3Microwave diagnostics of magnetic field strengths in solar flaring loops显示文摘We have performed microwave diagnostics of the magnetic field strengths in solar flaring loops based on the theory of gyrosynchrotron emission.From Nobeyama Radioheliograph observations of three flare events at 17 and 34 GHz,we obtained the degree of circular polarization and the spectral index of microwave flux density,which were then used to map the magnetic field strengths in post-flare loops.Our results show that the magnetic field strength typically decreases from ~800 G near the loop footpoints to~100 G at a height of 10-25 Mm.Comparison of our results with magnetic field modeling using a flux rope insertion method is also discussed.Our study demonstrates the potential of microwave imaging observations,even at only two frequencies,in diagnosing the coronal magnetic field of flaring regions.ZHU Rui TAN BaoLin SU YingNa TIAN Hui XU Yu CHEN XingYao SONG YongLiang TAN GuangYu 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,1:3

5Spatial homogenization of soil-surface pollen assemblages improves the reliability of pollen-climate calibration-set显示文摘To make a reliable reconstruction of past climate from soil-surface modern pollen,it is necessary to reduce the sources of error.In this paper,pollen percentages of the sub-continental scale modern pollen-climate dataset from China and Mongolia(with 68%soil-surface samples)are homogenized at various spatial scales.A tailored calibration-set is then applied to lake sediment-surface pollen assemblages from north-central China to evaluate their predictive power.Results indicate that spatial homogenization of modern pollen percentages can increase the proportion of inertia explained by climatic variables in CCA and improve the model performance of leave-one-out cross-validation using WA-PLS.Soil-surface pollen assemblages can thus be employed into a calibration-set for reliable climate estimation and they perform better when the calibration-set has been locally homogenized.Small-scale(e.g.,radii 2,5,or 10 km)homogenization reduces the local noise in soil-surface pollen assemblages and improves the cross-validated performance,while broader scale homogenization(more than 20 km radius)blurs the pollen-climate relationship.Lake sediment-surface pollen assemblages from close to the shore could contain pollen grains transported by rivers or from the shore vegetation and thus fail to represent regional climate well like the assemblages from the central part and deep-water area of lake.Fang TIAN Xianyong CAO Ran ZHANG Qinghai XU Wei DING Xingqi LIU Baolin PAN Jianhui CHEN 2020Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,11:1

9Transport diffuse interface model for simulation of solid-fluid interaction显示文摘For solid-fluid interaction, one of the phase-density equations in diffuse interface models is degenerated to a '0 = 0' equation when the volume fraction of a certain phase takes the value of zero or unity. This is because the conservative variables in phasedensity equations include volume fractions. The degeneracy can be avoided by adding an artificial quantity of another material into the pure phase. However, nonphysical waves,such as shear waves in fluids, are introduced by the artificial treatment. In this paper,a transport diffuse interface model, which is able to treat zero/unity volume fractions, is presented for solid-fluid interaction. In the proposed model, a new formulation for phase densities is derived, which is unrelated to volume fractions. Consequently, the new model is able to handle zero/unity volume fractions, and nonphysical waves caused by artificial volume fractions are prevented. 10Cable-driven legged landing gear for unmanned helicopter:Prototype design,optimization and performance assessment显示文摘Unmanned helicopters equipped with adaptive landing gear will dramatically extend their application especially in dealing with challenging terrains.This study presents a novel cable-driven legged landing gear(CLG)with differential transmission for unmanned helicopters in complex landing environments.To obtain the preferred configuration of the legged mechanism,a multi-objective optimization framework for the CLG is constructed by concurrently considering terrain adaptability,landing stability and reasonable linkage of internal forces.The non-dominated sorting genetic algorithmⅡis employed to numerically acquire the optimal scale parameters that guide the mechanical design of the CLG.An unmanned helicopter prototype equipped with the devised CLG is developed with key performance assessment.Experimental results show that the devised CLG can provide energy-efficient support over uneven terrains(totally driven torque demand less than 0.1 N m)in quasi-static landing tests,and favorable terrain adaptability(posture fluctuation of the fuselage less than±1°)in unknown slope landing tests.These exhibited merits give the proposed CLG the potential to enhance the landing performance of future aircraft in extreme environments.TIAN BaoLin GAO HaiBo YU HaiTao SHAN HaoMin HOU JunChen YU HongYing DENG ZongQuan 2024Science China(Technological Sciences)2024,67,4:0
11A Gas Kinetic Scheme for the Simulation of Compressible Multicomponent Flows显示文摘In this paper,a gas kinetic scheme for the compressible multicomponent flows is presented by making use of two-species BGK model in[A.D.Kotelnikov and D.C.Montgomery,A Kinetic Method for Computing Inhomogeneous Fluid Behavior,J.Comput.Phys.134(1997)364-388].Different from the conventional BGK model,the collisions between different species are taken into consideration.Based on the Chapman-Enskog expansion,the corresponding macroscopic equations are derived from this two-species model.Because of the relaxation terms in the governing equations,the method of operator splitting is applied.In the hyperbolic part,the integral solutions of the BGK equations are used to construct the numerical fluxes at the cell interface in the framework of finite volume method.Numerical tests are presented in this paper to validate the current approach for the compressible multicomponent flows.The theoretical analysis on the spurious oscillations at the interface is also presented.Liang Pan Guiping Zhao Baolin Tian Shuanghu Wang 2013Communications in Computational Physics2013,14,10:0
12A novel carbon cycle process assisted by Ni/La_(2)O_(3) catalyst for enhanced thermochemical CO_(2) splitting显示文摘Thermochemical two-step CO_(2) splitting is a potential approach that fixes the sustainable resource into transportable liquid fuels.However,the harsh CO_(2) splitting conditions,the limited oxygen release kinetics and capacity of metal oxides block further promoted the CO yield and solar-to-fuel energy efficiency.Here,we propose a different carbon cycle assisted by Ni/La_(2)O_(3) via coupling methane decomposition with thermochemical CO_(2) splitting,replacing conventional metal oxides cycle.Superior performance was demonstrated with methane conversion reached around 94%with almost pure H_(2) generation.Encouragingly,CO_(2) conversion of 98%and CO yield of 6.9 mmol g^(-1) derived from CO_(2) were achieved,with peak CO evolution rate(402 mL min^(-1) g^(-1))of orders of magnitude higher than that in metal oxide process and outstanding thermodynamic solar-to-fuel energy efficiency(55.5%vs.18.5%).This was relevant to the synergistic activation of La_(2)O_(3) and Ni for CO_(2) in carbon cycle,thus improving CO_(2) splitting reaction with carbon species.Yu Kang Yujia Han Cong Wei Kuo Liu Ming Tian Chuande Huang Chaojie Wang Jian Lin Baolin Hou Xiaoli Pan Yang Su Lin Li Riguang Zhang Yong Hao Xiaodong Wang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,10:0
13Exosome/metformin-loaded self-healing conductive hydrogel rescues microvascular dysfunction and promotes chronic diabetic wound healing by inhibiting mitochondrial fission显示文摘Chronic diabetic wounds remain a globally recognized clinical challenge.They occur due to high concentrations of reactive oxygen species and vascular function disorders.A promising strategy for diabetic wound healing is the delivery of exosomes,comprising bioactive dressings.Metformin activates the vascular endothelial growth factor pathway,thereby improving angiogenesis in hyperglycemic states.However,multifunctional hydrogels loaded with drugs and bioactive substances synergistically promote wound repair has been rarely reported,and the mechanism of their combinatorial effect of exosome and metformin in wound healing remains unclear.Here,we engineered dual-loaded hydrogels possessing tissue adhesive,antioxidant,self-healing and electrical conductivity properties,wherein 4-armed SH-PEG cross-links with Ag^(+),which minimizes damage to the loaded goods and investigated their mechanism of promotion effect for wound repair.Multiwalled carbon nanotubes exhibiting good conductivity were also incorporated into the hydrogels to generate hydrogen bonds with the thiol group,creating a stable three-dimensional structure for exosome and metformin loading.The diabetic wound model of the present study suggests that the PEG/Ag/CNT-M+E hydrogel promotes wound healing by triggering cell proliferation and angiogenesis and relieving peritraumatic inflammation and vascular injury.The mechanism of the dual-loaded hydrogel involves reducing the level of reactive oxygen species by interfering with mitochondrial fission,thereby protecting F-actin homeostasis and alleviating microvascular dysfunction.Hence,we propose a drug-bioactive substance combination therapy and provide a potential mechanism for developing vascular function-associated strategies for treating chronic diabetic wounds.Yue Zhang Meng Li Yunchuan Wang Fei Han Kuo Shen Liang Luo Yan Li Yanhui Jia Jian Zhang Weixia Cai Kejia Wang Ming Zhao Jing Wang Xiaowen Gao Chenyang Tian Baolin Guo Dahai Hu 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,8:0

15Watt Linkage–Based Legged Deployable Landing Mechanism for Reusable Launch Vehicle: Principle, Prototype Design, and Experimental Validation显示文摘The reusable launch vehicle (RLV) presents a new avenue for reducing cost of space transportation. The landing mechanism, which provides landing support and impact absorption, is a vital component of the RLV at final stage of recovery. This study proposes a novel legged deployable landing mechanism (LDLM) for RLV. The Watt-II six-bar mechanism is adopted to obtain the preferred configuration via the application of the linkage variation approach. To endow the proposed LDLM with advantages of large landing support region, lightweight, and reasonable linkage internal forces, a multi-objective optimization paradigm is developed. Furthermore, the optimal scale parameters for guiding the LDLM prototype design is obtained numerically using the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-II (NSGA-II) evolutionary algorithm. A fully-functional scaled RLV prototype is developed by integrating the gravity-governed deploying scheme to facilitate unfolding action to avoid full-range actuation, a dual-backup locking mechanism to enhance reliability of structure stiffening as fully deployed, and a shock absorber (SA) with multistage honeycomb to offer reliable shock absorbing performance. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed LDLM is capable of providing rapid and smooth deployment (duration less than 1.5 s) with mild posture disturbance to the cabin (yaw and pitch fluctuations less than 6°). 16Parametric study on controllable growth of SrZrS_(3)thin films with good conductivity for photodetectors显示文摘SrZrS_(3)is a promising chalcogenide perovskite with unique advantages including high abundance of consisting elements,high chemical stability,strong light absorption above its direct band gap,excellent carrier transport ability.While unfortunately,due to the lack of breakthroughs in its thin film synthesis technique,its optoelectronic properties are not fully investigated,not to mention the device applications.In this work,large-area and uniform SrZrS_(3)thin film(5 cm×5 cm)was prepared by facile sputtering method,followed by a post-annealing treatment at a high temperature of 1000℃for 2–12 h under CS_(2)atmosphere.All SrZrS_(3)samples prepared adopt distorted orthorhombic structure with pnma space group and have high crystallinity.In addition,the band gap of SrZrS_(3)thin film is measured to be 2.29 eV,higher than that of the powder form(2.06 eV).Importantly,the light absorption coefficient of SrZrS_(3)thin film reaches over 105 cm^(−1),the carrier mobility is as high as 106 cm^(2)/(V∙s).The above advantages allow us to use the SrZrS_(3)thin film as photoactive layer for photodetector applications.Finally,a symmetrically structured photoconductive detector was fabricated,performing a high responsivity of 8 A/W(405 nm light excitation).These inspiring results promise the glorious application potential of SrZrS_(3)thin film in photodetectors,solar cells,other optoelectronic devices.Yurun Liang Yuewen Zhang Jie Xu Jingli Ma Huifang Jiang Xin Li Baolin Zhang Xu Chen Yongtao Tian Yanbing Han Zhifeng Shi 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0
17Galectin-7 overexpression destroys airway epithelial barrier in transgenic mice显示文摘When the integrity of airway epithelium is destroyed,the ordered airway barrier no longer exists and increases sensitivity to viral infections and allergens,leading to the occurrence of airway inflammation such as asthma.Here,we found that galectin-7 transgenic(+)mice exhibited abnormal airway structures as embryos and after birth.These abnormalities included absent or substantially reduced pseudostratified columnar ciliated epithelium and increased monolayer cells with irregular arrangement and widening of intercellular spaces.Moreover,airway tissue from galectin-7 transgenic(+)mice showed evidence of impaired cell–cell junctions and decreased expression of zonula occludens-1(ZO-1)and E-cadherin.When treated with respiratory syncytial virus(RSV)or ovalbumin(OVA),galectin-7 transgenic(+)mice developed substantially increased bronchial epithelial detachment and apoptosis,airway smooth muscle and basement membrane thickening,and enhanced airway responsiveness.We found that Galectin-7 localized in the cytoplasm and nucleus of bronchial epithelial cells,and that increased apoptosis was mediated through mitochondrial release of cytochrome c and upregulated JNK1 activation and expression of caspase-3 in galectin-7 Tg(+)mice.These findings suggested that Galectin-7 causes airway structural defects and destroys airway epithelium barrier,which predispose the airways to RSV or OVA-induced epithelial apoptosis,injury,and other asthma responses.Jing TIAN Ruxuan HE Yimu FAN Qianqian ZHANG Baolin TIAN Chunju ZHOU Chunyan LIU Mingjing SONG Shunying ZHAO 2021Integrative Zoology2021,16,2:0
18Mapk7 deletion in chondrocytes causes vertebral defects by reducing MEF2C/PTEN/AKT signaling显示文摘Mutation of the MAPK7 gene was related to human scoliosis.Mapk7 regulated the development of limb bones and skulls in mice.However,the role of MAPK7 in vertebral development is still unclear.In this study,we constructed Col2a1-cre;Mapk7 f/f transgenic mouse model to delete Mapk7 in cartilage,which displayed kyphosis and osteopenia.Mechanistically,Mapk7 loss decreased MEF2C expression and thus activated PTEN to oppose PI3K/AKT signaling in vertebral growth plate chondrocytes,which impaired chondrocyte hypertrophy and attenuated vertebral ossification.In vivo,systemic pharmacological activation of AKT rescued impaired chondrocyte hypertrophy and alleviated mouse vertebral defects caused by Mapk7 deficiency.Our study firstly clarified the mechanism by which MAPK7 was involved in vertebral development,which might contribute to understanding the pathology of spinal deformity and provide a basis for the treatment of developmental disorders of the spine.Chengzhi Wu Hengyu Liu Dongmei Zhong Xiaoming Yang Zhiheng Liao Yuyu Chen Shun Zhang Deying Su Baolin Zhang Chuan Li Liru Tian Caixia Xu Peiqiang Su 2024Genes & Diseases2024,11,2:0
