| 1 | Ecotoxicological effects of polycyclic musks and cadmium on seed germination and seedling growth of wheat(Triticum aestivum)显示文摘Single and joint toxic effects of polycyclic musks including 1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydro-4,6,6,7,8,8-hexamethylcyclopenta[g]-2benzopyran (HHCB) and 7-acetyl-1,1,3,4,4,6-hexamethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronapthalene (AHTN) and cadmium (Cd) on seed germination and seedling growth of wheat (Triticum aestivum) were investigated.The results showed that the toxicity sequence of HHCB toxic to wheat seed germination and seedling growth was similar to that of AHTN,that is,germination rate > shoot elongation > root elongation,while the toxicity of Cd was in the sequence of root elongation > shoot elongation > germination rate,according to the LC50 and EC50 values.It is suggested that polycyclic musks and Cd had different toxicological mechanisms.Root and shoot elongation of wheat might be good bioindicators for the contamination of polycyclic musks and Cd in soil.The mixture of polycyclic musks and Cd had synergistic effects on T.aestivum according to the equi-toxic mixture approach when root elongation was selected as the toxicological endpoint.Thus,the joint toxicity of HHCB and Cd was significantly higher than the single toxicity of HHCB or Cd,which was also confirmed by the EC50 mix value of the mixture (EC50 mix=0.530 TU mix).The EC50 mix value of the mixture of AHTN and Cd was 0.614 TU mix,which indicated that the mixture toxicity was strengthened when AHTN coexisted with Cd. | Cuihong Chen Qixing Zhou Yanyu Bao Yaning Li Ping Wang | 2010 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,12: | 2 |

| 8 | Oil Production Optimization by Means of a Combined“Plugging,Profile Control,and Flooding”Treatment:Analysis of Results Obtained Using Computer Tomography and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance显示文摘Due to long-term water injection,often oilfields enter the so-called medium and high water cut stage,and it is difficult to achieve good oil recovery and water reduction through standard methods(single profile control and flooding measures).Therefore,in this study,a novel method based on“plugging,profile control,and flooding”being implemented at the same time is proposed.To assess the performances of this approach,physical simulations,computer tomography,and nuclear magnetic resonance are used.The results show that the combination of a gel plugging agent,a polymer microsphere flooding agent,and a high-efficiency oil displacement agent leads to better results in terms of oil recovery with respect to the situation in which these approaches are used separately(the oil recovery is increased by 15.37%).Computer tomography scan results show that with the combined approach,a larger sweep volume and higher oil washing efficiency are obtained.The remaining oil in the cluster form can be recovered in the middle and low permeability layer,increasing the proportion of the columnar and blind end states of the oil.The nuclear magnetic resonance test results show that the combined“plugging,profile control,and flooding”treatment can also be used to control more effectively the dominant channels of the high permeability layer and further expand the recovery degree of the remaining oil in the pores of different sizes in the middle and low permeability layers.However,for the low permeability layer(permeability difference of 20),the benefits in terms of oil recovery are limited. | Yanyue Li Changlong Liu Wenbo Bao Baoqing Xue Peng Lv Nan Wang Hui Li Wenguo Ma | 2022 | Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2022,18,3: | 1 |

| 11 | Bone morphogenetic protein 4 (BMP4) promotes hepatic glycogen accumulation and reduces glucose level in hepatocytes through mTORC2 signaling pathway显示文摘Liver is an important organ for regulating glucose and lipid metabolism.Recent studies have shown that bone morphogenetic proteins(BMPs)may play important roles in regu-lating glucose and lipid metabolism.Inour previous studies,we demonstrated that BMP4 signif-icantly inhibits hepatic steatosis and lowers serum triglycerides,playing a protective role against the progression of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).However,the direct impact of BMP4 on hepatic glucose metabolism is poorly understood.Here,we investigated the regulatory roles of BMP4 in hepatic glucose metabolism.Through a comprehensive analysis of the 14 types of BMPs,we found that BMP4 was one of the most potent BMPs in promoting hepatic glycogen accumulation,reducing the level of glucose in hepatocytes and effecting the expression of genes related to glucose metabolism.Mechanistically,we demonstrated that BMP4 reduced the hepatic glucose lewels through the activation of mTORC2 signaling pathway in vitro and in wivo.Collectively,our findings strongly suggest that BMP4 may play an essential role in regulating hepatic glucose metabolism.This knowledge should aid us to understand the molecular pathogenesis of NAFLD,and may lead to the development of novel therapeutics by exploiting the inhibitory effects of BMPs on hepatic glucose and lipid metabolism. | Liqin An Qiong Shi Ying Zhu Hao Wang Qi Peng Jinghong Wu Yu Cheng Wei Zhang Yanyu Yi Zihao Bao Hui Zhang Yetao Luo Jiaming Fan | 2021 | Genes & Diseases2021,8,4: | 1 |
