| 1 | Curative effect of warming kidney and fortifying spleen recipe on diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the curative effect of a recipe for warming the kidney and fortifying the spleen on diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome(IBS-D).METHODS:This multi-center,double-blind,randomized,and controlled trial included 240 patients that met the inclusion criterion and were then divided into two groups of 120.Patients in the treatment group(group A)took modified Sishen Wan orally for warming the kidney and fortifying the spleen and patients in the control group(group B)took a placebo,Chao Maiya,for 4 weeks.28 days after withdrawal,there was a 6-month follow-up to observe patient recurrence condition.The total effective rate,curative effect,and recurrence rate were evaluated after treatment.RESULTS:There was statistical difference(P<0.01)between the two groups in total effective rate(92.24%in the treatment group and 49.07%in the control group),in curative effect of TCM syndrome(90.52%and 47.22%,respectively),and in the recurrence rate(15.79%and 56.86%,respectively)within6 months after treatment.CONCLUSION:Modified Sishen Wan,for warming the kidney and fortifying the spleen,can effectively treat IBS-D and better control its recurrence. | Xiaolan Su Yanping Tang Jing Zhang Yuebin Dong Wei Wei Yibing Bai Yong Liu | 2013 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,5: | 22 |
| 2 | Trace detection of Ce^(3+) by adsorption strip voltammetry at a carbon paste electrode modified with ion imprinted polymers显示文摘To develop a convenient method for sensitive and selective determination of Ce3+ in aqueous phase with complicated matrices, a carbon paste electrode(CPE) modified with ion imprinted polymers(IIPs) were fabricated. The polymers were prepared by precipitation polymerization using Ce3+ as template, allyl phenoxyacetate(APA) as monomer, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate(EGDMA) as crosslinker and azobisisobutyronitrile(AIBN) as initiator under the molar ratio of Ce3+, APA and EGDMA as 1:4:40, respectively. Ce^(3+) was detected directly by differential pulse adsorptive stripping voltammetry(DPASV) and its oxidation peak appears at about 0.93 V. All parameters affecting the sensor's response are optimized and a calibration curve is plotted at a linear range of 1.0 × 10^(-6)-1.0 x 10^(-5) mol/L and 1.0×10^(-5)-2.0 × 10^(-4)mol/L with the detection limit of 1.5 × 10^(-7) mol/L. | 3 | Basic fibroblast growth factor protects against influenza A virus-induced acute lung injury by recruiting neutrophils显示文摘Influenza virus (IAV)infection is a major cause of severe respiratory illness that affects almost every country in the world.IAV infections result in respiratory illness and even acute lung injury and death,but the underlying mechanisms responsible for IAV pathogenesis have not yet been fully elucidated.In this study,the basic fibroblast growth factor 2 (FGF2)level was markedly increased in H1N1 virus-infected humans and mice.FGF2,which is predominately derived from epithelial cells,recruits and activates neutrophils via the FGFR2-PI3K-AKT-NFKB signaling pathway.FGF2 depletion or knockout exacerbated influenzaassociated disease by impairing neutrophil recruitment and activation.More importantly,administration of the recombinant FGF2 protein significantly aUeviated the severity of IAV-induced lung injury and promoted the survival of IAV-infected mice.Based on the results from experiments in which neutrophils were depleted and adoptively transferred,FGF2 protected mice against IAV , infection by recruiting neutrophils.Thus,FGF2 plays a critical role in preventing IAV-induced lung injury,and FGF2 is a promising potential therapeutic target during IAV infection. | Keyu Wang Chengcai Lai Tieling Li Cheng Wang Wei Wang Bing Ni Changqing Bai Shaogeng Zhang Lina Han Hongjing Gu Zhongpeng Zhao Yueqiang Duan Xiaolan Yang Li Xing Lingna Zhao Shanshan Zhou Min Xia Chengyu Jiang Xiliang Wang Penghui Yang | 2018 | Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2018,10,6: | 3 |

| 6 | Fiber‑Optic Microfiber:Tracking Activity Enhancement and Suppression of Heterogeneous Photocatalysts显示文摘Obtaining detailed insight into the photocatalytic performance of heterogeneous photocatalytic materials,is important for evaluating material properties as well as guiding material design.However,capture of the detailed matter changes on a photocatalyst surface in real time,and in situ during photocatalysis remains challenging.This work reports a promising optical microfiber sensor integrating a photocatalytic reaction monolayer on an optical microfiber surface to monitor reaction kinetics using Cu_(2)O-based heterogeneous photocatalysts,as an example.The evanescent field of microfiber is used to track the photocatalytic process in real time,through the interaction with the catalytic layer,by monitoring the surface refractive index changes caused by adsorption and degradation.Since the catalytic layer is less than 1µm thick,the typical high-power light source can be replaced by low-power light irradiation.This method successfully reveals that relative to the pristine Cu_(2)O microspheres,the photocatalytic activity is enhanced by the incorporation of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene into Cu_(2)O,whereas incorporation of CdS into Cu_(2)O suppresses the activity.Compared with the existing methods used for photocatalysis evalu-ation,this optical microfiber can be directly employed in real matrices to track local photocatalytic performance.It can also provide details about the different adsorption/degradation kinetics of photocatalysts.It is suitable for most photocatalytic processes and is not limited to pollutants with characteristic UV–visible absorption spectra.This study provides important inspiration for the future development of in situ,real-time reaction assessment. | Yunyun Huang Jiaxuan Liang Pengwei Chen Jiaxin Wan Haotian Wu Xiaolan Wu Aoxiang Xiao Bai‑Ou Guan | 2023 | Advanced Fiber Materials2023,5,2: | 0 |
