Sm0.2Er0.2Yb0.2)B6,(Ce0.2Y0.2Eu0.2Er0.2Yb0.2)B6,(Ce0.2Ya2Sm0.2Eu0.2Yb0.2)B6,and(Nd0.2Y0.2Sm0.2Eu0.2Yb0.2)B6 possess CsCl-type cubic crystal structure,and their theoretical densities range from 4.84 to 5.25 g/cm^(3).(Ce02Y0.2Sm0.2Er0.2Yb02)B6 powders with the average particle size of 1.86 jim were found to possess the best EM wave absorption properties among these hexaborides.The RLmin value of(Ce0.2Y0.2Sm0.2Er0.2Yb0.2)B6 reaches-33.4 dB at 11.5 GHz at thickness of 2 mm;meanwhile,the optimized effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)is 3.9 GHz from 13.6 to 17.5 GHz with a thickness of 1.5 mm.The introduction of HE REB03(RE=Ce,Y,Sm,Eu,Er,Yb)as intermediate phase will give rise to the mismatching impedance,which will further lead to the reduction of reflection loss.Intriguingly,the HEREB6/HEREB03 still possess wide effective absorption bandwidth of 4.1 GHz with the relative low thickness of 1.7 mm.Considering the better stability,low density,and good EM wave absorption properties,HE REB6 ceramics are promising as a new type of EM wave absorbing materials. | Weiming ZHANG Biao ZHAO Huimin XIANG Fu-Zhi DAI Shijiang WU Yanchun ZHOU | 2021 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2021,10,1: | 15 |
| 9 | Electromagnetic wave absorbing properties of TMCs(TM=Ti,Zr,Hf,Nb and Ta)and high entropy(Ti0.2Zr0.2Hf0.2Nb0.2Ta0.2)C显示文摘Electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorbing materials play a vital role in modern communication and information processing technologies to inhibit information leakage and prevent possible damages to environment and human bodies.Currently,most of EMW absorbing materials are either composites of two or more phases or in the form of nanosheets,nanowires or nanofibers in order to enhance the EMW absorption performance through dielectric loss,magnetic loss and dielectric/magnetic loss coupling.However,the combination of complex shapes/multi phases and nanosizes may compound the difficulties of materials processing,composition and interfaces control as well as performance maintenance during service.Thus,searching for single phase materials with good stability and superior EMW absorbing properties is appealing.To achieve this goal,the EMW absorbing properties of transition metal carbides TMCs(TM=Ti,Zr,Hf,Nb and Ta)and high entropy(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2))C which belong to ultrahigh temperature ceramics,were investigated in this work.Due to the good electrical conductivity and splitting of d orbitals into lower energy t2glevel and higher energy eglevel in TMC6octahedral arrangement,TMCs(TM=Ti,Zr,Hf,Nb and Ta)exhibit good EMW absorbing properties.Especially,Hf C and Ta C exhibit superior EMW absorbing properties.The minimum reflection loss(RLmin)value of Hf C is-55.8 d B at 6.0 GHz with the thickness of 3.8 mm and the effective absorption bandwidth(E_(AB))is 6.0 GHz from 12.0 to 18.0 GHz at thickness of 1.9 mm;the RL_(minvalue)of Ta C reaches-41.1 d B at 16.2 GHz with a thickness of 2.0 mm and the EABis 6.1 GHz with a thickness of 2.2 mm.Intriguingly,the electromagnetic parameters,i.e.,complex permittivity and permeability are tunable by forming single phase solid solution or high entropy(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2))C.The R_(Lminvalue)of high entropy(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2))C is-38.5 d B at 9.5 GHz with the thickness of 1.9 mm,and the EABis 2.3 GHz(from 11.3 to 13.6 GHz)at thickness of 1.5 mm.The significance of this work is that it opens a new window to design single phase high performance EMW absorbing materials by dielectric/magnetic loss coupling through tuning the conductivity and crystal field splitting energy of d orbitals of transition metals in carbides,nitrides and possibly borides. | Yanchun Zhou Biao Zhao Heng Chen Huimin Xiang Fu-Zi Dai Shijiang Wu Wei Xu | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,15: | 13 |
| 10 | Numerical study on ULF waves in a dipole field excited by sudden impulse显示文摘A three-dimensional numerical model is employed to investigate ULF waves ex-cited by the sudden impulse (SI) of the solar wind dynamic pressure interacting with a dipole magnetosphere. We focus on the solar wind-magnetosphere energy coupling through ULF waves, and the influences of the SI spectrum on the cavity mode structure and the energy deposition due to field line resonances (FLRs) in the magnetosphere. The numerical results show that for a given SI lasting for 1 min with amplitude of 50 mV/m impinging on the subsolar magnetopause, the total ULF energy transported from the solar wind to the magnetosphere is about the magni-tude of 1014 J. The efficiency of the solar wind energy input is around 1%, which depends little on the location of the magnetopause in the model. It is also found that the energy of the cavity mode is confined in the region near the magnetopause, whereas, the energy of the toroidal mode may be distributed among a few specific L-shells. With a given size of the model magnetosphere and plasma density distri-bution, it is shown that the fundamental eigenfrequency of the cavity mode and the central locations of the FLRs do not vary noticeably with the power spectrum of the SI. It is worth noting that the spectrum of the SI affects the excitation of higher harmonics of the global cavity mode. The broader the bandwidth of the SI is, the higher harmonics of cavity mode could be excited. However, the applications of common EM absorbing materials are encumbered by poor high-temperature stability, poor oxidation resistance, narrow absorption bandwidth or high density. Herein, the strong EM absorption capability and wide efficient absorption bandwidth of high entropy ceramics are reported for the first time, which are designed by a combination of the novel high entropy(HE) rare earth silicide carbides/rare earth oxides(RE3 Si2 C2/RE2 O3). Three HE powders, i.e., HERSC-1(HE(Tm0.2 Y0.2 Dy0.2 Gd0.2 Tb0.2)3 Si2 C2),HERSC-2 HE(Tm0.2 Y0.2 Dy0.2 Gd0.2 Tb0.2)3 Si2 C2/HE(Tm0.2 Y0.2 Dy0.2 Gd0.2 Tb0.2)2 O3) and HERSC-3(HE(Tm0.2 Y0.2 Dy0.2 Gd0.2 Tb0.2)3 Si2 C2/HE(Tm0.2 Y0.2 Dy0.2 Gd0.2 Tb0.2)2 O3), are synthesized. | 13 | Multi-spacecraft observations of ULF waves during the recovery phase of magnetic storm on October 30, 2003显示文摘Based on observations obtained by Cluster C1, GOES 10, 12, and Polar, the global ULF wave properties are studied during the recovery phase of a very intense magnetic storm-Halloween storm (October 31, 2003, 21:00-23:00 UT). The results indicate that the ULF waves’ properties observed by different satellites, such as amplitude, period, etc. show large variations. This can be interpreted as that Field Line Resonance (FLR) might take place in the region where Cluster C1 passed. The compressional wave of the cavity mode coupled with FLR’s shear Alfven wave and fed energy to the latter, forming a large-amplitude toroidal mode. From the point of period, Cluster C1 observed the shortest period, GOES 10, 12 observed the middle, while Polar observed the longest. The wave period of toroidal mode observed by Cluster C1 kept almost unchanging when Cluster C1 passed L range from 11.7 to 5.3. Using the Squared Wavelet Coherence analysis method, we estimated that the FLR region in the dayside magnetosphere could expand to at least 4 local time widths. The toroidal mode observed by Polar was a standing wave, while the pol-oidal mode was a propagating wave, the observation results could be well ex-plained by the waveguide mode theory. | 15 | The effect of ischemic precondition to IL-6 on rat liver ischemiareperfusion injury in transplantation显示文摘Objective:To investigate the effect of ischemic precondition to protect ischemia-reperfusion injury and reduce IL-6 expression in the rats liver transplantation.Methods:The rat portal vein infusion of autologous liver transplantation model were used.The rats were divided into ischemic preconditioning rats liver transplantation group(A group),the rats liver transplantation group(B group) and the normal rat control group(C group).Then we analyzed the changes of liver function,liver microstructure and the expression of IL-6,SOD and MDA within 48 h.Results: The pathology of liver in group A showed lobular architecture essentially normal,the liver cells was slightly swell and no significant changes in postoperative 12 h.In transmission electron microscope(46 000X).the mitochondria of liver cells in group A i>ecame swelling,elliptical can cristae partially broken.But there still has a small amount of arrangement.While that in group, the mitochondria were swollen,became round,serious visible crest reduce or ruptured.The result of over function test showed that the serum ALT and AST levels in group A and B were both higher than that in group C at each time period,but the serum ALT and AST levels in group A were lower than that in group B.The expression changes of IL-6 in group B were higher than that in group A and R(P<0.05).The expression of MDA in group A is more obvious than that in group B(P<0.05).Conclusions:Ischemic precondition could alleviate part of ischemia-reperfusion injury in the rat liver transplantation,and also could reduce IL-6 expression to protect the liver cells against liver damage and inflammatory cytokine production. | Lin-Zhong Cui Biao Wang Li-Yan Chen Jie Zhou | 2013 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2013,6,5: | 10 |

| 17 | Stent-grafts for the treatment of TIPS dysfunction:Fluency stent vs Wallgraft stent显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of an expanded polytetrafluoro-ethylene-covered Fluency stent compared with that of a polyethylene terephthalate-covered Wallgraft stent for the management of transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS)dysfunction.METHODS:A retrospective review of patients who underwent TIPS revision with stent-grafts between May 2007 and June 2011 was conducted.The patients were divided into two groups according to the stentgrafts implanted:the Fluency stent(Bard Incorporated,Karlsruhe,Germany)and the Wallgraft stent(Boston Scientific,Galway,Ireland).The primary patency rates were calculated and compared using the Kaplan-Meier method.RESULTS:A total of 73 patients were evaluated in this study:33 with Fluency stents and 40 with Wallgraft stents.The primary patency rates at 12 and 24 mo were 91% and 85%,respectively,in the Fluency stent group and 78% and 63%,respectively,in the Wallgraft stent group.The primary shunt patency rates after TIPS revision were significantly better with the Fluency stent than with the Wallgraft stent(P = 0.033).CONCLUSION:TIPS revision with the Fluency stent has higher medium-term patency rates than that with the Wallgraft stent. | Xue-Feng Luo Ling Nie Zhu Wang Jiaywei Tsauo Ling-Jun Liu Yang Yu Biao Zhou Cheng-Wei Tang Xiao Li | 2013 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,30: | 9 |
| 18 | Oral microbiota in human systematic diseases显示文摘Oral bacteria directly affect the disease status of dental caries and periodontal diseases. The dynamic oral microbiota cooperates with the host to reflect the information and status of immunity and metabolism through two-way communication along the oral cavity and the systemic organs. The oral cavity is one of the most important interaction windows between the human body and the environment.The microenvironment at different sites in the oral cavity has different microbial compositions and is regulated by complex signaling,hosts, and external environmental factors. These processes may affect or reflect human health because certain health states seem to be related to the composition of oral bacteria, and the destruction of the microbial community is related to systemic diseases. In this review, we discussed emerging and exciting evidence of complex and important connections between the oral microbes and multiple human systemic diseases, and the possible contribution of the oral microorganisms to systemic diseases. This review aims to enhance the interest to oral microbes on the whole human body, and also improve clinician’s understanding of the role of oral microbes in systemic diseases. | 20 | Platelet-rich plasma accelerates skin wound healing by promoting re-epithelialization显示文摘Background:Autologous platelet-rich plasma(PRP)has been suggested to be effective for wound healing.However,evidence for its use in patients with acute and chronic wounds remains insufficient.The aims of this study were to comprehensively examine the effectiveness,synergy and possible mechanism of PRP-mediated improvement of acute skin wound repair.Methods:Full-thickness wounds were made on the back of C57/BL6 mice.PRP or saline solution as a control was administered to the wound area.Wound healing rate,local inflammation,angiogenesis,re-epithelialization and collagen deposition were measured at days 3,5,7 and 14 after skin injury.The biological character of epidermal stem cells(ESCs),which reflect the potential for re-epithelialization,was further evaluated in vitro and in vivo.Results:PRP strongly improved skin wound healing,which was associated with regulation of local inflammation,enhancement of angiogenesis and re-epithelialization.PRP treatment significantly reduced the production of inflammatory cytokines interleukin-17A and interleukin-1β.An increase in the local vessel intensity and enhancement of re-epithelialization were also observed in animals with PRP administration and were associated with enhanced secretion of growth factors such as vascular endothelial growth factor and insulin-like growth factor-1.Moreover,PRP treatment ameliorated the survival and activated the migration and proliferation of primary cultured ESCs,and these effects were accompanied by the differentiation of ESCs into adult cells following the changes of CD49f and keratin 10 and keratin 14.Conclusion:PRP improved skin wound healing by modulating inflammation and increasing angiogenesis and re-epithelialization.However,the underlying regulatory mechanism needs to be investigated in the future.Our data provide a preliminary theoretical foundation for the clinical administration of PRP in wound healing and skin regeneration. | Pengcheng Xu Yaguang Wu Lina Zhou Zengjun Yang Xiaorong Zhang Xiaohong Hu Jiacai Yang Mingying Wang Binjie Wang Gaoxing Luo Weifeng He Biao Cheng | 2020 | Burns & Trauma2020,8,1: | 8 |
