| 1 | Cycloastragenol upregulates SIRT1 expression,attenuates apoptosis and suppresses neuroinflammation after brain ischemia显示文摘Cycloastragenol(CAG)is the active form of astragaloside V isolated from Astragalus Radix,which displays multiple pharmacological effects.Silent information regulator 1(SIRT1),a classll histone deacetylase,has been shown to play an important role in neuroprotection against cerebral ischemia.In this study,we investigated whether CAG protected against ischemic brain injury and,if so,whether the beneficial effects were associated with the regulation of SIRT1 in the ischemic brain.Mice were subjected to 45 min of middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)followed by reperfusion.CAG(5,10,20 mg/kg)was injected intraperitoneally at the onset of reperfusion,12h later and then twice daily for up to three days.CAG dose-dependently reduced brain infarct volume,significantly ameliorated functional deficits,and prevented neuronal cell oss in MCAO mice.Meanwhile,CAG signicantly reduced matrix metalloproteinase-9 activity,prevented tight junction degradation and subsequently ameliorated blood-brain barier disruption.Moreover,CAG significantly upregulated SIRT1 expression in the ischemic brain but did not directly activate its enzymatic activity.Concomitant with SIRT1 upregulation,CAG reduced p53 acetylation and the ratio of Bax to Bcl-2 in the ischemic brain.CAG also inhibited NF-κB p65 nuclear translocation.As a result,CAG suppressed the mRNA expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines,including TNF-α and IL-1β,and inhibited the activation of microglia and astrocytes in the ischemic brain.Our findings suggest that CAG is neuroprotective against ischemic brain injury in mice and that its beneficial effect may involve SIRT1 upregulation and the inhibition of apoptosis and neuroinflammation in the ischemic brain. | Man Li Shichun Li Bao-kai Dou Yving-xiang Zou Hao-zhen Han Dong-xiang Liu Zunji Ke Zhi-fei Wang | 2020 | Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2020,41,8: | 22 |
| 2 | Astragaloside Ⅳ suppresses post-ischemic natural killer cell infiltration and activation in the brain:involvement of histone deacetylase inhibition显示文摘Natural killer(NK)cells,a type of cytotoxic lymphocytes,can infiltrate into ischemic brain and exacerbate neuronal cell death.Astragaloside Ⅳ(ASIV)is the major bioactive ingredient of Astragalus membranaceus,a Chinese herbal medicine,and possesses potent immunomodulatory and neuroprotective properties.This study investigated the effects of ASIV on post-ischemic brain infiltration and activation of NK cells.ASIV reduced brain infarction and alleviated functional deficits in MCAO rats,and these beneficial effects persisted for at least 7 days.Abundant NK cells infiltrated into the ischemic hemisphere on day 1 after brain ischemia,and this infiltration was suppressed by ASIV.Strikingly,ASIV reversed NK cell deficiency in the spleen and blood after brain ischemia.ASIV inhibited astrocyte-derived CCL2 upregulation and reduced CCR2+NK cell levels in the ischemic brain.Meanwhile,ASIV attenuated NK cell activating receptor NKG2D levels and reduced interferon-γproduction.ASIV restored acetylation of histone H3 and the p65 subunit of nuclear factor-κB in the ischemic brain,suggesting inhibition of histone deacetylase(HDAC).Simultaneously,ASIV prevented p65 nuclear translocation.The effects of ASIV on reducing CCL2 production,restoring acetylated p65 levels and preventing p65 nuclear translocation were mimicked by valproate,an HDAC inhibitor,in astrocytes subjected to oxygen-glucose deprivation.Our findings suggest that ASIV inhibits post-ischemic NK cell brain infiltration and activation and reverses NK cell deficiency in the periphery,which together contribute to the beneficial effects of ASIV against brain ischemia.Furthermore,ASIV’s effects on suppressing NK cell brain infiltration and activation may involve HDAC inhibition. | Baokai Dou Shichun Li Luyao Wei Lixin Wang Shiguo Zhu Zhengtao Wang Zunji Ke Kaixian Chen Zhifei Wang | 2021 | Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,1: | 3 |

| 4 | Effect of returns on microstructure and mechanical properties of Al-Cu based alloys显示文摘It is well known that maximal utilization of the returns can be beneficial for cost reduction,preservation of natural resources and protection of the environment,by making them into recycled Al-Cu alloys.In this study,the influences of returns on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Al-Cu alloys have been investigated by means of optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy.The results showed that the returns could be used to produce recycled Al-Cu alloys with fine and uniform microstructure and excellent mechanical properties,including ultimate tensile strength,yield strength and ductility.It was found that the maximum performance of the recycled Al-Cu alloy in their properties could be achievable when the returns content was 20wt.%,which gave 219 MPa,87.16 MPa and 12.15% at as-cast state,and 525 MPa,445.3 MPa and 14.14% after heat treated,in their tensile strengths,yield strengths and elongations,respectively.These values were much higher than those of primary alloy. | Li Min Wang Hongwei Wei Zunjie Zhu Zhaojun | 2010 | China Foundry2010,7,1: | 2 |

| 12 | Inhibitory Effects of Sixteen Fungicides on Mycelial Growth and Spore Germination of Monilinia fructicola显示文摘[Objective]The paper was to compare the indoor toxicities of sixteen fungicides on mycelial growth and spore germination of Monilinia fructicola,to screen out effective fungicides and to discuss use characteristics of various types of fungicides.[Method]The inhibitory activities of 16 fungicides on mycelial growth and spore germination were determined by mycelial growth rate method and spore germination method.[Result]The EC50 values of 16 fungicides against mycelial growth ranged from 0.0184 to 61.5305 mg/L.Prochloraz,tetramycin,fenbuconazole and fludioxonil had strong inhibitory activities on mycelial growth,and their EC50 values were 0.0184,0.0456,0.0531 and 0.0814 mg/L,respectively,significantly lower than those of other 12 fungicides.The EC50 values of 16 fungicides against spore germination ranged from 0.0084 to 189.3938 mg/L.Tetramycin and chlorothalonil had strong inhibitory activities on mycelial growth,and their EC50 values were 0.0084 and 0.0378 mg/L,respectively,significantly lower than those of other 14 fungicides.[Conclusion]The 16 fungicides had great value in preventing and controlling peach brown rot.Benzimidazoles,diformimides and ergosterol inhibitors had good inhibitory activities on mycelial growth.Strobilurins,succinate dehydrogenase inhibitors and multiple-site protective fungicides had good inhibitory activities on spore germination.The agricultural antibiotics tetramycin,phenazine-1-carboxylic acid and pyrrole fungicide fludioxonil had good inhibitory activities on mycelial growth and spore germination. | Song Huawen Xu Nana Gao Deliang Hu Zunji Zhuang Zhiguo Liu Yu Wu Xibao Zhuang Zhanxing | 2021 | Plant Diseases and Pests2021,12,1: | 0 |

| 14 | Intraspecific variations in fine root N and P and factors affecting their concentrations in Masson pine plantations across subtropical China显示文摘Fine roots(<2 mm)play vital roles in water and nutrient uptake.However,intraspecific variations in their chemical traits and their controlling mechanisms remain poorly understood at a regional scale.This study examined these intraspecific variations in fine roots in Masson pine(Pinus massoniana Lamb.)plantations across subtropical China and their responses to environmental factors.Root nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)concentrations and their mass ratios(N:P)ranged from 3.5 to 11.7 g kg^(-1),0.2 to0.9 g kg^(-1),and 7.8 to 51.6 g kg^(-1),respectively.These three chemical traits were significantly different between sites and in longitudinal patterns across subtropical China.Mean annual temperature was positively related to root N concentration but negatively related to root P concentration.There were significant,negative relationships between clay content and root P concentration and between pH and root N concentration.Available N had no significant relationship with root N concentration,while available P was a significantly positive relationship with root P concentration.The combined effects of altitude,climate(temperature and precipitation)and soil properties(pH,clay content,available N and P)explained 26%and 36%of the root N and P concentrations variations,respectively.These environmental variables had direct and indirect effects and exhibited disproportionate levels of total effects on root N and P concentrations.Root N and P concentrations explained 35%and 65%variations in their mass ratios,respectively.The results highlight different spatial patterns of chemical traits and various environmental controls on root N and P concentrations in these ecosystems.More cause-effect relationships of root chemical traits with abiotic and biotic factors are needed to understand nutrient uptake strategies and the mechanisms controlling intraspecific variations in plant traits. | Zunji Jian Jin Xu Yanyan Ni Lei Lei Lixiong Zeng Wenfa Xiao | 2023 | Journal of Forestry Research2023,34,5: | 0 |
| 15 | Using machine learning algorithms to estimate stand volume growth of Larix and Quercus forests based on national-scale Forest Inventory data in China显示文摘Estimating the volume growth of forest ecosystems accurately is important for understanding carbon sequestration and achieving carbon neutrality goals.However,the key environmental factors affecting volume growth differ across various scales and plant functional types.This study was,therefore,conducted to estimate the volume growth of Larix and Quercus forests based on national-scale forestry inventory data in China and its influencing factors using random forest algorithms.The results showed that the model performances of volume growth in natural forests(R^(2)=0.65 for Larix and 0.66 for Quercus,respectively)were better than those in planted forests(R^(2)=0.44 for Larix and 0.40 for Quercus,respectively).In both natural and planted forests,the stand age showed a strong relative importance for volume growth(8.6%–66.2%),while the edaphic and climatic variables had a limited relative importance(<6.0%).The relationship between stand age and volume growth was unimodal in natural forests and linear increase in planted Quercus forests.And the specific locations(i.e.,altitude and aspect)of sampling plots exhibited high relative importance for volume growth in planted forests(4.1%–18.2%).Altitude positively affected volume growth in planted Larix forests but controlled volume growth negatively in planted Quercus forests.Similarly,the effects of other environmental factors on volume growth also differed in both stand origins(planted versus natural)and plant functional types(Larix versus Quercus).These results highlighted that the stand age was the most important predictor for volume growth and there were diverse effects of environmental factors on volume growth among stand origins and plant functional types.Our findings will provide a good framework for site-specific recommendations regarding the management practices necessary to maintain the volume growth in China's forest ecosystems. | Huiling Tian Jianhua Zhu Xiao He Xinyun Chen Zunji Jian Chenyu Li Qiangxin Ou Qi Li Guosheng Huang Changfu Liu Wenfa Xiao | 2022 | Forest Ecosystems2022,9,3: | 0 |
| 16 | Electro-triggered Joule heating method to synthesize single-phase CuNi nano-alloy catalyst for efficient electrocatalytic nitrate reduction toward ammonia显示文摘Electrochemical nitrate reduction reaction(NO_(3)RR)has great potential for ammonia(NH_(3))synthesis benefiting from its environmental friendliness and sustainability.Cu-based alloys with elemental diversity and adsorption tunability are widely used as electrocatalyst to lower the reaction overpotential for NO_(3)RR catalysis.However,phase separation commonly found in alloys leads to uneven distribution of elements,which limits the possibility of further optimizing the catalytic activity.Herein,an electrotriggered Joule heating method,possessing unique superiority of flash heating and cooling that lead to well-dispersed nanoparticles and uniform mixing of various elements,was adopted to synthesize a single-phase CuNi nano-alloy catalyst evenly dispersed on carbon fiber paper,CFP-Cu_(1)Ni_(1),which exhibited a more positive NO_(3)RR initial potential of 0.1 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode(vs.RHE)than that of pure copper nanoparticles at 10 mA·cm^(−2)in 0.5 mol·L^(−1)Na_(2)SO_(4)+0.1 mol·L^(−1)KNO_(3)solution.Importantly,CFP-Cu_(1)Ni_(1) presented high electrocatalytic activity with a Faradaic efficiency of 95.7%and NH_(3)yield rate of 180.58μmol·h^(−1)·cm^(−2)(2550μmol·h^(−1)·mg_(cat)^(−1))at−0.22 V vs.RHE.Theoretical calculations showed that alloying Cu with Ni into single-phase caused an upshift of its d-band center,which promoted the adsorption of NO_(3)−and weakened the adsorption of NH_(3).Moreover,the competitive adsorption of hydrogen ions was restrained until−0.24 V.This work offers a rational design concept with clear guidance for rapid synthesis of uniformly dispersed single-phase nano-alloy catalyst for efficient electrochemical NO_(3)RR toward ammonia. | Zunjie Zhang Yang Liu Xiaozhi Su Ziwei Zhao Zhenkun Mo Chenyi Wang Yaling Zhao Ye Chen Shuyan Gao | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,5: | 0 |

| 18 | Microstructural evolution and precipitation behavior of Al-7Si-3Cu alloy prepared under 5 GPa显示文摘This paper presents a systematic investigation of the microstructural evolution and mechanical proper-ties of Al-7Si-3Cu alloys prepared under high pressure of 5 GPa.It is found that the dendritic structure disappears due to the enhanced stability of the growth interface under high pressure.Meanwhile,a con-siderable solute-induced modification effect is achieved in the eutectic Si.Besides,unconventional larger eutectic colonies and ultrafine nanocrystalline eutectics are observed within the intragranular area.Com-bined with detailed microstructural characterization,the crucial role of high pressure on the evolution of these isolated phases is discussed.The study also explores the precipitation behavior and strengthening mechanisms of alloys prepared under direct aging and solution-aging treatments.Upon the direct aging treatment,θ’phases,coarse Al 2 Cu particles,and Si particles form simultaneously in the matrix owing to the increased solid solubility of alloying elements,which results in the highest mechanical properties with a microhardness of 132.8 HV and compressive stress of 715 MPa.Solution-aging treatment leads to the segregation of Si onθ’phases,which proved to be energetically favorable according to first-principles calculations.This work provides new insights into the microstructural optimization of aluminum-silicon-based alloys through high-pressure manipulation and paves the way for further industrial applications. | Ning Fang Chunming Zou Zunjie Wei Hongwei Wang Jiahan Chen Zongyue Jin | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,28: | 0 |
