4Fabrication and characterization of electrospun biocompatible PU/PEGMA hybrid nanofibers by in-situ UV photopolymerization显示文摘Poly(ethylene glycol) methacrylate (PEGMA) was introduced into a polyurethane (PU) solution in order to prepare hemocompatible electrospun membranes for potential application as small diameter vascular scaffolds. Crosslinked PU/PEGMA hybrid nanofibers were fabricated by a reactive electrospinning process with N,N′-methylenebisacrylamide (MBAm) as crosslinker and benzophenone (BP) as photoinitiator. The photoinduced polymerization and crosslinking reaction took place simultaneously during the electrospinning process. No significant difference in the membrane morphology was found by SEM when PEGMA content was less than 20 wt%. The crosslinked fibrous membranes of PU/PEGMA exhibit higher hydrophilicity and mechanical strength than PU membrane. 5An efficient high-power femtosecond laser based on periodic-layered-Kerr media nonlinear compression and a Yb:YAG regenerative amplifier显示文摘We demonstrate an efficient ultrafast source with 195 fs pulse duration,54 W average power at 200 kHz repetition rate and near diffraction-limited beam quality.The compact setup incorporates a thin-disk Yb:YAG regenerative amplifier(RA)and a subsequent nonlinear pulse compression stage with periodic-layered Kerr media(PLKM),which is one of the multiple-thin-solid-plate schemes based on nonlinear resonator theory.In virtue of the formation of quasi-stationary spatial soliton in PLKM,the near diffraction-limited beam quality of the RA remained almost undisturbed after post-compression.The nonlinear pulse compression module is simple and efficient with a transmission of 96%.To the best our knowledge,for pulse energy over 200μJ,this is the highest output power reported for the multiple-thin-solid-plate scheme.This source manifests an economical combination to mitigate the bandwidth limitations of Yb-based high-power chirped pulse amplifiers.Jie Guo Zichen Gao Di Sun Xiao Du Yongxi Gao Xiaoyan Liang 2022High Power Laser Science and Engineering2022,10,2:1
6Disease resistance conferred by components of essential chrysanthemum oil and the epigenetic regulation of OsTPS1显示文摘The sesquiterpene alpha-bisabolol is the predominant active ingredient in essential oils that are highly valued in the cosmetics industry due to its wound healing,anti-inflammatory,and skin-soothing properties.Alpha-bisabolol was thought to be restricted to Compositae plants.Here we reveal that alpha-bisabolol is also synthesized in rice,a non-Compositae plant,where it acts as a novel sesquiterpene phytoalexin.Overexpressing the gene responsible for the biosynthesis of alpha-bisabolol,Os TPS1,conferred bacterial blight resistance in rice.Phylogenomic analyses revealed that alpha-bisabolol-synthesizing enzymes in rice and Compositae evolved independently.Further experiments demonstrated that the natural variation in the disease resistance level was associated with differential transcription of Os TPS1 due to polymorphisms in its promoter.We demonstrated that Os TPS1 was regulated at the epigenetic level by JMJ705 through the methyl jasmonate pathway.These data reveal the cross-family accumulation and regulatory mechanisms of alpha-bisabolol production.Chuansong Zhan Long Lei Hao Guo Shen Zhou Congping Xu Zixin Liu Zichen Wu Yuan Deng Yuanyuan Miao Yu Han Meng Zhang Hua Li Sishu Huang Chenkun Yang Feng Zhang Yufei Li Ling Liu Xianqing Liu Hafiz Muhammad Khalid Abbas Alisdair R.Fernie Meng Yuan Jie Luo 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,5:1

9Engineering Sodium Metal Anode with Sodiophilic Bismuthide Penetration for Dendrite-Free and High-Rate Sodium-Ion Battery显示文摘Sodium(Na)metal batteries with a high volumetric energy density that can be operated at high rates are highly desirable.However,an uneven Na-ion migration in bulk Na anodes leads to localized deposition/dissolution of sodium during high-rate plating/stripping behaviors,followed by severe dendrite growth and loose stacking.Herein,we engineer the Na hybrid anode with sodiophilic Na_(3)Bi-penetration to develop the abundant phase-boundary ionic transport channels.Compared to intrinsic Na,the reduced adsorption energy and ion-diffusion barrier on Na_(3)Bi ensure even Na^(+)nucleation and rapid Na^(+)migration within the hybrid electrode,leading to uniform deposition and dissolution at high current densities.Furthermore,the bismuthide enables compact Na deposition within the sodiophilic framework during cycling,thus favoring a high volumetric capacity.Consequently,the obtained anode was endowed with a high current density(up to 5 mA∙cm^(−2)),high areal capacity(up to 5 mA∙h∙cm^(−2)),and long-term cycling stability(up to 2800 h at 2 mA∙cm^(−2)).Wanyu Zhao Min Guo Zhijun Zuo Xiaoli Zhao Huanglin Dou Yijie Zhang Shiying Li Zichen Wu Yayun Shi Zifeng Ma Xiaowei Yang 2022Engineering2022,8,4:0
10High-speed 2D beam steering based on a thin-film lithium niobate optical phased array with a large field of view显示文摘An on-chip optical phased array (OPA) is considered as a promising solution for next generation solid-state beam steering.However,most of the reported OPAs suffer from low operating bandwidths,making them limited in many applications.We propose and demonstrate a high-speed 2D scanning OPA based on thin-film lithium niobate phase modulators with traveling-wave electrodes.The measured modulation bandwidth is up to 2.5 GHz.Moreover,an aperiodic array combined with a slab grating antenna is also used to suppress the grating lobes of far-field beams,which enables a large field of view (FOV) as well as small beam width.A 16-channel OPA demonstrates an FOV of 50°×8.6°and a beam width of 0.73°×2.8°in the phase tuning direction and the wavelength scanning direction,respectively.WENLEI LI XU ZHAO JIANGHAO HE HAO YAN BINGCHENG PAN ZICHEN GUO XIANG’E HAN JINGYE CHEN DAOXIN DAI YAOCHENG SHI 2023Photonics Research2023,11,11:0
11Do methylenetetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase, cyclohydrolase, and formyltetrahydrofolate synthetase 1 polymorphisms modify changes in intelligence of school-age children in areas of endemic fluorosis?显示文摘Background: Excessive exposure to fluoride can reduce intelligence. Methylenetetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase, cyclohydrolase, and formyltetrahydrofolate synthetase 1 (MTHFD1) polymorphisms have important roles in neurodevelopment. However, the association ofMTHFD1 polymorphisms with children’s intelligence changes in endemic fluorosis areas has been rarely explored.Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in four randomly selected primary schools in Tongxu County, Henan Province, from April to May in 2017. A total of 694 children aged 8 to 12 years were included in the study with the recruitment by the cluster sampling method. Urinary fluoride (UF) and urinary creatinine were separately determined using the fluoride ion-selective electrode and creatinine assay kit. Children were classified as the high fluoride group and control group according to the median of urinary creatinine-adjusted urinary fluoride (UFCr) level. Four loci ofMTHFD1 were genotyped, and the Combined Raven’s Test was used to evaluate children’s intelligence quotient (IQ). Generalized linear model and multinomial logistic regression model were performed to analyze the associations between children’s UFCr level,MTHFD1 polymorphisms, and intelligence. The general linear model was used to explore the effects of gene-environment and gene-gene interaction on intelligence.Results: In the high fluoride group, children’s IQ scores decreased by 2.502 when the UFCr level increased by 1.0 mg/L (β= –2.502, 95% confidence interval [CI]: –4.411, –0.593), and the possibility for having 'excellent' intelligence decreased by 46.3% (odds ratio = 0.537, 95% CI: 0.290, 0.994). Children with the GG genotype showed increased IQ scores than those with the AA genotype of rs11627387 locus in the high fluoride group (P < 0.05). 12Pd@Ir-LOD multienzyme utilizing endogenous lactate consumption cooperates with photothermal for tumor therapy显示文摘Lactic acid(LA)plays a major role in the occurrence,development,and spread of cancer.Enlightened by its high accumulation in tumor site,a novel lactate oxidase(LOD)conjugated two-dimensional Pd@Ir nanoplatform(Pd@Ir-LOD,PIL)was fabricated to combine cascade reaction with photothermal for tumor therapy.In detail,the overexpressed LA in tumor microenvironment(TME)was a key factor to activate the PIL-based cascade reaction:(1)Plenty of H_(2)O_(2)could be generated from LA by the catalysis of LOD with O_(2);(2)potent·OH was produced from H_(2)O_(2)due to the peroxidase(POD)-like activity of PIL;(3)meantime,PIL’s catalase(CAT)-like activity could decompose part H_(2)O_(2)into O_(2)to achieve the purpose of LA cyclic oxidization.Moreover,the reduced glutathione(GSH)scavenging capability of PIL might protect the produced reactive oxygen species(ROS)from being cleared to further improve the cascade therapeutic effect.More importantly,PIL had excellent photothermal conversion efficiency(37.35%)and manifested a surprising temperature rising effect in tumor.Taken together,the decreasing LA concentration,accumulation of high-toxic ROS,the depletion of GSH together with the higher intra-tumoral temperature potently enhanced in vivo antitumor therapy.Therefore,a promising therapeutic tactic based on PIL integrating endogenous LA consumption,chemodynamic therapy(CDT),and photothermal therapy(PTT)has been put forward.Zichen Ye Yun Li Jingchao Li Xinyan Hu Jinyang Zheng Gongxin Zhang Sijin Xiang Tianbao Zhu Zhide Guo Xiaolan Chen 2024Nano Research2024,17,1:0
13Progresses of mycobacteriophage-based Mycobacterium tuberculosis detection显示文摘Tuberculosis(TB)remains a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide,particularly in developing countries.A rapid and efficient method for TB diagnosis is indispensable to check the trend of tuberculosis expansion.The emergence of drug-resistant bacteria has increased the challenge of rapid drug resistance tests.Due to its high specificity and sensitivity,bacteriophage-based diagnosis is intensively pursued.In this review,we mainly described mycobacteriophage-based diagnosis in TB detection,especially two prevalent approaches:fluorescent reporter phage and phage amplified biologically assay(PhaB).The rationale of reporter phage is that phage carrying fluorescent genes can infect host bacteria specifically.Phage amplified biological assay based on the principle that phages can infect the live Mycobacterium tuberculosis in the specimen under suitable conditions and produce plaques.Other phage-based diagnostic methods,such as a combination of the amplified biologically assay and nucleic acid amplification or lateral flow assays,are also actively explored.This review will help us improve the understanding of mycobacteriophages in TB detection and better promote the development of the rapid diagnosis of M.tuberculosis.ZICHEN LIU SIYAO GUO MENGZHI JI KAILI SUN ZHONGFANG LI XIANGYU FAN 2020BIOCELL2020,44,4:0
14A Content-Based Recommendation Framework for Judicial Cases显示文摘Under the background of the Judicial Reform of China, big data of judicial cases are widely used to solve the problem of judicial research. Similarity analysis of judicial cases is the basis of wisdom judicature. In view of the necessity of getting rid of the ineffective information and extracting useful rules and conditions from the descriptive document, the analysis of Chinese judicial cases with a certain format is a big challenge. Hence, we propose a method that focuses on producing recommendations that are based on the content of judicial cases. Considering the particularity of Chinese language, we use “jieba” text segmentation to preprocess the cases. In view of the lack of labels of user interest and behavior, the proposed method considers the content information via adopting TF-IDF combined with LDA topic model, as opposed to the traditional methods such as CF (Collaborative Filtering Recommendations). Users are recommended to compute cosine similarity of cases in the same topic. In the experiments, we evaluate the performance of the proposed model on a given dataset of nearly 200,000 judicial cases. 15Enhanced cyanogen chloride formation after UV/PS and UV/H_(2)O_(2) pre-oxidation and chlorination in natural river water显示文摘Ultraviolet/persulfate (UV/PS) and Ultraviolet/hydrogen peroxide (UV/H_(2)O_(2)) have attracted much attention in recent years as advanced oxidation processes for water treatment.However,it is not all clear how these two methods affect the formation of cyanogen chloride(CNCl) in the subsequent water chlorination process.In this study,it was found that both UV/H_(2)O_(2)and UV/PS pre-oxidation promoted the formation of CNCl in six actual water samples collected from urban rivers.Glycine,uric acid,arginine and histidine were investigated as the model compounds to explore the effects of different methods on the production of CNCl.The results showed that compared with chlorination alone,pre-oxidation by UV/H_(2)O_(2)and UV/PS can reduce the production of CNCl for glycine and uric acid by up to 95%during post-chlorination process.However,they can greatly promote the formation of CNCl for arginine and histidine by up to 120-fold.In a more detailed investigation,pre-oxidation of histidine formed highly reactive intermediates to chlorine,leading to increased CNCl formation and chlorine consumption.The results showed that the precursors of CNCl was altered after pre-oxidation,and need to be re-evaluated.Jie Xu Yang Guo Qian Yang Xueling Bai Runhua Lu Menghui Liu Zichen Kuang Luo Zhang Jing Li 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,4:0
