2Mobility in China,2020:a tale of four phases显示文摘2020 was an unprecedented year;with rapid and drastic changes in human mobility due to the COVID-19 pandemic.To understand the variation in commuting patterns among the Chinese population across stable and unstable periods,we used nationwide mobility data from 318 million mobile phone users in China to examine the extreme fluctuations of population movements in 2020,ranging from the Lunar New Year travel season(chunyun),to the exceptional calm of COVID-19 lockdown,and then to the recovery period.We observed that cross-city movements;which increased substantially in chunyun and then dropped sharply during the lockdown,are primarily dependent on travel distance and the socio-economic development of cities.Following the Lunar New Year holiday,national mobility remained low until mid-February,and COVID-19 interventions delayed more than 72.89 million people returning to large cities.Mobility network analysis revealed clusters of highly connected cities,conforming to the social-economic division of urban agglomerations in China.While the mass migration back to large cities was delayed,smaller cities connected more densely to form new clusters.During the recovery period after travel restrictions were lifted,the netflows of over 55%city pairs reversed in direction compared to before the lockdown.These findings offer the most comprehensive picture of Chinese mobility at fine resolution across various scenarios in China and are of critical importance for decision making regarding future public-health-emergency response,transportation planning and regional economic development,among others.Suoyi Tan Shengjie Lai Fan Fang Ziqiang Cao Bin Sai Bing Song Bitao Dai Shuhui Guo Chuchu Liu Mengsi Cai Tong Wang Mengning Wang Jiaxu Li Saran Chen Shuo Qin Jessica R.Floyd Zhidong Cao Jing Tan Xin Sun Tao Zhou Wei Zhang Andrew J.Tatem Petter Holme Xiaohong Chen Xin Lu 2021National Science Review2021,8,11:3

7Shorter alkyl chain in thieno[3,4-c]pyrrole-4,6-dione(TPD)-based large bandgap polymer donors – Yield efficient non-fullerene polymer solar cells显示文摘Typically,conjugated polymers are composed of conjugated backbones and alkyl side chains.In this contribution,a cost-effective strategy of tailoring the length of alkyl side chain is utilized to design highperforming thieno[3,4-c]pyrrole-4,6-dione(TPD)-based large bandgap polymer donors PBDT-BiTPD(Cχ)(χ=48,52,56),in which x represents the alkyl side chain length in term of the total carbon number.A combination of light absorption,device,and morphology examinations make clear that the shorter alkyl side chains yield(i) higher crystallinity and more predominant face-on crystallite orientation in their neat and BHJ blend films,(ii) higher charge mobilities(6.7×10^(-4) cm~2 V^(-1) s^(-1) for C48 vs.3.2×10^(-4) cm~2 V^(-1) s^(-1) for C56),and negligible charge recombination,consequently,(iii) significantly improved fill-factor(FF) and short current(J_(SC)),while almost the same open circuit voltage(V_(OC)) of ca.0.82 V in their corresponding BHJ devices.In parallel,as alkyl side chain lengths decrease from C56 to C48,power conversion efficiencies(PCEs) increased from 7.8% for C56 to 11.1% for C52,and further to14.1% for C48 in their BHJ solar cells made with a narrow bandgap non-fullerene acceptor Y6.This systematic study declares that shortening the side chain,if providing appropriate solubility in device solution processing solvents,is of essential significance for developing high-performing polymer donors and further improving device photovoltaic performance.Jiaji Zhao Xuelong Huang Qingduan Li Shengjian Liu Ziqiang Fan Di Zhang Shanshan Ma Zhixiong Cao Xuechen Jiao Yue-Peng Cai Fei Huang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,2:1
8Strong tunability of cooperative energy transfer in Mn2+-doped (Yb3+, Er3+)/NaYF4 nanocrystals by coupling with silver nanorod array显示文摘Fluorescent rare-earth ions are useful for efficient energy transfer via multi- channels with different properties. Tuning these transfer processes in functional rare-earth materials has attracted considerable attention to satisfy the various demands of diverse practical applications. In this study, strong tunabilities of cooperative energy transfer and nonlinear upconversion emissions are realized using (Yb3+, Er3+)/NaYF4 nanocrystals with and without doped Mn2~ ions by adopting a plasmonic nanocavity composed of a silver nanorod array. The plasmon nanocavity can not only increase the energy transfer between Mn2+ and (Yb3+, Er3+) but also significantly enhance the radiative emission. This reveals a prominent nonlinear gain in the nanocavity nanosystems. 10Nitrogen doped hollow carbon nanospheres as efficient polysulfide restricted layer on commercial separators for high-performance lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘The polysulfide shuttle limits the development of lithium-sulfur(Li-S) batteries with high energy density and long lifespan. Herein, nitrogen doped hollow carbon nanospheres(NHCS) derived from polymerization of dopamine on SiO_(2)nanospheres are employed to modify the commercial polypropylene/polyethylene/polypropylene tri-layer separators(PP/PE/PP@NHCS). The abundant nitrogen heteroatoms in NHCS exhibit strong chemical adsorption toward polysulfides, which can effectively suppress the lithium polysulfides shuttle and further enhance the utilization of active sulfur. Lithium-sulfur batteries employing the PP/PE/PP@NHCS deliver an initial discharge capacity of 1355 mAh/g and retain high capacity of 921 mAh/g after 100 cycles at 0.2 C. At a high rate of 2 C, the lithium-sulfur batteries exhibit capacity of 461 mAh/g after 1000 cycles with a capacity fading rate of 0.049% per cycle. 11Identifying and managing risks of AI-driven operations:A case study of automatic speech recognition for improving air traffic safety显示文摘In this work,the primary focus is to identify potential technical risks of Artificial Intel-ligence(AI)-driven operations for the safety monitoring of the air traffic from the perspective of speech communication by studying the representative case and evaluating user experience.The case study is performed to evaluate the AI-driven techniques and applications using objective metrics,in which several risks and technical facts are obtained to direct future research.Considering the safety–critical specificities of the air traffic control system,a comprehensive subjective evaluation is conducted to collect user experience by a well-designed anonymous questionnaire and a face-to-face interview.In this procedure,the potential risks obtained from the case study are confirmed,and the impacts on human working are considered.Both the case study and the evaluation of user experience provide compatible results and conclusions:(A)the proposed solution is promising to improve the traffic safety and reduce the workload by detecting potential risks in advance;(B)the AI-driven techniques and whole diagram are suggested to be enhanced to eliminate the possible distraction to the attention of air traffic controllers.Finally,a variety of strategies and approaches are discussed to explore their capability to advance the proposed solution to industrial practices.Yi LIN Min RUAN Kunjie CAI Dan LI Ziqiang ZENG Fan LI Bo YANG 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,4:0

13Systematic analysis of DNA polymerases as therapeutic targets in pan-cancers显示文摘Introduction:DNA polymerases are crucial for maintaining genome stability and influencing tumorigenesis.However,the clinical implications of DNA polymerases in tumorigenesis and their potential as anti-cancer therapy targets are not well understood.Methods:We conducted a systematic analysis using TCGA Pan-Cancer Atlas data and Gene Set Cancer Analysis results to examine the expression profiles of 15 DNA polymerases(POLYs)and their clinical correlations.We also evaluated the prognostic value of POLYs by analyzing their expression levels in relation to overall survival time(OS)using Kaplan-Meier survival curves.Additionally,we investigated the correlations between POLY expression and immune cells,DNA damage repair(DDR)pathways,and ubiquitination.Drug sensitivity analysis was performed to assess the relationship between POLY expression and drug response.Results:Our analysis revealed that 14 out of 15 POLYs exhibited significantly distinct expression patterns between tumor and normal samples across most cancer types,except for DNA nucleotidylexotransferase(DNTT).Specifically,POLD1 and POLE showed elevated expression in almost all cancers,while POLQ exhibited high expression levels in all cancer types.Some POLYs showed heightened expression in specific cancer subtypes,while others exhibited low expression.Kaplan-Meier survival curves demonstrated significant prognostic value of POLYs in multiple cancers,including PAAD,KIRC,and ACC.Cox analysis further validated these findings.Alteration patterns of POLYs varied significantly among different cancer types and were associated with poorer survival outcomes.Significant correlations were observed between the expression of POLY members and immune cells,DDR pathways,and ubiquitination.Drug sensitivity analysis indicated an inverse relationship between POLY expression and drug response.Conclusion:Our comprehensive study highlights the significant role of POLYs in cancer development and identifies them as promising prognostic and immunological biomarkers for various cancer types.Additionally,targeting POLYs therapeutically holds promise for tumor immunotherapy.ZHENHUA LI HUILAI LV FAN ZHANG ZIMING ZHU QIANG GUO MINGBO WANG CHAO HUANG LIJUAN CHEN WENPAN ZHANG YUN LI ZIQIANG TIAN 2024BIOCELL2024,48,1:0
