2Cationic content effects of biodegradable amphoteric chitosan-based flocculants on the flocculation properties显示文摘A series of biodegradable amphoteric chitosan-based flocculants(3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyl trimethyl ammonium chloride(CTA) modified carboxymethyl chitosan,denoted as CMC-CTA) with different substitution degrees of CTA were prepared successfully.The content of carboxymethyl groups in each CMC-CTA sample was kept almost constant.The solubility of the various flocculants showed that,higher cationic content of flocculants caused a better solubility.The flocculation experiments using kaolin suspension as synthetic water at the laboratory scale indicated that the substitution degree of CTA was one of the key factors for the flocculation properties.With the increase of cationic content,the flocculants were demonstrated better flocculation performance and lower dosage requirement.Flocculation kinetics model of particles collisions combining zeta potential and turbidity measurements was employed to investigate the effects of the cationic content of the flocculants on the flocculation properties from the viewpoint of flocculation mechanism in detail.Furthermore,flocculation performance using raw water from Zhenjiang part of Yangtze River at the pilot scale showed the similar effects to those at the laboratory scale.Zhen Yang Yabo Shang Xin Huang Yichun Chen Yaobo Lu Aimin Chen Yuxiang Jiang Wei Gu Xiaozhi Qian Hu Yang Rongshi Cheng 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,8:8
3A novel aminated polymeric adsorbent for removing refractory dissolved organic matter from landfill leachate treatment plant显示文摘Refractory dissolved organic matter (DOM) from landfill leachate treatment plant was with high dissolved organic carbon (DOC) content. An aminated polymeric adsorbent NDA-8 with tertiary amino groups and sufficient mesopore was synthesized, which exhibited high adsorption capacity to the DOM (raw water after coagulation). Resin NDA-8 performed better in the uptake of the DOM than resin DAX-8 and A100. Electrostatic attraction was considered as the decisive interaction between the adsorbent and adsorbate. Special attention was paid to the correlation between porous structure and adsorption capacity. The mesopore of NDA-8 played a crucial role during uptake of the DOM. In general, resin in chloride form performed a higher removal rate of DOC. 4Delivery of triptolide with reduction-sensitive polymer nanoparticles for liver cancer therapy on patient-derived xenografts models显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)has become the fourth predominant cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide,and HCC is still one of the worst prognoses for survival as it is poorly responsive to both chemotherapy and surgical treatment due to drug resista nce and great toxic effects.Triptolide(TP),a key ingredient from the traditional Chinese medical herb,has been utilized to treat inflammation and antitumor for centuries.However,investigations of this potent agent have been met with only limited success due to the severe systemic toxicities in patients and low water solubility as well as its high toxicity over the past two decades.Herein,we reported the development of a reduction-responsive drug delive ry system loaded with TP fo r glutathione(GSH)-trigge red drug release for cancer therapy.With the GSH-sensitive TP loaded nanoparticles,the remarkable increases in tumor accumulation and amelioration of drug toxicity in animals are demonstrated,which is likely due to sustained stepwise release of active TP within cancer cells.Moreover,in a patient-derived tumor xenograft model of liver cancer,administration of tritolide nanoparticles enhances the antitumor efficacy relative to administration of free TP.These findings indicate that GSH-sensitive release of TP may be a promising strategy for cancer treatment.Mengxue He Ling Yu Yuanyuan Yang Binhua Zou Wen Ma Meng Yu Jiandong Lu Guoliang Xiong Zhiqiang Yu Aimin Li 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,12:5
5The SOC1-like gene BoMADS50 is associated with the flowering of Bambusa oldhamii显示文摘Bamboo is known for its edible shoots and beautiful texture and has considerable economic and ornamental value.Unique among traditional flowering plants,many bamboo plants undergo extensive synchronized flowering followed by large-scale death,seriously affecting the productivity and application of bamboo forests.To date,the molecular mechanism of bamboo flowering characteristics has remained unknown.In this study,a SUPPRESSOR OF OVEREXPRESSION OF CONSTANS1(SOC1)-like gene,BoMADS50,was identified from Bambusa oldhamii.BoMADS50 was highly expressed in mature leaves and the floral primordium formation period during B.oldhamii flowering and overexpression of BoMADS50 caused early fl owering in transgenic rice.Moreover,BoMADS50 could interact with APETALA1/FRUITFULL(AP1/FUL)-like proteins(BoMADS 14-1/2,BoMADS15-1/2)in vivo,and the expression of BoMADS50 was signi ficantly promoted by BoMADS14-1,further indicating a synergistic effect between BoMADS50 and BoAP1/FUL-like proteins in regulating B.oldhamii flowering.We also identi fi ed four additional transcripts of BoMADS50(BoMADS50-1/2/3/4)with different nucleotide variations.Although the protein-CDS were polymorphic,they had flowering activation functions similar to those of BoMADS50.Yeast one-hybrid and transient expression assays subsequently showed that both BoMADS50 and BoMADS50-1 bind to the promoter fragment of itself and the SHORT VEGETATIVE PHASE(SVP)-like gene BoSVP,but only BoMADS50-1 can positively induce their transcription.Therefore,nucleotide variations likely endow BoMADS50-1 with strong regulatory activity.Thus,BoMADS50 and BoMADS50-1/2/3/4 are probably important positive flowering regulators in B.oldhamii.Moreover,the functional conservatism and speci ficity of BoMADS50 and BoMADS50-1 might be related to the synchronized and sporadic flowering characteristics of B.oldhamii.Dan Hou Ling Li Tengfei Ma Jialong Pei Zhongyu Zhao Mengzhu Lu Aimin Wu Xinchun Lin 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:4
6Efficacy of water fraction from Dioscorea cirrhosa on oxidative stress and apoptosis in H9c2 cardiomyocytes induced by H2O2显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the efficacy of water fraction from Dioscorea cirrhosa(WF)on oxidative damage and apoptosis of cardiomyocytes induced by H2O2,and to study its mechanism.METHODS:Cell viability was measured by the MST assay kit.The content of malondialdehyde(MDA),release of lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)and activity of catalase(CAT)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)were detected by biochemical kit.The content of reactive oxygen species(ROS)was assessed by nonfluorescent probe 2′,7′-dichlorofluorescin diacetate(DCFH-DA).JC-1 was used to analyze the mitochondrial membrane potential(mtΔΨ)and Annexin-V-FITC/PI staining was applied to assess apoptosis of H9c2 by flow cytometry.Moreover,the expression of B-cell lymphoma-2(Bcl-2),Bcl-2-associated X(Bax),caspase-3,caspase-9,cleaved-caspase-3 and cleaved-caspase-9 proteins was determined by western blot analysis.RESULTS:WF increased cell viability and decreased LDH leakage in H9c2 cells exposed to H2O2.WF treatment decreased ROS and MDA level,enhanced SOD and CAT activities,improved mtΔΨand inhibited apoptosis.Western blot analysis demonstrated that the ratio of Bcl-2/Bax was increased and the expression cleaved-caspase-3,caspase-3,cleaved-caspase-9 and caspase-9 were decreased in group treated with WF.CONCLUSION:WF protects H9c2 myocardial cells on H2O2-induced oxidative stress and apoptosis by scavenging ROS,improving antioxidant capacity,protecting mitochondrial and regulating the proteins expression related to apoptosis.LIU Chunhua PAN Jie WANG Aimin LAN Yanyu LI Yongjun LU Yuan SUN Jia WANG Yonglin LIU Ting LU Dingyan YOU Jingrui 2021Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,1:4
7Phenolic Composition Analysis and Gene Expression in Developing Seeds of Yellow-and Black-seeded Brassica napus显示文摘Breeders have focused on yellow-seeded Brassica napus (rapeseed) for its better quality com- pared with the black-seeded variety. Moreover, flavonoids have been associated with this kind of rapeseed. In this study, we applied lipid chromatography-electrospray ionization mass spec- trometry (LC-ESI-MSn ) to compare flavonoids in developing seeds of natural black-seeded B. na- pus and yellow-seeded introgression lines selected from progenies of B. napus-Sinapis alba so- matic hybrids. Aside from the most abundant phenolic compounds (sinapine and sinapic acid) and 1, 2-disinapoylglucose, 16 different flavonoids were identified and quantified, including (-)- epicatechin, five monocharged oligomers of (-)-epicatechin ([DP 2]- , [DP 3]- , [DP 4] [DP 2]- B2 and [DP 2]- B5), quercetin, kaempferol, isorhamnetin-dihexoside, kaempferol-sinapoyl-trihexoside, isorhamnetin- sinapoyl-trihexoside, isorhamnetin-hexoside-sulfate, and isorhamnetin-3-O-glucoside. Most of the flavonoids accumulated with seed development, whereas some rapidly decreased during maturation. The content of these flavonoids was lower in the yellow-seeded materials than in the black seeds. In addition, variations of insoluble procyanidin oligomers and soluble phenolic acids were observed among both rapeseed varieties. Transcriptome changes of genes participating in the flavonoid pathway were discovered by quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction analysis. 9转录组-代谢组联合分析揭示低温下采后雷竹笋木质化分子调控机制显示文摘雷竹(Phyllostachys violascens)笋是中国传统的山珍之一,是一种天然绿色食品。但其采后易消耗大量水分和营养而快速老化,在一般条件下难以贮藏。文中首次通过“转录组—代谢组”联合分析揭示了低温贮藏条件下雷竹笋木质化的调控机制,研究表明:与常温贮藏相比,低温可显著抑制采后竹笋中PAL、POD酶活性,降低失水率和总木质素含量,从而将竹笋保鲜时间至少延长20 d。通过“转录组—代谢组”联合分析表明,低温下竹笋木质素前体物质、茉莉酸含量呈上升趋势,并在后期显著富集,说明低温可诱导茉莉酸积累、抑制木质素合成。对低温响应、茉莉酸合成和木质素合成通路关键基因进行筛选,并通过共表达分析发现,低温信号可能通过“低温—木质化”和“低温—茉莉酸—木质化”2种通路共同抑制采后竹笋中木质素合成,延缓其保鲜时间。上述结果可为揭示采后竹笋木质化分子调控通路研究提供了一定依据。侯丹(翻译) 林新春(翻译) Haiwen Lu Zhongyu Zhao Jialong Pei Huqing Yang Aimin Wu Xuejun Yu 2021世界竹藤通讯2021,19,5:2
