2Optimal Load Balancing Leveling Method for Multi-leg Flexible Platforms显示文摘The working platforms supported with multiple extensible legs must be leveled before they come into operation.Although the supporting stiffness and reliability of the platform are improved with the increasing number of the supporting legs,the increased overdetermination of the multi-leg platform systems leads to leveling coupling problem among legs and virtual leg problem in which some of the supporting legs bear zero or quasi zero loads.These problems make it quite complex and time consuming to level such a multi-leg platform.Based on rigid body kinematics,an approximate equation is formulated to rapidly calculate the leg extension for leveling a rigid platform,then a proportional speed control strategy is proposed to reduce the unexpected platform distortion and leveling coupling between supporting legs.Taking both the load coupling between supporting legs and the elastic flexibility of the working platform into consideration,an optimal balancing legs' loads(OBLL) model is firstly put forward to deal with the traditional virtual leg problem.By taking advantage of the concept of supporting stiffness matrix,a coupling extension method(CEM) is developed to solve this OBLL problem for multi-leg flexible platform.At the end,with the concept of supporting stiffness matrix and static transmissibility matrix,an optimal load balancing leveling method is proposed to achieve geometric leveling and legs' loads balancing simultaneously.Three numerical examples are given out to illustrate the performance of proposed methods.This paper proposes a method which can effectively quantify all of the legs' extension at the same time,achieve geometric leveling and legs' loads balancing simultaneously.By using the proposed methods,the stability,precision and efficiency of auto-leveling control process can be improved.GANG Xianyue CHAI Shan 2013Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2013,26,5:5

4Effect of Cr on Characteristic of Rust Layer Formed on Low Alloy Steel in Flow-accelerated Corrosion Environment显示文摘The flow-accelerated corrosion experiments were carried out to research the effect of Cr on the rust layers formed on the carbon steel and Cr-containing steel,as well as the structure of rust layer of the two experimental steels.The influence of Cr on the flow-accelerated corrosion resistance and the corrosion morphology of inner rust layer formed on the Cr-containing steel were studied by the methods of polarization curves,scanning electron microscope,transmission electron microscope,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscope.The distribution of Cr and its form of existence in the inner rust layer were analyzed.The results show that corroded mass loss of Cr-containing steel is lower than that of carbon steel and its inner rust layer is compact.Cr exists in the form of Fe2CrO4 and is enriched in the inner rust layer.This concentration could make the inner rust layer exhibit the tendency of amorphous.This phenomenon is related to fine Fe2CrO4.The inner rust layer becomes more compact because of the formation of fine Fe2CrO4,and the protectiveness of inner rust layer could be improved remarkably.Feng CHAI Shan JIANG Cai-fu YANG 2016Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2016,23,6:3
53D printing of hydroxyapatite/tricalcium phosphate scaffold with hierarchical porous structure for bone regeneration显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D)-printed scaffolds have attracted considerable attention in recent years as they provide a suitable environment for bone cell tissue regeneration and can be customized in shape.Among many other challenges,the material composition and geometric structure have major impacts on the performance of scaffolds.Hydroxyapatite and tricalcium phosphate(HA/TCP),as the major constituents of natural bone and teeth,possess attractive biological properties and are widely used in bone scaffold fabrication.Many fabrication methods have been investigated in attempts to achieve HA/TCP scaffolds with microporous structure enabling cell growth and nutrient transport.However,current 3D printing methods can only achieve the fabrication of HA/TCP scaffolds with certain range of microporous structure.To overcome this challenge,we developed a slurry-based microscale mask image projection stereolithography,allowing us to form a HA/TCP-based photocurable suspension with complex geometry including biomimetic features and hierarchical porosity.Here,the curing performance and physical properties of the HA/TCP suspension were investigated,and a circular movement process for the fabrication of highly viscous HA/TCP suspension was developed.Based on these investigations,the scaffold composition was optimized.We determined that a 30 wt%HA/TCP scaffold with biomimetic hierarchical structure exhibited superior mechanical properties and porosity.Cell proliferation was investigated in vitro,and the surgery was conducted in a nude mouse in vivo model of long bone with cranial neural crest cells and bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells.The results showed our 3D-printed HA/TCP scaffold with biomimetic hierarchical structure is biocompatible and has sufficient mechanical strength for surgery.Xiangjia Li Yuan Yuan Luyang Liu Yuen‑Shan Leung Yiyu Chen Yuxing Guo Yang Chai Yong Chen 2020Bio-Design and Manufacturing2020,3,1:3
6High Impact Resistance Epoxy Resins by Incorporation of Quadruply Hydrogen Bonded Supramolecular Polymers显示文摘A bisphenol A based epoxy was incorporated with a quadruply hydrogen bonded supramolecular polymer as a toughening agent to prepare a composite epoxy resin with higher impact resistance. The supramolecular polymer comprising poly-(propylene glycol) bis(2-aminopropyl) ether chains and 2-ureido-4[1H]-pyrimidinone moieties(UPy) self-assembled into spherical domains with sizes of 300 nm to 600 nm in diameter by micro phase separation in bulk epoxy matrixes. A significant improvement of 300% in impact resistance of the supramolecular polymer incorporated epoxy resin was obtained when the content of supramolecular polymer was 10 wt%. 7Efficacy of Sijunzi decoction(四君子汤) on limb weakness in spleen Qi deficiency model rats through adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase/unc-51 like autophagy activating kinase 1 signaling显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the efficacy of Sijunzi decoction(四君子汤)on limb weakness in a rat model of spleen Qi deficiency(SQD),and to study its effect on mitophagy in skeletal muscle through adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase(AMPK)/unc-51 like autophagy activating kinase 1(ULK1)signaling.METHODS:SQD model rats were produced by fasting combined with forced swimming method for15 d.After model assessment,rats were randomly divided into four groups of 10[low/middle/high(L/M/H)Sijunzi decoction dose groups and a normal saline(S)group].Limb holding power(HP)and body mass(BM)were measured after 2 weeks of treatment.Following euthanasia,quadriceps femoris were dissected and myofiber and mitochondrial morphology were observed by transmission electron microscopy(TEM).Mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP),adenosine triphosphatase(ATP)and reactive oxygen species(ROS)levels were determined using colorimetric methods,and immunoblot analysis of Microtubule-associated protein light chain 3(LC3)and Sequestosome 1(p62)was performed to monitor mitophagy and AMPK/ULK1 signaling.RESULTS:Compared with control(C)group rats,in the S group,HP was reduced,the myofiber Z line was disordered,mitochondria were scattered,and numerous vacuoles and mitophagy were observed.MMP and ATP levels were reduced,ROS levels were elevated,and LC3B expression,and p-AMPKα(Thr172)/AMPKα,p-ULK1(Ser555)/ULK1,and p-Raptor(Ser792)/Raptor ratios were increased,while p62 expression and p-mT OR(Ser2448)/mT OR and p-ULK1(Ser757)/ULK1 ratios were decreased.After treatment,compared with the S group,HP was improved in M and H groups but not in the L group.Mitophagy was reduced in M,H and L groups but the Z line was disordered and vacuolization remained in the L group.ATP levels were elevated in M,H and L groups,and MMPs were elevated in M and H groups but not in the L group.ROS levels were decreased in M,H and L groups,as were LC3B expression and p-Raptor(Ser792)/Raptor ratios,while p62 expression and p-mT OR(Ser2448)/mT OR and p-ULK1(Ser757)/ULK1 ratios were increased in M and H groups but not in the L group.p-AMPKα(Thr172)/AMPKαand p-ULK1(Ser555)/ULK1 ratios were decreased in M,H and L groups.CONCLUSIONS:Sijunzi decoction improved HP,possibly by inhibiting mitophagy via suppression of AMPK/ULK1 signaling.This restored mitochondrial morphology and improved oxidative phosphorylation,which contributed to recovery of limb weakness in SQD model rats.LIU Wenjun XU Xinzhu DUAN Zhiyuan LIANG Xicai MA Dan LI Gege XIE Xin CHAI Jiyan CHEN Jing SHAN Dehong 2021Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,4:2
8A mobile polar atmospheric parameter measurement system:Ⅱ. First atmospheric turbulence observation at Antarctic Taishan Station显示文摘This is the second paper of a series devoted to atmospheric optical turbulence C2 n observation using a mobile polar atmospheric parameter measurement system. We present the initial results of C2 n measurement at Antarctic Taishan Station using micro-thermal sensors and a three-dimensional sonic anemometer at height ~2.0 m above the snow surface. The site testing experiments were carried out during the 30 th Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition(CHINARE). We collected about 1 000 h of data between 30 December 2013 and 10 February 2014. The C2 n curve exhibits clear daily structures, with two peaks around midnight and midday and two troughs around 7:30 and 17:00 local time(UTC+5). The mean C2 n is 2.7×10-15 m-2/3 and the 25 th and 75 th percentiles of the C215 n cumulative distribution are 9.6×10-16 m-2/3 and 6.2×10- m-2/3, respectively. 9LS-SVR and AGO Based Time Series Prediction Method显示文摘Recently,fault or health condition prediction of complex systems becomes an interesting research topic. However,it is difficult to establish precise physical model for complex systems,and the time series properties are often necessary to be incorporated for the prediction in practice. Currently,the LS-SVR is widely adopted for prediction of systems with time series data. In this paper,in order to improve the prediction accuracy,accumulated generating operation( AGO) is carried out to improve the data quality and regularity of raw time series data based on grey system theory; then,the inverse accumulated generating operation( IAGO) is performed to obtain the prediction results. In addition,due to the reason that appropriate kernel function plays an important role in improving the accuracy of prediction through LS-SVR,a modified Gaussian radial basis function( RBF) is proposed. The requirements of distance functions-based kernel functions are satisfied,which ensure fast damping at the place adjacent to the test point and a moderate damping at infinity. The presented model is applied to the analysis of benchmarks. 11Discovery of a wild,genetically pure Chinese giant salamander creates new conservation opportunities显示文摘Effective conservation of threatened biota relies on accurate assessments and scientific guidance.As an unfortunate example,Chinese giant salamanders(Andrias,CGS)remain critically endangered in nature.Misguided conservation efforts,e.g.,commercial propagation and releasing of millions of likely non-indigenous or interspecific hybrids,have further compromised conservation initiatives.Limited information on wild populations of CGS poses a significant conservation challenge.Following 18-month long field monitoring,we now report the discovery of a wild population of CGS in a closed nature reserve in Jiangxi Province,China.Genomic assessments reveal its genetic distinctiveness and do not detect genetic admixture with other species.Based on morphological and molecular evidences,we describe this CGS as a new species Andrias jiangxiensis sp.nov.This is the only known species of CGS today with a genetically pure,reproducing,in situ population.This discovery emphasizes the important role that closed nature reserves play in protecting species,and the necessity of integrating long-term field monitoring and genetic assessments.It sets a new pathway for discovering and conserving endangered species,especially for those biotas that are similarly being extirpated by anthropogenic translocations and overexploitation.Jing Chai Chen-Qi Lu Mu-Rong Yi Nian-Hua Dai Xiao-Dong Weng Ming-Xiao Di Yong Peng Yong Tang Qing-Hua Shan Kai Wang Huan-Zhang Liu Hai-Peng Zhao Jie-Qiong Jin Ru-Jun Cao Ping Lu Lai-Chun Luo Robert W.Murphy Ya-Ping Zhang Jing Che 2022Zoological Research2022,43,3:2

16Multi-year assessment of paralytic shellfish toxins in hard clam species along the coastline of Jiangsu Province, China显示文摘Paralytic shellfish toxins(PSTs) are notorious neurotoxins that threaten public health and food safety worldwide.Although PST monitoring programs have recently been established throughout China, the profiles and variation of PSTs in important commercial clams(e.g., Mactra veneriformis, Ruditapes philippinarum, and Meretrix meretrix) along the Jiangsu Province coastline remain largely unexplored. In this study, a validated hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry(HILIC-MS/MS) method was used to examine PST profiles and levels in 540 clam samples from natural production areas along Jiangsu Province coastline during2014–2016. Although the PST levels(≤6.38 μg saxitotoxin equivalents(eq)/kg) were consistently below European Union regulatory limits(≤800 μg saxitotoxin eq/kg) during this time period, saxitotoxin, decarbamoylsaxitotoxin,and gonyautoxins 1 and 4 were detected, and nearly 40% of the samples were saxitotoxin-positive. The PST levels also varied significantly by seasons, with peak values observed in May during 2014–2016. 17Multivariate Rational Response Surface Approximation of Nodal Displacements of Truss Structures显示文摘Polynomial-basis response surface method has some shortcomings for truss structures in structural optimization,concluding the low fitting accuracy and the great computational effort. Based on the theory of approximation, a response surface method based on Multivariate Rational Function basis(MRRSM) is proposed. In order to further reduce the computational workload of MRRSM, focusing on the law between the cross-sectional area and the nodal displacements of truss structure, a conjecture that the determinant of the stiffness matrix and the corresponding elements of adjoint matrix involved in displacement determination are polynomials with the same order as their respective matrices, each term of which is the product of cross-sectional areas, is proposed. The conjecture is proved theoretically for statically determinate truss structure, and is shown corrected by a large number of statically indeterminate truss structures. The theoretical analysis and a large number of numerical examples show that MRRSM has a high fitting accuracy and less computational effort.
