1Recent advances in nanorobotic manipulation inside scanning electron microscopes显示文摘A scanning electron microscope(SEM)provides real-time imaging with nanometer resolution and a large scanning area,which enables the development and integration of robotic nanomanipulation systems inside a vacuum chamber to realize simultaneous imaging and direct interactions with nanoscaled samples.Emerging techniques for nanorobotic manipulation during SEM imaging enable the characterization of nanomaterials and nanostructures and the prototyping/assembly of nanodevices.This paper presents a comprehensive survey of recent advances in nanorobotic manipulation,including the development of nanomanipulation platforms,tools,changeable toolboxes,sensing units,control strategies,electron beam-induced deposition approaches,automation techniques,and nanomanipulation-enabled applications and discoveries.The limitations of the existing technologies and prospects for new technologies are also discussed.Chaoyang Shi Devin K Luu Qinmin Yang Jun Liu Jun Chen Changhai Ru Shaorong Xie Jun Luo Ji Ge Yu Sun 2016Microsystems & Nanoengineering2016,2,1:4

44–λ hybrid InGaAsP-Si evanescent laser array with low power consumption for on-chip optical interconnects显示文摘A 4 –λ hybrid InGaAsP-Si evanescent laser array is obtained by bonding III–V distributed feedback lasers to a silicon on insulator(SOI) substrate using a selective area metal bonding technique. Multiple wavelengths are realized by varying the width of the III–V ridge waveguide. The threshold current is less than 10 mA for all wavelength channels under continuous-wave(CW) operation at room temperature, and the lowest threshold current density is 0.76 kA∕cm2. The side mode suppression ratio(SMSR) is higher than 40 dB for all wavelength channels when the injection current is between 20 mA and 70 mA at room temperature, and the highest SMSR is up to 51 dB. A characteristic temperature of 51 K and thermal impedance of 144°C/W are achieved on average.The 4 –λ hybrid InGaAsP-Si evanescent laser array exhibits a low threshold and high SMSR under CW operation at room temperature. 5Differential immune responses in pregnant patients recovered from COYID-19显示文摘Pregnant women are generally more susceptible to viral infection.Although the impact of SARS-CoV-2 in pregnancy remains to be determined,evidence indicates that the risk factors for severe COVID-19 are similar in pregnancy to the general population.Here we systemically analyzed the clinical characteristics of pregnant and non-pregnant female COVID-19 patients who were hospitalized during the same period and found that pregnant patients developed marked lymphopenia and higher inflammation evident by higher C-reactive protein and IL-6.To elucidate the pathways that might contribute to immunopathology or protective immunity against COVID-19 during pregnancy,we applied single-cell mRNA sequencing to profile peripheral blood mononuclear cells from four pregnant and six non-pregnant female patients after recovery along with four pregnant and three non-pregnant healthy donors.We found normal clonal expansion of T cells in the pregnant patients,heightened activation and chemotaxis in NK,NKT,and MAIT cells,and differential interferon responses in the monocyte compartment.Our data present a unique feature in both innate and adaptive immune responses in pregnant patients recovered from COVID-19.Ge Chen Yiming Zhang Yaoyao Zhang Jihui Ai Bin Yang Mengge Cui Qiuyue Liao Hanxiao Chen Hualin Bai Dashing Shang Jing Chen ChaoYang Sun Haiyi Liu Fengyuan Liu Bin Mao Guoqiang Sun Lu Chen Jing-wen Lin Kezhen Li 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,8:0
