| 2 | The origin of Wx^(la) provides new insights into the improvement of grain quality in rice显示文摘Appearance and taste are important factors in rice(Oryza sativa) grain quality. Here, we investigated the taste scores and related eating-quality traits of533 diverse cultivars to assess the relationships between—and genetic basis of—rice taste and eating-quality. A genome-wide association study highlighted the Wx gene as the major factor underlying variation in taste and eating quality. Notably, a novel waxy(Wx) allele, Wx^(la), which combined two mutations from Wx^(b) and Wx^(in), exhibited a unique phenotype. Reduced GBSSI activity conferred Wx^(la) rice with both a transparent appearance and good eating quality. Haplotype analysis revealed that Wx^(la) was derived from intragenic recombination. In fact,the recombination rate at the Wx locus was estimated to be 3.34 kb/c M, which was about 75-fold higher than the genome-wide mean, indicating that intragenic recombination is a major force driving diversity at the Wx locus. Based on our results, we propose a new network for Wx evolution, noting that new Wx alleles could easily be generated by crossing genotypes with different Wx alleles. | 3 | Coverless Information Hiding Based on the Molecular Structure Images of Material显示文摘The traditional information hiding methods embed the secret information by modifying the carrier,which will inevitably leave traces of modification on the carrier.In this way,it is hard to resist the detection of steganalysis algorithm.To address this problem,the concept of coverless information hiding was proposed.Coverless information hiding can effectively resist steganalysis algorithm,since it uses unmodified natural stego-carriers to represent and convey confidential information.However,the state-of-the-arts method has a low hidden capacity,which makes it less appealing.Because the pixel values of different regions of the molecular structure images of material(MSIM)are usually different,this paper proposes a novel coverless information hiding method based on MSIM,which utilizes the average value of sub-image’s pixels to represent the secret information,according to the mapping between pixel value intervals and secret information.In addition,we employ a pseudo-random label sequence that is used to determine the position of sub-images to improve the security of the method.And the histogram of the Bag of words model(BOW)is used to determine the number of subimages in the image that convey secret information.Moreover,to improve the retrieval efficiency,we built a multi-level inverted index structure.Furthermore,the proposed method can also be used for other natural images.Compared with the state-of-the-arts,experimental results and analysis manifest that our method has better performance in anti-steganalysis,security and capacity. | Yi Cao Zhili Zhou Xingming Sun Chongzhi Gao | 2018 | Computers, Materials & Continua2018,,2: | 4 |
| 4 | Genetic architecture and key genes controlling the diversity of oil composition in rice grains显示文摘Rice grain oil is a valuable nutrient source.However,the genetic basis of oil biosynthesis in rice grains remains unclear.In this study,we performed a genome-wide association study on oil composition and oil concentration in a diverse panel of 533 cultivated rice accessions.High variation for 11 oil-related traits was observed,and the oil composition of rice grains showed differentiation among the subpopulations.We identified 46 loci that are significantly associated with grain oil concentration or composition,16 of which were detected in three recombinant inbred line populations.Twenty-six candidate genes encoding enzymes involved in oil metabolism were identified from these 46 loci,four of which(PAL6,LIN6,MYR2,and ARA6)were found to contribute to natural variation in oil composition and to show differentiation among the subpopulations.Interestingly,population genetic analyses revealed that specific haplotypes of PAL6 and LIN6 have been selected in japonica rice.Based on these results,we propose a possible oil biosynthetic pathway in rice grains.Collectively,our results provide new insights into the genetic basis of oil biosynthesis in rice grains and can facilitate marker-based breeding of rice varieties with enhanced oil and grain quality. | Hao Zhou Duo Xia Pingbo Li Yiting Ao Xiaodong Xu Shanshan Wan Yanhua Li Bian Wu Huan Shi Kaiyue Wang Guanjun Gao Qinglu Zhang Gongwei Wang Jinghua Xiao Xianghua Li Sibin Yu Xingming Lian Yuqing He | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021,14,3: | 4 |
| 5 | Heat dissipation characteristics of anode saturable reactors with high thermal conductivity epoxy resin used for ultra-high-voltage direct current converter valves显示文摘A saturable reactor is one of the important components of converter valves in high-voltage direct current transmission systems.With the ever-increasing capacities of converter valves,the heat losses generated by saturable reactors are also increasing.Thus,a thermal-fluid mechanics coupled heat dissipation model for saturable reactors is proposed.In order to study the factors affecting the thermal dissipation in the saturable reactor,the epoxy resin insulating layers with different thermal conductivity were considered in this work.The simulation results showed that the hot spots in the saturable reactor are on the iron core and close to the pipe inlet that most of the generated heat can be extracted by a cooling pipe and that the effect of heat dissipation can be improved by raising the thermal conductivity of the epoxy resin.The thermal conductivities of the epoxy resin used in the two reactors were 0.8 and 1.2 W/mK,respectively.The time dependence of the iron core temperature was in accordance with the simulation results and the maximum temperatures of the saturable reactor were also consistent with the simulation results.By increasing the thermal conductivity of the epoxy insulation layer,the temperature of the iron core could be significantly reduced. | Yang Wei Chen WeiJiang Zhou Yuan Zhang Chong Zhang Zhuo Chen Xin Zhao YuShun Bian XingMing | 2020 | High Voltage2020,5,5: | 2 |

| 15 | Rice transcription factors OsLBD37/38/39 regulate nitrate uptake by repressing OsNRT2.1/2.2/2.3 under high-nitrogen conditions显示文摘Nitrate(NO_(3)^(-)) uptake involves a finely regulated and complex multilevel response system.Elucidating the molecular mechanism of nitrate uptake may lead to improving the growth and productivity of plants in the presence of dynamic variation in nitrate concentration.In this study,we identified three lateral organ boundaries domain(LBD)transcription factors,OsLBD37,OsLBD38,and OsLBD39,as regulators of nitrate uptake in response to nitrogen(N)availability.OsLBD37,OsLBD38,and OsLBD39 were induced by ammonium and glutamine in rice roots.Individual or collective knockout of OsLBD37,OsLBD38,and OsLBD39 led to increased concentrations of nitrate and increased expression of OsNRT2.1,OsNRT2.2,and OsNRT2.3respectively under high-N conditions,whereas overexpression of each of these three LBD genes produced opposite effects where N accumulation was reduced.Dual-luciferase reporter assay further confirmed that OsLBD37,OsLBD38,and OsLBD39 possessed transcription inhibitory activities in rice protoplast cells,downregulating the expression of OsNRT2.1/OsNRT2.2/OsNRT2.3.Yeast two-hybrid and bimolecular fluorescence complementation assays showed that OsLBD37 interacted with OsLBD37,OsLBD38,and OsLBD39in the nucleus.Together,these results show that OsLBD37,OsLBD38,and OsLBD39 collaborate to inhibit the expression of OsNRT2.1/OsNRT2.2/OsNRT2.3 transporters under N-sufficient conditions,thereby helping rice plants avoid excessive nitrate accumulation that may affect their growth. | Xinxin Zhu Dujun Wang Lijuan Xie Tao Zhou Jingyi Zhao Qian Zhang Meng Yang Wenjuan Wu Xingming Lian | 2022 | The Crop Journal2022,10,6: | 0 |
