| 1 | High resolution temperature measurement technique for measuring marine heat flow显示文摘High resolution temperature measurement technique is one of the key techniques for measuring marine heat flow. Basing on Pt1000 platinum resistance which has the characteristics of high accuracy and good stability, we designed a bridge reversal excitation circuit for high resolution temperature measurement. And the deep ocean floor in-situ test results show that: (1) temperature deviation and peak-to-peak resolution of the first version circuit board (V1) are 1.960-1.990 mK and 0.980-0.995 m Kat 1.2-2.7°C, respectively; and temperature deviation and peak-to-peak resolution of the second circuit board (V2) are 2.260mK and 1.130 mK at 1.2-1.3°C, respectively; (2) During the 2012NSFC-IndOcean cruise, seafloor geothermal gradient at Ind2012HF03,-07 and-12 stations (water depth ranges from 3841 to 4541 m) were successfully measured, the values are 59.1,75.1 and 71.6°C/km, respectively. And the measurement errors of geothermal gradient at these three stations are less than 3.0% in terms of the peak-to-peak resolution. | 2 | Application of a novel backwashing process in upflow biological aerated filter显示文摘To improve the efficiency of backwashing in upflow biological aerated filter (BAF), a novel backwashing process named air-water siphon backwashing (AWSB) was proposed and applied on laboratory scale. The effects of backwashing on turbidity and suspended solid (SS) in backwashing efluent using this new backwashing process were compared with those of traditional backwashing process, namely air-water backwashing (AWB). In AWB, the turbidity of backwashing efluent maintained 100 NUT when consumed 60 min and 10.5 L water. However, in AWSB, it declined to 44 NUT, consumed 40 min, and 7 L water. The COD removal of BAF after backwashing was also analyzed. The average removal rate of COD in the reactor backwashed by AWB and AWSB was 89.34% and 90.91%, respectively. Compared with AWB, the backwashing interval had been prolonged 35%. The volume of backwashing water in that AWSB was only 66.7% of that in AWB. The results demonstrated that AWSB required less water and took shorter backwashing time relative to AWB to achieve the same turbidity of backwashing efluent, and AWSB was more effective in removing fouling than that of AWB. | 3 | Investigate of in situ sludge reduction in sequencing batch biofilm reactor:Performances,mechanisms and comparison of different carriers显示文摘Biofilm is an effective simultaneous denitrification and in situ sludge reduction system,and the characteristics of different biofilm carrier have important implications for biofilm growth and in situ sludge reduction.In this study,the performance and mechanism of in situ sludge reduction were compared between FSC-SBBR and SC-SBBR with constructed by composite floating spherical carriers(FSC)and multi-faceted polyethylene suspension carriers(SC),respectively.The variation of EPS concentration indicated that the biofilm formation of FSC was faster than SC.Compared with SCSBBR,the FSC-SBBR yielded 0.16 g MLSS/g COD,almost 27.27%less sludge.The average removal rates of COD and NH_(4)^(+)-N were 93.39% and 96.66%,respectively,which were 5.21% and 1.43% higher than the average removal rate of SC-SBBR.Investigation of the mechanisms of sludge reduction revealed that,energy uncoupling metabolism and sludge decay were the main factors for sludge reduction inducing 43.13%and 49.65%less sludge,respectively,in FSC-SBBR.EEM fluorescence spectroscopy and SUVA analysis showed that the hydrolytic capacity of biofilm attached in FSC was stronger than those of SC,and the hydrolysis of EPS released more DOM contributed to lysis-cryptic growth metabolism.In additional,Bacteroidetes and Mizugakiibacter associated with sludge reduction were the dominant phylum and genus in FCS-SBBR.Thus,the effect of simultaneous in situ sludge reduction and pollutant removal in FSC-SBBR was better. | Yonglei Wang Baozhen Liu Kefeng Zhang Yongjian Liu Xuexin Xu Junqi Jia | 2018 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2018,12,5: | 7 |
| 4 | MHC polymorphism and disease-resistance to Edwardsiella tarda in six turbot(Scophthalmus maximus) families显示文摘This study examined genetic variation in the major histocompatibility complex(MHC) Class II B gene in turbot(Scophthalmus maximus) by virulent bacterial pathogen challenge.One hundred fry from each of six families were infected with Edwardsiella tarda by intraperitoneal injection.Family mortality ranged from 28.0% to 83.3%.Complete exon 2 and intron 1 sequences of MHC Class II B genes were amplified from five survivor and five non-survivor individuals per family using the clone-sequence method.Thirty-seven sequences from 60 individuals revealed 37 different alleles,25 of which were unique to this study.The 25 unique alleles belonged to 16 major allele types.Nine alleles were used to examine the association between alleles and resistance/susceptibility to disease.Five alleles were present in an individual,suggesting a minimum of three loci or copies of the turbot MHC Class II B gene.The rate of non-synonymous substitution(d N) was 2.30 and 1.58 times higher than synonymous substitution(d S) in the peptide-binding regions(PBR) and non-PBR in whole families,respectively,which suggested balancing selection on exon 2 of the MHC Class II B gene in turbot.One allele,Scma-DBB1*02,was significantly more prevalent in survivor stock than in non-survivor stock(P=0.001).Therefore,this allele might be associated with resistance to bacteria.A second allele,Scma-DBB1*10,was significantly more prevalent in non-survivor stock(P=0.021),and is likely associated with susceptibility to bacteria. | DU Min CHEN SongLin LIU YanHong NIU BaoZhen YANG JingFeng ZHANG Bo | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,25: | 5 |

| 6 | Insecticidal activity of residual Bt protein at the second trophic level显示文摘Measurements were taken of Bt protein expressed in the leaves of transgenic cotton (Gos- sypium hirsutum) transformed with a synthesized Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) cry1A gene and its persistent level in larval bodies and faeces of a non-targeted insect pest, beet armyworm (Spodoptera exigua). We performed enzyme linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) and bioassays using neonate larvae of cot- ton bollworm (Helicoverpa armigera) to detect the insecticidal activity of residual Bt protein at the sec- ond trophic level. The results showed that Bt protein content in functional leaves was different at various developmental stages and was different among plants at the same stage. Even though Bt protein concentration in the larval bodies and faeces de- creased 97.5%―99% compared to that found in cotton leaves subsequently fed to beet armyworm larvae, it still had a lethal effect on neonate cotton bollworm larvae. Therefore, Bt protein present at the second trophic level had insecticidal activity. | 7 | Clinical effect of Jiutengzhuyu tablets on promoting blood circulation in women with oviducal obstruction显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To test the clinical curative effect of Jiutengzhuyu tablets,a patented Chinese vine-derived drug used for promoting blood circulation,on women with oviducal obstruction.METHODS:Patients with tubal infertility were divided randomly into two groups:58 patients in the treatment group and 57 in a control group.The treated patients took Jiutengzhuyu tablets orally for 25 days.The control group received an intrauterine infusion of 5 mg dexamethasone sodium phosphate,4000 units of chymotrypsin,80 000 units of gentamicin sulfate dissolved in 20 mL of normal saline at 1 mL/min.After 3 months of treatment,the curative effect on tubal patency was assessed and a 1-year follow-up visit was used to document any pregnancies.RESULTS:The total effective rate was 78% in the treatment group and 32% in the control group with a statistically significant difference(χ 2 =24.57,P<0.01).CONCLUSION:Jiutengzhuyu was effective in treating infertility caused by tubal infertility with aTraditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis of blood stasis. | Baozhen Pang Qingyang Pang Huiqing Pang Guohong Song | 2012 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,4: | 3 |
| 8 | Coordinated transcription of ANRIL and P16 genes is silenced by P16 DNA methylation显示文摘Objective: To investigate the relationship between the transcription of ANRIL, P15, P14 and P16 at the same locus and the regulation mechanism of ANRIL.Methods: Publicly available database of Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia(CCLE) was used in bioinformatic analyses. Methylation of Cp G islands was detected by denaturing high performance liquid chromatography(DHPLC). Gene transcript levels were determined using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(q RTPCR) assays. An engineered P16-specific transcription factor and DNA methyltransferase were used to induce P16-specific DNA demethylation and methylation.Results: The expression level of ANRIL was positively and significantly correlated with that of P16 but not with that of P15 in the CCLE database. This was confirmed in human cell lines and patient colon tissue samples. In addition, ANRIL was significantly upregulated in colon cancer tissues. Transcription of ANRIL and P16 was observed only in cell lines in which the P16 alleles were unmethylated and not in cell lines with fully methylated P16 alleles.Notably, P16-specific methylation significantly decreased transcription of P16 and ANRIL in BGC823 and GES1 cells. | 9 | Geothermal occurrence analysis of Dongying Formation in Tanggu area of Tianjin显示文摘Based on introducing geological structure of Tanggu area,the authors analyzed the sedimentary environment of Paleogene Dongying Formation,and further analyzed its geothermal occurrence. The studied area spans two grade Ⅳ tectonic units which are Beitang depression and Banqiao depression. The studied area is mainly located in the Tanggu nose-like structure which is the secondary structure of Beitang depression. Its existence affects the sedimentary distribution of the part strata of Paleogene. The depositions of Dongying Ⅲ( SQEd3) and DongyingⅡ( SQEd2) are mainly delta front facies and lake sand bars which are propitious to the geothermal fluid enrichment. The favorable enrichment region of geothermal fluid is located in south HetouTanggu. Most of DongyingⅠ( SQEd1) changes into swamp plain deposition,only the northeast part of this area is the distributary riverway facies with developed sand layers. There is the favorable enrichment region of geothermal fluid. The hydraulic connection is weak among the geothermal reservoirs of Dongying Formation and its overlying Guantao and Minghuazhen formations. In order to explore the security risks in the voting attack of the DPOS consensus mechanism, an extensive game model between nodes was constructed, and it was concluded that the DPOS consensus mechanism relies too much on tokens, and the possibility of node attacks is very high. In order to solve the problems of frequent changes of DPOS consensus mechanism nodes, inactive node voting, excessive reliance on tokens, and malicious nodes, a dynamic, credible, and attack-evading DPOS consensus mechanism was proposed. | 13 | Effects of different Chinese herbal prescriptions on cytokines in autoimmune prostatitis rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe and compare the effects of Chinese herbal prescriptions for promoting blood circulation,clearing heat,removing toxicity,and dispersing stagnated liver-Qi on cytokines in model rats with experimental autoimmune prostatitis(EAP) to provide an experimental basis for the use of Chinese herbal prescriptions in the treatment of chronic prostatitis.METHODS:One-hundred and ten male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 11 groups:blank group;model group;Huoxuehuayu(promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis) high,middle,and low dose groups;Qingrejiedu(clearing heat and removing toxicity) high,middle,and low dose groups;and Shuganliqi(dispersing stagnated liver-Qi) high,middle,and low dose groups.Except the blank group,rats in all groups were injected subcutaneously in multiple points on days 0 and 30 with prostatic protein extractive solution(60 mg/ml_),and intraperitoneally injected with diphtheria-pertussis and tetanus vaccine(DPT vaccine) to establish the EAP model.Model rats were administrated high,middle,and low doses of Chinese herbal prescriptions and were sacrificed after 4 weeks.Pathological changes in the prostate gland were observed with HE staining and changes in serum interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-8(IL-8),and prostaglandin E_2(PGE_2) levels were detected with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.RESULTS:Compared with the blank group,serum PGE_2,IL-6,and IL-8 levels in the model group were significantly higher(P < 0.05).Compared with the model group,serum PGE_2,IL-6,and IL-8 levels in the Qingrejiedu low dose and middle dose groups were significantly lower(P < 0.05),with the lower dose having a more obvious effect.Serum PGE_2,IL-6,and IL-8 levels in the Huoxuehuayu high dose group(P < 0.05),IL-6 and IL-8 levels in the Huoxuehuayu middle dose group(P < 0.05),and the IL-8level in the Huoxuehuayu low dose group were significantly lower than those in the model group(P < 0.05).There were significant differences in PGE_2 and IL-6 levels among the different dose groups of Shuganliqi drugs(P < 0.05).Compared with the model group,serum PGE_(2/) IL-6,and IL-8levels in the Shuganliqi high dose group(P <0.05) and IL-8 level in the Shuganliqi low dose group were significantly lower(P < 0.05),while the Shuganliqi middle dose group did not change significantly(P > 0.05).CONCLUSION:Therefore,in TCM treatment of autoimmune prostatitis,different treatment methods should select different doses.For prescriptions that clear heat and remove toxicity,low doses should be used.For prescriptions that promote blood circulation to remove blood stasis and for prescriptions that disperse stagnated liver-Qi,high doses should be used. | Song Guohong Zhang Qiumei Pang Baozhen He Lijuan Saimaiti Julaiti Tulahong Aisikeer Gao Xuan You Lina Wuxiuer Reyihan Zhou Wentao Pang Qingyang | 2015 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,2: | 2 |
| 14 | Highly dispersed Pt clusters encapsulated in MIL-125-NH_(2) via in situ auto-reduction method for photocatalytic H_(2) production under visible light显示文摘Efficient hydrogen production via photocatalysis with high utilization efficiency of Pt cocatalyst is of great importance for sustainable development. In this work, we report an in situ auto-reduction strategy to encapsulate highly dispersed Pt clusters inside the cages of MIL-125-NH_(2). The amino groups in MIL-125-NH_(2) first react with formaldehyde to form reducing groups (i.e.,–NH-CH_(2)OH), which can in situ auto-reduce the confined Pt^(2+) ions to ultrasmall Pt clusters within the cavities. With optimized Pt content, photocatalytic H_(2) production over the obtained Pt(1.5)/MIL-125-NH-CH_(2)OH catalyst with 1.43 wt.% Pt loading achieved as high as 4,496.4 µmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1) under visible light (λ > 420 nm) due to the facilitated transfer and separation of the photo-induced charger carriers arising from the synergetic effects between highly dispersed Pt clusters and MIL-125-NH-CH_(2)OH framework.
