1mm Wave communications for 5G: implementation challenges and advances显示文摘The requirement of the fifth generation(5 G) wireless communication for high throughput motivates the wireless industry to use the mm Wave(millimeter wave) communications for its wide bandwidth advantage. To compensate the heavy path loss and increase the communications capacity, phased array beamforming and massive multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) techniques are employed at both the user equipment(UE) and base stations(BS). Considering the commercial requirements, 5 G mm Wave large array systems should be implemented in an energy-and cost-efficient way with a small form factor. To address above issues and realize a reliable communications link, taking into account the particular characteristics of5 G mm Wave systems, this paper firstly examines the design challenges and trade-offs in system implementations, then some of the design strategies are summarized. 2Gefitinib plus Fuzheng Kang'ai Formula(扶正抗癌方) in Patients with Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer with Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor Mutation:A Randomized Controlled Trial显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the effect of Fuzheng Kang'ai Formula(扶正抗癌方, FZKA) plus gefitinib in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer with epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) mutations. Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted from 2009 to 2012 in South China. Seventy chemotherapynaive patients diagnosed with stage ⅢB/Ⅳ non-small cell lung cancer with EGFR mutations were randomly assigned to GF group [gefitinib(250 mg/day orally) plus FZKA(250 m L, twice per day, orally); 35 cases] or G group(gefitinib 250 mg/day orally; 35 cases) according to the random number table and received treatment until progression of the disease, or development of unacceptable toxicities. The primary endpoint [progression-free survival(PFS)] and secondary endpoints [median survival time(MST), objective response rate(ORR), disease control rate(DCR) and safety] were observed. Results: No patient was excluded after randomization. GF group had significantly longer PFS and MST compared with the G group, with median PFS of 12.5 months(95% CI 3.30–21.69) vs. 8.4 months(95% CI 6.30–10.50; log-rank P<0.01), MST of 21.5 months(95% CI 17.28–25.73) vs. 18.3 months(95% CI 17.97–18.63; log-rank P<0.01). ORR and DCR in GF group and G group were 65.7% vs. 57.1%, 94.3% vs. 80.0%, respectively(P>0.05). The most common toxic effects in the GF group and G group were rash or acne(42.8% vs. 57.1%, P>0.05), diarrhea(11.5% vs. 31.4%, P<0.05), and stomatitis(2.9% vs. 8.7%, P>0.05). 5Consensus on the digestive endoscopic tunnel technique显示文摘With the digestive endoscopic tunnel technique(DETT), many diseases that previously would have been treated by surgery are now endoscopically curable by establishing a submucosal tunnel between the mucosa and muscularis propria(MP). Through the tunnel, endoscopic diagnosis or treatment is performed for lesions in the mucosa, in the MP, and even outside the gastrointestinal(GI) tract.At present, the tunnel technique application range covers the following:(1)Treatment of lesions originating from the mucosal layer, e.g., endoscopic submucosal tunnel dissection for oesophageal large or circular early-stage cancer or precancerosis;(2) treatment of lesions from the MP layer, per-oral endoscopic myotomy, submucosal tunnelling endoscopic resection, etc.; and(3) diagnosis and treatment of lesions outside the GI tract, such as resection of lymph nodes and benign tumour excision in the mediastinum or abdominal cavity. With the increasing number of DETTs performed worldwide, endoscopic tunnel therapeutics, which is based on DETT, has been gradually developed and optimized. However, there is not yet an expert consensus on DETT to regulate its indications, contraindications, surgical procedure, and postoperative treatment.The International DETT Alliance signed up this consensus to standardize the procedures of DETT. 6In situ observation of C_(60)(C(COOH)_(2))_(2) interacting with living cells using fluorescence microscopy显示文摘The interactions between nanoparticles and living cells were investigated by an imaging technique of fluorescence microscopy. For this pur- pose, the C60 derivative C60(C(COOH)2)2, a thera- peutic agent for degeneration diseases of central nervous system, was synthesized, purified and characterized. Its interaction with the living cell and penetration of the cellular membrane were in situ studied using the real time imaging technique, and its potential cytotoxicity was also examined by flow cy- tometry. The results indicate that C60(C(COOH)2)2 can easily enter cells, and is mainly located in cytoplasm by fluorescein labeling. Furthermore, C60(C(COOH)2)2 can carry the molecule that cannot cross cellular membranes into cells, because fluo- rescein compound itself cannot enter the cell or ad- here to membrane. 7Downtown Retailing Development Under Suburbanization——A Case Study of Beijing显示文摘The role of retailing has diminished in the center of cities of Western countries since its heyday in the 1920s. This trend was caused by violent transformations in the economic, social and locational contexts which involve resi- dential suburbanization, as well as new forms of commercial development out of town. As far as transforming China is concerned, the downtown retailing center has also come to turning point of development in the context of suburbaniza- tion. Based on the survey of Beijing residents’ shopping behavior, the present research tends to making clear the actual change and development problem of downtown retailing center. Combining with the macro retailing environment, re- lated influencing factors are further discussed too. Study results show that downtown retailing still plays an important part in resident’s shopping activity. However, with rapid urban sprawl, retailing in urban center has been greatly threatened by booming out-of-town commerce. In the course of such spatial change, the suburbanization of resident, the prevalence of new commercial forms and the change of consumers’ life style all have exerted their own pressure on downtown retailing. 8Ectopic expression of VRT-A2 underlies the origin of Triticum polonicum and Triticum petropavlovskyi with long outer glumes and grains显示文摘Polish wheat (Triticum polonicum) is a unique tetraploid wheat species characterized by an elongated outer glume. The genetic control of the long-glume trait by a single semi-dominant locus, P1 (from Polish wheat), was established more than 100 years ago, but the underlying causal gene and molecular nature remain elusive. Here, we report the isolation of VRT-A2, encoding an SVP-clade MADS-box transcription factor, as the P1 candidate gene. Genetic evidence suggests that in T. polonicum, a naturally occurring sequence rearrangement in the intron-1 region of VRT-A2 leads to ectopic expression of VRT-A2 in floral organs where the long-glume phenotype appears. Interestingly, we found that the intron-1 region is a key ON/OFF molecular switch for VRT-A2 expression, not only because it recruits transcriptional repressors, but also because it confers intron-mediated transcriptional enhancement. Genotypic analyses using wheat accessions indicated that the P1 locus is likely derived from a single natural mutation in tetraploid wheat, which was subsequently inherited by hexaploid T. petropavlovskyi. 10Simultaneous Determination of Eight Constituents in Fruits of Rubus chingii by UPLC显示文摘Objective To develop a simple,efficient,and reliable method for routine quantitative analysis of main constituents presented in the fruits of Rubus chingii,which is widely used in Chinese materia medica(CMM),known as Fupenzi(FPZ) in Chinese.Methods An ultra performance liquid chromatography-photo diode array(UPLC-PDA) system was employed for simultaneous quantification of eight compounds,i.e.adenosine,gallic acid,brevifolin carboxylic acid,ethyl gallate,ellagic acid,kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside,kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside,and tiliroside.The chromatographic analysis was performed on a C_(18) column using a gradient elution of acetonitrile-0.1%formic acid aqueous solution within a runtime of 25 min.Results All calibration curves were linear(R^2> 0.9997) over the tested ranges.The intra- and inter-day precisions as determined from sample solutions were both less than 2.45%and 2.78%,respectively.The average recoveries for the eight constituents ranged from 94.77%to 101.35%with RSD ≤ 4.41%.The newly-developed method was applied to the quality assessment of various R.chingii samples,including both ripe and unripe fruits of R.chingii from different habitats.Conclusion The relative levels of the investigated compounds vary remarkably in the fruits of R.chingii collected from different habitats.As only two of the eight compounds,adenosine and ellagic acid,are determined in the ripe fruits of R.chingii,the results may explain the reason why only the unripe fruits can be used in CMM.Xin Chai Long-fei Du Jing Yang Zhen-zuo Jiang Long Yang Yue-fei Wang Yan Zhu 2016Chinese Herbal Medicines2016,8,3:3
