| 2 | Inhibitory effect of acupuncture on neuronalapoptosis in rats after cerebral ischemia显示文摘BACKGROUND:Delayed neuronal death after total cerebral ischemia may accompany with apoptosis,but acupuncture may play a certain role in protecting nerve through inhibiting ischemic neuronal apoptosis.OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of acupuncture on neuronal apoptosis in rats after cerebral ischemia and analyze its cerebral protective mechanism.DESIGN:Contrast observation among groups.SETTING:Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.MATERIALS:A total of 30 male healthy Wistar rats of general grade and weighing(250±20)g were randomly divided into three groups,including sham operation group,cerebral ischemia group and acupuncture group with 10 rats in each group.Apoptosis in situ kit was provided by Baolingman Company,Germany.METHODS:The experiment was carried out in the Laboratory Center,Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May to November 2004.① Rats in the cerebral ischemia group and the acupuncture group were used to establish total cerebral ischemic models with four vessels occlusion;in addition,models in the sham operation group were established with the same method as mentioned above.However,four vessels of rats in the sham operation were exposured and cerebral ischemia did not occur.Rats in the acupuncture group were given acupuncture treatment after operation.Needle of 40 mm in length was used to acupuncture bilateral Zusanli(St 36)and Quchi(LI 11)with the depth of 3 mm,and then bilateral acupoints were connected with KWD-808II omnipotenc impulse electro-therapeutic apparatus(frequency:1 Hz;thin waves;voltage:2 V)once a day for totally 30 minutes.Meanwhile,needle of 25 mm in length was used to acupuncture Baihui(Du 20)with the depth of 3 mm,and then the needle was twirled once every 5 minutes for 30 minutes in total.The course was 7 days.② Neuronal injuries in hippocampal CA1 area after cerebral ischemia were observed with Nissl body staining method at 7 days after treatment;neuronal apoptosis was observed with TUNEL staining;manifestations of neuronal apoptosis in cerebral cortex and hippocampal CA1 area were observed with electron microscope.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Neuronal injuries in hippocampal CA1 area after cerebral ischemia;neuronal apoptosis in cerebral cortex and hippocampal CA1 area after cerebral ischemia;morphological changes under electron microscope.RESULTS:Among 30 Wistar rats,24 rats were involved in the final analysis.① Expression of positive neurons in cerebral cortex and hippocampal CA1 area with Nissl body staining:Neuronal defect was obvious in cerebral cortex and hippocampal CA1 area in the cerebral ischemia group as compared with that in the sham operation group(P < 0.05),and neuronal defect was decreased in hippocampal CA1 area in the cerebral ischemia group as compared with that in the acupuncture group(P < 0.05).② Expression of positive neurons in cerebral cortex and hippocampal CA1 area with TUNEL staining:Positive neurons with TUNEL staining were not observed in the sham operation group,but positive neurons were increased in the cerebral ischemia group as compared with those in the acupuncture group(P <0.05).③ Observational results of electron microscope:Neuronal apoptosis was not found in the sham operation group;neuronal apoptosis was rarely found in the acupuncture group;neuronal apoptosis was typical in the cerebral ischemia group.CONCLUSION:Delayed neuronal death after total cerebral ischemia may accompany with apoptosis,but acupuncture may play a certain role in protecting nerve through inhibiting ischemic neuronal apoptosis. | Bangyu Ju Jing Zhang Guohua Jiang | 2007 | Neural Regeneration Research2007,2,4: | 3 |
| 3 | Reconstruction clipping of ruptured anterior circulation aneurysms via supraorbital lateral keyhole approach显示文摘Background:Intracranial aneurysm(IA)is a serious disease.Analyze and review the cases of anterior circulation ruptured IA by supraorbital lateral keyhole approach,and summarize the experiences of this approach.Methods:Retrospective analysis of 16 cases of ruptured anterior circulation IA in our department from January 2019 to June 2020,CT angiography(CTA)was performed before operation.Analyzing the IA’s parameters by 3D-CT reconstruction.The IA was clipped by supraorbital lateral keyhole approach combined with the 3D-skull reconstruction.Extraventricular drainage was performed before craniotomy.Intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring was performed during the operation.After operation,fluorescein angiography and vascular ultrasound were performed to check the clipping effect.Intracranial pressure monitor was performed postoperatively.CTA was reexamined one week after operation.The modified Rankin Scale(MRS)was performed 6 months after operation.Results:There were 7 males(43.8%)and 9 females(56.2%),and the average age is 52.31±11.12 years old.Among them,11 patients(68.8%)were anterior communicating artery aneurysms and 5(31.2%)were middle cerebral artery aneurysms.All patients were out of hospital within 10 days without any death,without cerebral infarction,cerebrospinal fluid leakage and neurological impairments.About mRS score,after 6 months follow-up,8 cases(50%)had 0 point,4 cases(25%)had 1 point,and 4 cases(25%)had 2 points.Conclusions:For ruptured anterior circulation IA,the supraorbital lateral keyhole approach combined with ventricular drainage,intraoperative electrophysiological monitoring,and intraoperative vascular ultrasound is a safe and minimally invasive treatment.The application of reconstruction clipping can reconstruct the diameter of parent vessel and reduce the recurrence rate of IA. | Yuzhang Wu Yan Zhao Shengping Yu Fan Li Shifei Cai Chao Peng Zhen Wang Yifan Yang Bangyue Wang Xinyu Yang | 2022 | Chinese Neurosurgical Journal2022,8,2: | 2 |

| 7 | Facial nucleus up-regulation of brain-derived neurotrophic factor mRNA following electroacupuncture treatment in a rabbit model of facial nerve injury显示文摘BACKGROUND:The effect of acupuncture treatment on peripheral facial nerve injury is generally ac-cepted. However,the mechanisms of action remain poorly understood. OBJECTIVE: To validate the effect of acupoint electro-stimulation on brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) mRNA expression in the facial nucleus of rabbits with facial nerve injury,with the hypothesis that acupuncture treatment efficacy is related to BDNF. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING: Peripheral facial nerve injury,in situ hybridization,and randomized,controlled,animal trial. The experiment was performed at the Laboratory of Anatomy,Heilongjiang Univer-sity of Chinese Medicine from March to September 2005. MATERIALS: A total of 120 healthy,adult,Japanese rabbits,with an equal number of males and females were selected. Models of peripheral facial nerve injury were established using the facial nerve pressing method. METHODS: The rabbits were randomly divided into five groups (n=24): sham operation,an incision to the left facial skin,followed by suture; model,no treatment following facial nerve model establishment; western medicine,10 mg vitamin B1,50 μg vitamin B12,and dexamethasone (2 mg/d,reduced to half every 7 days) intramuscular injection starting with the first day following lesion,once per day; traditional acupuncture,acupuncture at Yifeng,Quanliao,Dicang,Jiache,Sibai,and Yangbai acupoints using a acupuncture needle with needle twirling every 10 minutes,followed by needle retention for 30 minutes,for successive 5 days; electroacupuncture,similar to the traditional acupuncture group,the Yifeng (negative electrode),Jiache (posi-tive electrode),Dicang (negative electrode),and Sibai (positive electrode) points were connected to an uni-versal pulse electro-therapeutic apparatus for 30 minutes per day,with disperse-dense waves for successive 5 days,and resting for 2 days. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Left hemisphere brain stem tissues were harvested on post-operative days 7,14,21,and 28 under a dissecting microscope. Neuronal appearance in the facial nucleus was ob-served following Nissl staining. BDNF mRNA expression in the facial nucleus was determined using in situ hybridization. RESULTS: A total of 120 rabbits were included in the final analysis. In the model group,the nucleolus was asymmetric with cell body swelling,and the number of Nissl bodies decreased. With increasing time,there were more Nissl bodies in the western medicine,traditional acupuncture,and electroacupuncture groups,in particular the electroacupuncture group. However,the number of Nissl bodies remained less than in the sham operation group. The number of BDNF-positive neurons in the facial nucleus was significantly greater in the western medicine,traditional acupuncture,and electroacupuncture groups,compared with the model group (P<0.01). The number of BDNF-positive neurons in the facial nucleus of reached a minimum in the elec-troacupuncture group on post-surgery day 21,and increased by day 28,but remained less than control levels. CONCLUSION: Electroacupuncture at acupoints increased BDNF expression in the facial nucleus,allevi-ated neuronal injury in the facial nucleus,and promoted facial nerve regeneration. | 14 | A novel method for reconstruction in laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy:an experience of 13 cases显示文摘Laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy(LPD)is a challenging operation to general surgeon.Up to date,only about 135 cases have been reported,16 cases in China,119 cases outside China.The reconstruction of alimentary system is a key procedure to ensure success of the whole surgery.It is worth investigating the methods of reconstruc-tion in LPD.A retrospective study is made to investigate the methods of reconstruction in LPD.We analyze 13 cases of LPD performed in our center.Child’s or modified Child’s method was used to make the reconstruction in our practice.We tried three methods to make the anastomosis of pancre-aticojejunostomy,including end-to-end dunking binding pancreaticojejunostomy in two cases,end-to-end dunking pancreaticojejunostomy using interrupted suture in two cases,and duct-to-jejunal end-to-side embedding pancreaticojeju-nostomy in nine cases.The clinical data was collected and analyzed.Three of four patients,who underwent end-to-end pancreaticojejunostomy,had a little pancreatic leakage,especially in the first case.None of other nine patients,who underwent duct-to-jejunal end-to-side embedding pancreati-cojejunostomy,was detected to have pancreatic leakage,and the operating time of these nine cases was less than other four cases.Duct-to-jejunal end-to-side embedding pancreaticoje-junostomy is a safe and efficient method of reconstruction in LPD. | LU Bangyu HUANG Yubin CAI Xiaoyong HUANG Fei LI Jie LU Wenqi XU Jing LIU Zujun YAN Yihe LI Jianjun | 2007 | Frontiers of Medicine2007,1,4: | 1 |

| 16 | Global instability index as a crystallographic stability descriptor of halide and chalcogenide perovskites显示文摘Crystallographic stability is an important factor that affects the stability of perovskites.The stability dictates the commercial applications of lead-based organometal halide perovskites.The tolerance factor(t)and octahedral factor(μ)form the state-of-the-art criteria used to evaluate the perovskite crystallographic stability.We studied the crystallographic stabilities of halide and chalcogenide perovskites by exploring an effective alternative descriptor,the global instability index(GII)that was used as an indicator of the stability of perovskite oxides.We particularly focused on determining crystallographic reliability by calculating GII.We analyzed the bond valence models of the 243 halide and chalcogenide perovskites that occupied the lowest-energy cubic-phase structures determined by conducting the first-principles-based total energy minimization calculations.The decomposition energy(ΔHD)reflects the thermodynamic stability of the system and is considered as the benchmark that helps assess the effectiveness of GII in evaluating the crystallographic stability of the systems under study.The results indicated that the accuracy of predicting thermodynamic stability was significantly higher when GII(73.6%)was analyzed compared to the cases when t(55%)andμ(39.1%)were analyzed to determine the stability.The results obtained from the machine learning-based data mining method further indicate that GII is an important descriptor of the stability of the perovskite family. | Weiqiang Feng Ruoting Zhao Xiaoyu Wang Bangyu Xing Yilin Zhang Xin He Lijun Zhang | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,7: | 1 |

| 20 | Classification of Rice Yield Using UAV-Based Hyperspectral Imagery and Lodging Feature显示文摘High-yield rice cultivation is an effective way to address the increasing food demand worldwide.Correct classification of high-yield rice is a key step of breeding.However,manual measurements within breeding programs are time consuming and have high cost and low throughput,which limit the application in large-scale field phenotyping.In this study,we developed an accurate large-scale approach and presented the potential usage of hyperspectral data for rice yield measurement using the XGBoost algorithm to speed up the rice breeding process for many breeders.In total,13 japonica rice lines in regional trials in northern China were divided into different categories according to the manual measurement of yield.Using an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)platform equipped with a hyperspectral camera to capture images over multiple time series,a rice yield classification model based on the XGBoost algorithm was proposed.Four comparison experiments were carried out through the intraline test and the interline test considering lodging characteristics at the midmature stage or not.The result revealed that the degree of lodging in the midmature stage was an important feature affecting the classification accuracy of rice.Thus,we developed a low-cost,high-throughput phenotyping and nondestructive method by combining UAV-based hyperspectral measurements and machine learning for estimation of rice yield to improve rice breeding efficiency. | Jian Wang Bizhi Wu Markus VKohnen Daqi Lin Changcai Yang Xiaowei Wang Ailing Qiang Wei Liu Jianbin Kang Hua Li Jing Shen Tianhao Yao Jun Su Bangyu Li Lianfeng Gu | 2021 | Plant Phenomics2021,3,1: | 0 |
