| 1 | Effect of burden and origin sites of premature ventricular contractions on left ventricular function by 7-day Holter monitor显示文摘Recent studies have shown that premature ventricular contractions(PVCs) could enlarge the heart,but its risk factors are incompletely understood as a single 24-hour recording cannot reflect the true PVC burden due to day-to-day variability.Our purpose was to investigate the effect of burden and origin sites on left ventricular(LV) function in patients with PVCs by 7-day Holter electrocardiography(ECG).From May 2012 to August2013,112 consecutive patients with PVCs were recruited from the authors' affiliated hospital.All patients received2-dimensional transthoracic echocardiography,12-lead routing ECG and 7-days Holter ECG.Serum N-terminal probrain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP) levels were measured.A total of 102 participants with PVCs were included in the final analysis.Origin of PVCs from the tricuspid annulus had the highest burden and NT-proBNP level.LV papillary muscle had a higher LV ejection fraction(EF) level and a lower LV end-systolic dimension(ESD) than other PVC foci(P<0.05).The high burden group had a higher LV end-diastolic dimension(EDD) and LVESD but lower LVEF than the other two groups(P<0.05).Female,older age,physical work,and history of PVCs had a significantly positive correlation with symptoms.Male,older age,physical work,and high burden were positive predictors of enlarged LVEDD,LVESD and higher serum NT-proBNP level,but lower LVEF.Seven-day dynamic ECG Holter monitor showed the true PVC burden on patients with PVCs.PVCs with a lower burden or origin from the LV papillary muscle and the fascicle were relatively benign,while PVCs with a higher burden or origin from the tricuspid annulus may lead to cardiac dysfunction. | Wenhua Xu Mingfang Li Minglong Chen Bing Yang Daowu Wang Xiangqing Kong Hongwu Chen Weizhu Ju Kai Gu Kejiang Cao Hailei Liu Qi Jiang Jiaojiao Shi Yan Cui Hong Wang | 2015 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2015,29,6: | 4 |
| 2 | Assessment of atrial electromechanical interval using echocardiography after catheter ablation in patients with persistent atrial fibrillation显示文摘We sought to investigate variation of atrial electromechanical interval after catheter ablation procedure in patients with persistent atrial fibrillation using pulse Doppler(PW) and pulse tissue Doppler imaging(PW-TDI).A total of 25 consecutive in-patients with persistent atrial fibrillation,who restored sinus rhythm after ablation procedure,were recruited in our cardiac center.Echocardiography was performed on each patient at 2 hours,1 day,5 days,1 month and 3 months after the ablation therapy,and atrial electromechanical delay was measured simultaneously by PW and PW-TDI.There was no significant difference between PW and TDI in measuring atrial electromechanical delay.However,at postoperative 2 hours,peak A detection rates were mathematically but nonsignificantly greater by PWTDI than by PW.Second,there was a significant decreasing trend in atrial electromechanical interval from postoperative 2 hours to 3 months,but only postoperative 2-hour atrial electromechanical interval was significantly greater than atrial electromechanical interval at other time.Lastly,patients without postoperative 2-hour atrial electromechanical interval had a significantly longer duration of atrial fibrillation as compared to those with postoperative 2-hour atrial electromechanical interval,by the PW or by PW-TDI,respectively.In patients with persistent atrial fibrillation,atrial electromechanical interval may decrease significantly within the first 24 hours after ablation but remain consistent later,and was significantly related to patients' duration of atrial fibrillation.Atrial electromechanical interval,as a potential predicted factor,is recommended to be measured by either PW or TDI after24 hours,when patients had recovered sinus rhythm by radiofrequency ablation. | Xiaodong Chen Minglong Chen Yingying Wang Bing Yang Weizhu Ju Fengxiang Zhang Kejiang Cao | 2016 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2016,30,6: | 2 |
| 3 | Efficient biosynthesis of 2-keto-D-gluconic acid by fed-batch culture of metabolically engineered Gluconobacter japonicus显示文摘2-keto-D-gluconic acid(2-KGA)is a key precursor for synthesising vitamin C and isovitamin C.However,phage contamination is as constant problem in industrial production of 2-KGA using Pseudomonas fluorescens.Gluconobacter holds promise for producing 2-KGA due to impressive resistance to hypertonicity and acids,and high utilisation of glucose.In this study,the 2-KGA synthesis pathway was regulated to enhance production of 2-KGA and reduce accumulation of the by-products 5-keto-D-gluconic acid(5-KGA)and D-gluconic acid(D-GA)in the 2-KGA producer Gluconobacter japonicus CGMCC 1.49.Knocking out the ga5dh-1 gene from a competitive pathway and overexpressing the ga2dh-A gene from the 2-KGA synthesis pathway via homologous recombination increased the titre of 2-KGA by 63.81%in shake flasks.Additionally,accumulation of 5-KGA was decreased by 63.52%with the resulting G.japonicas-Δga5dh-1-ga2dh-A strain.Using an intermittent fed-batch mode in a 3 L fermenter,2-KGA reached 235.3 g L^−1 with a 91.1%glucose conversion rate.Scaling up in a 15 L fermenter led to stable 2-KGA titre with productivity of 2.99 g L^−1 h^−1,11.99%higher than in the 3 L fermenter,and D-GA and 5-KGA by-products were completely converted to 2-KGA. | Weizhu Zeng Wen Cai Li Liu Guocheng Du Jian Chen Jingwen Zhou | 2019 | Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2019,4,3: | 1 |

| 6 | Comparison of UV and UV-LED activated sodium percarbonate for the degradation of O-desmethylvenlafaxine显示文摘As an active metabolite of venlafaxine and emerging antidepressant,Odesmethylvenlafaxine(ODVEN) was widely detected in different water bodies,which caused potential harm to human health and environmental safety.In this study,the comparative work on the ODVEN degradation by UV(254 nm) and UV-LED(275 nm) activated sodium percarbonate(SPC) systems was systematically performed.The higher removal rate of ODVEN can be achieved under UV-LED direct photolysis(14.99%) than UV direct photolysis(4.57%) due to the higher values of photolysis coefficient at the wavelength 275nm.Significant synergistic effects were observed in the UV/SPC(80.38%) and UV-LED/SPC(53.57%) systems and the former exhibited better performance for the elimination of ODVEN.The degradation of ODVEN all followed the pseudo-first-order kinetics well in these processes,and the pseudo-first-order rate constant(kobs) increased with increasing SPC concentration.Radicals quenching experiments demonstrated that both ·OH and CO_(3)·-were involved in the degradation of ODVEN and the second-order rate constant of ODVEN with CO_(3)·-(1.58 × 10^(8)(mol/L)-1sec-1) was reported for the first time based on competitive kinetic method.The introduction of HA,Cl-,NO_(3)-and HCO_(3)-inhibited the ODVEN degradation to varying degrees in the both processes.According to quantum chemical calculation,radical addition at the ortho-position of the phenolic hydroxyl group was confirmed to be the main reaction pathways for the oxidation of ODVEN by·OH.In addition,the oxidation of ODVEN may involve the demethylation,H-abstraction,OH^(-)addition and C-N bond cleavage.Eventually,the UV-LED/SPC process was considered to be more cost-effective compared to the UV/SPC process,although the UV/SPC process possessed a higher removal rate of ODVEN. | Jing Deng Anhong Cai Xiao Ling Qian Sun Tianxin Zhu Qingsong Li Xueyan Li Weizhu Chen | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,4: | 1 |
| 7 | Epicardial adipose tissue around the superior vena cava: A single center study of factors related to atrial fibrillation显示文摘The superior vena cava(SVC)is the main component of non-pulmonary vein(PV)ectopy in patients with atrial fibrillation(AF).Researchers have found that epicardial adipose tissue(EAT)volume is related to the AF substrate,which can be defined by the low voltage area(LVA).This study aimed to investigate the relationship between SVC-EAT and SVC-AF.Twenty-six patients with SVC-AF triggers were identified as the SVC-AF group.Other three groups were defined and included as the LVA-AF group(LVA>5%),non-LVA-AF group(LVA<5%),and physical examination(PE)group.EAT around left atrium(LA-EAT)and SVC-EAT volumes were obtained using a cardiac risk assessment module.According to the SVC/LA-EAT ratio,there are significant differences between the SVC-AF group and the three control groups(the SVC-AF group 0.092±0.041 vs.the LVA-AF group 0.054±0.026,the non-LVA-AF group 0.052±0.022,and the PE group 0.052±0.019,all P<0.001).Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis suggests the optimal cut-off point of SVC/LA-EAT ratio is 6.8%for detecting SVC-AF patients,with 81.1%sensitivity,73.1%specificity,and an area under the curve of 0.83(95%confidence interval,0.75-0.91).Those with SVC-AF have a higher SVC/LA-EAT ratio and empirical SVC isolation could be considered if the SVC/LA-EAT ratio was over 6.8%. | Xingxing Sun Jun Wang Qing Yan Weizhu Ju Fengxiang Zhang Gang Yang Kai Gu Hailei Liu Zidun wang Xiaohong Jiang Mingfang Li Di Xu Yi Xu Hongwu Chen Minglong Chen | 2022 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2022,36,6: | 0 |
