| 1 | Rationale and Study Design for Evaluating the Efficacy and Safety of Intracardiac Echocardiography-Guided Minimal-Fluoroscopy Ablation in Patients with Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation:A Non-Inferior,Multi-Center,Prospective Randomized Controlled Trial(PAF-ICE Trial)显示文摘The feasibility and safety of intracardiac echocardiography(ICE)-guided catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation(AF)using a minimal/zero-fluoroscopy approach have recently been reported. This approach helps to reduce ionizing radiation exposure and orthopedic complications resulting from using lead aprons. The objectives of this planned prospective, multicenter randomized controlled trial(RCT)(paroxysmal AF(PAF)-ICE trial;ChiCTR2000033624)are to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ICE-guided minimal-fluoroscopy ablation in patients with PAF and the impact on occupational hazards among lab staff.Patients will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to 2 groups:minimal fluoroscopy group(n=216)and traditional approach group(n=216).In the minimal fluoroscopy group,an ICE catheter will be used for geometry/anatomic construction, transseptal puncture, catheter tracking, and effusion monitoring.Pulmonary vein isolation(PVI)will be performed using an open-irrigated radiofrequency SmartTouch Surround Flow or SmartTouch catheter(Biosense Webster,Diamond Bar,California,USA),and confirmed by a multipolar Lasso or PentaRay catheter(Biosense Webster). In the traditional approach group,an ICE catheter will not be used.Transseptal puncture will be performed under fluoroscopic guidance, with all geometries constructed by mapping the catheters. The primary efficacy endpoint is freedom from AF recurrence(without antiarrhythmic medications)at 12months after ablation.Other endpoints include duration of lead apron use, measures of intra-procedural efficiency, and peri-procedural complications. This RCT will evaluate the efficacy and safety of ICE-guided minimal-fluoroscopy ablation in patients with PAF,also evaluate the benefits to lab staff(regarding reducing occupational hazards)related to this“minimal/zero-fluoroscopy”and“leadless”mode. | Ruhong Jiang Xingpeng Liu Jidong Zhang Yu Chen Rui Wang Mengzuo Wu Deyong Long Jia Li Haixiong Wang Jie Fan Weizhu Ju Weili Ge Xu Liu Hai Deng Weijian Wang Pingzhen Yang Ding Li Xiaobo Huang Xiongtao Liu Hailong Tao Paul CZei Roderick Tung Xunzhang Wang Chenyang Jiang | 2021 | Cardiology Discovery2021,1,4: | 1 |

| 3 | The amelioration of degraded larch(Larix olgensis)soil depends on the proportion of Aralia elata litter in larch-A.elata agroforestry systems显示文摘Research has indicated that introducing Aralia elata into larch plantations forms an agroforestry system which could provide economic benefi ts for local farmers and improve degraded soils. However, the impact of litter mixtures on soil chemical and microbial properties in this agroforestry system are unclear, which limits effi cient management of the agroforestry system.A 365-d incubation experiment examined the eff ect of litter mixtures of diff erent proportions of larch(L)and A.elata(A)on soil chemical and microbial properties. The results show that levels of mineral N,available P,microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen, cumulative C mineralization, and activities of hydrolases and oxidases increased with an increase of A.elata in the litter mixtures.Concentration of total soil carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorous did not change(except for total nitrogen).Compared with larch litter alone, levels of mineral N,available P,microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen, cumulative C mineralization, and the activities of hydrolases and oxidases increased by 7.6–433.5%.Most chemical and microbial properties were positively correlated with mixed litter proportions and the initial levels of N,P,K,Ca,Mg,Mn,Zn and Cu in the litter, while negatively correlated with the initial concentrations of C,Fe and lignin,C/N and lignin/N ratios. The results indicate that A.elata litter can improve degraded larch soil and the degree depends on the proportion of A.elata litter in the litter mixtures. | Pingzhen Gao Jiaojun Zhu Qiaoling Yan Kai Yang Jinxin Zhang | 2023 | Journal of Forestry Research2023,34,4: | 0 |
| 4 | Maturation of induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes and its therapeutic effect on myocardial infarction in mouse显示文摘Induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes(iPSC-CMs)have an irreplaceable role in the treatment of myocardial infarction(MI),which can be injected into the transplanted area with new cardiomyocytes(Cardiomyocytes,CMs),and improve myocardial function. However, the immaturity of the structure and function of iPSC-CMs is the main bottleneck at present.Since collagen participates in the formation of extracellular matrix(ECM),we synthesized nano colloidal gelatin(Gel)with collagen as the main component, and confirmed that the biomaterial has good biocompatibility and is suitable for cellular in vitro growth.Subsequently,we combined the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway inhibitor BEZ-235 with Gel and found that the two combined increased the sarcomere length and action potential amplitude(APA)of iPSC-CMs,and improved the Ca^(2+)processing ability, the maturation of mitochondrial morphological structure and metabolic function. Not only that,Gel can also prolong the retention rate of iPSC-CMs in the myocardium and increase the expression of Cx43 and angiogenesis in the transplanted area of mature iPSC-CMs,which also provides a reliable basis for the subsequent treatment of mature iPSC-CMs. | Peng Wu Xiyalatu Sai Zhetao Li Xing Ye Li Jin Guihuan Liu Ge Li Pingzhen Yang Mingyi Zhao Shuoji Zhu Nanbo Liu Ping Zhu | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,2: | 0 |
